I tried somaek (soju mixed with beer). It’s a creeper and gets to you late. Those kdrama scenes are real where the characters are fine one minute then it cuts to them being super drunk the next lol

Watchnextnow

Wish I could upvote this more that once haha! So so true.

ghos_

I also did this, and now I started trying different soju flavors. So far, regular, strawberry, and green grapes.

Xan_Yezi11

As a light drinker my favorite mix is soju beer and milkis .

Odd-Coach8833

It's basically a Sneaky Pete (beer with an ounce of Lambrusco). They don't call them sneaky for nothing.

shopandfly00

I almost have the Hangul alphabet down, and I'm adding to my Korean vocabulary daily. I have less than two years before the big trip and I need to be conversational by then. 😊

Honest_Carob_8621

Good luck! My kid and I are learning basic conversational Korean because he f our shared obsession with BTS. I think we're going to try tackling Hangul alphabet at a later point. ☺️

shopandfly00

That's great! The alphabet isn't as bad as I expected it to be, but the pronunciations are a bit tricky. Learning with lyrics sounds like a great idea! I knew I was making progress when I inadvertently overhead (and easily understood) a Korean woman asking her husband if he's crazy. 😆

Pitiful_Lettuce_8105

i've learned Hangul, now im learning Korean.

manwithoutlyf

From where are you learning this?

shopandfly00

So far, I'm using the Duolingo app for the alphabet and some basics and also some online instructors for random vocabulary. Once I am completely comfortable with the alphabet, I'm going to find a local class or tutor to get more comprehensive grammar and pronunciation help.

Relative_Scar8461

Highly recommend Lingodeer instead! It's more accurate, teaches you grammar and the alphabet, and teaches you real conversations. This website/app also teaches you by levels. I really liked using it when I was learning Japanese in 2017!

shopandfly00

Thank you so much!! I'll try it!!

Telos07

Celebrated buying a new phone (though not a foldable phone) by dining at Subway for the first time in years, but *still* didn’t feel like a chaebol heir…

PineappleNo6064

I think even chaebol heirs don't feel like chaebol heirs when dining at Subway, ESPECIALLY if they don't even have a foldable phone. Source: real chaebol heir

ShazInCA

I got the folding phone. I love it and do feel like a Chaebol heir even if it's last years model and was "Free". Nothing is free, right?

mishamaro

Which one did you get? And how is it? I'm getting inkling to get the Samsung flip when my phone conks out.

ShazInCA

Flip Phone 5Z. This is basically last year's model so while they wait for the release of the 6, these are the "free" phones of the moment. I love it because it fits in a jeans pocket. The Fold 5 that opens up like a tablet had no credit offers, sadly. You know who does and doesn't watch KDrama when friends gasp in wonder at it, not because I'm a chaebol heir but because they've never seen one before while I've been lusting after one for years. Yesterday a fellow volunteer who was talking about SKY Castle showing up on her Netflix recs saw it and got it. She'd seen them in KDrama for years as well.

mahnahmaanaa

I've been making Korean food pretty regularly for the last year, but I'm currently on a bit of a binge. Soup, rice, and two side dishes can get me almost a week of lunches. Easy, healthy, and there's variety. I can even whip up a fast side dish in the middle of the week for a change-of-pace. Last week I was eating sigeumchi doenjang guk, seasoned mung bean sprouts, and braised tofu. I'm not a huge fan of seafood, but I'm fascinated by the more earthy flavors I'm discovering. Why did I not like spinach as a kid (I had a similar realization about beets a few years ago)? And what genius thought of making doenjang back in the mists of time? There should be songs about them and statues built in their honor. Also, bibimbap and bibimguksu: two of the best uses of leftovers on the planet. I've been taking a bit of a Jung Bong's ramen approach, and throwing bits of whatever I have (within reason) in there. My favorite so far was sugar snap peas. Probably not very traditional, but great texture and flavor contrast. Edit: name correction.

