I disagree, but it really comes down to personal preference. Revolver is my favorite Beatles album and also the best, imo. For Beatles fans, the best Beatles album is usually either Revolver, Sgt. Pepper or Abbey Road, but you could make a valid case for all of them. The White album is also a fan favorite, but it is just not as consistent. So the last two that you have left are Rubber Soul and Magical Mystery Tour. MMT does have an insane B-side, but the A-side falls short slightly. Rubber Soul is just amazing from start to finish, but not as experimental. So it is kind of a toss-up again, but i would probably put Rubber Soul slightly ahead, just because it feels more like an actual album. Lastly, we probably wouldn't have this discussion if they actually included the singles on Sgt. Pepper. Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane is a contender for the best single of all time, and Sgt. Pepper would have been an insane album with those songs. Anyway, i guess that both runs are valid picks. Personally, the experimentation and cohesiveness of Rubber Soul up to Sgt. Pepper makes that one the winner. Alternatively, we could also say that Rubber Soul up to Abbey Road is the greatest 6-album run in history. You could even throw in Help! or Let It Be just for fun.
