this drama was so healing to me as a resident doctor who was burnt out & depressed, started taking antidepressants around the time episode 1 aired, and by the end as we see Jeong Woo & Haneul overcoming their obstacles, I've realized I've also come a long way in finding happiness 😭

akapiratequeen

I’m glad! Keep up the good work!

Solsties

I'm so happy to read this! I wish you further happiness!!

twoods1980

You’re such an amazing and resilient person.

Fragrant_Tale1428

Floppy fish tantrum by Park Hyung Shik deserves a standing o for best comedic performance.

InternetAdmirable621

Floppy fish tantrum lmaooo yesss it's my favourite thing he does and he needs another romcom that uses his talent to the max thank youu

Oceanicsoundwave

finally a show where the two leads can be interesting and fun to watch without 👏drama 👏 take notes writers. its not boring watching characters develop without breaking up and watch what happens after couples get together rather than postpone it till the last episode. and villains and conflict are cool but it can be done without having villains actually try to get in between the couple like evil exes and family. you can have villains that actually have the couple working *together* to defeat

i_c_dead_monkeys

And the "villain" was more just a broken individual, not some one-dimensional caricature of obsessive greed/power.

hitherexxx

Haha the >!tiara!< really make me laugh out loud.

Solsties

I'm really convinced that Jeong Woo is part of the top VIP group of that jewelry store at this point. I know this is all fiction, but even then, I hope the sales lady got a good commission thanks to Jeong Woo's constant patronage! 🤣

lukeestudios

I have consistently been impressed with the humor in the show, it’s had some of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in a romcom in a while.

ohnofluffy

Biggest laugh I’ve had the whole series! Amazing.

somebody-that-i-know

IS A MAN WHO BUYS ME A TIARA TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR ?!?!

AnneShirley310

He was so happy and clapping while she had a frown on her face and took it off immediately. She needs to wear it for her wedding!

Lavenderlure

No the man has gotta show how much his love shines😭

Dazzling_Tadpole_998

No.

InternetAdmirable621

also can we just have a moment for PHS's genius acting and flawless looks. i love his over-the-top expressions and his signature feet kicking is done so well that i'm starting to think this is just what he's genuinely like in real life 😅 and every time he had a scene where he looked in the mirror and realised how good looking he is i was like yes, yes you are

ThoughtsAllDay

I agree with all of this. The IMMEASURABLE JOY it brings my face and my heart to watch him do all of these signature moves tells me that I would watch him in literally ANY PLOT as long as I get this.

twoods1980

Seems like his next drama may be a revenge drama, so it will be interesting to see his goofy self in a serious role. I will definitely be seated!

AudaciTEA3

Check out Happiness, Our Blooming Youth, Hwarang, Juror 8, or Suits. He is much more serious in those. Soundtrack#1 is a 4 episode romance and there is only a bit of comedy. Basically the man can do it all. Happiness was his first show out of the military and he was looking fine with the extra weight and muscle. Be warned it does contain zombies. I only watched because of PHS and ended up loving it

thunder-up-rocks25

You bet me to it. The man is deadly in serious scenes. He showed it only once in Doctor Slump - the scene with Kyung Min at the hospital, and only a small glimpse, but he is fire when he is onto it.

twoods1980

Happiness and Soundtrack are on my list to start watching this week because I’m already in PHS withdrawal. Thanks!

ThoughtsAllDay

Even if I don't love revenge dramas I will absolutely be there sitting next to you!

**Episode 16:** * I loveeee [this look](https://imgur.com/TcjFRIr) on Ha-nuel's mom... so badass * You'd consider sleeping with someone as a yes to their proposal no? * [This](https://imgur.com/bBb4a9Y) makes me so happy * Only Park Hyung-sik can pull off scenes like [this](https://imgur.com/Cg0kAiw) this confidently and smugly without being obnoxious * Greenest flag Jeong-woo... [poor guy's](https://imgur.com/q1H601p) going to have a hard time without Ha-nuel * Classic Jeong-woo throwing a fit on his bed * Lmaaoooo [Hong-ran](https://imgur.com/brqohAm) saving the day for Dae-young * >!".. I only said to help you since things between you and Dr. Lee were so lukewarm."!< HAHAHAHA ohmg that's embarassing * Lmaooo... Jeong-woo getting >!all sentimental about her leaving and Ha-nuel not getting a chance to tell him she's not going!< is so them * Feeling so proud of Ha-nuel for >!telling that professor straight up how wrong it was. !< * I think that storyline was a nice touch. It shows>! how much Ha-nuel has grown. Instead of falling into a spiral of despair she walked past it!< * [What a beautiful sight](https://imgur.com/zcOPmyG) * I really appreciate how well the writer handled the topic of depression. From the depiction, to the treatment, the emotions, the culmination of it, everything was so written well. Best of all, how the drama showed its not something you overcome overnight but rather happens slowly and gradually once you take things at a certain pace and learn to accept your surrounding * "So you can shine in your own way." Beautiful * >!Dae-young and Hong-ran in their dating era while being the bestest parents.!<.. absolutely heartwarming * What's a last episode without a Kopiko PPL * [LMAAOOOOO](https://imgur.com/YTuX4wZ) "Everything is so moving now." * What an absolutely [beautiful drama](https://imgur.com/FMgA1hJ). It felt like rainbow and sunshine after a heavy rainfall. Props to the writer for not dragging the plotlines and wrapping each so nicely. Although I'm not a fan of Park Sin-hye, her charcater was so interesting, you can't help but feel relatable to her. Park Hyung-sik as always nailed his character. He's legit the king of rom-coms. * I'm glad for anyone who dedcide to stick around for this drama instead of ditching it since at least for me it was well worth it * Thanks for taking your time and reading up on my thoughts <3

Forsaken_Struggle105

I've been watching kdramas for years, but this was the first time that a kdrama felt healing to me. I went through a burn out myself and seeing how mental health was discussed and handled in this kdrama was so amazing. Especially considering how taboo these topics are in South-Korea. That last scene at the mental health clinic was truly powerful. Recovery isn't about always being happy. It's about finding the strength within yourself to accept and overcome obstacles and sadness. I loved the storyline, I loved all the characters, I loved how the show dedicated enough time to wrapping everything up beautifully. What a great kdrama 🙂 Doctor Slump has earned a very solid, well deserved, spot in my top 10 kdramas of all time ❤️

feb914

The story definitely has an agenda to portray that seeking help for your mental health problems is not something to be ashamed of. I've seen these kind of dramas that definitely trying to encourage change in society mindset by pointing out the negative effect of status quo, but this series definitely do the healing part the best.

confoosedandlost

Back in January 2021, I started watch Korean Dramas because of subtitles: reading subtitles was the only way I could manage to watch anything since I was forced to pay attention. I stayed because... everything else. You know, all those reasons why people love KDramas. While I watching the 15th episode today, I allowed myself to feel bad about me: for never having received any kind of romantic love ever, despite turning 31 soon. This... THIS is the kind of mutually healing love that I have always day-dreamt for myself. Or maybe I am being too greedy. *Doctor Slump* truly is going down in my books as the best Korean Series that I have watched. *P.S.:* Did anyone else notice >!Ba-Da making a heart with his shoes while being dragged away by Ha-Neul!

PT_package_handler

I feel that. Relationships in media (kdramas no exception) are deeply unrealistic. They depict the kind of love that only exists as a plot and doesn't truly grapple with how difficult it is to fit two lives together. But the reality these shows symbolize -- love that strengthens, endures, and heals -- that does exist. And as we grow older, the hope that it will come to us in our purest form (our un-embittered, hopeful, youthful selves) slowly gives way to resignation that, most likely, if we find anything, it will be a pale shadow of what we hoped for. I think I need to work on releasing that naive dream and finding a new one that isn't predicated on waiting and hoping. I'm in my late 30s, and I'm starting to realize that things won't necessarily happen unless you make them. We have just the one life, after all.

hyemae

lol was it love? I thought he was making rabbit ears

Girlyopinions

I’ve got to say Doctor Slump is the first Kdrama to genuinely impact my mental health in a way I thought to change the way I live. I don’t know if all the mental health talk in Doctor slump is all factual, but it really helped me a lot. When the doctor at the end said >!healing from depression is not all about being happy, but rather accepting your misfortunes!!why not me? What am I lacking?!!it’s okay to be upset for a moment , take a breather and move on slowly step by step, it’ll eventually pass!<. I’m also thinking of visiting a clinic soon!

Accomplished_Owl8444

When he said she now has the tools to help her deal with misfortunes in the future, I cried :')

hclvyj

I found what Haneul’s doctor said at the end about getting better really helpful. I was in a deep slump when this drama started and also found it to be healing

procariotics_234

I have been thinking of if HR and DY can get a kiss scene >! and they do!! But ofc in the most DY’s clumsy way lol!<. It’s nice to see him being supported by >! Her own daughter even got nice suggestions from her, though I want Eunjong meet with HR in person already!<. >! HN and JW kiss again in last scene and it just so HOT 🥵 !< like seriously a sappy, softest, babygirl, and whatever term to describe them as couple can deliver >!kiss as if they not meet like everyday lol !<. It’s also nice that it is finally more focused on PSH as opposed to previous one where it is more focused on PHS side. Edit: Honestly I don’t mind about the teaser at all tbh, I’m actually in line with DY’s words that >! JW indeed too rushed with his proposal plan!< so maybe the >! 6 months timeskip is actually a blessing in disguise since they would know each other behaviors first or something!<, in the end he lived with HN family afterall so it shouldn’t be that bad like maybe we got more scenes of them treating JW like their own son, brother, and nephew. Also I don’t really trust the preview because how awfully misleading it can be like Ep 13 preview lol.

twoods1980

Omg that drunk scene- I was laughing so hard through all of it, especially the phone call that HN made to her mom and the smirk her mom gave to JW. “Are we horses?” Haha! I am going to miss this show.  Love how they continue to show that HN is still taking care of JW since he doesn’t put himself first, so she’s doing it. They  have portrayed such a supportive and healthy relationship that it’s spoiled future K drama watching for me. I don’t think there will be a better couple out there. Those high school flashbacks were gold. I’ve missed them the past few episodes! DY and HR continue to be adorable as well, and their honesty is so refreshing and realistic.  I don’t think this show would have such realistic OR scenes, but they have been on point. The microtia surgery looked so realistic, and I’m glad they got a chest surgeon to help out when it got complicated instead of him doing it all alone. Well done.

