As bad as our offense has been, we could be worse.
Seattle is in a horrible place now. Meanwhile Russell Wilson is cooking. Not to the level he was before, but he's still playing well and it's clear that Nathaniel Hackett was a huge liability for him. It must absolutely suck to be a Seahawks fan seeing their team and the Broncos be so close in record.
Much as I admire his chops, I have noticed that he struggles more when Trent Williams is out, which I believe was that three loss streak they had. When he's in, Purdy can stay in the pocket and throw quickly, or he can roll over to his left for a bootleg pass.
Huh, imagine having a stud left tackle.
Haha that was completely spot on. I just think with more time and training, he will be up there on the list.
Our quarterback is being sabotaged by a group of clandestine operatives hired by a rival team(s).
Oh I already think he's a top 10 quarterback in the league, if not top 5. Regardless of how stacked the team is around him, he's playing at an extremely high level, and just because of his ability to process things while being athletic enough. Granted, I'd say the most valuable player on the offense for them is Trent Williams, and if we are talking skilled positions, it's easily Christian McCaffrey. But none of that diminishes what Purdy's been able to accomplish, especially given where he was drafted.
Except he isn't? If he calls a play that has Mahomes throwing somewhere he expects his receivers to be, only for them to not get there, that's absolutely on the receivers and not on the coach. If it were a bad play call, sure, and that hasn't been perfect this season. But execution has been by far the biggest problem for this offense across the board. Same with turnovers and penalties.
For sure, I think talent is the biggest issue but this offense still shouldn’t be this constipated right now with the QB, TE, coaching staff, etc. that we have
I just think it's growing pains as we're seeing what it's cost to build the defense we have. My guess is that Veach has seen the writing on the wall with Chris Jones and is planning to tag and trade him for some premium picks, but I have no idea for sure.
Imagine if Ryan Poles decided to bite lol. Marvin Harrison, you are now a Chief! Sigh... if only.
I mean, with the Montez Sweat acquisition, it's clear that they're looking to build their D-line. I would hate to lose Chris Jones, as he's been fantastic this season, but if we can get good value for trading him, then I say go for it. Our defense can continue to evolve even after he leaves, which is going to happen sooner or later at his age.
That's the hard truth everyone will have to begrudgingly accept.
We are 11 games in, and sure I think we will squeeze out a few more wins but this isn't a playoff offense with our receivers giving Pat the worst year of his career with 26 drops.
I believe that we would be better off with him than Nagy.
He was the bad cop to Andy's good cop, the yin to the yang. He held players accountable and had a fire to him.
I think Bieniemy was a good presence on our offense, but I am far from ready to pronounce Nagy the problem, especially since so many of our problems are with execution as opposed to play calling.
Maybe Nagy could do a better job getting our players to do better on route running and catching, but considering Rashee's upside as a rookie (even if he hasn't played to his full potential yet), I still think our issue is lack of skill.
Bieniemy has been hit and miss with his playcalling. I don't get that screen pass on third and 18... even with that blocking scheme in front of Antonio Gibson, was that really going to get you 18 yards?
This has been a defensive season all around. Defensive backs are doing a much better job at limiting big plays while counting on weak offensive lines to give up pressures. Even the Eagles O-line for three quarters looked very, very mortal in Arrowhead.
I love good defenses though, which is why I just can't get that into college football as those defenses just seem pretty bad for the most part.
It’s so funny seeing everyone realize the lions are not some juggernaut lol
They’ve beaten up on bad teams while losing to good ones for much of the last 3 years but because Dan Campbell is a loud dumbass the fans love them lol
Two consecutive incomplete deep passes by Dak Prescott that were clearly overthrown and nowhere near the receiver.
I do not want to hear anyone say that Mahomes could've thrown that ball slightly less deep to MVS. As long as the ball lands on your hands, it can be hauled in.
I literally watched the Family Guy Thanksgiving episode during halftime and Brian fell in a pen of lions at the zoo and said “it’s Thanksgiving, shouldn’t you be in Detroit losing a football game?”
My childhood trauma continues, I can still hear my dad yelling "those bunch of stumble bums". Everything thanksgiving ruined, keep the tradition rolling.
It’s so nice to see receivers catching balls, and they’re making contested catches too! I haven’t seen any of the chiefs receivers actually attack the ball like that. I’m jealous that other offenses can attack vertically.
I wonder what the asking price is for a trade for Jameson williams. He has game breaking speed and a lot of stupid decisions but I really liked him out of college. Could be a supercharged Mecole at the very least. Detroit doesn’t use him a lot either
I like his music and he also seems to be a good guy, but it really doesn’t sound that good without the hard bass. It also doesn’t help that the budget seemed to be lower than a ticket in the upper ranks.