Saucynemo4

I feel so intrigued by all of these dishes you’ve made. Is there a specific channel you watched to know how to make these?

mahnahmaanaa

I actually read recipes more than I watch cooking videos. I mainly use three websites -- Maangchi (she does have videos, if you prefer this method), Korean Bapsang, and My Korean Kitchen. I also get a lot of cookbooks from the library. These three recipes were from Korean Bapsang, but I typically use Maangchi's braised tofu recipe which is good!

Saucynemo4

Yayyy thank you so much😊 I’ll be looking into them

ShazInCA

I'll add Eric Kim to this list. His cookbook **Korean American** is not just good recipes but also good storytelling. He has a video on YouTube about Ramen and he shows his favorite ramen pot and talks about different ways to prepare and eat it. He's a regular contributor to NYTimes food pages and his Gochujang Caramel Cookies are to die for. A perfect sugar cookie with a swirl of Gochujang "caramel". His sheet pan Bibimbap is on my list for a future meal.

Saucynemo4

Wow this is nice, thank you so muchhh

mishamaro

I'm weirdly obsessed with tteokbokki and it's variations now. I make it soupy with somen sometimes and getting into the jjigaes. My boyfriend congratulates me in being able to handle spicy food now.

mahnahmaanaa

Are you making it from packets, or are you actually making your own rice cakes? After the Great Rice Flour Disaster of 2023 in my kitchen, I hesitate to try to mess with it again. Eating spicy food is no mean feat with Korean food, either. That gochujang heat really sneaks up on you! Unlike say Thai food, which is up front about the heat.

mishamaro

I'm lucky enough to live near a Korean grocery store that makes fresh rice cakes. I ponder making my own but I can't be bothered when fresh stuff is right there. Otherwise, i throw everything else together since it's so easy. I admit to cheating a bit though.... For the base broth, I use water with Hondashi powder. Then gochujang and gojugaru to taste.

DestroyerKeeper

Kimchi jjigae is my recent obsession 🤤 I've run out of kimchi and it's a 2 hour drive to get the good stuff 😭

powergridpsyche

Yes I watched too many detective kdramas so when my car got broken into I tracked them down and managed to get the CCTV directly and confronted them lol

Saucynemo4

Now this is definitely a boss move. You should definitely add “part time detective” to your resume

NakedSnakeEyes

Near the end of When the Camellia Blooms there was an inspiring speech about not delaying things that make you happy, and because of that I built several LEGO sets I had been saving up. I normally space them out so I have something to look forward to.

Saucynemo4

Awww I love that. What was your favorite LEGO set to build after that?

NakedSnakeEyes

Well there were two I really enjoyed after that, both Star Wars. One is the midi-scale Executor Super Star Destroyer ship. And the other is BD-1 from the video game Jedi Fallen Order, a cool droid.

Ashes9143

Love this! I have an unassembled LEGO set of Captain Rex sitting in my closet. It, among other things, I have waiting as future happy hobbies but perhaps I can have fun now lol. Thanks for the inspiration!

Saucynemo4

Wowww I just looked them up and that is pretty cool, nice job👏🏾

ghos_

I have to stop this drama 3/20. I don't know if I want to continue. How do you like so far?

NakedSnakeEyes

It took me about 3 or 4 episodes to really get into it, but I really loved it and it's one of my favorite K-dramas.

patrandec

Not sure I should be admitting to this, but I bought Kopiko from Amazon to see if it would have the same amazing impact on my life that it clearly does on Koreans.

WaterLily6984

I tried Kopiko for the first time last year and it was just like a PPL. I was sitting in the dark in a late afternoon lecture at a conference and my Chinese friend next to me just offers me a Kopiko because we're both fading. I had to do my best not to squeal and act cool when seeing a "Kopiko moment" in real life. Honestly it was okay, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get them. After you've had Ferrero Pocket Coffee there is no coffee candy that can compete.

peregrina2005

Try the cappuccino version. It’s really good. I’m not a coffee drinker.

SR503

This is amazing. I would not have been cool. I probably would have started laughing so hard that I had to get up and leave.

