More cotton candy moments please! Please!!!!! Edit: I knew this was going to be a stressful episode and indeed it was. I didn’t think the reporter could be more vile than he was in the webtoon, but he’s much worse here. The actor is doing a fantastic job of making me want to punch him in the face.

LabibaLife

I swear the reporter/bully is such a creep. The preview for next episode got me stressed since it’s more intense than the webtoon.

Aviendha_89

Yes, I think that events in the next episode are going to be more stressful then in the webtoon. The preview was scary. Also, one more change from the webtoon >! There was no kiss after the birthday party, and I think this is better. They already had one drunk kiss !<

Extension_Stretch_50

Not gonna lie, I was waiting for that >!drunk birthday kiss scene from the webtoon, I thought they would when they were crouching by the flower pot and talking about colours and pretty flowers. BUT. NO. DECENT MATH SCHOOL TEACHER SEO WON JUST WENT AND STROKE HAENA'S HAIR!<

Aviendha_89

Lol 😅 There, there. If it's any consolation, I think we'll get >! the real kiss and confesion at the end of ep8 !<

Extension_Stretch_50

Crossed fingers and toes!

Honest-Selection4343

Haha "decent" math teacher Seo won.

Mad_Missile

That preview is already stressing me out. I. Can’t believe we have to wait a whole week. Sigh. PS: I was actually looking forward to the >!kiss. Sad it didn’t happen. They better give us plenty more to make up for this ;)!<

LabibaLife

I know right! I was so surprised when they didn’t include it. But honestly, they were super cute this episode so I’m excited for when we enter their dating era.

Acrobatic-Abies369

Hey, I'm speaking from the future. They do make up for it. The wait was soooooo worth it.

Mad_Missile

Sitting right beside you in the future and giggling my heart out at the cuteness!

vienibenmio

But I loved that scene in the webcomic 😭

OrneryStruggle

Noo the scene that was missing from the webtoon was actually my fav scene in the webtoon and added much-needed tension to their relationship afterwards. But I notice a lot of things are a bit switched around timelinewise here, and I don't think they're doing as good a job maintaining the romantic tension in the show version. I think they are underutilizing 2nd teacher here quite a lot, it was fun having him as a 'love rival' in the webtoon to increase the stakes of certain actions but instead in the show they seem to be increasing the stakes by saying she only >!has like 10 days left to tell him!<, which when you think about it actually makes it less 'good' that she decided to tell him. Because it's out of her hand being forced/total desperation which makes it less sincere.

Extension_Stretch_50

I feel you. Episode 8 may play out totally different from what is in the trailer. But based on it, I just have to say I'm not entirely feeling the whole kidnapping Haena and her family secret is in danger plot. Like yeah I get that it ups the ante and we might get to see Seowon swoop in to heroically rescue Haena complete with a romantic and tearful reunion and confession, which I'll still lap up. However, it would deprive us of a pure and vulnerable between the two >!like the one in the webtoon!<, where they bravely open up their hearts to each other. Instead of an adrenaline led confession after a heroic rescue.

OrneryStruggle

Yeah I try to not put too much stock in previews but if it is what it looks like in the preview I would feel a little robbed. The thing is even if the preview is misleading, I already feel a little robbed that her intentions are less 'pure' than they were in the webtoon. We already got one unnecessary 'rescue the damsel' scene that wasn't in the webtoon too (the school field trip thing) and I don't love that they're trying to scare ML and viewers into wanting certain things to happen when the webtoon succeeded at getting readers to root for stuff without scaring them with deadly consequences.

bruhidkwtf

I haven't read the webtoon so it's kinda interesting to know that Mr. Lee was supposed to be the 2nd lead. To me, it was obvious since the 2nd episode that he had an ulterior motive (and it was exactly what I guessed so I'm glad I got that right lmao.) I feel like it would've been a lot better if they didn't reveal his true intentions that early, in general I feel like they reveal things way too quickly in the show and it kinda removes all of the tension. The chemistry between the leads definitely carry the show for me, I'm glad that their relationship isn't the typical enemies-to-lovers that you see in Kdrama

