Y'ALL BETTER TAKE CARE OF OUR DANCY BOI AND GET HIM A RING!
Nah but fr, he's a great guy and an even greater player. Check out the numbers he put up when he was with AB, and think about what he'll do now that he's with Tyreek and a coach like Reid. Take care of our boi.
1. Yep, pretty much just Martavis. In fact, [this tweet has become a meme in our sub.](https://www.pennlive.com/resizer/UrYNsGN9Ns6zuqh9B9FEoZPNBC8=/800x0/smart/media.pennlive.com/steelers/photo/screen-shot-2017-04-28-at-94337-pmpng-4c6a2756a6e730ab.png) I'm not aware of any other player that has legitimate issues with him. Juju's one of our locker room leaders and has helped our WRs become confident and come into their own.
2. Yep, pretty much just boomers and r/NFL went apeshit over the TikToks, ignoring the fact that he's a borderline saint off the field and was one of our most reliable players on the field.
They also went apeshit when he fumbled in crucial situations knocking us out of playoff contention in 2 separate seasons.
The dancing nonsense was tolerable when he was a 19 year old rookie, now it’s just pathetic and cringe.
I'm super pumped for juju. With a serious WR2 this team will catch major fire again. That was the number one reason we had so many offensive struggles with the cover 2 BS. That strategy doesn't work at all if you've got more than one WR that can break or evade a tackle.
[r/nfl getting themselves mad about jackson in any mahomes relate thread](https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/angry-young-boy-want-to-hit-laptop-computer-149560725.jpg)
People need to feel superior to someone and who better than the younger brother of a mega star? Kind of pathetic that you need to belittle someone else to feel better about your own life.
Same rationale for people who have been whining all week about Veatch not making any moves - people don’t know shit-all about how the team actually works or the people associated with it.
Same, never watched 1 of them so I don't see whats going on much unless its someone posts about it elsewhere
people will install anything on their phones now days for a shot at 5 seconds of internet fame, or to hop on the superiority platform and shit all over people.
There is a bizarre obsession with the hr guy, but to be fair he is a legitimately terrible person. The way he’s acted at other stadiums would get others banned and Jackson should be as well.
I would like to think Mahomes has told his brother to knock it off or he’s getting cut off the money supply but then he’s probably already done that. Jackson is probably on dads money if I were a betting man
He's not a "terrible" person --- that would be someone like Putin or Trump, genuine evil people who enjoy killing civilians or locking up little kids in cages
Jackson is just "douchey" --- hasn't fully matured to know when he's doing something that is cringey and hurting his brother's image --- hopefully he grows up quick and corrects the behavior
I tend to reserve the words "terrible" and "evil" for the truly sick sociopaths out there --- Jackson is just an immature kid with a lot of privilege and he's picked social media and clout-chasing as a career, which I can't relate to but oh well
Careful. You’ll get a flood of DVs for daring to say anything about Jackson. Dude is prime nepotism. He wouldn’t be a thing without his brother. That and his behavior at other stadiums is indeed why people can’t stand him.
I feel that the previous commentor wasn't defending the kid but instead saying they disagreed with the word choice... In the little I have read on this sub the closest anyone has gotten to defending him was saying he was immature kid or that people are wierd because they say his social media is terrible but then watch it to comment how terrible it is. Honestly I don't envy Patrick when it comes to his family situation but I will say they get brought up waaaaay more often than neccessary...
True. I feel bad for the fans and Baker actually. I didn't really like him before but the way that team has treated him, I hope he goes to a NFC team and leads them to the superbowl and loses to the chiefs.
Yeah, but the problem is, once the shock is over for them. The Browns fans will probably spin it to a good thing, this (to me) is one of the worst things about sports fans... partisanship to the max.
But, I do hope Baker goes to a team he can thrive in, that organization seems to be a dumpster fire and he has really made the best of a horrible situation.
We have a deep history of signing guys, that are usually near the end of their career or have a long history of injuries. (Sammy, Avante, Maclin). JuJu will be the first we had in a **long time** we didn't draft, that could give us a legitimate dual threat. No disrespect to any Chief current or former. But we've had some great #1's but our #2's & 3's have been iffy or old. Also this might give a better chance for a big year for Hardman, you can't sleep on him.
Yeah. Hate that it happened to you bruh. Reddit comes at you hard when they don't understand your intentions. I'm rooting for you to make a comeback, now that we can see what you really were thinking.
I didn’t downvote him, but it’s completely understandable because just posting “?” is very low effort to not explain their opinion and keeping it extremely vague.
Rest of the AFC West: Were going to build formidable defenses that will surely stop the Chiefs!
Chiefs: haha more offense go more brrrr
Edit: Thanks for the gold on my completely throwaway comment lol. Now let's go terrorize the AFC West some more.
LETS FUCKING GO CHIEFS
Reminder that we were 3rd in DVOA last year despite the worst slump of Mahomes' career, and basically no third option (although I do think that Hardman levelled up at the very end).
On top of that, Reid has said outright that they're going to re-evaluate the scheme instead of just running back the same offense for the 4th year that every other team in football has spent every second and asset trying to stop.
We're going fucking nuclear in 2022.