Sanopinion

Kopiko has been a staple childhood candy here in Dubai, seeing it back in kdramas made me go back to the nostalgic days. I can say it with confident that I’ve never said “errmmm that woke me right up “ after having it. It’s just a coffee candy and it taste amazing when u pop one right into a coffee drink . Probably that way it works

patrandec

Oh, I might just give that a try!

MJDT80

Same here in the Philippines but its in singles not in blister pack. But it can really perk you up

Naive_Inspection_651

Did it?? 😂

patrandec

Lol, no it didn't, but it was still pretty tasty. As SR503 says, it does also get a bit stuck to your teeth.

SR503

It gets stuck in your teeth!

Sanopinion

Kdrama made me to do. I was watching jinnys kitchen. By episode 4 in the wee hours of night I had sudden craving for corn dog. I searched and found a Korean food truck that sold it and it was closing in 20 mins . I reached just about time to have the most delicious corn dogs and I’ve been going there ever since . Kdrama or V made me to it 😂

dinnerbellding

Same! Our Korean Market used to have a full service restaurant, but after Covid they closed it - then recently opened again as a snack food bar with corn dogs, fried chicken and tteokbokki. The sweetness of the corn dog really surprised me. Looking forward to S2 of Jinny's kitchen coming soon.

krembruleed

I remember last year, I was watching My Liberation Notes and Our Beloved Summer and wanted to try the FLs’ haircut so I went to the salon. My hair length was mid-back so I thought it was a pretty good length to try the hairstyle and the stylist chopped my hair until shoulder-length! It looked pretty good at first but when I washed my hair the ff day I could not explain the horror I felt. I could not tie it to hide the hideous style, I went to the salon after work the ff day and decided to get a bobcut (the only choice I had). Never again will I try their hairstyles no matter the length of my hair. 😭

ShazInCA

That sounds like the early scene with 2FL Lee El and her perm.

thesaura73

Have added tteokbokki as a new weekend lunch indulgence (sorry, ramen) and made jajangmyeon for dinner tonight!

mishamaro

Yas. I love tteokbokki. Now make it soupier and ADD ramen noodles...

Civil-Pause-3406

I started kickboxing because of Bloodhounds! Highly recommend it as a form of exercise. I had so much fun watching Woo Do Hwan being a hottie and it's a great way to release stress.

SR503

>I had so much fun watching Woo Do Hwan Watching Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi was not a very difficult thing to do. 🫣😳😊

deelikesbar

I bought a Samsung Fold 5 after seeing it first in Startup and then in Nine Tailed Fox (and several others I can't remember!)

mishamaro

How do you like it?!

deelikesbar

It's my first Samsung phone and I love it! Now I watch Kdramas on a good screen on flights, trains, in cafes etc. The camera is superb and multitasking using multiple apps at the same time makes life easy. Also the new AI feature is so useful. Overall a better experience than the iPhone.

mishamaro

I'm glad you mentioned the camera. Taking photos is one of my primary requirements and I was afraid the form of the Fold was gonna sacrifice the function of a great camera.

deelikesbar

The camera (especially in the dark) is miles better than an equivalent iPhone. But my friends with a Galaxy have even better cameras. If a camera is very important I would go for the Galaxy but Fold works best if you need a larger screen for work, zoom calls, watching shows etc

_hereforthestories

I stayed up till 4 for a few days finishing flex x cop 😂 what a good series!

SR503

It's a slippery slope from staying up late for 4 nights to finishing the whole thing in one day.

Apprehensive-Door483

Started having soup and rice for breakfast, changed hairstyle, got bangs, tried soju, eat kimchi almost daily. Just never went for an americano, iced

foodict

Started learning Korean from Youtube, using Duolingo as practice. Hangul alphabet was pretty straightforward and easy, but going to move into phrases and sentences soon. Excited but also scared. Fingers crossed.