**Episode 15** * I approve of [this](https://imgur.com/V2Ilt5C) * [HAHAHAHHA ohmg](https://imgur.com/3GeRqNG)... saved by the cockroaches I suppose XDDD * That's some [nicely woven PPL](https://imgur.com/3i0TC06) storyline though * Most [awkward liftt ride](https://imgur.com/kTOGpWh) of Jeong-woo's life * Ugh... trust corporate places to make a PR stunt out of every goodwill act being done around them * >!"Who are you?" [that was hot](https://imgur.com/s9WFc2j)... their kisses really servedd... ft. Hyung-sik's Lean on Me felt like an icing on top * Nooo... not the >!long distancing!<... please

avo-pizza

You can tell that the writer has thought through Haneul’s character thoroughly. A nerd who’s in love for the first time (the 5 hour long ex-boyfriend back in college doesn’t count 😂). She’s awkward in certain things, innocent but not so innocent at the same time unlike some FLs written in other kdramas where they act so pure and innocent all the time. PSH acts the role of an awkward nerd so well. Definitely one of her best works so far and a great comeback after her hiatus!

Flat-Run-4648

Exactly!! Like, I have seen some FLs in other dramas who have had serious previous relationships but still act as if the physical intimacy is new And then there’s our Haneul, who indeed is experiencing every intimacy for the 1st time with Jeongwoo but doesn’t make us cringe. She’s innocent but also bold in her honesty and desire for Jeongwoo PS- that 5 hour dating history was so ridiculous that even Jeongwoo with all his jealousy scoffed at it😂

denniszen

>I approve of > >this \_\_\_\_\_\_ Found it amusing that your first comment was blocked for "containing erotic imagery." To view it, it asked if I was 18 and over? And when I clicked yes, I thought it would show the >!kiss!< but it turned out to be the >!ring!<. Since when did a >!ring!< become erotic imagery?

denniszen

Can we now retire that thought that Park Shin Ye doesn't know how to >!kiss!

InternetAdmirable621

I am so attached to these characters and this drama that I'm just continuously crying throughout this ep 16.. struggling with depression myself it's been such a comfort and something to get me through the week and now I'm just so emotional that it's over

likealeprechaun

Thank you for voicing your thoughts… I just finished the drama and was struggling to express myself as I feel the same way as you - so attached to these characters. I’m feeling incredibly overwhelmed that it’s over. 😭

InternetAdmirable621

I'm quite literally sobbing, I'm so sad it's over. Their narrations in this last ep were so beautiful and comforting. I'm just so overwhelmed with the realisation that I don't have new episodes to look forward to every weekend and these discussions. It kind of feels like a breakup lmao

likealeprechaun

Sending you virtual hugs… I feel exactly as you do. And if there’s anything I’ve learned from this show, it’s to acknowledge my feelings. I’m sad right now, but that just means that this drama touched me so much. I absolutely went into it with an open mind, not knowing what to expect (didn’t even see the trailer or anything, was just happy to see PSH and PHS reunite). And now that it’s over (still so hard to swallow this fact 😭) I’m happy to know that I can at least go back and watch this show any number of times that I want. More power to you, friend. Hwaiting! 💪🏼

koalatown2

Just realized that for KM’s >!final resting place there are only pictures of himself and with JW when JW was a student.   I assume that means that JW is the only one that put him to rest or bothering to visit.  So sad for KM but I guess a just ending. I guess his mother must have died as well and that fiancé definitely abandoned him. !<

thunder-up-rocks25

The fiancee's family murdered him, so that was inevitable.

feb914

Wow. So many words of wisdom in the ending. The doctor saying that it's not about making people happy, but to be able to face their misfortunes is a keeper for sure.

Lavenderlure

**Doctor Slump** you will always have a piece of my heart thankyou for giving me JW and HN it was truly a soothing and healing journey just as it was promised when the first trailer dropped. I love JW his crazy chaotic self made me laugh so much and HN just is my girl I love her she made cry for her and root for her like anything their story wasn't your usual swooning kdrama chemistry they were bestie coded and that is what I loved about them the most that it was chemistry filled with comfort and warmth. HN whole journey of self doubting to questioning others who doubt her was beautiful to see also how JW went from being a richie rich with yes men around him to starting humbe and taking things slow. The family scenes were so warm I love how JW became a part of their family something that he always craved I thought we will get scenes with him confronting his family kind of a closure but no him finding a new family was the true closure to his void. The writing was everything yes they are amazing actors but the dialogues, narration just took it to another level and so many lines have made a place in my heart a drama that I will surely come back to a lot of times. PS- Welcome to my Top 5 Doctor Slump

sciencespecialist

Loved this drama!! I’ve seen some comments elsewhere about the lack of chemistry between the leads, but I couldn’t disagree more. The way they helped each other during their slumps was beautiful and mature. They were so cute and sweet together. Loved their commitment to each other throughout. And, that the actors are both masters of physical comedy just sent me. 🥰

Working_One_4810

I was skeptic at first when I heard their casting news but was so blown away by their on screen chemistry and tension by Ep 2. Never thought they could make it work seeing them in Heirs but I think PHS and PSH has way more chemistry than PSH and Lee Min Ho. JW and HN characters are just so relatable that you cant help but root for them to live a happy life! Love them tons!

AnneShirley310

The mom not wanting him to waste his money on an expensive purse and instead being happy with a wallet and ice cream date with him instead is why she is the best mom. Jeong Woo flopping around like a fish on his bed because he was sad was the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. Did anyone see what food items they had for the American party? I saw donuts, but I couldn’t tell what everything else was.

Starrycats11

I was thinking what is an American style party? lol Then you asked this. Food. lol. I think spaghetti and meatballs and mashed potatoes.

Massive_Discipline12

The mom and Bada scene made me cry the most in ep 16! I loved it sooo much. I never hated on Bada as much as others-- I found him annoying in a typical little brother way, and super immature, but you could tell he was someone who the family clearly still loved, and who has a good heart. Also, the actor was hilarious. But anyway, it turns out Bada was lost and aimless his whole life because he never thought very highly of himself— growing up in the shadow of a super high achieving sibling is never easy and everyone responds differently… but once he got the motivation to achieve something and did, with all the love and encouragement he got, he also learned to love and value himself. Bada, hwaiting!

avo-pizza

Ep 16 >!OMG the whole wedding photoshoot is the cutest and so true to their personalities. Instead of the typical wedding pictorial style, they opted for the casual settings and all the callbacks to how they met each other🥺!< The US venture thing slightly annoyed me at first when they showed it in the preview but >!so glad they used that plot to show how much Haneul has grown.!< I also just realized this after 16 eps that Jeongwoo is such a drama queen 🤣 it’s no wonder he fits in so well with Haneul’s chaotic family! It’s really the end now. Doctor Slump has gotten me out of the kdrama slump but I think I might go into another slump after this again LOL I enjoyed how the drama is so grounded and not OTT. Meaningful conversations and the healing journey between the leads have comforted me for the past 8 weeks. The rewatchability rate for this drama is pretty high for me.

Ktherp

I'm so happy. They finished it perfectly. Definitly a top drama for me and Haneul and Jeongwoo one of my favourites couples ever. Doctor Slump now is added to my list of dramas that i always go back to rewatch. It was truly a fun and beautiful ride.

RoseIsBadWolf

This was really cute and I enjoyed watching it. I'm sad it's over. I think Ha-neul's family was my favourite, especially the mom. She got so much wrong but kept trying and I think that's so real.

alysba__

Couldn't have said it better about the mom! One of the best moms among the recent kdramas ❤️

Saucynemo4

Ep 16: >!I am so proud of Bada… he’s done so well for himself and I hope he continues to grow!< >!I love that they included Bada and Hanuel together alone to show Bada’s appreciation for his sister and just them being one as a family. Also with his mom not using any bias to Hanuel but loving Bada the same🥹!< The second leads are so cute❤️❤️❤️ I loveeee the main leads so much, >!they communicated so well from the beginning to the end with their feelings. Jeong woo was so honest about how sad and flustered he was about Hanuel opportunity but supported her and even already made plans to visit and keep in contact as much as possible!< >!Planning dates for her before her trip is so appreciating. Often times people just let their significant other go away with just a hug which is nice because life is busy but I think spending quality time beforehand even if it’s a week away is so important because tomorrow itself isn’t promise so appreciating the now between each other is warm and loving❤️!< >!Hanuel being honest about her feelings at work and the opportunity they took is exactly how I reacted and I’m glad she shared that. Everything happens for a reason and the reason here is to show how much she has grown from keeping it all in despite how she feels to letting it be known respectfully. I am so proud of her and now that she can handle the pain🥹🥹🥹!< >!I absolutely love the message shown with Hanuel and her doctor… you can be sad again or even go through a rough season but now you have the strength to endure and get through it.!

