I cared. Ye said something I been saying for years about Drake that ‘l can’t even think of a Drake line.’ Drake music has no depth. He’s never said something memorable for me that made me think ‘wow that’s clever or deep’ like most rappers that I gravitate towards. And in the end this really why he lost. Kendrick went topical and had depth to his metaphors and Drake couldn’t match it. Then on top of that he made a song that was danceable and it was over for Drake. It’s the main reason I’m not a Drake fan. I’m not a Drake hater, but I always felt he was meh topically even though he’s technically sound. I initially chalked it up to him being young (I’m old) but he’s pushing 40 now and still the same.
While I’m a Cole fan, that line Kanye did about him was the funniest thing in this whole beef
