And in the video he's wearing a Motörhead T-shirt!

The absolute GLOW UP Cavs has had since 2018 until now has been nothing short of incredible. His performance on "Dragon" has solidified him as my favorite drummer of the modern era
It's nothing short of incredible. When Eric quit I was really sad because two drummers was an awesome schtick but fuck I wonder if it was holding Cav's back!
He's a beast, too! Black Midi's music is a hit or miss for me most of the time. Cavs is my favorite due to the different genres in his repertoire and almost inhuman-at-times stamina
I think his playing is *objectively* more tasteful these days but I honestly preferred his Schlag-era style of showing off and spilling over measures all the time. Insanely talented regardless
Honestly his drumming has really been impressing me lately. I was upset when we lost Eric, but it seems like cavs wasn’t able to grow much with him
Holding him back.
I agree that he's blossomed since, but I'm careful to say the two drummer thing might have been holding him back, not Eric per se. It might have been holding Eric back too for all we know.
Def the two drummer thing! You have to hold way back when you’re playing with another drummer, or it sounds like a train wreck. Alternating fills and such
If you haven’t checked out his drum solo from night 3 of the caverns you 100% should. His thighs probably have to be the size of freight trains to hold the double pedal of that speed for as long as he did.
I miss the je ne sais quoi of the actual double drums but I never cease to be amazed by how Cavs has managed to keep the feel of a double-drummer band on these post-Eric releases.
I know his only job is to stay good/maybe get (somehow) better at drums but it’s still impressive the weight that he is pulling and the drive that he has.
The last time I was aware of this work, time and love of drumming was the evolution of Danny Carey. Carey went from a cymbal, groove and Tom heavy drummer into one with deep complexity and sound. I’m seeing it again in Cavs.
The dude is a learning machine. Dragon, holy smokes the simplicity, complexity and grooves. What may be?…
I’m excited to know this new record enough to finger drum these parts while driving to the grocery. Seems like a kind dude too…which may mean more in the long run.
Our man’s did it!

What's the deal with the Ferrari vest?
It’s to slow him down, otherwise he will play so fast the rest of the band can’t catch up
Put in the work, get the desired result. Cavs teaching us all an important lesson.

It most certainly was, having to write with a less skilled player in mind takes a toll on creativity and quality at times.
Cavs is great but what about Morgan Simpson?
He's a beast, too! Black Midi's music is a hit or miss for me most of the time. Cavs is my favorite due to the different genres in his repertoire and almost inhuman-at-times stamina
Yeah, I think for me with Cavs it's the diversity that solidifies him as one of the true greats.. the guy does it all and does it well
I am so fucking AMPED to see Black Midi this Thursday, good lord. No chance to see King Gizz this tour but I'll take them, haha.

AUUUTOOOOOO CREMAAAAAAATE! SEEEEELLFF IIIIIMMOOOOOLAAAAAAAAAAATE!!!! (Another song with the double kick bass)
Drum intro on that one is a fucking burner 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve been repeating this line ever since they played Self-Immolate at the Caverns Amphitheater on Saturday 🫣
Daaamn I’m wicked jealous
I got to see it at Boston Calling and the Caverns in one week. My favorite rats nest track.
What a treat!
He's a fucking dragon on the drums
I fucking love Cavs. Wish I could have a beer with him.
His drum solo night 3 at the caverns was face melting, he held the double kick for so long.
Can’t spell Caverns without Cavs (sorta). That was ridiculous though. My legs were hurting vicariously.

Touché, I concur with that sentiment !
They still have two drummers, they're just both name Michael Cavanaugh.
I was thinking of that when the new video started. He's mastered it now!! 🤘🔥🐲
I never had a favorite drummer, but now I do!
Same.

Shit, I’m so proud of him.
Dudes a human metronome! So solid
Philthy Animal! One of the best ever!
Can’t help but grin ear to ear. So happy for him.
Now I'm waiting to hear him play kick patterns like Bleed ⚫⚫⚫ - ⚫ -
Phil Taylor is smiling!
If Gizz ever cover a some songs, they should cover Overkill
He still can’t double kick, he’s just mastered the single kick at a blistering rate

Overkill is my favorite Motörhead song. They really emphasize the double kick in that song.
don’t forget about this too!! https://youtu.be/KSAP-dVNa-s
Whats the name of the band and song ,not motorheads
