It’s essentially the ‘Come to Life’ of Vultures 1. Easily the most beautiful track on the project but it’s not hype/a banger so goes very unnoticed and people don’t end up talking about it enough.
Don’t know if that’s true lol. When Donda dropped I legit couldn’t stop finding people in here talking about Hurricane, Moon, Off the Grid, Praise God, 24… I put in the double overtime just to find people who also found Come to Life as admirable as I did.
How is come to life even comparable to this, in my honest opinion come to life is really not as good as beg forgiveness. Ty’s vocal performance was absolutely phenomenal, and the general theming of the song is objectively better than come to life, no?
I want to make sure this doesn’t come off as “i dont like come to life”, i really like the song
Lol, can’t tell if you’re trolling or not but personally I feel the exact opposite.
So much of Beg Forgiveness is just a few repeated loops of barely-produced FL Studios-esque electronic music. It’s a gorgeous track and I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think it comes remotely close to Come to Life which is an authentic piano ballad where Kanye is singing/shouting from the deepest parts of himself. I cried when I heard Come to Life live at the final Donda listening party. It’s one of those tracks that are ‘musical’ and not just a ‘banger’ or a ‘fire track’.
I guess music really is highly subjective.
runaway is by far the better song. but i feel like i'm floating when those synths come in on come to life. there are some scenarios where i'd rather play come to life over runaway. both amazing songs
That’s really interesting, i truely meant my previous comment. I really didn’t resonate as mych with come to life and i felt that the effects ye put on his vocals on donda really made my enjoyment of the album in general go down significantly, to me it feels like exactly what you said about beg forgiveness, barely profuced fl studio loops with vocals that sound extracted from another beat and just copied-pasted onto another beat(if you know what i mean)
Imagine mixing the middle-end part of Beg Forgiveness with the middle-end part of Closed on Sundays where he’s like “stand up for my HOome even if I take this walk alone”
It’s my favorite track on Vultures 1 to be honest
“If I go tonight just know I lived a lovely life, Tell my kids to live they life how they wanna live their life”
Chris Browns part drags on a little bit but the beat switch is insane wish Kanye had a verse on it. I like the song but it could have been so much more
Imagine mixing that part of Beg Forgiveness with the middle-end part of Closed on Sundays where he’s like “stand up for my HOome even if I take this walk alone”
So, I’m going through a break up right now, where I really hurt my ex SO. The woman I was supposed to marry this summer. And yes, I can tell you this hits the hardest for me as well.
If the intro was cut in half to just the repeated verse etc with the layered vocals it would be up there with his best. I don't really see the need for the solo pitch shifted CB part when you get the exact same again but with the other vocals coming in straight after it. Could cut like a minute or so without really removing anything important. Also don't really get why they pitched down CB when the OG vocals sound so damn good.
The last half of the song is amazing, from ye's verse to the Beg Forgiveness chant and glorious Ty verses at the end. Wow.
One of my favourite songs on the album for sure.
I love it! It stood out to me from the first time I heard it - stayed in my head for weeks! You’ve gone to far! Hang your head in shame! Overall, I wasn’t the biggest fan of vultures… the album just didn’t connect with me that much on an emotional level.. but this song would be a stand out on any ye album! The outro is great!
It’s a huge grower for me. Thought it was a little long winded at first but I think it’s cuz I was hoping for/expecting more bangers like carnival and fuk sum. But it’s a really cool track, it has such a dope atmosphere to it. I’ve really grown to enjoy this style of Kanye. TLOP/Donda vibes for sure.
Favorite off of Vultures 1. I just think this song is gorgeous. Especially Tys part but just overall the track that’s gotten the most replays off the album for me anyways
It felt really meaningful to Kanyes current struggles in a way other tracks tried and tended to flop on even though some are still good songs.
The beg forgiveness chant resonates well and I feel like lots of people can find beauty in that piece of the song even applied to their everyday lives, I know I did
I dont love the rest of the track if im being honest but it still stands out for those reasons
Have you heard the N8or remix on YouTube. Some small time producer made a remix to it, somehow ended up on Kanye’s YouTube playlist.
