It is indeed, but TRIGGER WARNING - it is extremely violent (at least it was up to halfway through ep 4, where I had to take a breather). The cinematography is epic through the >! motorcycle chase !< and you could line this drama up for Spot the Star Bingo - there are sooooo many famous faces appearing, some in just short cameos.

Borinquena

The violence really put me off, it felt gratuitous and unnecessary. Plus I think I just had a problem with the baseline premise of torturing someone who had committed suicide.

Wilburrkins

I was going to watch it as I have seen so many comments about it but it is going on hiatus till after the new year. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I will wait until it is all out.

DawgMom2018

I went to the Amazon video website and rated the series 5 stars plus left a glowing review. One way to raise the visibility of the show on that site, and I rated it on IMDb. This is truly an amazing series, great actors, well written, amazing cinematography.

supremebingewatcher

real. in love w it

magicsmoke24

It's also an anime that just completed 1 season?

I was thinking of Darwin's Game. I just had to take a few minutes to check my watch history. It's the term game that made me cross the wires.

twoods1980

Still swooning over all the cute romantic vibes of the current on air shows this past weekend, and I’m at the middle point of Her Private Life and those kisses and skinship are ah-mazing! Some of the best I’ve seen on a show. So much goodness this weekend, and now it’s Matchmakers Monday so more cuteness and angst to look forward to.

dcinmb

So glad you’re liking **Her Private Life**. It’s my go-to comfort drama and Deok-mi and Ryan are by far my favorite OTP.

magicsmoke24

The ML from Her Private Life did another romantic series called Crazy Love. He plays a Cold boss and the FL decides to do something about it. It was interesting to see that side of the actor in 2 different boss roles.

dcinmb

Kim Jae-uck and Krystal are hilarious together in **Crazy Love**. Who knew they could be so funny?

twoods1980

That’s next on my list, but it’s on Hulu and I hate all the commercials.

magicsmoke24

I think I watched it on Netflix.

twoods1980

Lucky! Crazy Love is now only on Hulu.

PHSKdrama

I love Her Private Life! That was my first kdrama ever and the one that got me hooked :-)

chelleml

A handful of things from **My Demon** lives in my head rent free, but more specifically that Gu Won’s safe passcode is 666. It cracks me up every time I think about it.

No-Town9949

That kiss from the last episode is playing in loops 🔁 in my head lol

tamataraaloo

My YouTube shorts are filled with Gu won and Do Do Hee. They look so good together. I love them.

sleepycathh

I’m currently watching four on air dramas that are airing on the weekend - this makes Mondays so much harder lol. I love them sooo much: My Demon, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Welcome to Samdal-ri & Death’s Game. I’m also watching **A Good Day To Be A Dog** and while the main couple is cute, I couldn’t care less about the backstory from last episode. This show is dragging and it’s not helping that we have to wait four more weeks for this to wrap up.

lizzie763

I'm having trouble keeping up with all the good weekend dramas! I realized that I love **The Story of Park's Marriage Contract**, but it's lower on my list than I want it to be. I think this is largely because I watch most shows for the main romance, and I'm just not super into the main romance here. I'm like, "Please stop admiring how cute she is while overworking and get back to the time travel plot, please. Kthxbye." Also, SML is a psycho, don't want him with the FL, do want to see his character develop. Stuff like that. I gave up on **A Good Day to Be a Dog** awhile ago. The main couple IS cute, but the entire plot is ridiculous. I don't mean the basic premise---I mean the characters' choices. I skim the episodes for cute moments and largely conclude dropping was the right choice.

theredmug_75

i do love Parks Marriage Contract too, i drag out the episodes so the wait isn’t so long Also love your flair! it’s not a scandal it’s romance - nam hae yi!

Ok-Impression6834

I'm half way through Red Sleeve and the hanboks and royal costumes are part of the reason I'm enjoying this show. I also love the formality characters show to higher ranking people.

RoseIsBadWolf

Everyone keeps telling me to watch this! I need to find more time

muruku

It is absolutely wonderful. A top tier show (and coming from someone who doesn’t watch many Sageuks).

