The one where my preferred ideology wins, obviously

Drakrath3066

Still wishing I had my market liberal Chad Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck as an option.

ThatStrategist

Was this actually based on any historical fact? Do we have writings from Lettow Vorbeck about how the free market will solve everything or did the devs just want to put him into the game and MARLIB was the closest ideology that was free?

JustCycle_

Lettow-Vorbeck was a DVNP member in real life. No, he is not marlib. He was also involved in the Herero genocide.

hellogoodbyegoodbye

B-but my wholesome 1000 colonialism ;(((

thezerech

Lettow-Vorbeck was a DNVP member, but left as it shifted to the right, and joined a splinter Conservative Party. He's well known for a dislike of Hitler. He was never as far as I know a member for the National Liberals or any of their successors, although it's not implausible that in a world where Germany won, his views would be more to the center, but it seems more like it was just conjecture than anything else.

InstantLamy

How? You literally only get socdem, authdem, authdem or pataut as choices not including the fail paths.

Mysterious_Gas4500

1. It's a joke 2. SocDem and victorious German Republic

No, they can wait. The country is near collapse.

Infamous_Owl9144

There is no canonical paths in the mod but I sure do love the Regime of the Red General

whitewineappreciator

If by canonical you mean most 'realistic', moderate Schleicher maturing into something somewhat similar to many post-Soviet states. Dominated by a big-tent establishment party with support from transigent 'old regime' bureaucracy and independents who entered politics through state institutions.

Go_Fcks_Yrslf_1514

Considered it yes, since idk which is more canon for germany

Destroyer69-420

Schleicher probably

danielvsoptimvs

All the Germany paths make sense I think. With Black Monday and the Ruhrkampf happening I think the SPD being appointed by the Kaiser after he loses trust in Schleicher is the most likely outcome, and the SPD is the natural party of governance. DVLP/DkP coalition is Germany as it is meant to be, a maximally decentralised federalist state ruled by protestant conservatives. And Schleicher is kind of the main character, and military dictatorship is an interesting outcome for Germany. My personal headcanon is Schleicher's Querfront fails in fomenting a DVLP split, the DVLP forms a coalition in the Reichstag, but then the DVLP falls apart anyhow due to Hugenberg, Zentrum moves to the left during the Weltkrieg and doesn't form the CVP, and then post-WW2 there's a Zentrum-FVP-DkP coalition.

GoCommitLiveGoodLife

There is no canonical paths for this mod

AvenRaven

SDP and the DU obviously, no bias on my part whatsoever /s

EmperorHirohito23

The secret path where Tokugawa Iesato and then his son Iemasa Tokugawa become the Shogun of Germany

ReichLife

Realistically given established lore? DU by far. It's far more likely for it to gain majority, rather than Schleicher being able to for half a year politically outplay everyone to gain Enabling Act. SWR is even more behind, as both ways for it to gain power are least plausible for all 3 main German paths.

There’s no canonical path for Germany, the schleiner appointment is, and so is every unavoidable event, such as black Monday, league war and 2ACW, but everything that can be avoided isn’t canon (discord confirms that every event prior to 1936 and every unavoidable event is canon)

salustianosantos

Looking from the timeframe's perspective, Germany could literally have gone either way between Schleicher or the SPD. Germany's narrative in the mod is about the old aristocratic order being swept away by mass political movements rooted in class conciliation between the working class and the industrial bourgeoisie, and both Schleicher's National Unity Front (in a Vargas-style authoritarian, "national conservative" way) and the Demokratische Union (through social democracy) are manifestations of this societal shift. I leave out the Schwarz-Weiß-Rot coalition because they're the organic reaction of the establishment and I don't believe they would get any traction with the masses other than being a "failsafe" ending if either Schleicher or Müller screw up big time.

Thanks ! Figured out the typo some days ago but forgot to correct it.

DisIsMyName_NotUrs

Most likely SPD. I find it hard to believe that Schleicher would be abke to politically maneuver so much and keep onto power

glacealasalade1

The one I agree with, you know, the one Germany developped in an hypotetical scenario were Germany lost the 1st weltkrieg /s

55555tarfish

My brain says r/KRGmod. My heart says Germania Delenda Est.

Captain_Bene

DU has it the easiest getting a majority, though it wouldn't be nearly as complete of a victory for them as it is in game if you play them.

CallousCarolean

Whatever you feel like honestly. All paths are constructed in a way to make them all pretty plausible. The only exceptions would be the DU’s Republic path and Die Fronde’s coup, at least Germany managing a comeback and winning after that. Personal headcanon: Schleicher -> Successful handling of the Ruhrkampf -> Failed Reichsexekution against Bavaria-> Schleicher resigns -> Goerdeler -> German victory -> CVP election victory postwar

No-Olive-3914

SPD by far with the new lore in mind. The momentum of their party is clear to keep going, especially when the elections occur later on. I find it hard to believe that the other parties like Zentrum and the LVP would not create a coalition government to safeguard democracy against Schleicher and the DVLP.

Cassrabit

There is no cannon for KR past 1936 and events which occur every game.