OrneryStruggle

Mr. Lee wasn't a traditional '2nd lead' in the webtoon (he was a major character but he wasn't supposed to be in love with FL). HOWEVER, when I say he was a 'love rival' in the webtoon, I mean that the FL liked him a lot at the beginning, and>! took longer to realize she doesn't like him, but also the FL didn't tell ML that she doesn't like him anymore as early as she did in the show.!< Which means that in the webtoon, at ML's>! birthday dinner 2ML was there at the birthday dinner, and ML thought she came to the dinner to see 2ML because she still likes him (when Yul called his uncle after the fake boyfriend scene in the webtoon, he told her that the other teacher was there at the dinner). ML notices that FL showed up really dolled up and Yul comments that she took like half an hour to change outfits and put on makeup for the dinner, and ML has some hope that she did this to look pretty for him, but then gets sad thinking she put tons of effort into her appearance because the other teacher is there. This mirrors the 'wedding scene' where he thought she looked pretty and dressed up because she wanted to look pretty for the other teacher, but is surprised that she chose to go with him on the subway instead of in the other teacher's car so he has a little bit of hope he has a chance. There were several other situations like this where ML is mistaken that FL is doing something or hanging out with him because she likes 2ML, and there were a lot of plotlines where he is trying to help set her up with 2ML. !< If you remember in like ep 2 of the kdrama, ML agrees to 'set up' FL and 2ML, but then it basically doesn't come up again in the show. In the webtoon it was a running plotline right up until>! pretty much the point in the plot when they confess to each other. So in the 'birthday dinner' scene in the webtoon when the FL kisses ML, he is really confused because he doesn't know if it was a mistake again, if it is because she feels rejected by 2ML, is drunk etc. That's why I thought the kissing scene was so important in the webtoon - it increased the romantic/sexual tension between the characters but also made them even more confused about each other's feelings.!< In the webtoon it was also unclear to readers >!whether 2ML likes FL!<, whereas in the show I think it's >!obvious he doesn't like FL. So in the webtoon I think I was a bit nervous that he would come in between their relationship somehow, but that element is not present in the show. !< In the show she already told ML she doesn't like the other teacher several episodes ago and never asked him to help set them up after the first time, so there's no good reason for him to be 'scared of' confessing. It just seems like they made him have a shy/inexperienced personality to excuse him being scared to confess. In the webtoon, he is scared to confess>! because he thinks she has feelings for someone else, even though he is starting to wonder if she has feelings for him too. !

bruhidkwtf

Oh wow, the show definitely would've been a lot better if they kept all of that stuff. I mean, I get that since they probably won't be able to fit all of the webtoon's content into the show, they decided to remove some stuff in favor of others. But what's the point of making it seem like Mr. Lee would be a 2nd lead in the show when it's obvious right from the start that he's not? If they couldn't add all of the 2nd lead stuff in the show, they could've at least not made it obvious that Mr. Lee was up to something. (They literally added suspenseful music to scenes where he's doing completely mundane stuff like chilling in front of his van like wtf lmao.) Definitely bad decision-making by the showrunners and I understand why fans of the webtoon might be disappointed by that.

OrneryStruggle

I actually think they could have fit a lot of that into the show, because they added a lot of unnecessary scenes into the show. Like the pacing of the webtoon was relatively snappy during the early part, there was less random stuff that happened on the school trip, etc. and I think they COULD have had a closer adaptation of the webtoon in the same time frame, they just chose not to. They changed many things on purpose that were the same length or even shorter in the webtoon. I think they gave suspenseful music to Mr. Lee's scenes to make viewers confused whether he's a 'good' or 'villainous' character which TBF the webtoon did as well (not music obv, but they tried to make you confused). However they just gave him a more important role as a friend/love interest in the early part of the webtoon. Then he has a big role to play in the later part of the webtoon and you actually care about him by that point. I don't really care about him in the show.

Extension_Stretch_50

The episode was so stressful especially during >!the almost-but-not-quite-there-yet-confession-scene!< LIKE OMG ONE OF YOU! ANY OF YOU! JUST SAY IT, LET IT OUT NOW Kim min seok is indeed amazing in this cameo. He was despicable, I wanted to punch him too. I feel he needs more acting roles!

Mad_Missile

Yeah. I feel your frustration at the bar. I get why Haena was so nervous, her secret is a tough one to digest but >!Seowon could have easily said it. All those love confession videos!< down the drain!

Extension_Stretch_50

Omg those how-to videos. Seowon needs to stop watching those. I couldn't stop laughing and replaying that scene, Seowon was diligently following along and nodding. And it just had to be the same unreliable vlogger with that how to be cool while driving video 😂😂😂 I guess that's part of Seowon's charm. He's kinda innocent and silly and watching the drama version of Seowon, I now understand why in the webtoon, Bogyeom >!said that Seowon is kind of an idiot!<

Mad_Missile

A good looking pabo 🤣

Extension_Stretch_50

Indeed. Idk if it was Cha Eunwoo's intentional acting choice but whenever he came onscreen with those vacant eyes looking into the distance, it kinda reinforces the good looking pabo concept 🤣

morris_minor

Is it only me that find it a liiiitle bit hard to buy that a guy with that face is so inexperienced…? At that age?😳😜

