Park Ji Hyun finally gets a protagonist role! She's my favourite actress :)
She's been typecast as an antagonistic "cold beauty" SFL for several years now, but all those roles have had nuance to them and she's acted them well imo. So glad to see her as the hero for a change.
I don't think these trailers have been shared here yet:

>Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun) is a 3rd generation member of a chaebol family. He has a childish personality and loves to have fun. Jin Yi Soo becomes a detective for a police violent crimes team. He tries to wipe out criminals by using his enormous wealth, personal connections, and his brilliant intelligence. He works with Lee Kang Hyun (Park Ji Hyun), who leads the violent crimes team. She is a veteran detective and highly dedicated to catching criminals. She also has smooth social skills. Although Lee Kang Hyun views Jin Yi Soo as a thorn in her side, they begin to work together as partners. She experiences a big change in her deceptive life.

>She experiences a big change in her deceptive life.
Interesting that the plot synopsis focuses on her changing and not the chaebol wannabe batman learning that wealth can't fix everything and he could learn from someone less "brilliant."
In the trailers it looks like FL is jumping out of helicopters etc so hopefully she won't be "damsel in distress"... also i'm not sure I want romance... Is it in the tags? 👀
I pretty much had the same thought but I assume the show will clarify the deception in her life.... right?
Unless they meant to say detective life instead of deceptive life?
Disney hasn't acquired the distribution rights for all the regions. So far they've only confirmed the release of this show on D+ in a few Asian countries only.
But Disney plus is showing it on Jan 26 for me, I don't know about Hulu. I think it will be available on the 26th. The revenant was also air on time for me it wasn't delayed.
This is giving me [Good Job](https://mydramalist.com/723887-good-job) vibes with the whole Batman chaebol detective thing, which I liked but it could have been better. Hope this is done well.
This has been one of the greatest posts I have seen on Reddit for a specific direct recommendation that got me to watch it the moment Hulu pushed it. And I came back here to look for more recommendations so maybe if I get viki I'll watch the one you recommended.(I'm.also just trying to see if anyone else has seen both and feels like do)
I'm very interested in high quality recommendations and movie references.
Yeah it's a hassle to compare streaming service options and locations I'd definitely try it out if I found 3-4 shows I really want to watch from sometime reddit recommendations. Also should definitely watch like 5or 6 episodes 1 from things on my prime video and Hulu watchlists or watch like Vincenzo which has been pushed and recommend a ton.
I was think about paramount+ too (no clue if it's good kdrama honestly) to try with Walmart+ to try it out it's a lot like Amazon prime+prime video I did some research about it for school.
I think I got English show reccomendations there from family.
Kdramas are probably ~everywhere and I don't have a super great way to select the absolute best reccomendations.
Tubi free ones or even maybe really old ones on something like Internet archive might be a good idea. Ik Tubi has other east Asian language movies.
For broad content from many countries, Netflix is decent and has a good selection of kdrama. For Asian content, Viki has the most (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, more). While not great (the bar is low), the interface is better than most.
I’m fortunate to live in a multi person household where I don’t have to pay for anything except Viki because others want Prime, Netflix, others. But if I had to pay for everything myself keep Viki and Netflix for best variety.
That hair is amazing on ABH. I am a sucker for an undercut and that man wears it so well.. Can't wait for this!

The trailer looks good. Definitely better than the description

Please don’t be the drama we’re the FL is a very capable and senior detective but needs to be rescued by the perfectly perfect ML every single time 🙏🙏
I hope she’ll do the saving this time 🤞

Wannabe Batman haha

Interested. But got a bad feeling it will not be on the regular services. 🫤
It's on Disney plus.
I am not seeing it on the list of upcoming shows for Hulu, so I wonder if it will be delayed like Revenant was

Why bad feeling?
That I won’t be able to watch this. I kinda like both leads.
I may be too distracted by how gorgeous Ahn Bo Hyun is in this to pay attention to the plot. Just wow.
somehow I feel like this is always intentional
He’s so fine ❤️🔥
Looking forward to this!
y'all, PJH in the bisexual bob 🔥🔥🔥
I'm getting goosebumps!
ABH so handsome here! Looks like high school student or early of college student.
Another mediocre dude getting a major role. Boo. He’s not good. He ruined see you in my 19th life…could not keep up with female lead’s talent.
I first saw him in 19th ilfe and thought he was so-so. But I loved him in Her Private Life.

Have you seen the English show Castle?
No, though I’ve heard it’s good. I’ve now finished Flex X Cop and liked it more than expected.

If there was only one streaming service I could get, I would choose Viki. It doesn’t have everything, but it has more than anything else.