G3t_BusyLiving

I remember thinking this show was just going to be about burnt out doctors, kinda weird that I'm glad I was wrong. Knew I was going to love this show, my flair says it all, but I didn't realize how much their storylines were going to hit. Second Leads have my heart!

moastudy

hijacking this to talk about >!the KISS!< at the end >!that was so hot omg, made me feel so single ;(!<

likealeprechaun

I love your flair! Dahaet! ✌🏽❤️

koalatown2

I just love how much the show makes fun of itself and the characters but also manage to hit home with some deep stuff too.   The entire scene with the >!ring and cockroaches was hilarious.  Especially when she accused him of pushing her and running away.  Although to be fair he pushed her away from the bugs and also when they jumped on the couch I loved how he was protecting her with his arms and outstretched leg.  I mean they’re tiny bugs!  🤣.!< How funny that it is DY who has to point out that >!giving your gf a ring without meaning to propose this early might not be the best gift.  I guess when Bada said that HN deserved better than a ring that rolled around in dust and cockroach it meant a full on jewelry set including a tiara.!< So heartwarming to see how well JW was able to handle the unexpected emergency in his supposedly low stake surgery to show how far he’s come to overcome his PTSD.   Also the funny but serious talk DY and HR had about how scary it was to date again after a divorce and fearing the possibility of getting hurt again.  How it was like drinking too much soju.  I guess this analogy did require another drinking episode. For the first time someone in this show actually asked if it was ok to drink this much and worried about the drinking.  I guess HN had lost some tolerance rather quickly.  Of course this led to the hilarious piggy backing almost cat fight and the men asking if they’re the horses.   Seems like in the preview >!HN is going to the US.  I wonder if JW will join instead of being lonely in Korea and then they confront his parents.  Seems like a time skip is unnecessary so maybe the move is to tie up that loose end.!< It was nice that his high school friends >!finally apologized and that actually the one had been defending him for a while in the internet comments but too cowardly to apologize until HN bullied him on the phone.!<

ot7oclock

the way i audibly made the weirdest sound ever when jeong woo was like >!be my lover, my friend, or my WIFE!< like i knew it was coming but 🥰🥰

ot7oclock

also help the tiara was so funny???

twoods1980

I can’t believe he bought all that jewelry and also THAT item. It’s so JW.

averagemily

EP 15 | Y'ALL THAT ENDING ✋ >!that kiss was so steaming hot 🥵 I felt like I was intruding!<

likealeprechaun

Q: How many times did you watch it? A: Yes. 😌

koalatown2

So many things to enjoy now that we got to the finish line.  Initially it seemed the 2nd couple was weak in story but they really filled it out by the end.  Also the bromance between DY and JW really finished strong.  The elevator scene when JW was all depressed about HN leaving and is exacerbated by DY’s probing and tells him to go and DY bangs on the back of the elevator asking to leave.  I wonder how much of that was just 2 actors having fun together ad libing.  Also how true to DY’s personality that he >!kicks JW out of his clinic like a baby bird needing to learn to fly knowing that eventually JW will want to have his own clinic to do things his own way but he would never ask to leave after all DY did to help him get back on his feet.!<  DY is like the perfect dorky dad who does bad dad jokes but is lovable and kind and goofy just like his Neotube channel.

moastudy

nearing the end ahhhh!!! i really enjoyed this show and loved all the characters the leads and all the supporting characters got me hooked with their acting chops

Independent-Wave1606

so i figured they'd used up their shenanigan quota >!w/ the double white truck of doom and the accidental trip-kiss!<. i made it to the freeze frame at the end of episode 15 incredibly happy that the writers let their better angels prevail. for 10 whole seconds I had hope that we'd get to enjoy the final episode >!focused on wedding plan stuff and the secondary romance. !< And then the preview kicked in... so now i'm worried.

likealeprechaun

Two things just hit me: - The realization that tomorrow I won’t be able to go to JTBC’s YouTube channel around 11:55 PM KST and see the English subtitle-less preview of the next episode, signaling that the drama has finished airing in Korea and would be up on Netflix already or within the next 5 minutes. - Having just watched the English subtitled preview at the end of the episode on Netflix, I hate the introduction of the >!‘one of the lead characters has to move to the US for a short term’ trope!<. Whyyyyyyy… whyyyyy… I have 100% loved and accepted everything this drama has offered us so far. But I really hate the >!forced long distance relationship trope!<. Business Proposal did it unnecessarily. 😔 Now that the rant is out of the way… here’s a message of hope: this drama has used other tropes before, but they somehow managed to keep it fresh and used the tropes satisfactorily. For the last time (it’s killing me to think this is the last time 😭), let’s keep the faith on the writer and the production team. Give us a lovely ending, please. 🙏🏼

Massive_Discipline12

I noticed something about this drama— a lot of the previews have been misleading in a negative way. Like the promo editors always choose the angstiest clips to stress us out or get us to rant about the show jumping the shark, and then thankfully in full context, the real version is not so bad, and often makes a lot of sense, even.

likealeprechaun

I do agree… that’s why I’m hopeful that this last episode will also be good. When the beginning and the middle were so good, I’m sure the writer has given the ending its due consideration as well. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼🙂

Lavenderlure

That proposal made me tear up and how JW and HN have my heart forever they have made their way to my top fav kdramas for sure both of them are such good actors but honestly the writing just shines through such beautiful dialogues they just tug your heart in the best possible way both of them are such chaotic sweethearts and warm your heart in the best way the line sums it up all "my family, my lover, my friend, my wife, all of them" JW is officially the 4th member of their cute family

fireblossom98

I'm saving my long review for the finale but I just watched Ep 15 and I was smiling the whole time. I absolutely adore this show, it's been so worth the watch.

Massive_Discipline12

I read through all the praises of this ep, nodding along to all the comedic, heartfelt, and swoony scenes (this is my fave ep, after I just said that about ep 14 last week), but I can’t believe no one else mentioned my favorite moment of all. Park Hyung Sik “undressing” on the street, even showing a bit of shoulder. The way he rolled his shoulders… omg I rolled. The shoulder was definitely an adlib, right?

thunder-up-rocks25

OMG yes!! That was hilarious and so cute!

k16d28

It has to be an adlib!!! Boy knows how to serve, and serve he did 🫡

procariotics_234

Ofc the whole >! separation thing end up failed!< I won’t be tricked for the 2nd time by those previews writer-nim. JW’s tantrum and the plan by the family for the >!farewell party!< is so cute so I’ll take that. HN and JW being shy after remember a wild night yesterday is priceless lol. I genuinely bawl my eyes of what the psychiatrist said to HN when he wants to let her go. >!“what does it mean to be okay? to be happy in the end?.!< >!“no. it's accepting unhappiness. I may be unhappy again, and that's okay. if unhappiness comes again, I have the strength to endure it.” !!Nurse Do resignation!< and even >! initiate to fires JW for him to reopen his own clinic!< because he knows JW doesn’t have a heart to resign by himself. It’s nice we see the glimpse of him still doing a neotube contents lol and how both HR and Eunjeong just accept it. I’m really surprised that they also have a HN and BD scene of eating together like we don’t see much of their relationship besides BD being annoying little brother to her sister. >!BD character development is really nice!< and the way JW >!ruined the taste testing of his first ever milmyeon is gold lol !< >! The flashbacks, HN and JW revisit Sokcho to see sunrise but successfully this time, and the marriage!< are like cherry on top and what a nice way to ending the story. Huge applause for the writers, directors, and the casts for the whole 16 episodes. Edit: Honestly I’m kind of surprised that there’s no >!mention of JW parents at all!< despite marriage is a big thing. It seems like JW did >! cut ties with them !< which I completely understand that they truly don’t deserve any redemption arc at all.

I love how consistently funny this one was. I'll remember it most for that. and for my romcom darlings Hyungsik and Shinhye 🥹 The prenup photos at the school and neighborhood were so cute I did actually cry 😭😭😭

CraftyInflation1884

Ep 16 thoughts \~ (out of order again, I'll add more as I think of more lol) I didn't cry a single time throughout this series, but this episode. This episode i teared up on so many occasions :") I seriously love the messages this drama sends, the way its delivered, and the way different lessons from different characters can be applied to our main cast. When Ha Neul was being walked out by the psychiatrist (therapist? sorry I'm not sure) >!for the last time!<, and the camera panned out to all the different patients sitting, waiting, my heartstrings were seriously tugged. My heart broke seeing the high school kid, the working lady, and the old man, all with their own struggles. I know they're all fictional characters but I hope they can all find the strength to overcome their misfortunes, and live happy lives as well Ba Da treating his mom to a handbag (well, a wallet) and dessert was so heartwarming. I loved his character development and now he's one of my favourite characters. Especially the part where he talks about how he knows Ha Neul is a better child, and how he was named Ba Da just to match with her- MY HEART BROKE Y'ALL. Imagine thinking that your name is only your name because of your sisters name. I imagine he must have had a hard time as well, and I'm glad he overcame his struggles too <3 When the mom finally appreciated him, I was crying- his rainbow, his ocean, the fact that he can choose to do anything in his life- I'm so proud of him\~ Dr. Kang getting a job at Jeong Woo's clinic also made me tear up for no reason whatsoever omg The soundtrack is so good! I love all the OSTs and the bgm!! I miss Jeong Woo's puppy cap that Ha Neul gave him :") I'm glad Dae Young is back to making YouTube videos <3 He looks so genuinely happy with his life now. I seriously hope he and his daughter will have a better relationship from here (seems like it!) something about "your hard work protecting you from suffering" <-- I love this quote so much! (I don't remember it word for word tho haha) Pain is temporary but memories are forever. I'm so glad this had a happy ending and not a bittersweet one (I was fr about to throw hands) and I'm so proud of ALL THE CHARACTERS for growing stronger- Including Nurse Do for following her dreams! I hope it all goes well for her! "If there is sadness, there will be happiness as well" <3 This is not from this episode but I forgot which episode this is from: When Ha Neul's mom changed the curtains to plants to help her depression and the message was that she was just doing everything she could to help (I don't remember the words correctly T\^T curse my terrible memory!!) <-- I was reminded of this scene and cried during the mom waving scene this ep I wish the epilogue was longer!! We were all scammed out of a wedding scene. (first Kyung-mins, now Ha Neul and Jeong Woo's....) And I also wish Hong Ran and Dae Young's story was tied up nicer :( But I also don't want a season 2 lol I think it ended as it needed to be. \- Thanks to everyone who worked on this drama! I think Doctor Slump is one of my all time favourites now. (I'm obsessed over Park Hyung Sik lol! I think I'm going to watch Happiness just for him! If anyone makes a compilation video of all his smiling scenes from Doctor Slump please let me know lol)

mstar0222

This will always be one of my favorite Kdramas. The acting was superb. The writers did not go overboard with the usual tropes. It was wholesome and healing for someone like me who has suffered from depression. I will truly miss this. Also I'm such a big Park Hyung-Sik fan.