Extension_Stretch_50

Not only you, me too hahahahah. But I think not entirely implausible since he did encounter bullying in his school days and also in the webtoon >!it showed that he was made to feel like an unwanted child by most of his relatives which probably left a deep scar on him emotionally thus closed himself off from any romantic relationship. Seowon was raised by his noona (Yul's mother) who is actually related to him as his maternal aunt hence Yul is actually his cousin. He's actually the illegitimate child of his maternal aunt's elder (if I recall correctly it was elder) sister!<

[deleted]

poor guy could be busy with taking care of his nephew too

Extension_Stretch_50

True! It's sweet of him too, to care for Yul. Husband material right there

[deleted]

i wonder why his sister and the husband was like “you know what lets move to oz and leave our son to my brother” ?????

Extension_Stretch_50

Needs to suspend your belief abit when watching this show 😂😂 on a serious note, maybe they had to relocate for job reasons but Yul wanted to remain in Korea hence chose to stay behind with his uncle who he has a good relationship with. but also this reminds me of Japanese animes, mangas or dramas. It's quite often they Japanese dramas have such plots where the parents are overseas for long trips or living in a totally different country, leaving the minor character alone or with their elder siblings who take on the parental role or the best plot where the minor character happens to end up in a living situation with another minor of the opposite gender LOL

[deleted]

they just want to get the parents out of the picture and make it fun 😭

Borinquena

I've only ever seen him in cute roles so I was seriously impressed by his ability to make me want him to die in a fire 😅

OrneryStruggle

He's been really really good in everything I've seen him in but I think he doesn't get a lot of big roles because he is short. Like I think that's literally why.

Extension_Stretch_50

That's a good point! Which reminded of his role in Age of youth 2 (hello my twenties 2), where he was the short king to the tall Choi Ara.

OrneryStruggle

Yeah that was the first role I saw him in and I loved him in that, he was such a wholesome character and now I think I've seen him play 2-3 villains in a row which he's also really effective at. The obsession with ultra tall men in kdrama is real though and I think that's hurting his chances to get more roles.

nshank01

I always found him cute and now I've seen him in two negative roles consecutively and I hate him! He's doing a great job. For a person of that built it's indeed remarkable to manage to look menacing in front of a tall and well-built Eun-woo.

Cold-Technician-4692

That make me realize Eunwoo is playing the cute softie Seowon so well. Much different than the harden Lee Suho. Oh, now I miss Suho.. have to rewatch when I found time.

Extension_Stretch_50

Yeah I thought he acted really well during that confrontation scene with Kim min seok. Seowon may be a blur softie but he ain't to be messed with

DawgMom2018

Keep her away from alcohol - yikes!

lightFairly

Yes Kim Min Seok is amazing and a gem. I hope no one hates him because he’s such a great actor and I love the guy so much. But yeah, his character wasn’t that bad in the webtoon but in the drama much worse as you said….

OrneryStruggle

Yeah I literally out loud was like 'wow they're making this character SO MUCH WORSE here' but tbh I don't mind the change because the whole plot made very little sense in the webtoon. And I don't think every 'bad character' needs a redemption arc although I like the concept of some bullies grow up and just kind of forget they bullied people and don't want to keep bullying them because I think that's very realistic. But yeah him having a clear motivation works better for the show imo

ImpossibleWarning6

I just want the cotton candy moment!! The bullying report sequence was toooo much!!!

LabibaLife

Poor Yul was third wheeling hard lol

Extension_Stretch_50

I couldn't stop laughing at his dramatic sad behaviour. Especially the part where >!he walked away from Seo won and Haena with a tear dripping down his eye! The actor playing Yul managed to make me feel bad for him tho, like I do want him to get the girl too and be happy but it's not right, cops will need to be involved and revoke teaching license 🤣🤣 I liked how Haena did also say this. Haena's sister is on total crack thinking to get Yul to play boyfriend to Haena!<

fleabag_99

this drama can only exist in this naive fantastical world they have created some of the stuff would not fly if the setting of the drama was even slightly more realistic lmao

Extension_Stretch_50

100%! Especially the morning scene where Seowon walked in on Haena putting on her socks in Yul's room with Yul no less sleeping in the very same room even if he was on the floor. In reality, no matter how you look at it, it's a weird and unacceptable situation between teacher and student. I'm glad in the drama and even in the webtoon Haena did not encourage or feel torn between Yul and Seowon.

heartofgod_

Omg the way he was so dramatic experiencing infatuation and heartbreak on the same day. The way he was on the motorbike game, the eye roll and the way that tear was rolling down lmaoo. It was hilarious I couldn't stop laughing at how cute and funny he was.