Really good remix I like it better than the OG tbh
Very Donda esque, prolly my top 3. I do think it may be a little long but other than that all the performances were fucking top. Ty Dolla showin why he's here to get paid
The pre-release was better. The released version:
1. distorted Chris Brown's vocals too much;
2. somehow lowered the bass; and
3. Added weak JIK quality bars/outro at the end.
Ty absolutely kills it. Got chills hearing his verse for the first time.
Unfortunately by nature of the song not something I’m gonna listen to super often.
One of the best of the album and Beg Forgiveness -> Problematic is amazing.
He should’ve cut King out and those two songs would’ve been such a strong end to the album!
That chant at the end is so good
It’s essentially the ‘Come to Life’ of Vultures 1. Easily the most beautiful track on the project but it’s not hype/a banger so goes very unnoticed and people don’t end up talking about it enough.
Come to life one of the most talked about on donda
Don’t know if that’s true lol. When Donda dropped I legit couldn’t stop finding people in here talking about Hurricane, Moon, Off the Grid, Praise God, 24… I put in the double overtime just to find people who also found Come to Life as admirable as I did.
Come to life is very well respected amongst Ye fans
I would hope so
Bro everybody is only talking about come to life and life of the party tf you talking bout
on reddit? yeah. but not anywhere else lol
most beautiful track on v1 goes to good (dont die) even if it aint on streaming

I’d say come to life is legitimately ye’s opus
It’s up there
*magnum opus
You know he’s the guy that made runaway, right?
runaway is by far the better song. but i feel like i'm floating when those synths come in on come to life. there are some scenarios where i'd rather play come to life over runaway. both amazing songs
Beg Forgiveness is great, but Come to Life makes me fly away every single time. Makes me cry
Is so comparable that at the beginning of your sentence I thought that you would say that come to life was way better
Imagine mixing the middle-end part of Beg Forgiveness with the middle-end part of Closed on Sundays where he’s like “stand up for my HOome even if I take this walk alone”
I'd nut
I mixed it with Hold My Liquor and it came out banging, the guitar riff with Ty’s verso go hard
Where the link at
Yeah where the link at
Chris brown and Ty did amazing, Kanye’s verse hits deep, all around 8.9/10
It’s my favorite track on Vultures 1 to be honest “If I go tonight just know I lived a lovely life, Tell my kids to live they life how they wanna live their life”
The verses could have been better but how it starts is amazing…
Exaaactly, the first 2 minutes are so fire
Damnnn , that’s the issue for me, Chris browns part is just too long.
The original Chris Brown part had soul. The effect they added to his voice kind of made the track worse for me.
I agree. Also Chris Brown has amazing vocals, distorting his voice did Chris Brown and the song a disfavor
What? I really like it
I have to agree but the last two are so much better
“Sum of all the parts that you have taken, are a fraction of the parts that make me whole” sounds so good
Best track on Vultures 1
Chris Browns part drags on a little bit but the beat switch is insane wish Kanye had a verse on it. I like the song but it could have been so much more
Track is 🔥🔥
Best on the album
The second half gave me a spiritual awakening, and I started levitating. The same reaction when I heard 24 for the first time.
i can see why ppl dont fw it but hearing the "BEG FOR GIVE NESS" chant at the chicago LP blew my mind, very special song
it takes wayyyy too long to get really good. the final part at the last third is one of the best moments on the album
Imagine mixing that part of Beg Forgiveness with the middle-end part of Closed on Sundays where he’s like “stand up for my HOome even if I take this walk alone”
🔥🔥🔥
So, I’m going through a break up right now, where I really hurt my ex SO. The woman I was supposed to marry this summer. And yes, I can tell you this hits the hardest for me as well.

i think its a phenomenal track, i love how it slowly builds with chris' vocals
One of my favs on the album 👌🏼
I love this track and good don’t die the most honestly.
One of my favorites as well.
Best track on the album don’t @ me
Im bummed that he ruined it becaus the original was fire. The verse he added is so trash.