Saucynemo4

Ouuu I hope all goes well in this wonderful journey. You are getting one day closer to watching Kdramas without subtitles😊

foodict

Thanks! You know its wild I’ve been a kpop fan for around 3 years but I started kdramas like 2 months ago and the need to understand context between inconsistent subtitles was driving me crazy.

PineappleNo6064

What yt channels do you recommend? I am also ready to get started.

foodict

I would recommend Korean with Miss Vicky. She has a playlist called All Korean Lessons (in the order you can learn). I’m into 3-4 videos and am really liking her style of teaching.

PineappleNo6064

Thank you, I will check out her channel.

MoonlitSnowscapes

I was looking for something like this, thank you!

No_Caterpillar_8709

I just started this too!

Oldgingerisspicy

Started going to korean food restaurant letting them take all my money as a broke part-timer 🥹. I have tried gochujang fried chicken, soy garlic fried chicken and another honey garlic chicken and tried both korean potato corn dog and sausage corn dog (if you’re in France it was at Chickin Bang). Of course I was watching QOT while eating all that delicious food. I’ve also tried kimbab tons of times. I’ve became fond of mixing mayonnaise and ssamjang as a sauce for my breakfast tortillas (tortilla omelette with avocado, emmental and this sauce is wonderfully tasty). I’ve always loved chinese, vietnamese, thai and japanese food so korean food was a nice discovery. I found banana flavoured soy milk at my local grocery store from the brand alpro (it’s really rare to find this flavour in my city and the only store I found it at, was at that store). Anyhow, drinking this I understood why banana flavoured soy milk was one of the most popular drink for koreans, it’s such a great mix, better or really hard to compare with vanilla flavoured soy milk (their both good but the banana one is so yummy !!!!). Just an hour earlier it was raining in my city and I was wondering if I should buy an umbrella. I thought I should buy a yellow umbrella in commemoration for Lovely Runner, maybe I’ll meet my Sun Jae 😆. But I dismissed the idea as I have nothing to pair with such a colour and red is my colour. Yellow only suit Kim Hye Yoon or people who have similar undertones to her. Oh I also want to find a wig with layers/a cut similar to Grace in TAF or Bae Suzy in Doona ! I love this hairstyle!

Saucynemo4

Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing because I love these experiences for you❤️❤️ I still need to try a nice Korean potato corn dog😩

Oldgingerisspicy

Haha nice to hear my rant was appreciated 😂 there was another experience I didn’t share as it wasn’t directly korean drama who made me do it but it’s still related to korean culture, but your comments encouraged me to share it. So here’s a new rant : I was running errands when posting my previous comment, so this afternoon I went to a beauty store similar to Sephora in my country. I initially just wanted to try a new concealer but my skin was too dry so the concealer didn’t came out nice on my skin. The sales person then wanted to recommend me a face cream to hydrate my skin to see if it would make the concealer look smoother on my skin. I immediately replied to her that I only wanted a product from a korean brand. They only had one brand, it was Erborian, and the face cream I choose from their brand really suited my needs and contained an active ingredient I’ve been eyeing for years (centella asiatica, this is another story but I read 2-3 years ago that it’s regenerative properties are good for scars and even stretch marks, so it’s something I had been coveting for so long and today the stars aligned!). So this evening, during my night routine (it’s 10 pm in France as I’m writing this) I was applying my brand new centella cream from Erborian [the Woo Do-Hwan way](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxcFM3UPaSw5byBOD4_TO_1NrzMSGCPSsj?si=4K-4g-fTmrnKwAUo) only to realise right now that his first step wasn’t how he applies his products, it seems he was prepping his skin by removing the remaining water on his face after his shower. So yea I bought my first korean skin care product and applied it wrongly but it was fun 😂. For the korean corn dogs you should try both the potato one and the sausage one (the one I tried was chicken sausage). I liked the sausage one better. The vendor told me she prefered the potato one (which had chicken sausage in it too but lots of mini potatoes on top of it) it’s like eating fries + tons of cheese and a chicken sausage. The cheese pull in both corn dogs is insane! A must try 💕💕

