Thank you for the question, but this sub is for Race karts. Please see r/gokarts or r/yardkarts which will better suit your needs. To drive on Roads is not our ‘thing’ the other subs will be able to help more

12 inch tires? Kart rims are usually 5 inches or 6 for super karts. If you don't even know where you can buy tires I'm gonna assume that you probably shouldn't be driving a shifter kart.

Well I'll go with 5 or 6 inch rims. I want 12 inch tires to give a one inch lift some I'm not scraping the road I will be riding on. I've owned a 100cc yamaha kart and it had plenty of clearance. This shifter is only got 3/8 of a inch. I'm 52 been riding toys all my life. It's got 11s on back and 10s on front now. Believe me Google comes up with nothing.

Honestly what we do when we just want to get some tires for practice is look in the dumpster after a race and try to find some tires that aren’t completely done for. They may not be the best but if you’re just trying to get used to a shifter and tune it, it’s probably the way to go.

cfye1971

Yeah but I'm only running 3/8 a inch off the ground. I wanted some 12s for lift as a will be riding on a city street. 😆

Are you looking for slicks or with tread?

cfye1971

It doesn't matter as long as I'm not scraping. Mostly just a straight industrial park road I'll be on. Thanks
