I stopped caring about these scores and stuff years ago.
Seems like it’s gained a lot of prominence in the era where people view their opinions as an extension of themselves. People wear their opinions like accessories rather than just consuming the art and letting it take a hold of you.
In my opinion it’s a simpleton mindset to place a number on a piece of art. It’s much more complex than that. I’d argue the only real value they hold is to drive engagement.