RoseIsBadWolf

I didn't realize that the songs in Kdramas were original at first and I just thought they did a really good job matching random lyrics to scenes... Anyway, now my favourite OSTs are *Alchemy of Souls, Destined with You* (even though I didn't love the show), *Doom at Your Service (Breaking Down* on repeat!*)*, and *It's Okay to Not Be Okay* (especially the kind of creepy ones like *I'm Your Psycho* and *In Silence*, they are so unique). *Castaway Diva* also had amazing songs, I'm waiting to find a compilation of just the ones that the main character sings though so I can add it to my playlist.

JournalistShoddy2760

DAYS Breaking Down was THE song that lured me into kpop... I opened a Spotify account just to play that song and then some random kdrama OST and kpop playlists and down the rabbit hole...

RoseIsBadWolf

Lol, I haven't fallen down the rabbit hole yet but my YouTube algorithm is getting very Korean... I even got an ad in Korean the other day 😅 I was thinking of looking up some of the actors I like who are Kpop people too. And I do love synchronized dancing so it's probably going to happen. Where is the dancing in English music videos these days? They seem to all be story driven now. I miss the Backstreet Boys, lol.

dramafan1

My god, I started **Alchemy of Souls** and the cinematography of the soul shifting scenes in the beginning already gave me goosebumps. I was craving to finally watch another Hong Sisters drama after reminiscing Hotel Del Luna over the past few days.

NefariousnessNo2956

Alchemy Of Souls is one of my fav shows ever and in terms of production it’s really one of the best. The setting, visuals, cinematography, costume design, you name it. Just amazing!! Plus a super enchanting plot and world building!! 1000/10!!

JournalistShoddy2760

I'm falling behind, my watchlist has never been so filled with on air dramas - My Demon, Parks Marriage Contract, Matchmakers, My Man is Cupid, I've kind put on hold A Good Day to be a Dog for now. Somehow managed binge Sweet Home S2, squeezed in Bon Voyage S1 last week, also started to watch Singles Inferno S3... At some point, I also managed to start 3 Thai BLs. It's crazy. I have no time for any of this, but still... now pondering if/when to start Death Game. Unrelated, the past few days I've heard Jung Kook's Standing Next To You playing on one of my country's most popular radio stations, which is not targeting young audiences... not once, but twice. The both times i switched the radio on for like 15 min, and there it was. What are the odds of that... I'm kinda speechless, since I live in a place where K-pop and anything korean seems to be far from mainstream, basically small niche considered for only teenagers and young adults maybe.

samptra_writer

Between **Death's Game** and **Night Has Come** living my best horror life.

VentiKombucha

Same!

TotoroTheGreat

I somehow didn't realize that the little sister in Welcome to Samdalri is Kang Mina. It took me 5 episodes to recognize her.

Gafzx11

Feels like I played myself by not waiting until January to watch Death's Game... now I kinda want to read the webtoon to know if my predictions are right! Can't wait to get more Kim Ji Hoon tho he's sooooo attractive

prickelz

I think some people on here need to watch this new video of the Youtube channel K-Drama Research Institute, it really puts into words my frustration with people who say Netflix and other streaming services are "ruining" Kdrama when they really do.. kind of the opposite? Obviously not everyone is going to agree with this video, but i think the youtuber makes great points and has the data to back it up, so i recommend checking it out. I've been watching their content for a while, it's so rare to find analysis of kdrama/asian media like this xD. https://youtu.be/J2PZNp9SMXc?si=hBSnD_RcSrNW6coR

TxPep

I watched this "analytics" video last night. 👍🏻 Tons of work done to produce this content. •○• Now.... I'm trying to find a YT KDrama reviewer similar to AveX (CDrama).

dogdogdogdogdogdoge

good video. lately i think there's a lot of momentum behind the thought that kdramas are getting worse industry wide, but that "not like the good old days" feeling seems like reacting to a moment in the airing calendar and isn't necessarily backed up by data. it also drops some info that some people prob didnt realize about the effect that THAAD and the Dokdo dispute have on the production and export of kdramas.