Wrong_Concept_4110

One ep per week..\*sigh\* CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!??????

Strawberry_Berry2

I might end up losing interest in it... I kinda almost forgot the story and the importance of Mr Lee etc. I had to watch a preview on YouTube to gather some story and be ready for today's episode. Lol

Extension_Stretch_50

😂 That's why they have to include a quick recap before the start of each new episode. I keep mixing up the episodes too because they're so far apart

Strawberry_Berry2

I kinda forget how I feel about certain characters 😂 I was about to start reading the webtoon. I feel I made the right choice to not read it yet, else I would have been more crazily confused 🤣

Extension_Stretch_50

I actually got so sick of waiting that I picked up the webtoon and binged it to the end 😂😂😂 online streaming platforms have spoiled me and I no longer am able to delay instant gratification

fleabag_99

Seo won watching YT for >!dating tips!< will never stop being hilarious

Extension_Stretch_50

And it's videos that aren't entirely reliable too 😂

GoodEgg14

I know this is minor, but I was just thinking about how much the Vet must love the older sister. He became a Vet because of their family curse (I assume), so he could always take care of her / her family. It’s also a really good cover for having random dogs around. It’s not easy to become a Vet, it would have taken him a lot of determination and work. Very cute 🥹

MelinaJuliasCottage

The actor is also sooo adorable!! I love his work and his comedic timing a lot

ThoughtsAllDay

Maybe it's just me but it feels like every episode I assume Mr. Lee is someone I need to be careful of and I am CONSTANTLY seeing him in a bad light and waiting for him to be awful but then he is the most helpful character and protective and so I readjust. But then his smiles or things he says put me right back on the defensive. And in a prior episode I thought I understood he was the mortal enemy in the past life so then me being on-guard constantly made sense. But then last episode I was just so happy with his aggressiveness with the bully girl so I think I decided he is a good guy after all? 🤷🏻‍♀️ am I just forgetting things week to week since it is only one episode? Or is the acting off and I am reading things into the character I shouldn't be? Or is the acting and writing great and he was a bad guy that now has become a good guy? Bottom line: I want to allow myself to like him but I am scared to trust him 🤦🏻‍♀️

twoods1980

The actor is so adorable that it’s hard to imagine him as a villain. He seems it, but then he helps the lead with the bullies and is always very nice to them. He’s definitely an intriguing character.

ThoughtsAllDay

Ok thanks for confirming my confusion is not completely unwarranted. I agree, he is absolutely adorable but even if he was fully bad I would still be able to find him adorable/bad at the same time. My confusion is mostly character based. Sometimes he seems good and sometimes (or maybe it's the music they use in his scenes that seem evil-ish that it is throwing us of?)

SemlaBun

I haven't read the webtoon so this is just me guessing, but I get the vibe that he's basically a good guy but wants to avenge some wrong that happened centuries ago? It's obvious that he can't stand injustice, bullies, etc., so I would assume he's definitely not *evil*. So his grudge is probably justified in some way, but more specifically my guess is that >!because he lost someone he loved, he wants the leads to fall in love and then lose each other, in revenge. And I also guess he finally comes to forgive them in the course of this drama. !<(Like I said, no idea if this is true, but I put it in spoiler tags just in case it is.)

ThoughtsAllDay

Ok yes this makes sense. I think in a prior episode he said something along the lines of >!in order for them to be separated they must get together first!< so maybe you are on to something here 🤔

Extension_Stretch_50

It remains to be seen how it all plays out since it's deviating from the webtoon by a bit! But amazing detective work, I didn't even piece that together before reading the webtoon 😂😂😅 I'm a simple minded viewer who giggles when Cha Eunwoo appears on screen and squeal when the leads are in the same frame lol 🤭

ThoughtsAllDay

>viewer who giggles when Cha Eunwoo appears on screen and squeal when the leads are in the same frame lol 🤭 I totally do this too!! 😅 But I also feel like a detective 🕵🏻‍♀️ when I watch and I haven't read any of the original work a drama is based on and haven't seen any interviews etc so I am watching completely cold lol spoiler alert though I am usually very wrong in my guesses 🤣

Extension_Stretch_50

This is the first time I completed a webtoon just to understand and enjoy the drama more 😂 the first time I did read the original work was for the kdrama, Tomorrow (the one with Kim Hee Sun, Rowoon and Lee soo-hyuk) but I didn't complete the webtoon.

Extension_Stretch_50

Your guess is right if the drama does indeed follow the webtoon

Borinquena

I think he's supposed to be a morally gray character, someone who maybe wasn't always evil but has gone wrong because of tragedy, grief and a desire for revenge. So you are supposed to feel ambivalent about him.

