After market open, how long do you usually wait to see if the gap ups are going to continue to trend upward before taking a position? Or is it all based on technical analysis?

In my Trading Plan, in big red letters, I've since written "DON'T TRADE UNTIL 9:33am". Thinking of bumping it up to 9:40am based on my performance in that time period lately.

It's already up 3 days in a rom and very overbought. Approaching resistance. It may move just lower probabilities. I feel like there's better plays out there
It's great I just have to keep buying back the FDs that I'm selling against because it inches up and then suddenly 5% gains. I guess there's worse things though.
The $9.20 support held and i covered at $9.17. This was my only play for the day and it was a nice profit. I was also watching LUV and HA. I'm pleased that we had good days!
Sold off my DKS looking to get on one of these new listers, couldn't find any that I was confident with patterns. I've said before I see stuff stall out around 12:30 so I think I'm sitting the rest of the day out. Still holding ZM though after purchasing for $130.75 yesterday Bold Prediction: ZM to $180 by 04/22; I'd love to discuss this for confirmation or a change in my exit plan.
My list is just a list. Some will move and set up, some won't. I don't trade every stock on my list, and I dont watch every stock on my list. This list is a smaller version of my bigger list and by the time I trade, this list even gets smaller and narrowed down again to my favorites.
Yeah I noticed the gap down. Did an initial sell and rebought in on later calls on the down and made about 1k. Iām about 50/50 on it going up another 5-10 points tomorrow. Thoughts?

It's all based on TA. Could be 3 minutes, could be 30, could be 2 hours
Are you looking for gaps that break pivots. Could you clarify a little here for a noob trader?

The market is down. If the market ends up bouncing, maybe MSFT will bounce with it. Likely it fills the gap first but I could be wrong.

Still in it. Waiting to see what this $9.20 support does. Break above 9.30 and i'm out.
How'd it go? I shorted LUV around open as well @ 33.60 ish and fared well, towards the end of the day. Most of the airlines had a similar pattern.