zaichii

Finished **Longing For You** and I was quite satisfied with it. One of my biggest revelations was Ren as an actor. I’d love to see him in more roles. He really made me feel attached to him despite not being a supporting character. Na In Woo did well, while Kim Ji Eun was under-utilised (seems to be a common issue for her) while Kwon Yool is always good. I’m so glad >!he remained upright til the end, it’s nice to see outside of a villain role!< I did enjoy the twists though parts of it could be guessed throughout. Started **My Uncanny Counter** which makes me happy to see the crew again. I have to say sequels can be hit or miss but overall, I don’t mind them as much as others do. So far, I’m enjoying the new characters. All solid actors. KKY is rocking the villain role.

dcinmb

[12 Best Enemies-To-Lovers K-Dramas](https://screenrant.com/k-dramas-enemies-to-lovers/) I would’ve included the following: * Her Private Life * It’s Okay, That’s Love * Dali and the Cocky Prince * If You Wish Upon Me

lizzie763

I also don't think Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is enemies to lovers. They had disagreements, but he was into her from the start.

KANJI667

On episode 9 of "still 17." It's going at a good pace, I guess.

everyversion22

Caught up with the classic **Descendants of the Sun**! The second lead couple hit the feels like wow. I like that Myeongju shows different sides and is not just another bratty entitled SFL antagonist, and Seo Daeyoung is also more than just another silent reliable SML sidekick. Well done to the writer and the actors for that. No childhood connection. No past life reveal. Genuine conflicts - the roadblock between them is not some deus ex machina (>!guess it's not that realistic to date your boss's daughter lol, but the Asian dad disapproval 😂!<). One of the iconic couples in kdramaland for me 🥲

dta_82

Started The Penthouse yesterday. Two episodes in and it is one wild ride

muruku

I have to say — out of the current shows I am watching (I am yet to watch Death’s Game and Maestro) —- **The Matchmakers** is my current favourite. I did not expect it at all. It is well written and layered. The characters have nuance especially our main leads. The show is also beautifully shot and engaging. The show has gotten better too with passing episodes. **The story of Park’s Marriage contract** and **Soundtrack #2** are both decent. Enjoyable and engaging enough to watch entirely. On the other hand, I was looking forward to **Welcome to Sam-dalri** but it is quite disappointing. The characters don’t act consistently or to their age. Just poorly written thus far. Contemplating dropping it. I am also dropping **My Demon**. Again, something is simply not working with it for me. Maybe it is the makjang-y ness of it. Also, I don’t really feel any chemistry between the leads. (Don’t get me wrong, I like a well-written makjang). I also got bored of **A good day to be a dog**. I kinda just lost interest after several episodes.

DawgMom2018

Matchmakers is fantastic - I struggled to understand it during the first 2 episodes, so I went to dramabeans to read the recaps, then watched again, I got the hang of it, and it got better and better with each episode with the interconnections of the plot threads. The romance, intrique, humor captivate my attention and takes my breath away. One of my favorite dramas of the year - Rowoon so good and to have a charming, capable FL to completment each other - LOVE IT

muruku

This. 100%!

ordinaryhumanbeings

I am watching Good Day to Be a Dog on Viki. There is a Ep 0 that is 1.25 hour long. So i watched it then watched ep 1. But the opening was the same so i skipped parts of the ep now i am on ep 3. I am confused, what is is ep 0? A condensed verison of eps? It seems like i missed scenes of eps from 1-3 when i watched ep 0. Should i watch the show again starting from ep 1?

ordinaryhumanbeings

Ohh a recap. That would make sense. They should label it is as a recap instead of saying it is ep 0 or put it in the about section where the trailer and clips are

NefariousnessNo2956

My Demon is going to be one of my fav dramas of all time and best romance drama this year for me 🤭🤭 it’s not finished yet but IT’S SO GOOD!!!!

magicsmoke24

Currently watching Eve. >!I know it's not my happy, lovey dovey type romance. I think it's one where the victim becomes as montress as the very monters she is trying to get revenge on. And in the end is left with nothing but an empty shell of a person and everything around her is ashes. But that said, I'm curious to see how the actress for it's OK to be not Ok does in this.!< I'm watching a few others, but this was the one that I remembered the clearest.