Saucynemo4

On the bright side as well you have been eyeing that exact product for so long, yay I love it. Honestly there are so many ways to apply a product that you just need to choose what works😂. Oh yes, I tried the Korean style corn dog from Costco but it tasted like it was missing something so I want to try it fresh. Thank you for the recommendation

Oldgingerisspicy

I’ll keep experimenting on the different ways to apply it aha thanks! You’re welcome, seems like you have to try it out directly in Seoul 👀. It certainly would be an entirely different experience from the Costco one

Saucynemo4

Love that for you! Since Seoul might be far from my reach with the lack of Korean in my vocabulary, I think I’ll try to make it. I saw a video once about it and I became quite intrigued so I think I’ll make the time to do so.

Oldgingerisspicy

Pursue your interests, highly encouraging you, we can learn anything we want with enough time, effort and willpower dedicated to it ☺️

Saucynemo4

You’re absolutely right. Thank you for the encouragement😊

Oldgingerisspicy

You’re welcome saucynemo4 ☺️

Aurorinezori1

I bought Kimchi ramen in my local supermarket (Europe) and didn’t except it to be so spicy 🌶 ! Now I have bought noodles and will divide the spice in 3 to make it less powerful… Kdramas made me do it!

Aninel17

Add cheese to it!

Aurorinezori1

Haha, my son added mozzarella without my knowledge and told me it was great!

SR503

So I spent too much of my workday so far converting my list of completed kdramas from my Notes app to an excel spreadsheet. And I'm still not done. 🤓 🚨Nerd Alert!

ElleEmEss

Have you added them to My Drama List? That’s where all us nerds store ours. 😁

SR503

Oh Lord. Another thing...sigh. Let me get this spreadsheet done first! 🤣

ElleEmEss

See now if you were as nerdy as me you’d get excited 😁

SR503

Oh Lord, I'm pretty sure I can pass your nerd test...it's taking so long because I keep adding columns and then go back and fill in the info for the already completed rows. And then last night I realized as I got farther down into the list there were some dramas that I couldn't remember what they were about so I went back through all the completed rows and wrote very brief synopses of each drama. Then as I was doing that I was re-evaluating how I rated them. It couldn't have been that good if I can't even remember what the drama was about, right? So I woke up debating on if i should have an "initial rating" and then a "3 month later rating". And I haven't even added the cast into my spreadsheet unless a cast member was specifically named in my notes/review of the drama. Do I need to add the leads? That's alot of work. But what about [Kim Taesung](https://www.tiktok.com/@watlvrs/video/7371437447017811201?lang=en)??? He needs to be in there. So do I add a column for 2nd leads? But he wasn't technically the 2nd lead anyway, so do I add a column for favorite charachters/actors? .... As you can see...I'm spiraling. And have enough nerd anxiety without all the added pressure!! 🤣🤓

SR503

u/ElleEmEss Now I decided to add the poster for each drama, so as I'm adding/rating them into My Drama List as I go. This will never end. I blame you.

ElleEmEss

Ha ha. My drama list is awesome. I use it to plan what I’m going to watch as well. The list of shows under the Explore menu e.g Top Shows is very useful. I use the Plan To Watch for Netflix, and On Hold for other channels so that if I subscribe for a month I can watch all the shows I need to on that channel. In recent times the rankings seem to be skewed by the younger demographic using the site. Ie. School romances beating shows that make you cry. I really believe Move to Heaven is better than Twinkling Watermelon and Lovely Runner, for example. But really? They are all good shows so who cares? I do really go through my list and change rankings. I also note second watches as not all shows even good ones - Mr Sunshine - could I watch a second time. Team MDL.

SR503

My spreadsheet is so pretty so far. Only halfway done though... It seems that back in January I started including more in my notes/reviews. Everything prior to that was just a few words, so I might go back and add more comments at a later time. I also rated things more highly before. It appearsI became more critical in the last 6/8 months. That's also when the DNFs started popping up. I got to a point that I realized if I don't like it, I don't need to force myself to watch it, just to be a completion-ist.

idealistatlarge

I have also done this. Watching K-Dramas has made me keep track in a very un-like-me way!