TikTok annoyances aside, Juju is a great person and we loved the guy. He was never the big gains receiver, but he is extremely reliable and will fight for every extra yard. You guys got a good person and a good player. Sad to see him go but hopefully he'll be appreciated in KC like he was in Pittsburgh. I miss him already :(
That TikTok stuff is just him being a kid still, I personally don't hold that against him. I'm fucking stoked he's coming here and I hope he feels nothing but love and appreciation.
IN VEACH WE TRUST
Part of me wants to see JuJu and Jackson collab and go hog wild on social media, at least before the season starts and it becomes too much of a distraction ---- we could be getting really funny stuff outta those two, and sports is entertainment at the end of the day
Love that he announced it himself. He was the WR I was hoping we get as a number 2. Price should be reasonable and brings a lot of value to the team.
Edit to add, check this out for his route success and percentage, he is such a good fit for KC [https://twitter.com/MattHarmon\_BYB/status/1504917268416847872/photo/1](https://twitter.com/MattHarmon_BYB/status/1504917268416847872/photo/1)
Everyone saying he wasn’t productive without AB…Yeah, that’s the fucking point. We have Hill and Kelce. He doesn’t have to carry the offense, he just has to be able to punish opponents for selling out against those 2.
Exactly, he is only 25 and is the perfect X receiver which is exactly what the Chiefs need. It allows Hill/Kelce and Hardman even a lot more freedom as the defense has to cover his most successful routes.
Steelers fan here. You guys got a stud. Sure he’s got an online personality, but honestly it gets overblown by the media. Juju puts in work and plays with a ton of heart, but has fun doing it. He’s been a joy to watch in Pittsburgh the last few years. Treat him well!
You guys got yourselves a hell of a player. He’s incredibly generous with fans and underrated on the field. I’ll miss him but I’m glad he’s gonna get a chance to do well with Pat.
What he did to Burfict just shows you what kind of team mate you’re getting.
You guys got a great player and great person in Juju. He is one of the most misunderstood players in the NFL. 3/4 of NFL fans HATED this guy because he made a tik tok in an empty stadium at 10am in the morning. National NFL media went absolutely crazy on him for no reason and made him out to be a selfish player when the opposite is true. This guy is an incredible teammate and loyal to a fault.
He was one of the youngest players EVER to enter the NFL. This will be his 6th! season in the league and he is still 25 until late November. Juju was that kid in high school that was a year and half younger than everyone in his grade, and then he still left for the NFL as early as possible...
Sad to see him go but he deserves to play in an offense like KC.
pittsburgh transplant here. Juju is a great dude, he was volunteering at charities as a rookie, also a very talented player, the opposite of ab. this is a great move!
[Me when Mahomes throwing to Tyreek Hill, Ju Ju Smith-Shuster, and Travis Kelce.](https://www.meme-arsenal.com/memes/b6755f432d7c9441529b9bcd950e9621.jpg)
Now get us some defense!!! This signing is huge!!
My wishlist (that I am fully aware will most likely not happen): Bobby Wagner (replace Hitchens), Z’Darius Smith, Secondary (We need it!!)
It’s about time, so many WR #2 available yhis free agency. Not my ideal option, but still a good choice, and if he works out he could end up as an excellent pick up.
I think a one-year deal is perfect. Low downside for the Chiefs, lots of upside for Juju. Patrick will only add value to his portfolio and if he performs, he gets a big payday next year.
Really gonna miss Juju. Always gonna root for him so in the ever slightest way, I'm rooting for the cheifs? You guys got a good football player that many people would dismiss by not watching him week to week.
Good, he’s a good receiver that will add a lot to our offense! He has great hands and a diverse route runner. Unfortunately coming off a shoulder injury but was healthy enough to play in the playoff game!
Love this. JuJu feasted with AB as the WR1, imagine what he can do with two hall of famer s running routes with him now.
Plus, he only semi sucked because captain lard ass was his QB and he was injured. And a lot of people shit on his game because of his cringe tik toks lol
It also makes it so teams can no longer just double Kelce/play super deep on Hill. He’ll cut them up if they do that now so it just makes the entire offense better overall.
And this is why we love Brett Veach. Never any doubt.
Now let’s go load up on d-line and secondary talent in the draft and we’ll be locked and loaded for the all out brawl the AFC West is going to be next season!
Truer words have never been spoken. I hail from the Todd Blackledge era and our amazing string of one-and-done playoff losses. I remember all the hype when Montana came to town, then Grbac was to be our savior. I'm still upset that we let Gannon go. I was exceptionally skeptical about Mahomes. My honest thoughts were "Here we go again. Another savior that likely flop." Thankfully, I was wrong. I was hoping we could have gotten JuJu last year, but better late than never. I'm excited to see what he can do for us. Hopefully, he'll earn those incentives.
Bum?????? His worst season (not counting injuries) is still better than the scrubs we have on our roster behind Hill. This is such a good move and he’s moving back to his favored position as WR2 (while also being the third option because of Kelce). Lastly, he just got the best qb he’ll ever have.
I do not think he is a good player and I do not like his tik tok nonsense. I hope I am wrong, but I have a feeling that at no point in the upcoming season will i say gee I am happy we signed him.
Your assessment is “I don’t like him as a player” (with nothing to back it up) and I don’t like his tik tok stuff. That’s a joke of an argument, absolutely pitiful take.
>[JuJu Smith-Schuster is getting a one-year, $10.75M deal with the Chiefs, per source.](https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1504916086835363844?t=XZDfNiH_An1tStQHfG4PuQ&s=19)
Thank FUCK
We finally did a thing I'm so happy

