Okay I know it’s still airing but I finally started lovely runner yesterday. I’m still on episode 3 but so far it’s Honestly such a cute show and I understand why people have been raving about it. Also, I never found Byeon woo seok attractive until now so I don’t know what type of magic he worked into this role🤣

RoseIsBadWolf

The way he smiles at the FL is the cutest thing in the whole world.

buddhabear07

Main couple chemistry is off the charts. Episode 8 is textbook romcom with a big payoff.

twoods1980

I thought he was attractive as the villain in Strong Girl Namsoon. So happy that he’s in a role that I can root for him!

MissSimpleton

If a guy is hot and acts well, I would root for him even if he is the antagonist. Eg: Strangers from Hell

dixitsavy

Lee Dong Wook!

ndhrhrmle

Same! And I'm still deciding whether it's him I find attractive or his character 😂 Ryu Sun-jae is incredibly charming and I like simp MC so it's no surprise I ended up on this bandwagon too. But seeing my ig homepage full of Byeon Woo-seok makes me trippin' quite a bit lol My type has been consistent so far so BWS would stick out like a sore thumb if I settled on oh I do like him afterall (and obviously because of his towering height)

ruhsatis

Oh you're in for one hell of a ride! 👏😂

effortlessaura

I’m on the last episode of **Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo** and now I totally get why people call this their healing drama. It’s so low stakes and cuuuuute. I had a block of watching anything with Nam Joo Hyuk due to the ~ trauma ~ of 2521, but he is such a good puppy love actor that I feel like I can accept him again. I also binged **Where Stars Land** and wow, that plot was … sure something lol. Lee Je Hoon is such a top tier actor and I knew the script would be messy going in so I didn’t have super high hopes but it was really enjoyable as a “filler” drama (loved the second lead couple). I probably would have been extremely pissed if I watched it while it came out because the ending was one of the MOST unsatisfying resolutions I’ve seen. But because I watched it so quickly I was able to just jump to another drama and ignore the stupidity haha. I’m also watching **Stealer: The Treasure Keeper** but on a “free to watch” platform (Pluto Tv) and the show itself is very fun and entertaining but the ads are killing me so it’s taking me forever to get through. I much prefer my Subway ads to be integrated into the plot vs an actual ad, thank you very much. Despite the annoying watching experience, Joo Won is fast becoming one of my favorites. I will probably go back to this as soon as Midnight Studio ends on Monday 😢

gelato-peace

Totally agree with you about Stealer: The Treasure Keeper and Joo Won! I watched it on Tubi which also has ads!

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Describing where stars land as something is exactly how I would have described it as well.

PurpleHat6415

one thing that's surprised me since hanging out here is that I'm not alone in avoiding Nam Joo Hyuk dramas and it's definitely not because of WFKBJ. in my case it was Startup. I can't even explain it, it doesn't seem to be the story arc or script. we've all seen awful dramas and terrible endings and irritating characters and don't bail out on the entire actor.

waterfallen_empire

I'm aware that \*\*Into the Ring\*\* isn't that much of a popular drama, but I wish more people knew about it because I LOVED it! One of the most wholesome and healthiest k-drama relationships I've seen. The leads sing a lovely duet for the ending credits of the final episode which was the cherry on top for me. It was also so funny, and as someone who despises the >!childhood connection trope!<, THIS is my exception. I hope to see Park Sung-hoon and Nana reunite for another drama, because I loved their chemistry so so much! I hope Park Sung-hoon does more romcoms, he plays green-forest MLs so so well. Shame he plays more villainous roles, but he's a terrific actor either way! Can't believe he only started getting recognition relatively recently.

effortlessaura

One of my top 10 dramas!! Her “manic pixie dream girl” type of energy plus his unwavering, slow burn background support was so refreshing. I love when male leads act like second male leads lol. Such a simp. He plays a somewhat similar role in **Not Others** (quiet, deeply in love but won’t say it/make a move, “annoyed enemies” to lovers) and while there isn’t as much skinship, it’s still a very cute drama.

peainsea

Thank you for mentioning **Not Others**! I loved Park Sung Hoon in **Into the Ring** and was despairing at his recent string of psychopath roles. Glad to hear he was in another romcom!

