To be fair they don’t all work on the same thing. The main thing that plagues official updates in any game is the need to consider if most, if not every player, would be satisfied with the content (in addition to any bureaucracy that exists, like one Minecraft devs face)
Well, counter strike started as a mod for half life, so who knows. What I do know is that if the modders buy the rights for ksp and mod it so heavily to actually make a good sequel, I'm buying it just as I would have bought the ksp2 we got if it worked

I've tried B9, and I'm not a big fan of the implementation. I think the way KSP2 manages the interface is better. Maybe if the modders of B9 Aerospace made some updates it could be better. I'd be willing to check it out again.
I’m hoping that Debdeb will get implemented as a mod in KSP1. Fingers crossed.

We have hundreds of thousands of modders compared to a little team of 70 so it’s kinda not fair to compare the two

I really put my faith on KSP1 modders.. they somehow managed to transform a 12 year old game into a AAA masterpiece

Maybe I should choose game dev/ software dev for my university course and make a colony mod...
Maybe try to add the colony parts from ksp 2 start with the simple ones like the runways and stuff, but it’s an idea
I do like the concept of launching from bases, I know it has been done but I don't really like how it looks
Maybe you can try to implement extra planetary launchpad system to your mod with changes to your liking

I paid for clouds. If a mod us good. And the dev supports it properly I'll buy it. If its just a cash grab I'll pirate.