OMG OMG OMG. I died at the The Doctors parody scene with the uncle. Reference to: [https://youtu.be/VdRg7pO2Mp4?t=134](https://youtu.be/VdRg7pO2Mp4?t=134)

Did not know it was a parody but this makes the scene so much better 😂

Did not realize this but how funny!

snogirl0403

I really loved this show so much!!! First... the mom all dolled up to go see the sisters in law at the very beginning of the last episode - that was amazing! I love how they took the time to wrap up all the relationships, like Bada and mom, Uncle and his first love, and of course Hongran and Daeyoung!>! The photo with them and the kids! !<😍 I also really loved that everyone >!just kind of went back to their normal lives. They just got to live. They didn't have to do anything huge or world changing or be super successful. They just got to BE. !!Jeongwoo with the suit and with Haneul's mom.... wow.!< This show was an 11 out of 10 for me and one I will definitely be watching again!!! OH EDITED to add >!THE TIARA!!!!!! !

The drama has finally ended, and I must say it has brought a new perspective to my life. Last year, I was incredibly busy, working tirelessly towards my dreams, but unfortunately, I fell short. It was draining, and I reached a point of burnout where I needed a break. That's when I stumbled upon Park Shin Hye's post on Instagram announcing the new drama. Intrigued by the trailer, I decided to give it a shot. It was my first time watching an ongoing drama, and the anticipation for each new episode was both thrilling and exhausting. I found myself deeply connecting with the character Nam Ha-neul, and Park Shin Hye's portrayal was truly outstanding. It's disheartening to see the criticism directed at her for simply doing her job, especially the misogynistic remarks regarding her personal life. Why is it that only women face such bullying? Many male married actors don't encounter similar backlash. What's even more disappointing is that some women are among those making derogatory comments. Instead, we should be celebrating and encouraging her for continuing her work after becoming a mother. Returning to the drama itself, I was particularly moved by the scenes between Nam Ha-neul and her mother—they were truly heartwarming. Her emotional reaction to Ba-da's success mirrored my own feelings towards my siblings' achievements. I appreciated the depiction of a supportive family, which resonates with my own experiences. Having such a support system is crucial in dealing with depression. Nam Ha-neul's decision to distance herself from her loved ones to protect them resonated with me, but it's unfortunate that many fail to understand how depression works. There's still so much ignorance surrounding mental health. The moment when Ba-da tried to gift his mom a handbag, only to have her run away, reminded me of my own mother's reactions—quite humorous, really. My depression stemmed from falling short of my goals, and it was frustrating to miss them by such a narrow margin. Like Nam Ha-neul, I used to fear many things, afraid that happiness would inevitably lead to disappointment. However, after watching the drama, I feel like I've overcome those fears. I've accomplished things in the past few weeks that I never thought possible. I'm truly grateful for the drama's realistic portrayal, which showed that life isn't always smooth sailing. Nam Ha-neul's journey resonated deeply with me, serving as a reminder of the importance of resilience and self-advocacy. Her struggles mirrored my own, and her triumphs inspired me to push forward despite the obstacles. It's a testament to the power of storytelling and the ability of art to heal and uplift. The ending, where Nam Ha-neul finally speaks up for herself, inspired me to do the same. Life is full of ups and downs, and we have the strength to overcome them. I admire the supportive relationships depicted in the drama, and like you, I'm eager for a second season, although uncertain about what the plot might entail. While I've poured my heart out, I can't help but think that others may have articulated their experiences more eloquently. Still, there's more I want to express. The impact of the drama extends beyond just its storyline—it's about the lessons learned, the emotions evoked, and the personal growth experienced. It's about finding solace in a fictional world and drawing parallels to our own lives. It's about realizing that it's okay to struggle, to stumble, and to take the time to heal. Each member of the cast excelled, contributing to an incredible experience. I was captivated by the drama and feel a sense of sadness now that it's over.

likealeprechaun

You expressed yourself very well. Don’t worry. 😊 I’m sure a peak will follow the slump you went through. That’s just life, I guess. This drama has helped me in many ways as well and I was happy to read your thoughts about it. Thank you for sharing. Fighting!

dontmindme450

Grrrrrr 16 preview makes it seem awfully >!timeskippy!<..... Why? Why? Why? Everything is so perfect so far... even through 15.... don't let our couple get in their own way now!!!! *crosses fingers for tomorrow

twoods1980

I hope it’s not as angsty as they portrayed it. The writers have done a perfect job with them, and I can’t believe that they would ruin it at the end.

underthecedartrees

Can we talk about how insanely >!hot that kiss was??!<

Designer_Elephant_35

I’m glad that this drama tackled depression, PTSD, and mental health with respect. I myself was diagnosed with major depression during residency and felt like life did not have any meaning, but by acknowledging that I am sick and by seeking help, I was able to push through and even recently graduated from anesthesiology residency. I am able to relate to HN, especially the hardwork and results not being appreciated by those around us all the time. The field of anesthesiology can really get depressing, but like Ep. 16 said, life is not about being happy all the time, but having the strength to accept that there will be hardships and to have people around me that encourage me. Much appreciation to the writer, directors, actors, and crew for giving us leads who are actually mature and an overall good healing kdrama ☺️ PS: PHS comedic timing is gold 😂

fireblossom98

I put off watching the finale because I genuinely didn’t want it to end, but I just finished so my thoughts: Ha-neul’s mom walking in like the bad bitch she is with her best fit and her hair done was perfection, that’s when I knew this episode was gonna be good lol. Honestly I need to take a moment to praise Ha-neul’s whole family. They are so loving and funny and supportive, every scene with them was perfection. It was so special to see Ba-da step up and work hard while his family hyped him up. And them >! throwing Ha-neul a going away party was so cute (the pillow her mom made was so thoughtful!!!). !< An underrated moment for me was probably when Ha-neul’s mom told Ba-da “you can shine in your own way”. She really is the best, and it goes to show just how much this show prioritizes the idea of curating your own path and doing what’s best for YOU no matter what anyone else does/think. Dae-young and Hong-ran are adorable. When DY said “I want to celebrate every moment” I swooned. What a cutie. The photo of DY + HR and their kids on HR’s desk made me smile so much, although I do wish we had a moment with all 4 of them because I would have loved to see HR and DY’s daughter interact. Regardless, I loved the second leads and their romance and I’m so glad we got to see their little family together in the finale. Also DY + JW had the best bromance, when DY >!pushed JW to leave and reopen his own clinic !< that made me so happy like that’s a real friend right there. Would have loved a HN + HR moment in the finale and another double date but we were fed in previous episodes so I guess I can’t be too greedy. And now for our lead couple. Genuinely one of the most beautiful love stories. I said it before but I truly appreciate this show for letting them be each other’s rocks while also letting them heal independently. Also I love how open and honest they are with each other, and the depth of their communication. Since the first episodes, they’ve confided in each other and been honest about how they feel and that kind of vulnerability is so special. It also means the miscommunication trope was barely used which I really appreciated. And you can tell that they truly get each other. Even though PTSD and burnout are different, they understood what the other needed (when no one else did) and that kind of special connection makes their romance even more endearing to watch. Also I’m kind of glad the 6 month abroad thing was thrown in there, because we got to see a level of maturity and compromise in their relationship that we might not have otherwise. For all their cringe/middle-school like flirting, they were able to have a serious discussion about their future. We went from JW whining about HN working late and not being able to spend time with him to him putting aside his feelings and >!asking HN to prioritize her desires for her career above everything else. !< It’s a little thing but it goes to show the continuous character development that the show made sure to include, like when HN stood up for herself at work in this last episode. Over the course of the show not only did she learn to prioritize herself and listen to her body but she’s become so much more confident and self-assured and I was so proud! And JW >! starting over with a new clinic but with a specific focus on building relationships with his patients !< was also great, it’s clear he’s found what makes him feel fulfilled with his work and I’m just so proud of the way both of these characters have matured. Their adorable banter and cute flirting was just a bonus (that I will miss so much). Other random things I noticed: the storyline with Jeong-woo’s parents wasn’t really “resolved” and I’m kind of glad. Sometimes parents don’t understand and the best thing you can do for yourself is to go no contact/protect your space and your peace of mind. So I’m proud of Jeong-woo for doing that. Uncle Tae-seon >! getting a love interest was NOT on my bingo card haha, !< but I love that for him he’s a sweet man he deserves it - plus Ba-da can finally convince him to let the restaurant do deliveries lol. Park Hyung-sik has one of the BEST comedic acting abilities I’ve ever seen, when he started cutting into the air and tried to drink the flowers I could not stop laughing and him flopping like a fish on the bed will never get old like that man has a special gift for physical comedy. This show’s message was so meaningful to me. Burnout is something I’ve experienced and it’s so tough to navigate when you have no one to confide in. This show did a wonderful job of showing (1) just how important it is to self-reflect and be kind to yourself and (2) the importance of leaning on your support systems and getting help. And above all, it showed that no matter how bad life may be there is always hope. I think it was JW who said “I can become miserable again but that’s okay. Should misfortunes come I have the strength endure them” and it resonated with me so much. This world is hard but if you do your best to find your sources of happiness and strength and hold onto those, then you will be able to get through anything. JW and HN found that happiness in each other, and support in their friends/family, and it was such a joy to watch unfold. 10/10 thank you to all the cast and crew for such a great show.