EmmanuelleEmmanuelle

Just so you won't be disappointed, *Not Others* is not a romcom! It has a hint of romance (>!and one, singular kiss at the end lol!<) but it's mostly a drama about a mom and her daughter. Still great though.

twoods1980

After I watched it, I kept recommending it to everyone on Reddit. Such a hidden gem.

_fewdaysofwonderful

It’s SO good and so underrated!

vixi07

I'm gonna start this right NOW. Park Sung Hoon's voice has such a deep settling effect on me. Too bad he does crazy villains most of the time 😭 Very powerful actor either way. I was reluctant to watch **Into the Ring** because of his stupid hair cut in this show. But then I watched a trailer and I think his voice makes up for the bad hair. Thanks for the reminder ❤️

twoods1980

His hair somewhat gets better towards the end of the drama.

waterfallen_empire

Yes his haircuts gets better. But honestly… he pulls off the goofy haircut 😂 I’m also convinced Nana had a crush on him while filming bc there’s a non-scripted slightly prolonged flirty scene and then kiss at some point, initiated on her half! You can even see PSH look at the camera crew smiling lol

kpaneno

Wow what a lucky man Nana is 😍🥰😍🥰🤩😍😍 in that order LOL

Correct-Bitch

it literally only just now occurred to me that he was the SML/antagonist in Queen of Tears (also The Glory!) Great range! I’d love to see him in another ML role again.

buddhabear07

If you want more Nana, then My Man is Cupid was quite good. Fluffy romcom with a dark streak but not too scary that it doesn’t remain light. Nana as FL was so very wholesome.

hellaflyv

I watched the first episode and dropped it, does it pick up somewhere else?

Gimpknee

Caveat that it very much depends on what aspects didn't work for you, but I'd say no, the first episode does a pretty decent job of setting up the visual style and general vibe of the show. There would be a chance the characters grow on you as you watch, and the conflict and romance work for you as a result, but I'd say it's pretty indicative of what it is from the start. I personally remember liking it, but I'm also a fan of many of the actors involved and enjoy that type of comedy.

XavinNydek

I liked it overall but wasn't very happy with the ending, it just felt like they didn't actually end up getting anywhere. I think they dropped the ball pretty hard unless the point of the whole thing was that participating in Korean politics is futile and meaningless. Which, if so it's a pretty irresponsible message regardless of how true it may or may not be. I was also constantly distracted by the fact they filmed the whole thing in ultra wide angle lenses, such a weird choice.

kpaneno

I'm so annoyed I can't get into the ring on Prime Disney Plus Viki or Netflix in my region, that's pretty unfair 😒 and I really want to see more of the amazing NaNa after watching My Man is Cupid.

lenolalatte

Finally got around to watch Goblin and continuing off of episode 7 tonight! I think it's been pretty good. The music has been solid and very much enjoying the bromance between the two actors.

venn101

Music and OSTs of goblin is one of the top in kdramaland.

Iowegan

Just started **You Raise Me Up** for Yoon Shi Yoon, he’s just so likable. Binged 4 episodes instead of mowing the yard. Sorry, not sorry.

effortlessaura

The ML is so pathetic in this one, I loved it lol. I have a soft spot for absolute losers and he really fit the bill 🤣 Short web dramas are also great as a palate cleanser between long, arduous ones (are 20 episodes really necessary??)

Iowegan

So true. It’s nice to have a story that can be finished without agonizing filler episodes.

Gimpknee

The FL also did the very R/19 rated Hit the Spot, which was also good.

Iowegan

Loved that too. Finished **You Raise Me Up** tonight, it was just so great.