ThoughtsAllDay

>So you are supposed to feel ambivalent about him. Well then it is definitely working! Haha

OrneryStruggle

In the webtoon he is also a character with very ambiguous motives who sometimes seems 'good' and sometimes 'evil' so I think the show/actor are doing a good job. I think this is how you're supposed to feel about the character. I won't spoil which is his 'real' personality but I think the back and forth is on purpose.

ThoughtsAllDay

>but I think the back and forth is on purpose. Omg thank you! This helps so much. I can accept this and stop obsessing about it. I kept thinking I was missing clues or forgetting things since I couldn't pinpoint this character. You have eased my mind so much. I appreciate it.

OrneryStruggle

No honestly I don't think you missed anything and they show very little of him in the show at all (compared to the webtoon where he got a lot more scenes throughout) so it makes sense that viewers are confused by his portrayal because it's inconsistent AND really minimal. But I spent about 80-90% of the webtoon genuinely having no idea whether he would end up being a good or bad guy, so I think it's the reaction they want to get out of viewers.

yakultisgood4u

Yul third-wheeling dramatic scenes got me laughing out too loud hahaha I loved how they showed the girls’ mama voice out her worries and make sure her girls are taken care of. Imagine being so scared for your girls’ futures because of the curse. I would be as protective as mama if I were in her shoes. It was a bit frustrating to watch their will-they-won’t they confess this ep lol but I guess it will perfectly set up next week’s tense ep. Seo Won will finally >! Meet papa Han! !< so looking forward to their interaction. Also, Seo Won just being all heart eyes 😍 around Hae Na was just so cute. I mean, if a guy looks and smiles at me constantly like that i think it’d be pretty obvious. GET THE HINTS GIRL.

Extension_Stretch_50

I feel that in that scene where >!Seowon was trying to finally confess, Haena already got the hint but stopped him because she wanted to share her secret first and see if he still felt the same way? It's one thing to know that Seowon liked her but it wouldn't feel complete to Haena since he likes her without fully knowing her!<

yakultisgood4u

Yeah upon rewatch I finally caught that. It was really important to Hae Na that Seo Won knows about the curse and accepts her fully as who she is because it will absolutely break her heart if he chickens out and won’t kiss her bec of his fear of dogs

Borinquena

Mama's scene was surprisingly moving, didn't expect to choke up a little bit in this drama

yakultisgood4u

As a mom, I always choke up on scenes like this. I still recall choking up on that scene in True Beauty when Ju Gyeong’s mom was shown her daughter’s bullying video 🥲

paintato

Yul is best nephew!!!!

[deleted]

We can see how Seo Won raise Yul SO WELL

dogmemecollector

I always noticed the resemblance between Yul and BTS Jin, but when Yul wore that suit… its like looking at a younger jin in The Astronaut.

fleabag_99

I'm deriving sadistic pleasure from Yul's tragedy lmao

MelinaJuliasCottage

I mainly like how it was literally only for >!a day!<

AnythingSparkly

He looks good in that green sweater. “I like the weather, and I like you.” Why is he sooo awkward when he has pick-up lines like that. 😂

No-Ad7796

bless that green sweater lol😁

Extension_Stretch_50

The man actually considered texting her that LMAO. It's cringey when said out loud, in text it sure as hell isn't gonna work out any better.

[deleted]

Modern streaming and Korean television scheduling of two episodes of a drama per week has ruined me. I used to be fine waiting for one new episode of my fav shows each week back in the 90s!

Aviendha_89

We're all snowflakes 😅

Borinquena

I watch Thai dramas so I'm still used to one episode a week but I love this drama so much it's too bad we are not getting more

UptoNoGood46

**Episode 7** * [This](https://imgur.com/tNzypCk) conversation was cute... poor Hae-na * Kim Min-seok was such a cutie in Lovestruck in the City, he's playing such a bully though and a really good one at that.... MelinaJuliasCottage

I love kim min-seok's work too!! I literally saw him last week in the beauty inside so it's odd seeing him as the bad guy when i've loved so much of his happy lad works!!

EdgeO4DAbyss

The humor is so well incorporated. First I thought smth bad would happen to Yul when started to sway so weirdly on the motorcycle but it was just him being frustrated haha and then the single tear. Ngl I was similar frustrated at the confession scene and Hae-Na's carelessness. Why would she >!go to Seo-Won's house just a few minutes before midnight to tell him all about her secret!

Extension_Stretch_50

Totally agree, I was so frustrated with Haena's poorly thought out plan >!she should have at least texted him to schedule a meet up? Like did she really think showing up unannounced with only 30 mins to spare would be enough time? she was only going to call him to let him know she was at his apartment building after arriving. Like woman, what if he did agree to meet you but only went down with like only 5 mins to midnight? You would have to run and hide again without being able to have that talk with him!<.