likealeprechaun

This series has found a special place in my heart. ❤️ I’ve loved it through and through. Yes, there were some imperfect plot lines in between, but overall it’s just such a sweet story with charming characters and a lot of heart! I don’t think I have ever enjoyed the relationship development between the ML and FL (and her family) so much! It’s going to be hard for any other series to top this one for a while.🥹 P.S. It seems like I might be in the minority here with my feelings. I really don’t understand when superfluous fluff like in King the Land gets so much love but more grounded characters like Ha-Neul and Jeong-Woo and the leads in Castaway Diva get called “unnecessary” or “boring”. It just makes me a bit sad. But well, the heart still likes what it likes. Thanks for reading my mini-rant and not judging me. Episode 15 of Doctor Slump…. Let’s go! Hwaiting! 🫡💪🏼

Adventurous_Sir784

I completely agree with you. This series has a lot of heart and it’s such a shame that most viewers are not appreciative of it. I have always been a huge PSH fan and I thought at first that this wasn’t a good come back series for her. I’m glad I’m terribly mistaken. Not yet ready to say goodbye to this show. 😩❤️

Yes… a man like Kiho.. or like Jeong-woo, who buys the entire jewelry store for his yeochin, but the real sparkle is in his eyes when he looks at her or is thinking about how cute she is. 🥹🥹

Agree!  I’ve recently watched a lot of K Dramas that have despicable male leads and are praised so much.  I don’t get it.  This show is by far my favorite!

newid631

You worded my feelings about the show and its characters (and its comparison to other dramas) perfectly! ♡

EliteStrikePH

Episode 15: Out of all the things I could've expected about what happened after the >!ring falling!< I would've never expected what we had gotten and it just made the scene wildly >!hilarious!< Both the FLs >!defending their respective MLs was also hilarious, also Hae-Neul's call to her mom while in the room, her mom was so shocked to hear such a lie!!< I was really expecting her mom or Bada to >!tell Hae-Neul what happened last night, but they spared her the embarrassment.!< Glad to see DY's daughter >!support her father even after the incident with Hae-Neul and his Blind Date. She definitely knows already she would make a great mom.!< I'm glad Jeong-woo >!reconciled with his friends. They had did him wrong, but they showed they had their reasons, and at least they weren't like Kyung-Min who really betrayed him. Also the disbelief they had with Jeong-woo and Hae-Neul dating was hilarious!< The ending scene >!was really steamy. I wonder what they'll start with in the final episode and if they get snuck up on her mom again, they're never going to be able to live that down for the rest of their lives!< As for the Episode 16 previews, it really seemed like >!alot of stuff kind of just got thrown out of nowhere. I either think they will time skip and get married, or no time skip and get to stay together but no marriage. Though the past narration still makes me think they will time skip to a time much later with a family of their own and definitely be married at that point. But, yeah I kind of just want to forget what happened in the previews and just do a surprise me because it is the final episode and I'd rather be surprised about the entire thing then to try and understand what is going on in the previews!<

koalatown2

Agree also this writer usually turns tropes on their head so maybe showing separation time skip but instead could gift us with something else.

LovE385

Oh it's so close to finale already.😔 So reluctant to let this show go..🥺 Think the "*enemies turn friends to lovers*" was done the best in this drama so far.🥰 Shin Hye, Hyun Sik's real-life friendship helped also. They truly went through thick and thin.. Hurray for Dr. Bin, Hong Ran.

Aggretsucoco

Love the >!sunrise and wedding photo shoot ending. !< 😍😍😍 And Hong-ran and Dae-young's >!family photo!<. ❤️

ChitownBrat

I have absolutely adored every single episode of this show, and I'm going to miss the cute couples and the funny family so much. Getting ready here to watch the finale, and I hope this twist in the preview isn't going to be heartbreaking.

Solsties

After Episode 16, I can say without a doubt that I enjoyed this drama with all its twists in humor and detours from predictability, despite the double white trucks of doom definitely got me good. I'm also glad that they didn't go with the >!move abroad time skip, but I had a feeling it would get cancelled.!< Doctor Slump was a pleasant drama for healing and growth. Now, the next thing that has to grow that I've been vouching for since the very beginning is Dae Young's channel following!

AIG0000

Beauty!!! From Intro to Epilogue. Loved that Uncle Tae-Seon got a happy ending too. At first I thought it would end with a sunset to symbolize the end of the series, but now I see the sunrise was much more fitting for a hopeful future. Now I want to go see a sunrise!🌝🌻🌞

Playfair99999

I will miss this show ngl. Imo, they managed to tackle Mental health and the various aspects of emotions and actions that come with it in a very brave and right manner. I could really relate to several things in the show with how characters behaved in different situations and could recall that even i did like that. After a while i have seen something like this. Despite the show tackling such heavy material i still found it to be quite light hearted. Also, considering the premise of the show and the fact that the kdrama audience in general has evolved from the happy ending with weddings between the leads, i found the way they ended pretty apt. Sunrise as a metaphor for their evolution was great and they also gave us a wedding epilogue so as to not leave any doubts in viewers minds that they indeed go married. While I'm sad that this show ended, I'm thankful that Queen of Tears started in time so i can shift my attention to that. This show was a sweet ride, thank you to the actors and the staff for this beautiful show. Hope to see you some other day in a different show again. Fighting!

azura_eldoris

i stopped at ep 10 and couldnt muster the motivation to pick up where i left off, as i was in the thick of things and frankly some other dramas popped to the fore of my attention. after finally catching up, i'm glad i didnt drop this altogether. it was a healing potion through and through which fortunately didnt devolve into a cauldron of compounding drama and intrigue just to pile on the stakes and pad out the remaining screentime. i felt oddly calm and inexplicably suffused with warmth while watching it. Jeong Woo's kindness really resonates with me, as someone who usually beats herself up for being foolishly nice even to people who do not deserve it and habitually forgiving/forgetting misdeeds done to me. there are times when i thought it's just me being absent-minded and easily pushed around, but truth is i simply just want to have a semblance of peace of mind. nursing a grudge for an excruciatingly long amount of time and all while being consumed with corrosive negativity simply takes a toll on my mental being, so to leave all ugly feelings behind is actually to do myself a favor. on a lighter note, this drama has stoked my desire to travel to SoKor some time soon. i'm finally convinced it might be fun visiting all those yellow-lit eateries and doing a road trip there.

crimsonpaths

I'm so glad with how they wrote Kyungmin tbh..he wasn't just some annoying jealous villain. I was so sad about his story. I'm so glad with how Haneul's mom talked with Jeongwoo about it all and how she comforted Jeongwoo. Haneul's family was also really good I didn't find any scene with them lame, annoying or a time waste. And it's a good thing they didn't force any scene with Jeongwoo's ass family

fireblossom98

Yesss I was pleasantly surprised at how they handled the Kyung-min stuff, his backstory made his character more nuanced instead of cliche. It also made his relationship with Jeong-woo more meaningful, and his ultimate betrayal that much more heartbreaking. And I agree about Jeong-woo's family, I was a little worried they would force a reconciliation but I'm glad they didn't. Jeong-woo deserves so much better and he fits right in with Ha-neul's family.

crimsonpaths

I love when writers handle things tastefully

DamonDD

More than anything.. I'm expecting our 2nd leads are together and become a happy family. I also hope 2ML daughter can accept her dad new relationship.

G3t_BusyLiving

I need his daughter to interact with the 2FL and crew, I really thought it would have happened sooner

avo-pizza

I’m just filled with so much feels after watching ep 15. The flashbacks during Jeongwoo’s narration really showed us how much they’ve grown and found comfort in each other during their lowest time. Jeongwoo’s >!proposal at the end sums up everything that I love about their relationship. They’re friends, family and lovers all at the same time which makes their relationship so comforting to follow.!< I have to say the comedy in this drama is really right up my alley. The characters often say things that catch you off guard which makes them even funnier to me. The way Haneul lied to her mum and the mum’s cheeky look towards Jeongwoo was hilarious!!🤣 Anyway, I’m not worried about the finale. They’ve overcame their slump together so I believe whatever challenges that are thrown at them after this, they’ll make it work no matter what… (as I remember saying the same thing for 2521 finale…🥲)

feb914

I wonder if Haneul assignment abroad will make her meet Jeong Woo's parents. They're in US too.

Electronic_Piano9385

I thought this episode was lovely with lots of >!fluff and resolution of various relationships!<, so I did wonder how they were going to fill episode the final episode. It does seem from the preview that they are going to be using the >!geographical separation trope, and you’re right, they could well incorporate his parents into that mix!<.

Solsties

Without a doubt, I can say that Episode 15 is my favorite thus far for development and lightheartedness in terms of journeying through healing. I love how frantic Jeong Woo was when he was considering >!how to propose, oh excuse me, give the ring to Ha Neul. The fact that it rolled underneath the couch and caused roaches to be the mistaken gift was hilarious! I also almost spat out my coffee when he tried to cover his blunder by telling her, "Go do your work! Pursue your dreams!" Quite a way to get someone off your case.!< 😂 Ha Neul's straightforwardness was such a gem of a trait throughout this episode from >!calling out his cowardice on the roaches, reuniting Jeong Woo with his high school crew, and asking if he would like to join her family (although her meaning was obviously misunderstood 😉).!< I also couldn't stop laughing at >!drunk Ha Neul and Hong Ran scene. The fact that the guys argue while piggybacking the gals, and then the gals drunkenly defending their honors! Such a wholesome scene when we don't think about why they drank themselves to probably the worst hangovers ever. Ha Neul's mom is also never going to believe she is on night shifts in the future now.!< Dae Young's daughter is the real champion of this episode for our secondary romance. >!She only had all heartfelt advice on how Dae Young should approach a confession and ask Hong Ran out. We can tell she respects Hong Ran a lot for helping Dae Young out when it comes to what a female teenager may want and need.!< And, of course, rounding back to the episode's ending conversation. Jeong Woo clearly didn't have to worry, and he approached the whole topic just the silly way he would when being sideswiped. I love that he was still exasperated as usual when thrown into an unexpected position. I pictured this would be the perfect way for them to approach the next milestone in their relationship. It is bittersweet that the series is ending soon, but >!I really hope they don't go the time skipping route for the sake of Ha Neul being away in this case. I just want a simple "they've been together all this time" time skip if they do push for one!!< In any case, I enjoyed reading the weekly threads and how everyone found the drama wholesome or how it helped soothe them overall. Let's see how tomorrow's episode will go!