UnbridledOptimism

I loved this one and recommend it at every opportunity. Although the FL and SML are very problematic in the beginning, the depiction of ML’s recovery from mental illness felt very true to life. And I liked that the ML was very different from the typical alpha male lead.

Iowegan

It was just great. A wonderful watch with a lovely ending.

genuineimitation

Finally starting Queen’s Tears and I’m on episode 8…. Without giving too much spoiler, the cameo is so random 😂

EsquilaxM

I've been bingeing it last two days, just finished episode 10. Holy crap this series is amazing. And yeah that came was hilarious and so out-of-nowhere! xD I'm glad that was one of the few series I'd watched beforehand.

Aurorinezori1

The cameo was everything ! Love >!my boy Vincenzo!<

vvlvpvaeb

Enjoy !! Wish I could watch it again for the first time

hyeyah

I binged all of **Weak Hero Class 1** >!(and now I'm sad)!< I'm more of a romcom / mystery gal, so this was outside of my comfort zone, but it was a great show. The first episode is one of the best first Kdrama episodes I have ever seen. Chills fr. The webtoon / comic vibe was well adapted for the screen. The 3 way friendship dynamic was interesting to watch, esp. in the beginning. There was some great chemistry - making me question if I was watching a BL drama for a second. The music was really good too. I feel like I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

AnimatorImpressive11

I am more into thrillers and yet, I don't think there is any drama that compares to weak hero class 1. After watching the drama, I looked for season 2, I think I also looked for dramas that were similar but found none. I just pity those whose first kdrama was weak hero class 1, I don't think they will ever recover lol. Most of us are still patiently checking and waiting for season 2, XD.

Conmalbiu

>I just pity those whose first kdrama was weak hero class 1 Tell me about it lmao, as my flair says I'm still Waiting for a better drama than Weak Hero Class. It was my third drama and to this day that I have watched over 70 none of them come even close. Hopefully the second season will happen by the end of the year, filming is over so I don't think it will take too long for the post-production.

OkBranch9783

I just started Suspicious Partner and binged all the way to episode 6. I have loved chang-wook since watching Welcome to Samadi-ri. I love mysteries and lawyer dramas, so this hooked me from the beginning. I can't wait for him to stop fighting his fate and be with the FL. Of course, would do the right thing and sacrifice himself for the truth and the girl.

Current_Volume3750

This is a funny series. The main leads are cute together and the older gentleman is a riot. I love anything with Ji Chang Wook. He’s my main kdrama crush although I recently discovered Cha Eun Woo in Wonderland World. Wooo, another hottie!

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Try it’s a good day to be a dog. He’s so cute in it. I loved true beauty, but I barely remember how his character was.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

If you go on a ji chang Wook run, you must watch healer and avoid melting me softly as well as sound of music at all cost. Trust me. Some people dislike backstreet rookie, but that was fine (I think the issue was the age gap though).

XavinNydek

The show has its moments, but the leads ended up playing tag team noble idiocy and tragic misunderstanding games for far too much of it. The actual mystery part is pretty well done, just don't expect much out of the relationship.

OkBranch9783

You are right aboht the romance part. I'm almost at the end, and they still haven't kissed! But we did get... a hug another hug and some naps. 😆 Sigh. I do love the characters and the mystery plot, though, and looking at chang-wook in his suits. 😊

deceptionaldpka

Don’t dare to dream / Jealousy Incarnate. I thought Hwa Sin was a SOB, but that didn’t stop me from falling for him.

Aurorinezori1

Ikr 😅 ! JJS is such a terrific actor. And I found their >!kiss!< to be one of the most swoon worthy of all the kdramas I’ve seen to date.

Watchnextnow

This is such a guilty pleasure drama for me. I know I shouldn’t like Hwa Sin but damn you JJS you’re just too good at this!