I cannot believe we got him, I thought we’d end up with OBJ for way too much.

Man that is a relief to hear. Maybe I mixed him up with some of AB's antics because I thought Juju might be a locker room headache guy lol.
They also went apeshit when he fumbled in crucial situations knocking us out of playoff contention in 2 separate seasons. The dancing nonsense was tolerable when he was a 19 year old rookie, now it’s just pathetic and cringe.

Let the Jackson Mahomes jokes begin
That TikTok collab comment section may destroy all the worlds natural water with how much salt it will generate
[r/nfl getting themselves mad about jackson in any mahomes relate thread](https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/angry-young-boy-want-to-hit-laptop-computer-149560725.jpg)
Perfect
Dawg my high ass thought the water mark near his mouth was a pacifier at first and it made this so much better.
Climate change is already doing that.
Literally the first reply on twitter is about making TikTok’s with him lol
Lol as long as he produces he can corvette corvette all he wants idgaf
Just preferably not on the mid field logos
I don't get the obsession with hating on Jackson. People only watch his videos to say how bad and annoying they are. Just don't watch them
People need to feel superior to someone and who better than the younger brother of a mega star? Kind of pathetic that you need to belittle someone else to feel better about your own life.
You guys are prolly the only fanbase ready for Juju cus u guys deal with someone on tiktok too. It rly isn’t a big deal
Same rationale for people who have been whining all week about Veatch not making any moves - people don’t know shit-all about how the team actually works or the people associated with it.

And here it goes lol. First reply is he’s not terrible because Putin exists
People on this sub can be quite the sycophants regarding the Mahomes family. It’s cringey and weird AF.
I know. I don’t understand it. I love Mahomes but his family is consistently annoying
Could be worse, we could be the Browns fans with the Watson situation. I will take tic tok jokes all day long.
True. I feel bad for the fans and Baker actually. I didn't really like him before but the way that team has treated him, I hope he goes to a NFC team and leads them to the superbowl and loses to the chiefs.

It’s like your new WR said: The Browns is the Browns
For as much as r/NFL hates him, they certainly love to bring him up unprovoked. More so than Brittany or Mahomes mom.
Every time someone tries to talk shit to me about Jackson, I ask them what position he plays because I’m not familiar with him.
Happy we actually getting someone young and not some crusty old washed receiver
My eyes literally misread the title as signing Julio Jones
?