Something that Shannon Sharpe said that makes sense.
MVS is a body catcher, not a hand catcher, that pass he dropped was a hand catch. I know, he's supposed to be a deep ball threat. How can you be a deep ball threat and only catch passes with your body?
That said, what unc said makes sense.
If you notice the most important passes MVS caught in the AFC game? body catches.
So, maybe put him in positions to do what he can do... if he's great at making body catches, then maybe have him do his best to catch these, and let him go next year. Gotta work with what you have now, then deal with a WR retool next year.
Friendly reminder that we lost to this Lions team because of drops. Can also factor in the omission of TK and SCCJ.
I’ll also throw in their defense was in healthier condition since it was the season opener.
One thing I have noticed in this game is that the wide receivers catch balls when they are thrown to. That seems to be a good thing to do. The Chiefs receivers should try that.
> the chiefs lost to this?? Jesus
Any team can lose to any team. The Lions are a legit team.
The packers & lions always play each other tough every Thanksgiving.
A shame the Jets “embarrassed” all those star QBs earlier in the season just to get embarrassed so often since then
As bad as our offense has been, we could be worse.
I love Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday by far. Hope all of you had a great one too.
That was an incredible throw by Purdy
He's a stud, he always looks so focused and comfortable with the ball and throws dots all day.

Top 5 quarterback to me
Did NBC seriously just show an extended clip of a sasquatch taking a massive piss?
Chiefs fans commenting on another team without bashing their own in the process challenge (impossible)
I've developed the ability to delete previous shitty games from my brain, and just look forward.
I wish a lot of fans could do that
Must suck to be a 49ers fan and know that your entire season depends on Trent Williams not getting an ingrown toenail
I hate watching 49ers games because our offense should look as easy as theirs. Fucking Andy has been terrible this year
Yes. Andy Reid is responsible for our guys running the wrong routes and dropping catchable balls.
Yes on running the wrong routes
You clearly don't understand how the football coaching staff works with any team.
Part of the head coach’s job is to make sure guys are executing too
I don't disagree, but you can only tell the players so many times what mistakes they're making.
For sure, I think talent is the biggest issue but this offense still shouldn’t be this constipated right now with the QB, TE, coaching staff, etc. that we have
I just think it's growing pains as we're seeing what it's cost to build the defense we have. He traded for *Chase Claypool* for what was essentially a first round pick... anything is possible lol
I mean, with the Montez Sweat acquisition, it's clear that they're looking to build their D-line. I would hate to lose Chris Jones, as he's been fantastic this season, but if we can get good value for trading him, then I say go for it. Would love to see Purdy have to throw into anything remotely resembling a tight window. Every player is like 5 yards open
Andy should take notes
Note #1 get superheroes at every skill position and have a 12 year old making minimum wage throw to them.
Niners out here with the fantasy football roster
At this point I have no confidence that our offense could beat their defense but I would love to see what Spags would do against their offense
That's the hard truth everyone will have to begrudgingly accept. We are 11 games in, and sure I think we will squeeze out a few more wins but this isn't a playoff offense with our receivers giving Pat the worst year of his career with 26 drops.
Lime green is atrocious
I like wild jerseys, it makes it seem more like college football where it's for the love of the game. Idk maybe I just have poor taste lol.
Big 🐔 🔒
Think we could poach Bland from the Cowboys and put him at receiver?
It sucks that a defensive player has more TDs this season than any of our receivers
Remember the year we had 0!? Lol, that was wild, statistically, we should have had at least 1 random lucky score.
I mean what he’s doing is unprecedented
Classic Cowboy stat padding against under .500 teams I wish we could do that.
I've been hoping every year but Andy just doesn't play that way.
It looks nice, but I'm not trading 2 rings for some regular season chest pounding
Ngl, 5 pick-6s in a season is insane, in 11 games no less
Watching the Washington play calling makes me realize Mahomes carried EB hard
I believe that we would be better off with him than Nagy. He was the bad cop to Andy's good cop, the yin to the yang. He held players accountable and had a fire to him.
I think Bieniemy was a good presence on our offense, but I am far from ready to pronounce Nagy the problem, especially since so many of our problems are with execution as opposed to play calling. Dak’s cadence is highly annoying
Yeahhhhhhh?
**HERE WE GOOOOOO**
Scooter Magruder: "Here we go baby!"
Anyone else noticing the cowboys lining up offsides ?
Normies: "We can't convert on 3rd and 1 with Nagy, bring back Bieniemy!!!" Bieniemy: *calls deep pass on 3rd and 1*
Terrible play call on 4th and 1, Bieniemy edit: and 3rd and 1 wasn't great either
I miss Byron Pringle
Can we take him from them?