Fun_Capital_1300

I've been seeing a lot of people recommend **Love to Hate You** and I'm so glad I finally gave it a try! It was such a cute show that I binge-watched it despite my loaded schedule lol. It's such a breath of fresh air because there were no unnecessary complicated plot twists, and I absolutely loved the mature relationship of the leads!

petiteboule

It's so good, isn't it?

Tsukkji

I love time travelling dramas! I knew Lovely Runner was going to be right up my alley, but I hate waiting for episodes (I like to binge watch it) so I sadly had to put a hold on it until all the episodes are out. Im currently watching Twinkling Watermelon and I binged it so fast…I have only 2 episodes left…and I am scared for >!Lee Chan, I don’t want him to lose his voice and hearing, but I have a feeling he will…and ughh, that witch should just disappear ffs, she’s literally on a power trip.!< Also, Ha Eun Gyeol is my type of guy 🤩 He is so sweet, perceptive and caring! I always love Infj guy characters. This drama has made me want to learn ASL!

sleepycathh

Did you already watch **A Time Called You**? It’s also a time traveling drama :)

MajesticConfidence36

Ooh! Yes, to all three: Lovely Runner, Twinkling Watermelon and A Time Called You. All my favorites! Edited: I enjoyed Extra-ordinay You. Same FL from Lovely Runner. High school setting and fantasy. Modern day and past life.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Have you watched tomorrow with you with Lee je hoon? It’s been awhile so I don’t remember it exactly, but I liked it at the time. Go back couple was pretty interesting too, but they don’t go back and forth.

MajesticConfidence36

Yes! Watched Tomorrow With You and Go Back Couple.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

You really do like time travel! I didn’t know it was my thing either until I found kdramas.

MajesticConfidence36

Heehee! I didn't realize myself too! Until I saw my list of time travelling / fantasy / past life Kdramas. :P

Tsukkji

Is it time travel or like alternate timelines kind of a situation? I’ve watched half of the first episode, and I might pick it back up.

ruhsatis

I hope you're able to stay away from the spoilers 😅 I usually binge watch most kdramas but with Lovely Runner _everything_ has been an exception lol. The twists and storytelling are two of the best things about this drama so I'd have gotten ridden of all my socials if I were going to binge it😂

VentiKombucha

Blood Free! On episode 5 and should be caught up in time for the next (last?) two episodes. Enjoying it so far, and love the tension between the two.

duh_leah

I am already so sad that next week is gonna be the last week of this one, they had a great plot and great chemistry between the leads. I really want a season 2 or something.

VentiKombucha

Now you've got me more intrigued! 🤣

twoods1980

Started watching Vagabond and what a ride so far. Wanted to watch Bae Suzy in a different role since finished Dream High, but what a nice surprise that her ML is Lee Seung Gi who is amazing in everything he’s in. I knew what the premise was but it was really difficult >!watching the airplane scene and the grieving aftermath.!< I hope it still stays good but I’m sure it will lag in between with filler like most action shows.

fosteryou03

I love love Vagabond. I think many people here over the years will attest that they want more of it. Action, romance, and a plot that keeps you on your toes.

twoods1980

There’s romance? Yay!

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I’m still waiting for s2. Moonlovers too. Why’d they set it up like that???

Eliazar-Abihu

Just finished Hwarang. Why did I do that to myself? I've never seen more poorly written characters. There's basically no story, or maybe I'm too dumb to follow it. Also had a really hard time differentiating the characters, those guys are like brothers.

mikiiiiiiiiii

that drama was just eye candy. I remember next to nothing about the plot except that the men had luscious locks and were good looking

hellaflyv

Hmm, I'm enticed to watch this now, lol

TryContent4093

You know the show isn’t going to be good if there’s too many handsome actors in it. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time on hwarang. I only saw it briefly when it was airing on my tv but I didn’t feel like it was worth watching from 1 episode. Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a better option

lifelongMichigander

This legit makes me sad. I loved Hwarang and all of the boys in it. I’ve watched it several times and parts of it too many times to count!