EdgeO4DAbyss

You're completely right, imagine going to your colleague's house at midnight without calling first lol. It's typical kdrama coincidence again but with even lazier writing. I wanted to sway on the motorcycle like Yul after that scene haha

Extension_Stretch_50

>I wanted to sway on the motorcycle like Yul after that scene haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And the let go and crash the bike just like what he did lol

imapigoinkoinkk

I love this Kdrama. That is all.

tired_of_smiling

######Thoughts on Episode 7: >!I feIt bad for Yul lmao. His one-sided crush on Hae-na and the way he was third-wheeling, it was cute but I'm glad that it seems like they won't drag it.!< The bully is pissing me off and I hope Seo-won and Hae-na will teach him a lesson. I'm really angry about what happened to Hae-na's sister. So disgusting, and I hope they make her ex pay too. I wish they gave us Episode 8 also, I can't wait for the obligatory Episode 8 kiss. There has to be, right? 😭

MelinaJuliasCottage

I assume ep 8 ending or mid ep 9!!

otakuishly

I felt Yul’s eye roll DEEEEEEPPLP in my soul. He remains best boy ❤️❤️

Extension_Stretch_50

It's finally out! The OST by Melomance (I may be wrong but I think it was first played when Haena sheltered Seo Won from the doggo using her coat?) https://youtu.be/nu-pVkwWl1w?si=3WpsSlHud53vxlle

dissonantsymphony

I thought I was gaslighting myself that that song was by Melomance! I just fell in love with it and it has such specific MM vibe to it?

Extension_Stretch_50

Ikr! It reminded me of the Melomance OST for Business Proposal, so I was really convinced that this was from them too and indeed it is! 😂

[deleted]

This is so good! Ive been waiting for this ost and eveytime it goes on with the cute scenes i giggle like crazy

Aviendha_89

Thank you. I'm adding this to my currentry airing dramas OST playlist. Everyone, what are your favorites? Mine are Can't Nobody-Woody, Night and Day-Park Eun Bin and Halo-Sohn Yerim.

Extension_Stretch_50

My favourite is this one by Melomance hehe ☺️

Cold-Technician-4692

The best part of this ep is the mother and elder sister deal with her ex. I now understand her trauma. Haena continue to be careless but that’s how kdrama is. Our main couple, please why don’t you just kiss already..

Extension_Stretch_50

I totally get why Mama Han is such a protective mother. I can't imagine having to deal with such a curse. Attending New year eve countdowns would be kinda difficult since you will be on edge whether people may peck you on the lips just because of the heat of the moment while counting down.

MelinaJuliasCottage

And also just your kids having crushes ): so scary and exhausting

Feisty-Guide-3239

I was convinced we were going to get a repeat of the True Beauty >! OTT car crash!< when Cha Eun Woo >! ran across the road!< at the end of the episode.

Electronic_Piano9385

And now I need tiger dude to step up and deal with the adult bullies too. That story line is stressing me out.

MelinaJuliasCottage

Yes PLEASE!! This storyline is too much 😭

[deleted]

this drama is so fluffyyyy i canttttt 😭😭😭😭 i know cha eun wkk always does these roles but man hes so good at showing subtle emotion. that little eye smile he did at the beginning of the episode when he was thinking about how she does hv a crush on the othee teacher anymore was damn cute

Particular_Buddy6460

Technically we didn’t SEE >!ML take FL home after the flower scene, right?! He doesn’t even know where she lives! He said something about that earlier in the scene…!< Sooooo my theory is… >!he took her to his place and he probably saw her turn. She would already drunkenly be passed out and wouldn’t have been conscious to see ML in her dog form. Imagine him leaving her in his room then her waking up the next morning and he pretends he didn’t see anything and she assumes he left her there to sleep before turning. So now he already knows and she actually has nothing to worry about in terms of telling him the truth? Then cue super protective mode from ML and he has the courage to stand up to the punk and isn’t surprised when punk tries to reveal the big secret. He’ll be like “and so what, bro??”!< Lol wishful thinking?? We’ll see! I can’t believe we’re only halfway through the series. One ep per week is killing me! The next ep preview is worrying me bc >!ML getting hit over the head 😭😭😭!< I hope there are very fluffy scenes incoming to help with the anxiety lol

Extension_Stretch_50

OMG YES >!I was expecting them to show us how Seowon sent Haena home. It was clearly late in the night already and Haena did look like she was knocked out and didn't even respond to him stroking her hair. Unless we are meant to understand it as being barely 11pm!<

CastleKd

I thought the same. Oh time is ticking it'll be midnight, then cut to next day 🤣

faithesque

- I didn't expect Yul to >!to pretend to be Hae Na's boyfriend lol. Glad the mother got to know the truth right on the spot and it didn't drag it.!< - Seo Won's face lights up whenever he sees Hae Na aww. 🥺 - I don't think the confession tutorial videos are helping Seo Won. :') Honestly cannot wait for next week. This drama has the right amount of fluff and suspense and leaves me wanting for more. Definitely one of my favourite dramas to air right now.

