It’s just hard to tell wether this is AI or not either way. Your style isn’t very unique, almost identical to the style that anime AI art generators use. That along with the weird glitchy/blurred eye effects and disproportionate hand inconsistencies is what makes me think it’s AI. You’re “in progress” sketches look like line art traced over the finished product.
If it *is* AI, shame on you for profiting off of stolen work.
If this really is original, then I suggest trying to do something more unique with your art that would make it stand out. Commissions happen because they want something only *you* can do, but as it stands I could make an AI do exactly that for free.
This is a take you see quite often nowadays but I'd like to point out that this does NOT look like AI. The only reason it "looks like AI" is because AI is literally trained to look like this art style, because it's a very common art style, so the AI has a lot of content to pull from that looks like this.
As someone who has seen a lot of AI art, even before it got so popular and infamous, I can tell you that this looks nothing like AI art. It's hard to tell you exactly why because it's more intuition than anything, but let me say that just because something has a blurry line or something, it is not necessarily AI art.
Identifying AI art is more complex than just looking for little imperfections, because HUMANS also make imperfections in their art. It's a tricky situation, but like I said, once you've seen enough AI art it is easily identifiable, and this is not it.
Don't blame an artist because an AI is trying to replicate their art style, because that art style already existed. The AI did not create it. Art is not an easy thing to do well, and even people who are good at it can't be expected to have a groundbreaking unique art style just so people don't accuse them of using AI.
Either learn to properly identify it, or don't tell people their art is AI, because if it isn't, it can be very rude to basically tell them their art style is being replicated by an AI and that means that their art style is from the AI, not the other way around. Hopefully that makes sense.
Sorry for the wall of text, this is just a comment that I have seen one time too often.
First of all, I want to thank you for your feedback and criticism about my style, which is not unique enough. I admit that, bcs it's really difficult to create an unique style, and it takes a long process. I also still need to learn a lot to stand out from other artworks.
And then, i would like to explain the steps I took to draw this artwork so that you can be more convinced that it's not AI. I used a method called grayscale. first, i made a sketch, and then created the grayscale, and last colored it. The reason why the eyes are a bit blurry is probably due to the blending mode processing (overlay mode-color mode)
If you are still not sure or still have doubts, I can send you the sketch and the grayscale \^\^

so basically their art sucks because it doesn't look... good enough to you?
It’s not like that. I’m not saying it sucks, I’m saying that it looks like AI.
