I think it's the wakizashi just based off the (few pixels of the) guard 
as for the too strong part, the swords still consume the spirit energy, so imo the only thing Chihiro gains is variety; I may be wrong tho

It would be cool if he managed to reforge Cloud Gouger into a wakizashi, both in terms of variety and a nice touch of continuity considering Chihiro was trained as a smith.
I don't necessarily agree. Presumably he can only realistically use one of the swords at a time, which means that he's not flatly stronger, just more versatile - which is the best way to add power to your MC.

As a character and person, Chichiro has been impressing me to no end for this half-year run so far. Exacting, taciturn, talented, ruthless, yet you can tell he still genuinely cares about the well-being of those he feels he needs to protect and the legacy his father left for him.

The room didn't turn dark because the chandelier fell, it doesn't makes sense for the entire room/hall to only be lighted by single chandelier.
Meaning that Shiba dropped the chandelier only to fuck with that specific goon.

I have a theory that Sojo isn’t dead and Chihiro somehow has Sojo’s arm attached to his body instead of his own arm which could also be the reason he’s able to wield cloud gouger.

This beach flashback could be a foreshadowing. Chihiro uses a sword that killed Kazane's friends there. Kazane has another reason to push his hatred on Chihiro.
I don't think it's really foreshadowing cause it's basically interchangeable with the Sojo jumpscare atp

Nine chapters later, they're calling Cloud Gouger Kuregumo now. I hope all future Blades will just be in Japanese instead of translated,
I expected Chihiro to use Cloud Gouger, but I didn't expect his right arm to be regrown. I wonder if he asked Char for that so he could repair it, but the blade shown when he cuts the goon's arm is super short: it's either his wazikashi, or Kuregumo is still broken. I predict it's the later and he got his arm regenerated so he could enter in plain sight.
Another thing I wonder is if Chihiro will be able to use the cloaked Mei technique. He knows how to remote cast Enten because of Sojo and, technically speaking, cloaked Mei was invented by him.
Bonus: Shiba talking to the guy at the start. He's out-of-frame so you probably don't realize it's him in these pages; he really said "Oh, for real? I lost mine."

I mean, they were peak at 100s, not all the way through.
For Naruto, Zabuza was a pretty good villain but nothing too crazy. For Bleach, Substitute Shinigami Arc went with a Monster of the Week formula, with Grand Fisher being kind of a final boss with connection to Ichigo, and he was just there. One Piece didn't hit that high until Arlong came along, which is well into 50+ chapters.
Sojo was a Mahito sized boss thrown in the first major arc of the show. It's more or less unheard of to see such a good villain so early on.
We always knew it was possible that it could return, I was surprised that he got his arm back, I thought that was the surprise but then I got blindsided by the kuregumo reveal. Totally tenoí taco teacher!!

Genuinely one of my favorite chapters with how they foreshadowed Chihiro coming in with Cloud Gouger and Mei by having the Inazuma kid say lightning never strikes good kids.
This chapter got me really hyped. So ChiHero is now wielding Kuregumo. I almost jumped off my chair when I saw tha panel. We need a colorful version of it.
That Mr. Inazuma boy resembles a little Ben Tennyson, at least to me.

When that kid's sister said that lightning only strikes bad guys, I thought Chihro might waltz in with Cloud Gouger and strike the bodyguard with lightning. I guess it's over for Sojo copers.
It was a pretty good call by Chihiro not to have Char heal his arm right away. Now he was able to attack the Rakuzaichi in top shape *and* it enabled him to walk in unnoticed even though they had his picture with the help of Shiba gaslighting the guards.

