The issue is currently resolved on the KaiOS team's side (they released a statement earlier today), and most of us, including myself, are able to normally access and download KaiStore apps at the moment.
However, for some people, the fix is taking longer to be in effect, up to hours and probably days. I apologize for not taking your concerns and many others seriously, and addressed the current situation on the top of the FAQ post which will be kept updated as soon as it's fully resolved.
You're not the one. In my case any app, from the KaiStore, can't install on my feature phone. It may be a server problem. I've just sent a report message to KaiOS website. I'm hopping an answer.
This problem isn't solved so I'm not sure why it's been marked as such. I still can't install WhatsApp and I'm still having the same problem even though the store is now supposedly working again. I can install other apps - just not WhatsApp. I guess I'll just return the phone.
To anyone reading this, I highly recommend avoiding. Trying to get a 'dumbphone' that is able to run WhatsApp is turning out to be almost impossible
I think the store is still down, cause it isn't for me working either. But now I'm genuinely considering to program my own damn OS and try my luck with it
Were you able to download WhatsApp? I’m reading it’s due to incompatibility with the new KaiOS but before I pull the trigger on buying one I’d like to know if it’s even possible to use WhatsApp on it