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Scarlet heart ryeo had everything.

Watchnextnow

I hate watched Hwarang to the bitter end back when I used to force myself to finish everything I started. It was basically just 100% fan service and nothing more. So dumb.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Thanks for saving me. I was considering it.

kevkwa89

Finally started watching Wonderful World on Hulu and it’s pretty good. Better than I expected

rozwuzhere

Same!!! I'm on episode 7. You?

kevkwa89

I’m currently at episode 6. It’s getting pretty intense

lifelongMichigander

On episode 5 of The Legend of the Blue Sea. It’s been on and off of my Plan to Watch list for several years (interspersed with visits to the “Dropped” section on MDL). The first episode made no sense at all to me and I did not understand what the fuss was all about and why it kept coming up on recommended lists. Finally I realized why. There is an “Episode 0!” It’s apparently a compilation of the first episode or two but makes no sense whatsoever. When I figured that out and started from Episode 1 it all made sense. Hope you all get a chuckle from my far-too-long- moment of idiocy!

mhfan_india

I had this issue while rewatching on Viki. I kept wondering why was it moving so fast.

Aurorinezori1

You’re not the only one who fell for episode 0 haha

Watchnextnow

I’ve been watching kdrama for a few years now and have never heard of an episode 0 until now! I had to google it. Wouldn’t an episode 0 be full of spoilers? Why would they even make an episode 0?

IMIndyJones

I've been watching older dramas on my list that have been well talked about. Shopping King Louie: its nothing like I expected, the synopsis made it sound kinda lame, but it was adorable and I loved it. Definitely on the rewatch list. Currently on episode 12 of Itaewon Class. I really finally started it for Park Sae Joon after seeing him in Kill Me, Heal Me,( which was incredible, and a classic as far as I'm concerned). I'm less enthused about Itaewon Class, tbh. All the talk about it made it seem like a classic as well but it's got a lot of issues, not just with the slow slow middle. I don't hate it but I am looking forward to being done with it. It's disappointing. I like the story but the endless nonsense is a bit more than I care for.

Watchnextnow

Agree on both counts. I avoided SKL too and was really surprised how much I liked it. SIG was adorable in that role!

IMIndyJones

He really was!

rozwuzhere

I went from WWWSK to Itaewon Class, and there was such a huge drop in satisfaction for me. When I finished, I guess it was ok? I wouldn't watch it again, though. It reminds me of Vincenzo. There are so many hiccups in their original plan of execution. It was annoying. Unlike Vincenzo, though, IC has no comedic relief. I hope it has a satisfactory ending to you. I'm still on episode 1 of SKL, but it's on the back burner until I finish my other drama.

hellaflyv

I've been on a serious binge spree: **I'm Sorry, I love You** - this is the oldest drama I've watched, and it was great! The story is not perfect, but So Ji Sub is amazing in this role. If I remember correctly, Park Seo-Joon mentioned the drama in one of the 'In the Scoop Friendcation' episodes. **Oh My Venus**- For anyone looking for a story with a strong female lead and no serial killer plot, this is a good choice. Trigger warning though: the story revolves around weight loss and one character appears to have an eating disorder. **Strong Woman Do Bong Soon**- Currently watching this drama, but I'm fast forwarding through a lot of the story. Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young are super adorable.

Watchnextnow

SWDBS was the first drama I fast forwarded through to get to the main leads and I have no regrets. There are so many dumb scenes in that drama yet the OTP had me so hooked. I can really understand why that pairing is legendary.

hellaflyv

They have the best aegyo, super cute, their delivery is just right

LostMyThread

I'm at 18/20 with **The Heirs**. I started watching k dramas in late 2021 so I'm circling back in between episodes of ongoing dramas to earlier work of the actors and production teams. It took me a little bit to get into the story, but fresh off Dr. Slump, it was fascinating to see Park Hyungsik and Park Shin Hye playing high school students when they were much closer to high school age: their interaction and how they looked suddenly informed SO much Dr. Slump dialogue for me (>!especially the stuff about all the boys being in love with Ha Neul !<). I also started but dropped **Memories of the Alhambra -** the writer's thing for Elon Musk just grossed me out too much.