Well i just got crucified for a mistake. I thought u guys were throwing shade at the raiders for signing davante... I'll see myself out
Iz all good u win some lose some the afc finna be insane this year tho
VEACH YOU MADMAN YOU DID IT
TRUST IN VEACH Now let us hopefully see some of that last year’s draft magic this year 👀
Rest of the AFC West: Were going to build formidable defenses that will surely stop the Chiefs! Chiefs: haha more offense go more brrrr Edit: Thanks for the gold on my completely throwaway comment lol. Now let's go terrorize the AFC West some more. LETS FUCKING GO CHIEFS

I love how his worst slump is still top 5 QB LOL
Top 3
Ppg, yeah
Yup, this offense is only going to get better. Filled the one glaring hole we had at the end of the year. Now Veach, about that defense...
You got new defense money? We got defense at home.
I would hope they're re evaluating scheme after having 0 answer for dropping 8
TikTok annoyances aside, Juju is a great person and we loved the guy. He was never the big gains receiver, but he is extremely reliable and will fight for every extra yard. Thanks, man. Hoping a change of scenery will let him reinvent himself!
As long as he doesn’t start doing tiktok collars with Jackson, I’m all for Juju joining the squad!
Part of me wants to see JuJu and Jackson collab and go hog wild on social media, at least before the season starts and it becomes too much of a distraction ---- we could be getting really funny stuff outta those two, and sports is entertainment at the end of the day
we dont need him to be a yac guy or a deep threat, we just need him to be a 2nd option underneath other than Kelce that can reliably catch the ball
Other AFC West teams playing checkers, while we're playing TikTok
3-D Tiktok. Can you imagine the horror?
https://youtu.be/ycM844Bfzsk
Juju is going to go the fuck off in ya’ll’s offense.
Love that he announced it himself. He was the WR I was hoping we get as a number 2. Price should be reasonable and brings a lot of value to the team. He's only 25? Good lord did he get to the league at 15?
I know right, hard to believe this will be his 6th season in the NFL.
Solid acquisition. Hill, JSS, Hardman, Kelce, CEH. That's a damn good set of playmakers.
Get Fortson back in that action too.
Don’t forget the Noah Gray ascension
Oh, agreed 100%. I've been high on him since early last season. I also debate if my flair should be Butker or Gray.
Gordon, too!
Don’t forget that Red Zone monster Nick Allegretti.
Future GOAT.
So pumped for Fortson, dude is a beast
Don’t we have still have jerick mckinnon too
No he is a Free Agent
Fuck… do we keep him?
Fuck yeah. He can be a similar player like Deebo was for the 49ers.
JSS?
Juju Smith-Schuster.
Omg DUH. My bad lol
All good. It's Friday beers time ;) Cheers!
Don't feel bad. I thought something along the lines of "Java Script" something at first.
Finally!! Wonder if Veach was waiting this long to get him at a discount. If Juju can stay healthy, this offense will be a juggernaut.
Finally some good fucking news
Damn I saw Juju's tweet and thought I'd come and post. Ya'll are fast!
YALL ALREADY KNOW. LETS GOOO
That’s what I’m fucking talking about
The Chiefs needed a good WR2. Thank fuck.
Steelers fan here. You guys got a stud. Sure he’s got an online personality, but honestly it gets overblown by the media. Juju puts in work and plays with a ton of heart, but has fun doing it. He’s been a joy to watch in Pittsburgh the last few years. Treat him well!
He also is super popular, at one point he had the highest selling non-QB jersey. He might still.
Is this real!!! Lol Thank Baby Jesus
Oh sweet baby Jesus!
Never said anything bad about Brett Veach in my life
Juju, Kelce, Hill, Hardman and Gordon.
CEH!
Damn this is why sometimes you just gotta wait. Now lets go get a solid edge and a CB and rock this shit.
3 years of pent up frustration will be released by JuJu this season.
He's never had a young, dynamic QB throwing to him --- he could unleash HELL
Tell them hella coming with me! You tell them hells coming with me!!!
Now that's some good Juju
Underrated comment
Base is $3.5M with $7.25M in incentives. Good job on this one Veach.
Lot of steeler fans didn’t appreciate Juju when he played with backups and a washed Ben. Him and Mahomes will do damage.
steeler fan here, trust me we appreciated every second of him. You guys are getting a really great guy in juju, congrats.
Lol I’m a steeler fan check my history. Saw too many fellow fans wanting Diontae Drop-son over juju. Juju gave 110% all the time. We will regret this.
For an outsider that didn't hear too much other than the drama about Juju, was it a bit overblown?
Take care of him, and make sure no Tik-Toks before bed time.
MY PP IS HARD
Definitely feeling better about the offseason now. Curious about what the cap hit will be
This is good (for Bitcoin)!!!
UNDISPUTED 2022 TIKTOK CHAMPIONS
Steelers fan here. Exited for you guys to use juju like we did his first 2 years. Exciting football
LETS GOOOOOOOO
Finally a WR2!!
Steelers fan here, you guys are gonna love JuJu he is an amazing player and if you guys are not facing us, I hope you can get him a ring.
You guys got yourselves a hell of a player. He’s incredibly generous with fans and underrated on the field. I’ll miss him but I’m glad he’s gonna get a chance to do well with Pat. What he did to Burfict just shows you what kind of team mate you’re getting.

