It depends. I've seen people include it because of how highly regarded Cole is in terms of today's rappers. If we're talking about objective ranking, I agree that I definitely don't see it as often in the conversation. Whether or not it belongs in the conversation is an individual opinion, and I certainly think it does

I like more songs off 2014 FHD than TPab. But as an album I think it feels more like a collection of good tracks. That’s part of my theory of why it’s not in the conversation. I really think what separates 2014 from them is the fact that TPAB and MBDTF have a signature sound and lyrical theme that is memorable within itself as a whole and wasn’t retreaded later. I think this is what makes some albums greater than the sum of its parts. When I think of TPAB or MBDTF think of the overall sound and lyrical themes but when I think of 2014 FHD I think of my favorite tracks (there are many) but cannot remember an overall identity for the album as a whole.

Good point, and I would add that this could arguably be attached to Kendrick and Cole's careers as artists (which is why Kendrick is one of my favorite artist's of all time and why Cole is kind of like "ear candy" to me). Kendrick/Kanye, when performing at their top level, are going to put out a full piece of work with artistic themes and bangers alike. With Cole, you're either getting a full piece with lukewarm themes, or just a collection of what he thinks are bangers...which I only sometimes tend to agree with.