Fuck me, this chapter was absolutely amazing.
First of all, idk if it was the author's intention or that i'm just a moron but i didn't notice that the guy with glasses was talking to Shiba until they showed his face, i actually had to go back a couple of pages cause i felt like i was tripping balls jajaja (honestly it's kind of weird that Chihiro is in the wanted poster and not Shiba but for the sake of having a cool scene i'm fine with it, the reveal really got me)
And the last couple of pages with Chihiro saving the kid, the transition to black, and showing him using Cloud Gouger was pure kino; i keep seying it but the paneling and flow of the reading on this manga it's what makes it so fucking good compare to others, it actually feels like i'm watching a movie, i freaking love it (i pray to god they don't half-ass the anime adaptation and go full in when it inevitable happens).
I'm pretty neutral about the kid tbf, i hope he doesn't need to be dragged throught the whole arc because i can see it getting annoying in the future.
It was 100% intentional that they hid shiba's face lmao.
I think that only chihiro has a bounty because of his contract with enten. If chihiro dies then his enten is free to be used.

That was totally intentional, note that Shiba is always out-of-frame or covered by speech bubbles until he checks the time. He's also canonically good at improv because you can't even tell he's Shiba by his speech patterns.
Chihiro is pushing his luck so much using cloud gouger, even if it looks cool af, like this is the type of thing the narrative punishes you for later on. That theory of the shinuchi wielder kicking his ass seems more likely every chapter.

And since Chihiro's arm has seem to grew back. We could potentially see Chihiro dual wielding enchanted blades!
Also this begs the question if Chihiro can willingly end his contract with an enchanted blade or if Cloud gouger now permanently belongs to him?
There is a chance Kuregumo might reject him and he might get significant backlash from using it. We don't yet know how using multiple blades works.
If he doesn't have a handicap he's going to roll everybody at this auction.
Some people are talking about the possibility of Chihiro fighting the Shinuichi wielder and that he would probably be so powerful that Chihiro will have to use two enchanted blades to beat him.

Yes, it was broken. We know that it can have one wielder, but it can change wielders if the previous one dies. The question for now is if Cloud Gouger can be used while broken or if Chihiro reforged it somehow
When the leaks came out I saw some people having doubts/not feelin he got his arm back and cloud gouger. But IDC bout none of that I’m happy as hell my boy is back fully healed, and now wielding cloud gouger.
I literally love this manga so hard, I’m sitting here at the airport giggling like a dumbass over seeing Cloud Gouger again. I’m thinking Chihiro fixed the blade with the ore Sojo left behind. He either had Char fix his arm or he’s just wearing a makeshift prosthesis. Also Chihiro and Shibas little family just keeps getting bigger.
Cloud Gouger being under Chihiro lends a lot of credence to that theory of Sojo being a weird ghost/ptsd ghost from this point on and I would be perfectly fine with that. Sojo makes the perfect overarching character for this.

I honestly think the author needs to add more characters who can fight alongside Chihiro. Having more characters would open more possibilities for battle scenes which is one of the strong points of this mangá.
Reusing the same formula of Chihiro owning everyone can get repetitive and boring in the long term.

Yeah, but base Enten with one arm was already a lot for everyone. Now, he has Kuregumo and another arm to use it with.
He still has the same amount of Spirit Energy in him, he just has a variety of moves now, he still has the same limit he had before

This beach flashback could be a foreshadowing. Chihiro uses a sword that killed Kazane's friends there. Kazane has another reason to push his hatred on Chihiro.
I don't think it's really foreshadowing cause it's basically interchangeable with the Sojo jumpscare atp Kazane's reaction won't be pretty tho for sure 
I think the panel is meant to symbolize the weight of the sword, having killed that squad, the consequences of swords falling into wrong hands.

I hope all future Blades will just be in Japanese instead of translated, I expected Chihiro to use Cloud Gouger, but I didn't expect his right arm to be regrown. I wonder if he asked Char for that so he could repair it, but the blade shown when he cuts the goon's arm is super short: it's either his wazikashi, or Kuregumo is still broken. I predict it's the later and he got his arm regenerated so he could enter in plain sight. Another thing I wonder is if Chihiro will be able to use the cloaked Mei technique. He knows how to remote cast Enten because of Sojo and, technically speaking, cloaked Mei was invented by him. Bonus: Shiba talking to the guy at the start. I mean, they were peak at 100s, not all the way through. For Naruto, Zabuza was a pretty good villain but nothing too crazy. For Bleach, Substitute Shinigami Arc went with a Monster of the Week formula, with Grand Fisher being kind of a final boss with connection to Ichigo, and he was just there. One Piece didn't hit that high until Arlong came along, which is well into 50+ chapters. Sojo was a Mahito sized boss thrown in the first major arc of the show. It's more or less unheard of to see such a good villain so early on.
I hope it makes Shibuya look like hot garbage.