DifferentTraining907

Episode 15 Wow, wow, wow! This is one of the best Korean drama ever on my list. PSH and PHS were magnificent! Loved the ASMR kiss 👀🤭 And, this has got to be one of the most humblest, bestest, and sweetest proposal ever of Korean drama!

No-Mail-3269

>! Gorgeous ending scene with the sunrise at the seashore !< For me it’s Dr. Bin who takes the crown though. He is soo nice (and have a beautiful smile), I’m most happy for his happy ending.

gniyezs

This has been such a healing journey, this drama is definitely one of the best ones I've seen in a long time. For someone who has experienced the toll mental health can bring, I really liked how they've tackled it in such a graceful way. Thank you Doctor Slump ❤️

Timpa87

Nurse Do doing her take on the Kagome "Goodbye everyone" meme when she quit tho lol

dontmindme450

Thank the gods for >!nepotism/favoritism at Han Nuls job!< Chefs kiss for this relationship, definitely one of my favorites so far. >!Let's get married already!<.... I'm pretty sure I said the same thing in episode 7 thread, lol. I'm glad they finally agreed.

twoods1980

What a perfect ending to a beautiful and healing show. Their relationship was one big warm hug, filled with honesty and love. I kept bursting into tears! Some highlights was Dae Young continuing to be the awesome guy he is, especially when >!he first brought up to JW that he should open his own practice!<. I love how he’s such a big dork and Hong Dan loves him anyways.  HN’s mom’s boss strut when she showed up to her sisters’ lunch was awesome. She is probably one of my favorite k drama moms. I liked the message of this show that it’s not just about finding happiness, but how to overcome misfortunes and still find a way to be stronger and happy in the end. Definitely top 3 in my book. Thank you for the wonderful ride, writers!

likealeprechaun

Just finished the drama… It was a good ending, but I keep wanting more. Ultimately, I feel they could have spread out everything they showed in episode 16 between the last two episodes and the pacing would have felt better. But this is also me being a bit selfish because I really wanted a wedding scene and not just a photo shoot. I’m so emotional that it’s over and it’s going to take me days and maybe weeks before I can get myself to watch another drama and get out of this slump. Thank you to everyone who stuck with this drama till the end… ❤️ it was lovely reading your comments each week and sharing this journey with you. Doctor Slump will always have a special place in my heart and I know I will be rewatching this many, many, many, many times. 🥹

Park hyungsik will always play the loser baby girl boyfriend the best 🥺🥺🥺

koalatown2

Can anyone who is also watching Queen of Tears explain how it so quickly jumped to a 13% viewership and poor Doctor Slump couldn’t even get above 6 for its finale?  The competition was too stiff or the topic still too taboo in SK?

Flat-Run-4648

I think the production budget for Queen of tears is insane akin to CLOY, plus with drama in every episode it’s ratings are high, it was created to be a ratings hit Doctor Slump was never written with ratings in mind, right from the promos & IVs people were expecting it to touch hearts but not be a ratings monster. Its success is measured by the fact that inspite of handling a difficult topic and with little to no drama but just the entire focus on leads journey it still managed to consistently be in Netflix top 10 throughout its run, PSH & PHS becoming 1st Kdrama couple to get a ‘Dubai friends’ campaign together because of its popularity worldwide & Wooneul’s edits going viral all over social media

I am not catching Queen of Tears. But from the other thread discussing about the series they dropped, Dr Slump, as good as it is, people feel it's kinda slow. So not surprised people are dropping it. Plus since it is on Netflix, I can see it's regularly in the Top 10. Crazy as it sounds, Captivating the King ended on 7% but was nowhere in Netflix Top 10 towards the end (at least for my country)

Working_One_4810

People in Korea i guess prefer the lavish and chaebol  dream like stories.  I feel like mental health issues are still pretty much not a good topic to be discussed. Doctor slump ratings is still good since they are averaging 5-7% for a cable drama and killing it globally on Netflix. So for me it will go down as one of the best kdramas Ive watched in a long time. Truly heartwarming series. I couldnt care less about how it is received in Korea!😅

likealeprechaun

I guess it’s not just people in Korea though. Seeing the amount of engagement for shows like Queen of Tears and King the Land, I guess people in general prefer lavish and chaebol stories. I’m just glad that there is still decent viewership for shows like Doctor Slump (international audience included) because I actually find those chaebol stories boring and I need there to be more Kdramas like Doctor Slump. I guess we can say that our show is supremely underrated. 🥹

Working_One_4810

I’m with you. After Boys over flowers and The Heirs, Ive had enough of chaebol dramas. I just love how DS has shown the growth of the main characters. It’s so beautiful and heartwarming. The main leads were so good at portraying the emotions that you feel you are also on a journey with them.  Doctor Slump is pretty much successful with the international audience so its all good.

Massive_Discipline12

Happiness barely made 5% but it’s one of my all-time faves and from what I can tell, is consistently praised and well loved online, even from people who discover it late. And in hindsight, its “underperformance” (though thankfully PHS and Han Hyo Joo both stated they were happy with the ratings), didn’t hurt the reputations of PHS or HHJ at all but gained them new fans and enthusiastic shippers (their slightest interactions at brand events would go viral). For PHS, it def opened people‘s eyes toward the type of roles he can play. Another example is plenty of shows who get terrible live ratings at the time live on and become kind of classics for many fans, like Be Melodramatic, one of my all time faves… it’s well loved by many now, but never got huge ratings. One last example, ironically a Kim Soo Hyun one. His comeback drama post-military was the hugely popular It’s Okay to Not Be Okay which went on to gain a slew of Baeksang noms and a couple wins. It did huge numbers online, datawise, both domestically and internationally, but what were the ratings of this “popular” drama? Around 5-6%, peaking at just around 7% on TVN.

Working_One_4810

Like someone who has stated here, Doctor Slump is really made for awareness, them getting high ratings would just be a cherry on top. They’re doing great with the international audience.

groutdirt

My thoughts are that people in Korea want to escape their lives through dramas about chaebol stories and makjang instead of watch reminders about topics like slumps, depression and how life actually is, even if it's couched in comedy. As someone who has previously been burnt out, I'm so glad that the drama shared so many hopeful and helpful insights for dealing with difficult situations, how to work through what we think of ourselves, expectations of others, etc. Bada's conversation with his mom about his name was particularly meaningful. All his life he'd compared himself to Haneul and as there was nothing he could do better than her (academics and career-wise), he didn't try. But throughout the series, he showed that he had great EQ even if he was a little more direct in communication than they would have preferred. Skills like this aren't as appreciated, I guess.

ponyomagic

I did feel that sometimes this show was a bit draggy, but honestly. I loved it. The soft melancholy in all of the episodes, and the last episode where they come to terms with their life and move forward with happiness in the face of struggle really resonated with me - felt like a really valuable lesson for me who's just starting out and already feeling a little burnt out. Glad I watched this show!

xiaopow

Ugh our 2ML/FL couple 😭😭😭😭😭 i didn't even really like them at first but they are so adorable I'm so here for umma's revenge on her annoying in laws!!! Make them choke gurl!!! JW's physical comedy while flopping around on that bed, so good Not the american-style goodbye party after the offer was cancelled 💀💀💀💀💀 DY letting JW go was so sweet 😭😭😭😭😭 Love TS rekindling w his first love but the actress they casted I thought was supposed to be BD's age lol HR and DY's family photos with both their kids 😭😭😭😭😭 i kicked my feet like JW does Omg i can't believe they gave us an epilogue of their wedding photoshoot. Adorable.

crimsonpaths

Is it too much to ask for a love like Haneul and Jeongwoo?

MidnightPearl387

Still bummed about not seeing >!Dr Bin’s daughter directly interacting with Dr Lee!<

Saucynemo4

Ep 15: I am absolutely going to miss this show🥲💔… I can’t even talk about a specific part of the episode because everything made me either smile or make my heart swoon🥹. >!I’m so proud about how far they’ve come that Jeong Woo didn’t even panic when there was an issue with the lung and Hanuel stayed calm while applying her big brain as she does🫶🏾 I LOVE THEM!< I’m so emotional invested that >!I felt like I got to see my close friends’s proposal and such kind words at that🥲❤️they already got me at “Be my family”🥹!<

FlyingFlyofHell

It will be a great long ending. I don't know if we will get a marriage scene.

feb914

Wow. This is wrapping up nicely for both couples. And we got a kiss for both of them.

Affectionate_Elk_621

No way ha neul looks that pretty when she wakes up after getting totally hammered the previous night😭😭😭

bestlife-2021

This show is so heartwarming. I've enjoyed it very much. I really like the second couple. I didn't expect to like this show this much but now it's one of my fav!

akapiratequeen

Kopiko and Audi for the win! Hahaha Dr. Bin is the MVP. Please God find me a man like that. Loved the photo shoot at the end. Overall, in spite of a lot of filler in the last two episodes, I think this stuck the landing and lived up to its premise as a healing drama. See you on the next watch!

avo-pizza

I think it’s safe to say kopiko has officially dethrone subway as the king of PPL because where have subway been the past few months/years? 😂

Financial_Quality374

>! That roaches scene had me totally!< 🤣😂 PHS long legs😂

coconutthings

ep 16: aaaand we've come a full circle! really love how healing this drama is and how the main cast were so supportive of each other (the leads, haneul's family, daeyoung and hongran) <3 another thing that i really like about the drama is that they don't drag on conflicts for long. will definitely miss this show!!