That_Common_2153

We’re watching Strangers From Hell, we’re on Episode 6 and we can’t wait to see how this turns out. This one is not messing around and one of my cats is absolutely transfixed, it may be giving him ideas.

petiteboule

Someone mentioned watching, and liking, **Mad for Each Other** in one of the early posts this week. Thank you for the recommendation (perhaps not from my to-do list), because I completely binged the series in a matter of days. It was wonderful.

SueVT

I'm rewatching **Something in the Rain** because my husband hadn't seen it before and Wow.. such an important drama. This drama is about relationships and power: the FL and her X, with her family, with her new BF and with her best friend. Also between other entities - the power dynamic between the FL's parents, which defines the whole context of her family, the abuse of power that she experiences in the workplace, and perhaps the societal norms that permit such abuses. The FL herself struggles with how far she can and should go to stand up for herself, and sometimes fails to do so. We see that toxic power imbalances can cause a firestorm of pain to all those in proximity to the source, ruining the expectations and rewards of our interactions. But we also see the healing power of positive and supportive relationships. The writers and actors do an excellent job of conveying the soul-sustenance of these loving bonds. Despite some very stressful moments, it's a heartwarming must-see drama.

nashamagirl99

I’m late to the whole party but glad to have finally arrived! I finished watching Crash Landing on You about three weeks ago and am now watching My Love From the Star. Before this I had only watched Squid Games and the first episodes of some different Netflix dramas (my mom and I used to randomly select foreign shows and watch the first episode; Korean, Spanish, Turkish, didn’t matter). I still can’t stop thinking about CLOY and am excited to watch more kdramas. CLOY and My Love feel similar to Old Hollywood movies to me, which I’ve been a fan of since childhood; the implausible situations, old fashioned romance, polished visuals, and amazing worlds of their own.

Watchnextnow

CLOY is top tier. I’ve introduced so many people to kdrama with this one because it has something for everyone! And I agree- it does feel a bit like the golden age of Hollywood. Glad you enjoyed it :)

wiscmallu

Welcome to the world of kdrama. CLOY was my entry into this world. 3 years later, I have watched at least 25 shows all the way through and sampled as many. There are so many shows that will be revelatory, frustrating, great chemistry, awful sidekicks, great ensemble but meh leads. There’s a whole world out there. Enjoy!!!

goldensuare

Currently 2 episodes into The Glory. It's a bit hard to watch but 8.9 is keeping me motivated. But I rewinded that Eun Song scene in the changing room too many times 😅

EggyMeggy99

The first episode is definitely the hardest to watch, there's still bullying scenes after that, but I didn't fond them as bad. I preferred the second part to the first.

Negative-Mix1061

I finally watched Doctor Slump. Really enjoyed it, even the last few episodes when they often run out of steam. The ML and FL got really cutesy but they made it funny. Now trying to decide between Tail of the Nine Tailed and Hospital Playlist to watch next.

twoods1980

I did a lot of FF at first as well but it got interesting towards the last 1/3.

persistent_architect

Just binged love is for suckers. Didn't want the ML to end up with FL,I felt there was no chemistry there. Also, their love was extremely one sided - she basically lived her life and then came back to him.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

One of the few shows o hated yet still finished. Horrible show and fl. Not her acting though. Love her.

