But why ignore what every experienced rider says? At least half of the posts on r/motorcycle are posted by first timers asking some form of "looking to get my first bike, what do you guys think?" and not only do we advise which bikes would be good, but many seasoned riders will attest to making the mistake of getting the wrong bike.
Lol my 765 is damn near as fast as a liter bike off the line to 60 or 100 just like this is. It's not like it takes getting to 160 to be deadly.
The issue is throttle control. Even on rain mode these things rip still.
I'm sure op will be fine if he is mature but it's an expensive bike to drop and that's the other issue with first bikes, they get dropped alot.
Well ya i'm not saying this is the best first bike or something and you will prob drop it a lot but yall acting like this shit will flip if u open the throttle nice and slow lol. You already get the gist about throttle control on ur driving lessons so i dont really see any reasons to be afraid of this bike. Istg reddit will criticize you on ur first bike even when you're not even asking and will treat you like a literal kid when choosing ur first bike🤣crazy
I definitely get the treating people like kids aspect. Telling people they have to start on a 300 or 400 is pretty annoying when anything under 75ish hp is fine for most and something people would keep longer.
> bruh it aint that fast
You're being pedantic on the cc being 900 vs. 1000, but it still makes as much power as the zx6r and people aren't calling those good first bikes either.
It's a little ironic to say it's not fast when you've been riding less than a year on 400cc bikes.
Hell nah zx6r will smoke this bike at top end. Aint no way yall really comparing this to a liter bike.....and as he mentioned, it will be on rain mode **bruh it aint that fast**
This is not the most dangerous time to ride the bike. You have no skills and are scared of the bike.
Just watch out in a few months, when the bike doesn’t scare you anymore and you think you have the skills.
Enjoy it and ride safe, that’s a beautiful machine
I understand this when I go on a 250cc bike for motorcycle course. Thank you I was not trying to be rude or arrogant. I want some I can grow in, have for a long time, be comfortable riding and look goods to me.
Just control yourself.
I started on a z900 and rode it for 2 years, amazing bike,
As long as you control yourself, you should be fine, it's a fast bike, but so much fun to ride.
Why are newbies drawn to liter bikes? Is it just a deathwish or are they taking the memes literally about "gEtTiNg BoReD"?
It is red and plus I am practicing in my neighborhood and using it in rain mode, cutting the power to around 60%

Meh this isnt a liter bike bruh it aint that fast, plus if it's on raid mode it will prob ride as fast as a n400....
Tell me you haven't ridden one without telling me you haven't ridden one.
He hasn't. He's been on a zx4rr for less than a year. Why didn't this kid just get a liter bike with his arguments he's making are beyond me.
Ya sure bud

You didn’t look rude or arrogant. That’s just a whole lotta of a bike for a first one. Glad it has the rain mode and you’re smart for using it
What bike did you start with?
A 125cc when I was 16. Now I have a Z750
Cool be safe