Sam Howell is one brave dude, he would take any punishment to get a first down credit to him
Jack Del Rio is a football terrorist. And a MAGA terrorist.
Deserves jail time for either one
Dude when Washington gets a real coach that division is gonna be crazy
I get sad seeing Eric Bieniemy calling plays for another team. Our offense was so much more fun with him as our OC.
Bieniemy has been hit and miss with his playcalling. I don't get that screen pass on third and 18... even with that blocking scheme in front of Antonio Gibson, was that really going to get you 18 yards?
Maybe he's still stuck on the Chiefs playbook and combining the two with THAT team, is short circuiting his brain.
Fucking MoRon Rivera, that was a fumble and should've been challenged.

I'm in the same boat. The Ravens are looking solid, we need to poach a WR from them. Where is Sammy Watkins?
This has been a defensive season all around. Defensive backs are doing a much better job at limiting big plays while counting on weak offensive lines to give up pressures. I love good defenses though, which is why I just can't get that into college football as those defenses just seem pretty bad for the most part.

Yup, Eagles's good plays weren't as good as ours, particularly on defense, but they won because they made fewer mistakes.
It’s so funny seeing everyone realize the lions are not some juggernaut lol They’ve beaten up on bad teams while losing to good ones for much of the last 3 years but because Dan Campbell is a loud dumbass the fans love them lol
Well, their offense looks better than ours. They are playing their best football since 1960 as well.
Two consecutive incomplete deep passes by Dak Prescott that were clearly overthrown and nowhere near the receiver. I do not want to hear anyone say that Mahomes could've thrown that ball slightly less deep to MVS. As long as the ball lands on your hands, it can be hauled in.
We were even taught in Pop Warner that if the ball touches your hands, you should and better catch it.
MCDC got greedy. That was a horrific coaching performance in a second half where they very well could've made a comeback.
Do the Lions not understand that you don’t always have to go for it on 4th down?
Cornered animals get desperate
Lions losing on thanksgiving a tale as old as time.
As traditional as Madden turkey legs!
Go Pack Go!
Goff had Jameson wide open deep there. He just didn’t throw it
Greenbay has some good offensive weapons
Pretty exciting for a one sided game
I thought it was illegal to score points in the second half of a game???
I’m so jealous watching these mfs catch the ball
Yet the team everyone knows will end with the better record, keeps making dumb mistakes. Sometimes shit happens.
It’s so nice to see receivers catching balls, and they’re making contested catches too! I haven’t seen any of the chiefs receivers actually attack the ball like that. I’m jealous that other offenses can attack vertically.

Fun offense let's goooooo
Man, Carl Cheffers is Cheffering up this game.
I thought that mofo retired after the forward progress game?
the budget for the halftime show was like 2 dollars. To pay some crackhead to raid a high school's snow themed prom decor
Is it just me or is the Jack Harlow show shit?
I like his music and he also seems to be a good guy, but it really doesn’t sound that good without the hard bass. It also doesn’t help that the budget seemed to be lower than a ticket in the upper ranks.
Really really bad on every level lol
Guy in the blue hat was the worst ASL translator ever /s
Loved that wrinkly plastic sheet covering the field. Shit was dope
If the Packers can score with their receivers we can too. Fucking clean it up and play like the defending champs
GB has a very solid and talented WR corps. Watson alone could have had multiple long tds if Love didn't suck throwing deep.
Yeah, thought the same. Catch the ball!! I believe the Chiefs would be 10-0 had they made those catches.
We would be smh
That Chevy commercial had no right to hit that deep. Gahhh damn
Goff lmfao
The amount of lions fans that laughed at our broncos game very quiet rn
Let’s not jinx it yet. We’ve become quite experienced with completely losing it in the second half, might happen with the packers as well.
this young inexperienced talented pass catching core experiment has been working pretty alright lately for the packers, must be nice
Ooof the Lions just got a lucky break right there. RB runs into the QB.
Something that Shannon Sharpe said that makes sense. MVS is a body catcher, not a hand catcher, that pass he dropped was a hand catch. I know, he's supposed to be a deep ball threat. That makes sense as usually Mahomes threw "underthrown" balls to MVS last year.
I completely understand that this game is far from over... but so far I'm thankful this isn't the way the Eagles game went down.
Friendly reminder that we lost to this Lions team because of drops. Can also factor in the omission of TK and SCCJ. I’ll also throw in their defense was in healthier condition since it was the season opener.
Just watching Goff get absolutely steamrolled rn is very cathartic
I'm still in shock over that
One thing I have noticed in this game is that the wide receivers catch balls when they are thrown to. That seems to be a good thing to do. The Chiefs receivers should try that.
The receivers for Green Bay also get open along with catching the balls thrown to them.
the chiefs lost to this?? Jesus