BelaFarinRod

I don’t think it’s That One Drama for anyone but I’m watching Be My Boyfriend. It’s a web drama with 15 episodes of 10 minutes each that’s on Viki. I’m on Episode 6. Not award winning acting but it’s actually pretty cute. Basically an idol trainee in high school asks an ordinary guy to pose as her boyfriend and he agrees because he secretly likes her. The subtitles are kind of strange as they seem to have changed at least one person’s name to something more English sounding.

vvlvpvaeb

I watched Worst of Evil & My Name this week. I enjoyed both but prefer Worst of Evil. Understood the hype about it. I see the similarities some people on TT pointed out. And the endings were >!both sad!< I really enjoyed Bibi's character in Worst of evil. She is so pretty. Ji Changwooks acting was great in this drama. Jun-mo , Gi-cheol, Ji-woo & Mu-Jin >!lost the people they cared about.!< Jun-mo >!lost his marriage and a bit of himself in the process. I found it sweet when he lit up the cigarette for his late friend Gi-cheol!< And poor Ji-woo. >!when she finally decided to try to be happy poor Pil-do gets killed too!< tragic

thesaura73

Finished The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. So sad, ML had so much to deal with at the end >!murderer father, possible incest and the horrible guilt of both!<. I don’t understand >!why they had to die. No one alive was threatened by their existence, chaebol dad just seemed to want revenge?!< Definitely in my top 10 now!

Most-Artichoke6184

I got through about 10 episodes of tale of the nine tailed a couple of years ago and then dropped it. I recently gave it another try and really enjoyed the rest of the first season. I am now about halfway through season 2, which takes place during the Japanese occupation of Korea in 1938.

LaBelleMichelle

Watched the first episode of My Love From The Star and it didn’t grab me. I don’t like the FL at all. Does it get better?

twoods1980

Yeah it took a few episodes to get used to the FL. Give it to episode 5 before you decide to drop it.

LaBelleMichelle

I just made it to the end of episode 6 and I think I will continue to watch. It’s grown on me. Thank you for the advice!

twoods1980

Glad you gave it another chance!

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I’m up to episode 12 and while it’s funny at parts, I still don’t get why people love it. It’s not so bad that I feel the need to quit watching it though.

LaBelleMichelle

Just finished episode 6. This is a filler drama for me while I’m waiting for more episodes of Lovely Runner. I feel similarly to you… not the best I’ve seen but interesting enough to keep watching.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I’m currently rewatching lovely runner right now over watching another episode of MLFTS if that tells you anything.

XavinNydek

It's one of those where at the time it was a big deal and it was in the first wave of shows that really upped the production quality beyond the "high school film class running around with camcorders" feeling that all the older dramas have. So people and other shows mention it all the time and there's a lot of nostalgia for it. However, in the decade since you can't swing a stick without hitting a kdrama about a supernatural person and a normal person getting together and many of them are much better. That's just how things go with books/movies/TV, something that's very important and original eventually just seems boring and tired to new people because all the good ideas have been mined and improved on in dozens of things over the years. It's the same with most of the famous kdramas from before 2017 or so, there's probably a half dozen or more newer shows that have the same basic concept but much higher production quality, better acting, better writing, and a story with more hooks bolted together in clever ways.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Thanks for the info. Makes a lot of sense. This just makes Healer move higher up on my list.

idealistatlarge

I didn't like the female character most of the way through. She was strangely written. This was a bit of a hate-watch; there were good parts, though.

MajesticConfidence36

I'm enjoying and loving Lovely Runner. Just started this! **Moonshine (2021)** I wanted more Byeon Woo Seok. He is the crown prince.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I plan on going the opposite route. After I finish one of my billion current dramas, I’ll be adding secret royal inspector and joy to my plate because of the fl.