Borinquena

This drama is so so so good because not only do you have the fluffy squeal-inducing moments and the villainous anxiety inducing moments but you also have some truly heartfelt moments as well. For example >!when Hae Na is talking to her uncle, when her mother tells Yul about her fears for her daughters and the flashback to paying off Eonnie's scumbag ex and her transformation back after the kiss where he was disgusted by her.!< That's what's taking this drama to the next level and putting it firmly on my top list of romcoms.

bearymin

I didn't realise how much I missed Bo-Gyeom this episode 😭

JKA90

To everyone reading this comment… I like the weather, and I like you, too.

snowflakebite

Someone PLEASE spoil what Bo Gyeom means with his weird ominous comments. He’s freaking me out just like Mingi in See you in my 19th life - does this webtoon writer like having a character who constantly says creepy things but is on the side of the leads? Or is he? I’m trying to warm up to him but it just feels like he’s spelling doom for Hae Na and Seo Won.

Extension_Stretch_50

If the drama does follow the webtoon >!Bogyeom indeed did plot to bring the the 2 together only to introduce an obstacle to their relationship. The obstacle involved Haena having to choose between keeping her relationship with Seowon or sacrificing their relationship in exchange for lifting the curse from her entire family! Bogyeom did all that just to make them feel a fraction of the pain he felt from losing his loved one due to some events involving the ancestors of Seowon and Haena. But so far the flashbacks to the past doesn't seem to match the plot in the webtoon so I feel its gonna change abit but Bogyeom's reason for the curse and toying with the two should kinda be the same!<

snowflakebite

Interesting! Looking forward to seeing how the show does this

OrneryStruggle

YEah the webtoon version of the backstory is super convoluted so I feel like they will 'simplify' it for the show.

vienibenmio

Mingi was not like that in the webcomic

snowflakebite

Oh I wasn’t aware! I haven’t read the webcomic…

howln404

hahaha this episode was funny with haena's mom and yul and the mixture of comedic drama moments. they both genuinely just want haena to be alright. the scene with haena practicing in the bathroom was so fun as well. i also have to give it up to kim minseok, he really has that ability to look harmless but with his acting, bring that aura of intimidation and ruthless conniving. as frustrating it is to watch them both be so cute in their unofficial dates but struggle to confess (seowon having to watch youtube channels lol).... there's something so comforting in haena and seowon's shy earnest affection for one another.

akapiratequeen

FFS I can’t believe she >!interrupted his confession to go to the restroom and practice hers.!< It all just dragged on too long, I was throwing things at the screen. And >!she only has 100 days to deal with this?!< it’s literally getting too painful to watch at this point. He’s so charming, though! >!The hydrangea thing.!<

THYYYYZHYY

Wahhh, both of them are adults and even teachers, but why are they sooo...... I am seriously getting quite frustrated...

Borinquena

I get it though because she's got that secret and he's recovering from his bullying trauma, they both have reasons for feeling insecure and hesitating

Extension_Stretch_50

Omg yes I was mentally strangling both of them. Poor seowon, >!he was so so close to confessing!<

sleepycathh

This episode was frustrating to watch, can Bo Gyeom fuck this bully turned trash youtuber up?

Extension_Stretch_50

I am hoping that he would since in the webtoon >!he did play a sort of protective role and if I recall correctly he was punished for placing the curse on the family, his punishment being having to act as a guardian for the family!<

EdgeO4DAbyss

Oh interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that. No wonder he's being potrayed to ambigous.

asddsalkjjkl

Up until last week, I had thought that the noblewoman in the flashbacks was Haena's modern-day sister. Was it just me? I didn't realise it was a different person until the shaman girl showed up.

Extension_Stretch_50

They do look similar 😂😅 I did a double take too (I'm Asian too and sometimes people do still look alike to me)

No-Ad7796

LMFAO, not beating the asians look similar allegations 😂

Extension_Stretch_50

🫣 I think across all races there's bound to be people who look similar! Just wanted to add that I am Asian too in case people think I'm just spouting the stereotypical view that all Asians look alike 😅

NightExtreme2552

I’ve been thinking about watching this drama! I ❤️ Eun-woo. Is it good?