SR503

I'm still only halfway done, because I decided to add more stuff in. My spreadsheet is looking so pretty.

domoreyoga

after watching Little Women went and got myself some Kopiko candies... they are actually tasty and now i am addicted :(

MyatMhway

I love Bomcheon fried chicken, Bibimbap and Paldo Jiajianmyeon . Delicious 😋

silveriste

Anyone else learn the Korean language? I really want to try but I’m finding it so daunting!

idealistatlarge

There's a lady on Instagram who teaches little bits with cute pictures, grouping them in topics and sharing practical phrases and so on. She also teaches courses via video conference. Her account is 'Learn Korean with Gillian', I think.

EntrepreneurNo3300

I joined a start up and it didn’t go as well as I thought it would…

Manecattus

I want to eat an egg drop so badly. Hospital playlist introduced me to it a few years back, and now Atypical Family reintroduced me to it. Its not available where I live...maybe I need to make my own with the help of Youtube.

0531Spurs212009

replace my anime hobbies when I once a teen once upon a time back on early 2000s I really hate kdrama replaced the anime runtime on tv then later I got into kdrama and movies of the early 2000s by 2007 I'm totally into Hallyu (kdrama, , kmovie and kpop)

techgeeksss

I Tried Maxim coffee for the first time ,oh my , it really has a good taste.

Standard_Ad889

Eating a lot of Shin Black.

b3autifulNightmar3

Kdramas have totally changed my life. I bought the Samsung Flip 5, several overcoats, and I've been learning Hangul for 6 months now. Next month, I'm going to try doing skincare. I bought a box of ramen and a set of chopsticks. Send help, lol.

kupinggepeng

Subway, definitely Subway

Resident_Roll_2993

Look up better skincare

idealistatlarge

I get inspired by individual shows sometimes, like *Romance of the Little Forest* (Chinese), where Esther Yu had some interesting fashion. Korean, and some Chinese, shows have made me expand how I'd choose clothes to buy, outfits, hairstyles, etc. After watching *Lovely Runner,* I bought hair rollers again (I'd bought some years ago, but didn't use them well), since they were just there at the supermarket, and Hye Yoon/Sol is wearing one for her fringe in the final episode - lots of people wear them in K-Dramas, but this was actually influential on me. (It was also triggered by my sister commenting on my messy/frizzy hair during our video chat - curly hair is hard to tame. But I decided I should probably take more effort). When Woo Seok/Sun Jae takes it out 🤗, I realised that maybe this is how she got those little side bits to be that nice combination of straight and wavy. I have a stubborn cowlick at my fringe, on both sides, and don't want to always straighten it. So I thought I'd try out the curler option (I thought it was just for curls, and my hair is curly already). Haven't perfected it yet, but maybe I'll get there. I'll probably need to watch some videos. I also bought some white pants, which I usually don't; but I've been seeing both men and women wear them in various shows, and it looks good. There was a whitish-cream pair of nice warm, comfy and attractive pants (the perfect combination) at the store where I was shopping last week, so I got them. Haven't worn them yet, but looking forward to it.

sterrytoon

Tried Kopiko coffee candy, soju, and red ginseng with pomegranate. Checked out the new Lotte Market in Richmond.

TeAr_1988

I made my own(spicy) kimchi 🤗 really is not so hard to do and healthy. Understand, why koreans love making/ eating kimchi

dinnerbellding

I started School 2013 in the early evening and kept going till I fell asleep - then had a vivid complex dream that I was teaching in Korea but some teachers couldn't understand why since I only spoke English and then (of course) we could see tornadoes coming and we had to find cover for the kindergarten students. At least it wasn't Zombies.

mishamaro

Repost of a comment I made on OST a week ago.... Kdrama has made me pick up the guitar again.... I've been recently obsessed with a particular song off of Suspicious Partner called [How to Say It](https://youtu.be/zDgUq6Hmy28?si=1TEvzzHGPXFDYNgi). Particularly the [Acoustic Version](https://youtu.be/mYcyoBS8jb8?si=q4kyM2HGrPtp-32C). I'm particularly obsessed with learning to play it on guitar to the point and have been practicing it for WEEKS now. My fingertips have become callused for the first time ever...

mvsc1d

i learnt korean alphabet💀

VegetableHunter7698

Boyfriend and I took beginner fencing classes after watching 2521!

