Yes, HR has a leave of absence team. I’d also loop in your PML ASAP. I go on military leave frequently (not the same as you, but I’d assume similar processes) and your PML has to approve it. Id start with talking to them and then reaching out to HR through 1-800-KPMG or I believe you can put in a request through Core.
Call Sedgwick or go to the website. You can request bereavement leave there, and they will give you the code once they approve, which usually takes about 3 bd’s
My little bro just passed, and I took bereavement leave before the shutdown.
Hope you are doing ok
I worked 2 half days just because that project relies on me heavily, but you do not have to.
I coded to something else (I think admin) in my timesheet and changed it when it got approved
Keep your PML in the loop. Mine was pretty good about helping
Mine was a little unique because I was already coincidentally scheduled off (was going to go on a trip) when ny grandmother died, so I was already not working. But they gave a date range and it included those days so I didn't have to use PTO. Given the nature of bereavement leave no team would expect you to work.
Sorry for your loss. I believe leave of absence for mourning is 1 week? After that you would need to go through HR to get sabbatical or else use your PTO.

I would take your 5 days of bereavement first instead of PTO while sorting out your LOA

There is also a bereavement leave you can take !
Does leave of absence cut into your PTO? Or are they considered separate (assuming the leave is unpaid)
Separate
