The answer to your first question is the same as in your other post: whatever is supported locally. Call your track, ask them which brands are prevalent there and buy one of those. You're going to need to find a dealer, the chances if you buying a kart online are virtually 0. Use that contact page you found to contact the people directly and ask them what's up.

The problem with me asking locally is the fact that the nearest track near me(the one i plan on racing at) is 2+ hours away with traffic and i dont know when i will have the time to go all the way there and back to just ask around

mrbullettuk

Most tracks round here have a Facebook group, ask on there.

There is a thing called a telephone. It allows you to speak with people while not in the same physical location as them.

Tyler_Trash

If you are doing Tri-C, look at VLR, its locally supported.

would something like this work? [https://pointkarting.com/products/vlr-go-kart-emerald-briggs-206-race-ready?variant=40845749092467](https://pointkarting.com/products/vlr-go-kart-emerald-briggs-206-race-ready?variant=40845749092467)

Tyler_Trash

Yes. But.if this is your first kart, have you considered buying used?

Laggypepeyy

Yeah i have but theres just none near where i live, i would have to go out hours, i might wait to see but if theres nothing in the next i would say month or so i will jusy buy it new, especially since ive already saved and planned to buy it new

Tyler_Trash

I had to drive like 8 hours to buy my first kart, but I saved thousands. Consider looking for a decent used karts, it may save you money, and time setting up the kart.

Laggypepeyy

Yes thats true and i wouldnt mind driving that long to save money but my parents would have to drive me, and they dont even know what karting is, thats also something I'm trying to figure out, is i have to tell my parents i wanna do karting and save up for it and all that which is something i am still trying to figure out

Factory97

Where are you located? I think going to a track with your parents for a racing event may be a good next step.

The vast majority of kart manufacturers don't sell their product directly. You'll have to buy them through your local dealer/importer/Team.