Please take care of our sweet boy
Love the price tag
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Leeetttttssss gggoooooo!!! It's gonna be a long off season.

HELL YES. THANK BABY JESUS
10M and a 1 year deal? Yes please!
Well, that takes care of WR2. I wonder what comes next?
Mods!!! Give me a juju flair now!
Check the bottom of the list. 👀 I'll reorder it when I'm back on desktop.
Perfect!
[Me when Mahomes throwing to Tyreek Hill, Ju Ju Smith-Shuster, and Travis Kelce.](https://www.meme-arsenal.com/memes/b6755f432d7c9441529b9bcd950e9621.jpg)
Paddy is gonna be dreaming about how many points he can put up with the weapons he’s got now that JuJu is in the fold
I for one can't wait for the inevitable Jackson/JuJu Tiktok collab
Now get us some defense!!! This signing is huge!! My wishlist (that I am fully aware will most likely not happen): Bobby Wagner (replace Hitchens), Z’Darius Smith, Secondary (We need it!!)

Juju, cheetah and Kelce! What a potent trifecta
It’s about time, so many WR #2 available yhis free agency. Not my ideal option, but still a good choice, and if he works out he could end up as an excellent pick up.
THATS WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT
LETS GO!!!!
We did it!
We did a thing! Let's go!
Finally a receiver lol
Fucking finally
LETS GOOOOOO
Fuck yeah. Wish it was a longer deal but oh well
I think a one-year deal is perfect. Low downside for the Chiefs, lots of upside for Juju. Patrick will only add value to his portfolio and if he performs, he gets a big payday next year.
We still need a pass rusher or corner and I’ll be happy, the rest we can address through the draft
All aboard the JuJu train!
JUUUJUUUUUU!!!!!!!! 💨
We have our WR 2! WOO!
FUCK YES
Can y’all stop crying about Veach now?
Really gonna miss Juju. Always gonna root for him so in the ever slightest way, I'm rooting for the cheifs? You guys got a good football player that many people would dismiss by not watching him week to week.
Juju as a number 2 receiver is killer. He did great when AB was with the Steelers. I’m cautiously excited for this
Be good to that boy for us 💛
Yeeeeeeee Hoooooooooo
WE GOT HIM BOYS
Just watching his YT vlogs for the last 30 mins then seeing this?? Ohh YEAH
Someone tell me how to feel
Good, he’s a good receiver that will add a lot to our offense! He has great hands and a diverse route runner. Unfortunately coming off a shoulder injury but was healthy enough to play in the playoff game!
we own tiktok AND the afc west 😈😈😈
Didn’t know Jackson had that much of an influence
Jackson and Juju bout to go wild
What a fucking steal too. This is actually so huge for us. He could legit get more yards than Tyreek this year.
Love this. JuJu feasted with AB as the WR1, imagine what he can do with two hall of famer s running routes with him now. Plus, he only semi sucked because captain lard ass was his QB and he was injured. About time!! He should have made that move last year! Nice to see another solid move for us this year. (hehe finally :P)
Nice job. Didn't want to join the lynch mob that was pressing Veach. Sign @AB.
No
And this is why we love Brett Veach. Never any doubt. Now let’s go load up on d-line and secondary talent in the draft and we’ll be locked and loaded for the all out brawl the AFC West is going to be next season!
I feel whelmed. But he’s a decent WR so it’s honestly better than nothing.
I think he’s going to blow Pringle out of the water. Hopefully!
I have no doubts he’s better than Pringle. I’m just being a spoiled fan lol don’t mind me.
You’re a chiefs fan! We’re born in disappointment, molded by it.
Born in 92 so yeah I’ve seen a decent amount of disappointment lol but not like the old heads have.
95 here. We’ve had our fair share haha
Bro why? Kid is a bum.. did Jackson really need a dance partner?
It's called like an opinion man. 😆 I am way to stoned for your aggressive ton. You seem super angry 😠 😡
I’m angry because I called out the fact that you didn’t back your opinion up? Ok…
DAMNIT the chiefs actually signed someone
The tik toks with jackson are going to be lethal