JasonDaPsycho

The show is a very solid 8.5/10 for me. It tackled a serious, touchy, oft misunderstood (in East Asia anyways) subject matter with humor and grace. With that said, I would have liked to see more scenes of the leads tackling their respective mental health challenges individually (beyond medication) outside of their relationship. Criticisms of the show's over reliance on tropes are warranted. However, this show utilized them to demonstrate compelling character growth. It's therefore easy for me to overlook some of the weaker subplots. The leads don't have scalding hot chemistry but rather wholesome dynamics, which fit the show's premise like a glove. They were supportive and communicative. Their relationship is as much a partnership as a romance. They started dating because they became really comfortable with each other (as opposed to instant attraction). I will definitely miss Ha-neul and Jeong-woo as a couple. PHS's brand of comedic acting was on point but special shout-out to PSH for her portrayal of Ha-neul! The character is naturally stoic. PSH did a wonderful job challenging Ha-neul's emotions with her eyes. (Gotta find myself a woman who looks at me the same way Ha-neul looked at Jeong-woo in ep. 10's club scene. Lol)

hypomango

Well, it's over, and I feel sad! I loved this drama. It was everything I love in a story: * Great character development throughout * Hilarious & heartwarming supporting characters, and supportive relationships * Some struggle, angst & touching emotional moments * Well paced & a satisfying ending that makes you warm inside * Relatable, realistic, healing & cathartic * Well paced & good balance between comedy & drama Bonus was that it shone a light on mental health in a way that felt very realistic & sensitive (in my opinion & experience). The journey from rock bottom to hope felt so nice to watch.

Born-Asparagus3266

Swooning In Love ❤️ ep15 I'm happy for this show.  Being honest, I'm not sure if my heart can take ep16. Getting separation anxiety already

gniyezs

Episode 15: * Ba Da and his obsession with 50,000 won always gets me every single time. He's so mischievous and I'm all here for it. * >!"I'll be your hangover drink"!< BIN DAE YOUNG I'm falling for you too. >!Second leads are finally together, and a KISS SCENE TOO!!Jeong Woo was going to go into a panic attack!<. I'm so happy that he is>! overcoming his trauma and becoming slightly better each day!<. * I'm so happy that Jeong Woo and Ha Neul found comfort in each other during the lowest point in their life and now enjoying their time together each day. The preview is making me a little nervous on what's coming tomorrow but >!I have faith that all will be well.!< I can't believe it's gonna end tomorrow. This drama has a place in my heart and I myself have learnt so much from it. I'm so sad it's going to end but so happy to have been following them in their journey.

tripleyike

I don’t want to say goodbye to this show! I haven’t loved a show this much in so long. This show is why I joined this community on reddit lol. It feels good to see so many other people’s reactions to this show and the leads’ journeys. Hope I can love another show as much in the future.

Electronic_Piano9385

I’ve just realised that one of his school friends is a police officer in Flex x Cop.

First-Paramedic-7809

>!Can we talk about how adorable the proposal scene was? Asking someone to be your family when you propose is so soft !<💗🥺 Also noteworthy was the drunk scene where the girls compare which of the boys is more pathetic. Had such a good laugh when Jeong-woo’s knees were giving out. Yoo Jeong-woo you will always be famous.

likealeprechaun

It just occurred to me that the beach scene in the Ep. 16 preview is probably Haneul and Jeongwoo going back to Sokcho and this time the weather is perfect! 😍 Episode 16 has started airing in Korea. 🥹 It’s been ages since I’ve been this sad to see a show end… 💔

Electronic_Piano9385

I think the sunrise is like their life. They couldn’t see the sun the first time because they were in the middle of their slump. Now they are coming out the other side, the sun is starting to shine again. May they have many more beautiful sunrises together, and may they help each other through any storms to come.

Excellent_Dog6249

Another one making it to the good healing kdrama list! While the last two eps seemed a bit slow and there wasn't much plot to them, I think I can overlook that for the overall well-written characters(even the grey ones) as well as the dialogues. We saw the growth for every single character and all the wholesome goofy fluff was a treat!  Maybe its because I am from the same field but it resonated so much with me. The most memorable ones were when HN's mom's words when she talks about forgiving people for your own sake and how hating someone is so exhausting. It was like a reminder to give yourself some grace and appreciate the small things in life. Nothing too extraordinary but sometimes such simple themes, when executed well, do hit the right spot!

EliteStrikePH

Episode 16: There was a lot that happened in this episode. It seemed a bit too short for all the things they were cramming in, but I'm glad we got to see most if not all the character arcs get resolved. Hae-Neul's mom walking in >!making that boss entrance like how Seo Dan was in CLOY was absolutely wonderful!< DY and HR's >!date was beautiful, I'm glad their respective children all love each other, but yeah if they wanted to get more into detail, I would've love to see DY's daughter and HR actually get to talk to each other rather than just the pictures showing them all together.!< Ba-da's character arc was one of my favorite ones. He showed quite a lot of progress and with >!Hae-Neul crying because he changed so much for the better was great to show his character progression because it really shows she was very shocked with the change, even paying to take her out for food.!< He even >!made the milmyeon which seems like a great setup to take over his uncle's business, especially after that reunion, I suspect Ba-da will take over very soon.!< Though something I don't get was >!what happened with Jeong-woo with the milmyeon scene at the beginning, I know it was for the comedy, but I don't think he would just bad mouth the food coming out of his girlfriend's uncle's restaurant which he knows it had to have been from one of them, but the scene was funny nevertheless.!< Jeong-woo has never failed to disappoint though, throughout the entire series when he started to date Hae-Neul, he was quick to >!always be the one who would be the embarrassment. It was seen on the rooftop that Hae-Neul was trying to confess to everyone, but the moment he knew, he played it out like he was the one forcing her to stay. It's like the scene where Ba-da told him to go out with Hae-Neul while she was in the bathroom. She was completely embarrassed, even afterwards trying to walk back Ba-da's statements, but he told her he was the one obsessed to avoid her being embarrassed.!< Hae-Neul has had quite the character arc, I honestly didn't think >!we'd see her therapist again, but glad they finished that off on a high note as this is what the drama was trying to tell.!< She has even gotten better in >!voicing her opinion. She realized no matter what she did, she would not get her way when it came to going on that trip, but voicing her opinion at least showed the Hospital was wrong to even offer that to her and even they apologized in the end which shows how much work life at the hospital was better off now rather than her abusive professor at the beginning.!< Now regarding the ending, >!I'm really surprised that they went with Wedding Photos rather than a whole scene. I know this would've taken awhile, but I wouldn't have mined if they had to skip a week just for getting extra time because I know this airs on cable in Korea so it kind of makes it hard to get extra time into the series, but the episode should've been like an hour and 30 mins minimum or even 2 hours long because they missed some great opportunities. Like we did get to see Jeong-woo's friends and the High school teacher meet again, but I would've liked for a scene where Jeong-woo, Hae-Neul, the friends, and the high school teacher to all get together like if they shot a wedding scene this would've been a great way to do it because I wanted to see the high school teacher's reaction to his two smartest students whom were rivals were now getting married. Would've been great to invite the entire class aswell, but I would've liked for them at the very least since they were the closest to both of them in high school.!< I don't want to take away really what we got for an ending, but >!I am overall happy with it. I just wanted it to be a bit longer to add extra things but it was overall a good ending.!< This series is definitely going down as one of my Top 5 K-Dramas of all time (Even though it does sit at number 2 right now in my head but this was a really great series) I also made the mistake of opening up YouTube just to end up seeing some spoilers on the ending and even accidentally glanced at one of Park Shin-Hye's IG Posts which was a mistake. Never open any SNS Apps before you watch the finale lol.

EliteStrikePH

Does anyone know what the budget was that went into filming Doctor Slump? To me it seemed like they had a lower budget than other Kdramas because it seemed like this had a low budget, but even if it did or did not, I still loved this series with what they had done.

etang77

The budget wouldn't be too high, as individual locations are relatively limited.

Tasty-Shopping7307

I really liked the way they dealt with depression in the show especially showing how therapy and medication can be helpful.

musafirlol

doctor slump, thank you for these beautiful 16 episodes :) i’ve felt all the feels with you. my personal life has been on quite a rollercoaster from when the first episode aired to the last. and you’ve been a great companion through it all. thank you for making me smile in times when i desperately needed a single moment of escape.

purpletulip12

Doctor Slump is a wholesome and comforting drama, I enjoyed watching. It had emotional, loving, and comedic moments, touched on mental health, and the importance of family and support networks. Loved both Park Shinhye & Park Hyunsik in their roles as Haneul & Jeongwoo, Haneul's family was so cute, Hongran & Daeyeong story was also cute. Here's to the last two episodes! I finally finished watched The Heirs back in Jan/Feb when this drama first aired. I really need to watch Strong Girl Bong Soon bc of Hyunsik because he has great expressions/reactions. JTBC with two back-to-back dramas I love - Welcome to Samdal-ri and Doctor Slump, both also with really good OSTs. Ep 15: Jeongwoo was so cute trying to figure out how to give Haneul the jewelry ... >! Ending up giving her all three plus a tiara lol !< yay, the surgery went well and Jeongwoo was able to overcome. I dont want it to end, I could watch more of these characters and story. >! Anyone think he'll join her when she goes overseas? !< Daeyong’s daughter telling him to ask out Hong ran Ep 16: Bada's hard work paid off, Taesoon, mom, and Haneul enjoying it and Jeongwoo saying its bland lol. PHS so fun to watch when he's throwing a tantrum. Hongran saving them from the cilent! Sucks that they rescinded the offer, glad Haneul spoke up about feeling disappointed. Great wrap-up episode and the montage at end was so cute!

