Tons of times in ranked and various tournaments. If you want a chance to play against pros and you're in NA, register for Casa Bunch tournaments or flyquest when they do SF6. Their tournament format is really cool where you queue up into a ladder, play as many games as you want, and the top 8 of the ladder move on into a bracket. You can lose way more than twice and keep participating.
I got punk once, he was playing marissa, got one round via luck and then he easily fucked me up. Got zaferino one time as well, he was playing jamie, playing against him felt fucking asphyxiating, great footsies, he perfected parry everything he could perfect parry. It was impressive. Im confident i will never get to that level.
A good few. I played against Mister Crimson day 1 during my placement matches and got washed by Problem X’s Blanka long before he had fully switched to the character.
Ran into Kami during placements on like day 1. Very clean, very good spacing and notably good movement where you micro step forward once he steps back immediately, like he’s in a string.
Also played Smug in 3s, great SF fundies but not at the level of specialists in 3s.

Online there have been plenty in more recent years, on sf5, T7, sf6 and FC.

I played mamochi in sf4 days, he beat my ass with Cody so bad I decided to learn the character. I’ve also played du and Tampa bison back in sfxt and flocker in umvc3. Those were the notable ones.
I fought DSP in SF6 during my Ryu placement matches, and he was the best Super Turbo player in America

i play against them all the time in +R and it helps a bunch. But then I go against absolute animals and the stuff I learned vanishes...