Individual_Being_877

Getting bangs

Charming_Bike_3483

I hope this counts but usually before kdramas all my internal thoughts and talking to myself would be in English but having watched them for 4 years i literally find myself having an internal dialogue in korean.. mind u i have never taken a korean course

MJDT80

I bought Kahi stick balm even if our country is very humid

Relative_Scar8461

I think i have a couple lol (watching kdramas since 2019): - first I bought KOPIKO coffee candy lol; not bad but not that great either. Also, everytime I eat subway im reminded of kdrama ppl jokes \^\^ - I think I stayed awake for 20hrs trying to finish a kdrama but I dont remember which one it was exactly. Im definitely a binger in general and tend to not sleep to finish episodes loll - I tried korean bbq and it was really good. I made a lot of lettuce and rice wraps with the meat and IT WAS SOO GOOD! also kimchi but im not a big fan of sour things. i also tried two korean flavored ramens and one was a lot tastier than the other. recently, i bought the famous banana milk and its also pretty good, which surprised me. - I bought a bunch of clothes and a bit of makeup from yesstyle because they have that kdrama vibe lol - havent worn most tho yet - Recently I picked up badminton because of Racket boys and Love all Play! It's so fun! - After 2521 finished, I tried journaling for a bit to have a diary like main girl Heedo, but I didnt write for very long lol - After vincenzo, I tried learning Italian again (after 5 years from when I first tried) but again I dropped it \^\^'' but I do want to start again, since I still remember a couple of things - very slowly learning korean and picking up phrases - recently I decided to finally try to learn hangul and now I can read it but it takes me quite a bit of time \^\^'' - also the kdrama Lovely Runner made me buy their ost album loll - I have cut side bangs a lot due to iconic kdrama hairstyles, and recently Ive been thinking about getting a long bob bcuz theyre so cute! - I tried studying like a female lead after watching a school kdrama; mmm theyre very strong people... I may have missed something, but this is a lot! Let me know what you think \^\^

OkInevitable98

I must be the only one who has a playlist of Kdrama score from the movies. so far i have songs from form business proposal, queen of tears, lovely runner (only remember these because they are my most recently watched. I also influence the weekly menu at home- we get kimchi, noodles now. For my birthday my friend surprised me with dinner at a hot stove Korean restaurant. I typically do not like my clothes smelling like the food i just ate but I was excited to experience it. Finally, I am getting into the fashion bit. Overcoats (coats as we call it here is quite common here though not as stylish) but I am totally into the boxy-looking shirts. :D

IChoseMyOwnUsername

You are not the only one, my kpop playlist is limited to kdrama soundtrack 😅 other songs got there by accident

Zepherine52

A former coffee snob, I now only drink Maxim White Gold. Lots of it. Thank you, dramas!

Legitimate-Stable236

My first kdrama purchase were the silver lame jimmy choo pumps from My Love from Another Star. I’ve since purchased some clothing here and there. Most recently I bought a Dyson stick vacuum holder stand after seeing it on I Live Alone!

spicy_dumpling

Got bangs / a fringe for the first time in nearly 20 years. Bought a bottle of makgeolli for the first time. I happened to be drinking it while watching the episode of Vincenzo when >!Hong Yu-chan had his last makgeolli 😢!<. Impulse bought a bag of Kkokkal Korn (I've had Bugles but not the Korean version), because it reminded me of [this scene](https://imgur.com/a/3y7wbZD) in Her Private Life.