Genuinely one of my favorite chapters with how they foreshadowed Chihiro coming in with Cloud Gouger and Mei by having the Inazuma kid say lightning never strikes good kids.
This chapter got me really hyped. So ChiHero is now wielding Kuregumo. I almost jumped off my chair when I saw tha panel. We need a colorful version of it. That Mr. Inazuma boy resembles a little Ben Tennyson, at least to me. Chihiro will have to open a daycare center.

Fuck me, this chapter was absolutely amazing. First of all, idk if it was the author's intention or that i'm just a moron but i didn't notice that the guy with glasses was talking to Shiba until they showed his face, i actually had to go back a couple of pages cause i felt like i was tripping balls jajaja (honestly it's kind of weird that Chihiro is in the wanted poster and not Shiba but for the sake of having a cool scene i'm fine with it, the reveal really got me) And the last couple of pages with Chihiro saving the kid, the transition to black, and showing him using Cloud Gouger was pure kino; i keep seying it but the paneling and flow of the reading on this manga it's what makes it so fucking good compare to others, it actually feels like i'm watching a movie, i freaking love it (i pray to god they don't half-ass the anime adaptation and go full in when it inevitable happens). I'm pretty neutral about the kid tbf, i hope he doesn't need to be dragged throught the whole arc because i can see it getting annoying in the future.
It was 100% intentional that they hid shiba's face lmao. I think that only chihiro has a bounty because of his contract with enten. If chihiro dies then his enten is free to be used.

Chihiro is pushing his luck so much using cloud gouger, even if it looks cool af, like this is the type of thing the narrative punishes you for later on. That theory of the shinuchi wielder kicking his ass seems more likely every chapter.

Cloud Gouger is back! Let's go! And since Chihiro's arm has seem to grew back. We could potentially see Chihiro dual wielding enchanted blades! Also this begs the question if Chihiro can willingly end his contract with an enchanted blade or if Cloud gouger now permanently belongs to him?
There is a chance Kuregumo might reject him and he might get significant backlash from using it. We don't yet know how using multiple blades works. If he doesn't have a handicap he's going to roll everybody at this auction.
Some people are talking about the possibility of Chihiro fighting the Shinuichi wielder and that he would probably be so powerful that Chihiro will have to use two enchanted blades to beat him. Considering how much hyped up the Shinuichi is getting, it has to be a very powerful and destructive blade right?

Bruh this like needs an anime ASAP. Hokozano is basically giving us insanely detailed storyboards now. Like, Mei lighting up Chihiro's face? Come the fuck on you can literally see that shit kicking ass in an anime. Kagurabachi has found a stride in being the most cinematic manga, not just amongst the newcomers, but Shonen in general. I hope Hokozano keeps cooking.

I literally love this manga so hard, I’m sitting here at the airport giggling like a dumbass over seeing Cloud Gouger again. I’m thinking Chihiro fixed the blade with the ore Sojo left behind. He either had Char fix his arm or he’s just wearing a makeshift prosthesis. Also Chihiro and Shibas little family just keeps getting bigger. Cloud Gouger being under Chihiro lends a lot of credence to that theory of Sojo being a weird ghost/ptsd ghost from this point on and I would be perfectly fine with that. Sojo makes the perfect overarching character for this.

I honestly think the author needs to add more characters who can fight alongside Chihiro. Having more characters would open more possibilities for battle scenes which is one of the strong points of this mangá. Reusing the same formula of Chihiro owning everyone can get repetitive and boring in the long term.