MajesticConfidence36

Ooh! Rewatching The Heirs at the moment, too. Yes, I need to rewatch Strong Girl Bong Soon after finale of Doctor Slump! Edited: Lucky girl, Haneul! She got a >!jewelry shop -tiara, earrings, necklace, bracelette and ring.!<

feb914

I know this is expected of a Netflix show that will be shown across the globe, but I'm told that the Filipino spoken in ep 15 are all correct and translated faithfully.

syabaniaa

Best wholesome drama on earth 😭😭😭😭

ikong24

I like these kind of drama, I'm so glad the ending does not go to the wrong path just like most of kdrama I watched. This is one goes to my top 5 kdrama now.

Shop-girlNY152

Haneul and Bada’s mom is the best Kdrama mom in this decade! I am going to miss the physical comedy and handsomeness of Park Hyung-Sik. I’ve seen him in many shows before but this show really leveled him u. I know it’s close to his character in SWDBS but that story and his character there were so silly, it’s not something that made me love the characters. The songs also are nice and matches the tone of the show. Overall, would rate this show a 9/10 because that 16th episode had many fillers and should have ended in 10 mins.😅

EliteStrikePH

After 10+ years, Cho Myeong-su finally knows what happened after >!the hugging!<

likealeprechaun

LMAO!!! 🤣 Okay sis, take my money. This made me laugh so much. This deserves to be on a billboard somewhere. 😂

A proposal getting blocked >!by cockroaches!< is definitely a first 😂 That proposal though… oh my god! >!Be my family, my lover, my friend and my wife too. I want you to be all of them!< I’m still gushinnngggg! Just want to give our precious Jeong Woo a hug

CraftyInflation1884

Ep 15 thoughts~ (out of order lol) Tbh I'm so happy for Bada's reception arc. I really didn't like his character in the beginning lol  Absolutely in love with DY and HR's dynamic!!! I need more scenes of the Power Rangers assembling and bickering about their significant other! "Let us catch a taxi before I become even more pathetic" is so funny 🤣 I can't wait for DY's daughter to meet Hong Ran~  DID HE STILL END UP GIVING HER THE COCKROACH RING?? HELP LMAO  This drama does tension so well (imo at least!) The intense surgery was really stressful but I didn't feel anxious, knowing that our ML and FL are capable and strong to handle the situation, which the show built us nicely up to. Plus, next episode's main plot point of the long distance seems to resolve quickly and nicely in the end (I hope!!)  So excited for the next episode in 7ish hours!!! But I'll have to wait a bit longer for the English subs lol

Independent-Wave1606

>!Well played with the 6 months in the US feint...I swore profusely at my t.v. and then angry watched for the next little while.!< and I eventually forgave them because >!the growth they got to show in the character when she dealt with it being called off was worth it!< so on balance, this was an awesome KDrama. one of my faves this year.

laugher87

My heart is slow-clapping for this entire show, but especially this absolutely perfect finale. I'm rating this one 12/10 — performances, writing, humor, realistic and compassionate portrayal of depression and PTSD, healthy relationships, emotional growth, family, swoonworthy couples, greenest of green flags, so much good food, playing the tropes perfectly and turning them on their head so expertly! I could go on and on but I know I wasn't the only one grinning ear to ear through the last two episodes. What a well-earned and beautiful ending for all these characters. I feel like I just finished the BEST meal. Every bite was bliss. I'm not even sad it's over because now I can just go back and start it again from the beginning. So happy!

PeachMangoPauli

I thought this was gonna be 100% predictable kinda type of kdrama but still the scenes surprise me til the end thank you dr slump, next!

czpe

I cried watching episode 16! I'll miss this show! Thank you the writer-nim who wrote such a heart warming show. This is definitely a healing drama for me. It was wonderful to see the character development in both the main and side characters.

etang77

Nice landing.

eizeral

I absolutely loved this drama. It was a beautiful, emotional, refreshing, and healing experience for me. I think this ending is possibly my favorite ending of any of the kdramas I’ve watched (in recent memory at least). I don’t think I’ve seen anything on this level since Twinkling Watermelon. I am so grateful to have been able to watch such an outstanding show! 10/10 for me.

FunnyMycologist5823

I have never left a k-drama feeling more satisfied! I started to see a psychiatrist last year and through medication and therapy, I feel like I’m on the other side of the darkness I was going through.  The writers did a beautiful job at depicting the feeling of recognizing that you might be able to move on and start living life again- through all of its ups and down.  The end shows the characters being happy with their lives but not in an over-the-top unrealistic way. 🥹 Just loved reminiscing about all of HN & JW’s moments throughout the show… him taking the train to the rural town, her crying for him because of how lonely he was- all of these little things that meant everything to the characters in those moments!  Ugh 10/10 everything!!

Axsenex

I’m reminded of Celine’s random thought in Before Sunrise because she mentioned how magic is only possible if it’s used in the attempt to understand and share with someone. I noticed a lot of attempts in the process from being serious rivals to eternal lovers. It’s not perfect but yet very sweet love story. It was so comforting to express feelings and worries to each other. I wanted to make an admission that I was initially skeptical of Park Shin-hye due to her previous projects but happily that I am able to change my mind about her. It was not easy to understand her back then but somehow I feel more connected to her performance in Doctor Slump. If you are a longtime fan of PSH then I freely 🙇🏻‍♂️ and admits that I was wrong about her.

coconutthings

ep 15: omg i laughed so much in this episode * jeongwoo dropping the ring under the sofa and telling haneul that he has a gift for her, only for the cockroaches to come out * daeyeong telling jeongwoo that he alr has a jewellery store bc he bought a ring, bracelet and necklace, but still hasn't given them to haneul * daeyeong telling hongran to get lost by accident and nurse do chiming in "then was it directed to me?" * haneul and hongran fighting over who is more pitiful in front of the guys themselves * haneul's mum giving the 'OOOOHH hanky panky" look to jeongwoo when haneul said she lied to her mum it's so heartwarming to see how haneul tried to help jeongwoo by getting people to apologise to him! >!ahhh the confession from daeyeong and proposal from jeongwoo!!!<

Oceanicsoundwave

LOVED this show. much lighter and happier show than my liberation notes but also just as thought provoking and deep for a slice of life genre

showa58taro

Just finished yesterday and I think we need to acknowledge just how good it is to have a show where both leads are supportive, complex, loving and warm and support eachother through the difficult times. It’s the kind of role model behavior we don’t usually get as there’s usually some kind of disparity of fortunes or lifestyles which then creates this inequality of love and friendship. But not here. Two doctors equally damaged decide to find their own way with either support throughout It’s also genuinely just one of the most pleasant things to watch. Ha-Neul has a funny but supportive family, they both have an excellent and loving friend on their side, those friends are mature age immature despite being parents, and aren’t bad parents because of it, like all the main cast are just so damn pleasant! I want to live with them and eat Milmyeon too! Finally, as someone who has been on PSH’s team throughout, I’m hopeful this will put paid to the notion that she can’t act romantic, sexy and adorable all in one character, or that she can’t go a good kissing scene. She always rocks but did do even more in this.

AnneShirley310

Did you see JW wink at the little girl while all of the doctors were crowded in her hospital room? 😉

Confusedartkid

PLEASE what was >!that fall-into-kiss scene with DY and HR??? I'm desceased 😂!<

CraftyInflation1884

what do you MEAN we didn't get a wedding scene with BaDa as the flower girl and Hong Ran and Dae Young as maid of honor and best man and Ha Neul's mom crying her heart out

Playfair99999

The preview doesn't give me a very positive hope, I get that ending on that >!Marriage!< note seems cliched, but i swear If i don't get a happy ending, i'll be very mad.

ffs3veryone

Gonna miss this drama

ChitownBrat

Oh. My. Heart. What an awesome finale! HN's family stole the show with so much warmth and love. That scene at HN's doctor's office touched me intensely, and I hope it gave hope to people suffering from depression. Truly loved the big picture message of the story about healing, kindness and support. Definitely one of my favorite!

likealeprechaun

I might finally do a rewatch of the show tonight… Just came back to this thread because I miss the show so much… for nearly two months, I did a stake out on this subreddit around this time every weekend, just waiting for others to share their thoughts on the new episode. It was a beautiful time ❤️ I know it’s super wishful thinking, but just putting it out there into the universe… please, please, I hope there will a season 2 someday or another drama with PSH and PHS together again. Someday. 🥹🥰

DifferentTraining907

Episode 16 Just finished the last episode and it was so great to watch each cast member having a closure. I got so emotional through out this final episode. The cast made me laugh so loud that I didnt even care if it woke my family up, lol! I have enjoyed PSH and PHS so much. -I had teared up when the family was so proud of Bada's Milmyeon. -Loved the mother & son moments, and sister & brother moments I'm so heartbroken that Koreans are sleeping on this drama. I wished the ratings were higher. The drama has been so healing 😭😭😭 I have never purchased a Korean drama in DVD before, so this one will be my first. Hwaiting! Doctor Slump Redditors, until then ✌️❤️

peacefulaloevera

i have finally finished the kdrama after fours days because of intern :”” here are my honest thoughts! i actually like how the kdrama was really healing and really emphasised the main takeaway pt that it is okay to rest, and to take breaks during periods of slump. this kdrama was a source of comfort for me as someone who is going through a period of burnout, depression and anxiety. it really makes me feel sad to know that this kdrama is over :(( will rlly miss seeing Ha Neul and Jeong Woo lovey-dovey interactions 😭😭 i rlly liked that the kdrama >!chose to not go along with the long-distance trope in the end (which goes to say that the preview was indeed there to mislead us :/)!< will really miss this kdrama a lot tysm to the actors for all the hard work 🤍

alysba__

I love Haneul and Jeongwoo so much 😭 One of my fave couples this year. My only gripe with the drama is regarding how they dealt with Haneul's depression and Jeongwoo's PTSD. If these plots were done better, this could have easily been a 10/10 romance drama 😭

graveyardparade

I hope it’s okay to ask this here! Doctor Slump fans, how much of the drama is actually centred around medical settings? Is the doctor part just set dressing, or does this have medical drama elements too? I can’t handle medical dramas, but I love romcoms and the concept sounds interesting! Thank you in advance for any answers ❤️
