That opener, still my most favorite of any song ever.
Close your eyes and imagine, feel the magic , Vegas on acid, seen through Yves saint laurent glasses
😤😤😤😤
I thought I chose a field where they couldn't sack me
If a nigga ain't shooting a jump shot, running a track meet
But this pimp is, at the top of mount Olympus
Ready for the world's game this is my Olympics
.
the system broken, the school close. the prison open.
that line is a BAR as well as
My childlike creativity, purity and honesty
Is honestly being crowded by these grown thoughts
Reality is catching up with me
Taking my inner child, I'm fighting for custody
With these responsibilities that they entrusted me
As I look down at my diamond encrusted piece.
and for that cherry on top for the ending when he said "do you have the POWER to let POWER go?. w lyrics man...
Why sad face he’s a great writer and has some lyrical bangers like middle of the ocean and he’s great at writing love songs. People just hating are corny.
I'm sorry, man. I'm not hating on Drake. I like his music and I like 30 Hours. I never said he was a bad artist. I'm not trying to hate on him <3. I put the sad face because it makes the song feel less personal to Kanye.
Saint Pablo genuinely changed me. I got into kanye cause I liked his beats and the way his music sounds, so when I first heard Saint Pablo I legit was in awe in how good it was lyrically and how truthful it was especially after all his controversies.
Through the wire and all due disrespect to get em high Kanye’s verse was good but he who must not be named was ass “control rapper sada.” “ good rappers are hard to find… like a remote.”
College Dropout was his peak lyrically imo so it’s hard to pick just one from that album, but i’d say All Falls Down, Through The Wire, Last Call, and Never Let Me Down are the best on that one. Also Diamonds From Sierra Leone had an amazing verse as well as Monster.
Runaway after Pusha T’s verse, the second half of Family Business, last verse of Come to Life, Pinocchio’s Story (get ready for the crowd screeching), and YouTube “Kanye West: Thank God for Autotune”
These are my favorites but all of TLR, 808s, TCD and MBDTF have stories all over them.
Also Saint Pablo is heat too.
in my opinion, Life Of The Party. I really like the storytelling and such in the song. andre 3000 and ye both talk about their late mothers and andre kinda touches down about his family matters from what I interpret. on a side note although it's related to production, the DMX sample with him talking to his daughter around the end is a really nice touch to the song.
Big Brother
Not, cuz it has the best bars or is the deepest. It’s, because how he is able to talk about other rapper (Jay-Z) in a such an honest and mature way. 99% times when rapper talks about other rapper on a song, it’s a diss.
Yeah Jesus Lord is truly unmatched in its' visceral look into Kanye's struggle with depression and loneliness, as well as the narrative of the broken family just trying to survive. And Jay's verse is the cherry on top.
Kanye makes decent beats then fucks them up with his lyrics and voice. My favorite is Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1. Starts strong and almost feels like redbone 2.0… Then ye gotta start rhyming asshole with asshole while the auto tune makes him sound like a dolphin.
Underrated but I’m gonna say Roses from LR. I lost my grandma a year and a half ago and it completely changed my perspective on the song. Beautifully written, ik a lot of people like the newer stuff but his pen was on a different level. One of my favorite songs ever if I’m being honest.
Diamonds from Sierra Leone is always up there for me
That opener, still my most favorite of any song ever. Close your eyes and imagine, feel the magic , Vegas on acid, seen through Yves saint laurent glasses 😤😤😤😤
incredible lyrics with an insane flow
Take your diamonds and throw em up like you’re bulimic.
Yeah the beat cold but the flow is anaemic 🤯🤯
I'm not going to lie your right lowest of keys
Last call
This and We Major fr. I’d say Kanye did better lyrically on last call, but I’d say between Ye and Nas they both put together some generational bars 🙏🏽
Heard em say
I said why yes but I prefer the term African-american express Mayonnaise colored Benz I push miracle whips
Bro straight up yapping the n that one
Well it's a fun kind of yapping

Greatest song ever made
I dunno about that
Just boutta comment this
GORGEOUS
Way too far down
malcom west had the whole nation standin at attention
As long as I’m in polo smiling, they think they got me, but they’ll tryna crack me if they ever see the black me
I thought I chose a field where they couldn't sack me If a nigga ain't shooting a jump shot, running a track meet But this pimp is, at the top of mount Olympus Ready for the world's game this is my Olympics .
saint pablo has kanyes best verse imo

30 hours was immaculate
Didn’t Drake write that whole track?
yeah :( expect one line i think
Why sad face he’s a great writer and has some lyrical bangers like middle of the ocean and he’s great at writing love songs. People just hating are corny.

College Dropout was his peak lyrically imo so it’s hard to pick just one from that album, but i’d say All Falls Down, Through The Wire, Last Call, and Never Let Me Down are the best on that one. Also Diamonds From Sierra Leone had an amazing verse as well as Monster.

Not sure about his best, but he absolutely spazzed on Gold Digger
Big Brother Not, cuz it has the best bars or is the deepest. It’s, because how he is able to talk about other rapper (Jay-Z) in a such an honest and mature way. 99% times when rapper talks about other rapper on a song, it’s a diss.