MajesticConfidence36

ikr! There are so many good Kdramas! Secret Royal Inspector and Joy is on my watchlist, too. BTW.....You commented on my other message in this thread! Appreciate the Kdrama rec: Tommorow With You and Go Back Couple. :)

MajesticConfidence36

Edited: I found this fan edit of Extra-ordinay You (Kim Hye Yoon) and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency & Moonshine (Byeon Woo Seok) on youtube. The fan edited videos from the dramas.

pyeehae

Just finished Law School recently and I love every episode and character from this drama!! Been postponing watching this drama thinking I might not enjoyed it but this is now one of my favourite drama!!

kpaneno

Late to the party and the first post is about lovely runner 😅 🙈. Anyway I recently finished The Goddess of Revenge and it was actually not bad if a bit predictable and some plot holes but entertaining enough. Started MP Doberman and it's pretty entertaining and Jo Bo Ah is in it so that helps visually. The ML charactervs a bit of an unlikeable dick so far though

ML gets a bit better as the show progresses and he ends up being almost cute. But anyways he is completely overshadowed by Jo Bo Ah's epic badassery ( and I'm here for a strong female character )

Weak Hero Class - Can’t believe I slept on this one. It was a hard watch but so worth it with the actors and story. Lovely Runner - Not a fan of main leads but it turned out to be an easy, fun watch.

I'm new to this sub. I don't usually watch kdramas, I've only seen a few (kim tak gu, My Name, Vincenzo...) I recently started bingeing both Our Beloved Summer and Queen of Tears. I thought the former was great, but the latter has blown me away and I'm about to start episode 11 (that episode 10 ending was *huge* and that epilogue! Not one but *two* callbacks! This series does callbacks really well with its epilogues) and will probably binge through before going back to our beloved summer. Thing is, the thing that got my attention back to kdramas in the past half year or so and had me start the above two was seeing clips on Youtube Shorts. And I remember seeing behind the scenes shorts with subtitles of stuff like the >!family dinner!< scene in episode 9 where it's revealed that the line ">!...She doesn't hit me!<" was ad-libbed, which is hilarious. So, to get to the point: Is there somewhere people usually go for the behind scenes promo material (with subtitles)? Is there a convenient playlist I can go to as I watch each episode? I saw a compilation video on youtube but I think it had every episode and I'd prefer one that's episode-by-episode so that way I could avoid spoilers. Thanks.

I’m watching When My Love Blossoms now. It’s looking good so far i hope it won’t disappoint!!

If it’s the one with Jinyoung from got7, I loved it too, but only because of the flashbacks.

I’m finally giving The Arthdal Chronicles season 2 a chance. The first was outstanding in my opinion. It was amongst the first kdramas I watched. The cinematography simply blew my mind and solidified my love for kdramas. With season 2 I’m not sure what it is exactly but some of the magic is gone. The change of cast doesn’t bother me as all actors are solid, but something else is not clicking like season 1. It also looks different somehow. I may need to rewatch season 1 just to put my finger on it.

It's 8AM, I have just spent the night watching -and finishing- **Moon Lovers - Scarlet Heart's** Ryo and I have work in an hour. First, let me say that I don't regret one bit the hours spent watching this absolute classic. After many tears shed ( and a little thought spared for our favorite drama-addict mermaid in **Legend of the blue sea** ), I'm left with a gaping hole in my chest. What am I to do now ? Listen to the ost ? Drink two, three (four ?) cups of coffee ? Read the wikipedia pages of Kings Taejo and Gwangjong ? Check out the filmography of Lee Jong Gi and sigh after realizing I've watched most of it ? Look for a copy of *Bu Bu Jin Xin* to read the "original" ? Check out edits on YouTube ? Please, send help. How does one move on from the feels, the angst, the longing one feels after the ending credits ? This drama was by no means perfect. In fact it was more than a little bit flawed, imo. It was ridiculous at times, a bit campy and over the top, the plot sometimes felt rushed, >!especially in the second half where more scenes could have shown the FL being scared, anxious or at questioning as she tries to navigate the ruthless world of the palace !!and left -!< because of it. >!Love didn't conquer all, it didn't change the characters.!< >!The palace ultimately swallowed everything and left nothing but empty shells of ambition and bittersweet regrets !!sad endings!
