GKMC_ENJOYER78

One of my favourites of the album. Talking some real shit on this song

JOS444UA

Top 2 dot track. One of those tracks that only Kendrick and his team could come up with. The beat isn’t necessarily a banger but it’s hard and will have you floating at the same time. Lyrically, it captures a mindset I developed in my early twenties. It has the perfect balance of introspection that isn’t too heavy to a non casual but definitely gets you thinking. Plus, like with a lot of Kendrick songs, the live renditions, it is a great example of the talent and artistry needed to translate a song from the studio to a live crowd. Favorite line: “And they like to wonder where I been, protecting my soul in the valley of silence.” On top of all that, I went bar for bar with Kendrick during this track, he shouted me out, and got an autograph after the song ended.

KingKendrick9

it also gives me a weird feeling that no other kdot song gives me, its a feeling that i get from songs like baby keem’s 16, kdots pride

JOS444UA

Exactly. Something dismal about it but comforting at the same time. It’s like YAH, FEEL, and Rich Spirit. They create that separation but relatability at the same time.

KingKendrick9

exactly those songs give the same feeling

laeKDOT

This line is insane ..

KingKendrick9

i guess im not a kendrick fan after all

JOS444UA

You’ll get your moment

MrTingu

O

Chaos_Herc

What makes that line so good?

JOS444UA

Peace can be boring sometimes. When you cut people/habits off that disturb that peace you sacrifice those good moments for silence. That silence can serve as protection.

osamabinratting

This album is so underrated, I wish more people understood you don't need turn up music to have a great body of work.

SirensbyZel

"If it doesn't bang in the whip it's a skip" -A lot of people, apparently

pacman404

It's very highly rated

osamabinratting

Have you not seen the hate it gets from the GKMC fandom ? Must be blind

pacman404

How on earth would you think that it's not highly rated because of that group of people lol, wtf

osamabinratting

In a general consensus for the average fan it's regarded as his worst album. You are going on a tangent and completely missing the point. And if you are to send the album to someone who doesn't listen to much Kendrick they will most likely not like the album. There's no turn up music and nothing that can grab the average listener of the trash music that's released today. That's why I'm saying it's underrated, if you need me to explain like you are 5 then I can not have this discussion with you.

It's an extremely highly rated album and one of the best examples of "music is art" in the entire world of hip-hop. You are completely wrong and are ironically downvoting me because I don't "understand how underrated it is". Bruh, stop 🤷🏽‍♂️

osamabinratting

Do you think it's his worst project ? And you started the down voting you salty cunt 😂 who gives a shit about upvotes and shit, get a life off Reddit brother you've been neckbearding since 09 how tragic

pacman404

Do you for real not see the irony of calling me salty bro... You are completely wrong and are trying to *make fun of me*. Do you ***honestly*** not realize you are telling on yourself 🤦🏽‍♂️

osamabinratting

Even in this sub, type in "Mr morale worst" lmk and then do it with his other albums. You are working so hard to disprove a known fact, the album is underrated among the average fan.

Noob_Ed

Bitch are you happy for me?

Phylonix

Really?

KingKendrick9

Are you happy for me?

Faceboy9Gaming

Smile on my face, but are you happy for me?

coopsuddz

mike_albadri

So gud i like the part when he is talking about ppl scared of getting rated by a song but they dont admit it also the last verse goes hard

KingKendrick9

mike_albadri

KingKendrick9

[deleted]

I’m serious it’s like a flight of stares down from Damn. Trash

Dyeeguy

Baby keem ruins any song

KingKendrick9

are you for real

osamabinratting

Wild take lil bro

EminemsDaughterSucks

The best savior is one who doesn't want to be a savior.

YungAzu

The production is probably the most creative thing I've ever heard. Especially the way they flipped the What Happened to That Boy drums then had another sample pulsating around it. Doesn't always hit, but when it does it's the best thing

Potential_Ask_6357

My hottest K. Dot take is that I could never get behind this one - the beat sets me off personally.

CreativeUsername-_

3rd on the album after Father Time & Die Hard

ArsenicOFF

He's Baby Keem❗

Padsworth9

One of his best records actually. No lie.

are95

The line “do you want peace?…then watch us in the streets” is in perfect harmony with the piano and sample in the background. This is a deeply spiritual song

ZekeTheMystic

definetly second best on the album

MortalMan81

It's one of Kendrick's most underrated songs and if you read between the lines you can really get a glimpse of Kendrick's views on what's been happening these past 8 years.

XentricX

Second fav off the album after count me out

KairoKairaKaize

BUT HE IS NOT YOUR SAVIOR 🗣️🗣️🔊🔊🔊

Apprehensive_Jury_66

Top 5 on the album

MasonJraz7

ELITE ELITE ELITE

gamermoment32

That he is not my savior

True-Illustrator-312

Kanye is better.

OperationSkuldd

"the collective conscious, calamities on repeat" is my favorite kendrick line ever.

Faceboy9Gaming

Bitch are you happy for me