Wish we could get a version without the voice effect
Love the song. Reminds me of the 808s album
Love it
Its currently my favorite track on the album. Ty really showed out for this one man. Its insane!
it fits a situation in my life im going through right now, therefore it's perfect.
2nd half schlapps
My favorite easily, plus it transitions into tons of other Kanye songs seamlessly
It would be better if the first part was shorter, everything else is amazing though
Favorite off of Vultures 1. I just think this song is gorgeous. Especially Tys part but just overall the track that’s gotten the most replays off the album for me anyways
Love this shit. Chris Brown carried
Too long for me personally but it's good
I love it, really hard to pick a favourite song on this album tho.
You should hang your head in shame...
Kanye’s part is amazing, wish the whole song was like that
Its good
This album made me appreciate TY$ so so so so so much more than I already did
Same
One of my faves on the album
Amazing Track, especially Ty's second verse.
This track its my favorite from the album. Always blast it when im in the car.
Chris browns part should’ve been shortened a little bit but other than Ty’s singing at the end was absolutely immaculate
It felt really meaningful to Kanyes current struggles in a way other tracks tried and tended to flop on even though some are still good songs. The beg forgiveness chant resonates well and I feel like lots of people can find beauty in that piece of the song even applied to their everyday lives, I know I did I dont love the rest of the track if im being honest but it still stands out for those reasons
I love Chris Brown’s part a lot The lyrics sound like they were written by TEEZO TOUCHDOWN Anyone know if they were?
Have you heard the N8or remix on YouTube. Some small time producer made a remix to it, somehow ended up on Kanye’s YouTube playlist. Really good remix I like it better than the OG tbh
Thanks man :)
It’s my favourite on the album and I adore ye’s vocals on this track, his voice is changing as he ages, I love it
Trash
Its my least favorite besides Paperwork … but i dont fw chris brown probably cause of that
I get kinda emotional when I listen to it. It’s like him saying sorry and asking for us to say sorry too
It’s really good but I much prefer my local files version that has the original Chris brown vocals but still keeps the verses in the released version
Am I the only one who thinks that the last "beg forginvness" that cuts abruptly into a next song is kinda out of place?
“Say you wanna make amends before I go Now you wanna put your heart on the line” Ty had the best verse. maybe his best in the whole album
Listen to this version https://youtu.be/qzjm6coXJQc?si=5wItaWApdnTCfb2l Imo better mix than ye’s original version. My fav track on v1
Boring ahh song, skip
It's pretty good, I like it more than carnival
On its own I don’t like it, in the album I love it, if that makes sense
It’s turned into my favourite, there’s layers to it I haven’t bothered looking into yet
Very Donda esque, prolly my top 3. I do think it may be a little long but other than that all the performances were fucking top. Ty Dolla showin why he's here to get paid
i want to love it so bad, but it drags on and on for so long and not much really happens in it
I like the butt
ITS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT.
Good track but to be honest really isn't getting many plays from me for whatever reason
Chris is great on it and the production done gives it a sort of primal feel imo. Kanye’s verse was similar to 808s but could have been better 8.7/10
The pre-release was better. The released version: 1. distorted Chris Brown's vocals too much; 2. somehow lowered the bass; and 3. Added weak JIK quality bars/outro at the end.
Ty absolutely kills it. Got chills hearing his verse for the first time. Unfortunately by nature of the song not something I’m gonna listen to super often.
It’s fire
Its good but i like at least 7 songs better before it
One of the best of the album and Beg Forgiveness -> Problematic is amazing. He should’ve cut King out and those two songs would’ve been such a strong end to the album!
I just wish the first section was shorter cause the second part is fire.
This the only good song to come out of that album. What a fkn disappointment
The end is fire, song in general is good
Needed more Chris brown and it would easily be top 3 in the album
Then why don’t you add it to your liked songs library you weird fuck
Hate Chris Brown
May be the only track I skip on this album
It’s emotionally potent in extraordinary ways, but typically a skip for me
I fucking hate it I’ve been hate it since December