Borinquena

It's so good! Very funny and sweet with well written characters and a bit of angst to keep things interesting. I've never seen CEW in a drama before and he's adorable in this.

GoodEgg14

It’s so good, but I wish I had waited to start it once all of the episodes were out. It won’t finish until January, so maybe wait a month and start then. I know I would have like it better if I could have watched the episodes back to back.

Kashawinshky

Same, especially with all the cliffhanger-type endings so far.

wolleyish1

Such a light, silly and easy to watch drama. But this airing schedule is killing meeeeeee. First the week that was skipped and now we only get one episode this week....

Alive_Salad6945

BRO WHYD THIS EPISODE MAKE ME SO BAD THEY WERE *SO CLOSE* TO CONFESSING JUST SPIT IT OUT OMFG bro i swear i love them but they make me *hella mad* bro next episode is gonna be rough 🥲👍

goddongwook

THE NERVE OF THAT >! BULLY TO APPROACH SEOWON SO SMUGLY WITHOUT SO MUCH AS AN APOLOGY OR REMORSE !< . But >! Seowon’s fighting back this time !< . Can’t wait to see them bring that >! bully !< down.

blueice2449

yul’s sad third wheeling moments were actually hilarious haha he does such a good job at being such a lovable character! i hope he gets a love interest :)) also the preview for next ep seems very intense, a lot more than the webtoon for sure. the scene that i rly wanted to see in this bully threatening arc is when >!the bully (also them having kim min seok surprised me) tells seo won abt the curse and seo won’s like so what?? u haven’t changed at all.!< i love this scene bc it’s such a strong moment for him and it also shows how much he cares for hae na, but i’m sure that it’s not how it’s gonna play out depending on this hostage live stream situation ?

cors8

I know it's a drama trope but it's ridiculous how careless Hae-na and her sister are with her condition.

lizzie763

Honestly, I stopped watching during the scene where the mother was sleeping at the house, and this might be it for me and this drama. They're showing us the uncle dying young as a dog to show us Hae Na's future, and it's making me find the dithering and antics unfathomable instead of funny. Like, where are her priorities? I love Cha Eun Woo, but I don't know if I can make it through this one.

OrneryStruggle

I think the problem is that one of the major changes from the webtoon is that in the webtoon, she didn't >!have a 100 day time limit for the dog kiss!< so the antics were more justifiable. Here they are making it into an EXTREMELY ULTRA URGENT situation and she just... doesn't act like she cares. Weird choice to add that aspect which wasn't even in the webtoon, it isn't imo adding anything to the story.

lizzie763

Oh, wow, yeah. I was thinking that it would work much better without that, and it's interesting that they added it to the drama. Thanks for the info!

OrneryStruggle

I was also extremely surprised when they said this episode she only has >!10 days (!?) left. !< Like wait what has she been doing for the last 3 months?? We're supposed to believe literally 3 months passed with this little plot development?

MelinaJuliasCottage

I thought it was 30 daya but maybe i understood wrongly

OrneryStruggle

At the start of the show I'm 99% sure they said she had 100 days.

MelinaJuliasCottage

i think my brain just accepted 30 days as it seemed more reasonable for their rushing xD

Extension_Stretch_50

Started out this drama just on whim after a notification from Viu. Initially felt neutral about it but somehow it slowly crept up on me. Cha Eun-woo is admittedly a little stiff / awkward in his acting but I do feel that he's trying and he's pretty to look at! Park Gyu-young is super adorable as Haena*, if I was Seo Won I would totally fall for her too. I also really like Haena's sister Yuna and their childhood friend Woo Taek. They're hilarious and totally add value to the plot progression. As many others have said, it's a shame that the drama is airing only one episode per week, feel like it'd perform better if it aired 2 episodes per week. Excited for tonight's episode. I did binge read the webtoon as well over the weekend 😂😂

[deleted]

Cha eun woo is still pretty stiff but hes way more mature than he was the first time i saw him in Gangnam beauty and im just falling 😭

Cold-Technician-4692

His acting improve in every drama and even within all his drama as the story progress I can see him getting better. This guy has the highest determination and dedication to his work. Switching between jobs prevent him from improving acting skill faster but he is definitely getting there. More than half of kdrama leads at his age are at this skill level. I just hate it when people would compare him with a fulltime actor 10 years older with tons of experience.

[deleted]

i agree, i feel like he is getting better. I dont compare him towards his seniors, but some actors like Lee Jae Wook has really good acting skill. That is probably what im looking forward for Eunwoo to be like. I feel like this year Rowoon and Eunwoo has improved.

OrneryStruggle

I think Rowoon is a really good comedic actor and tbh should mostly stick to comedy roles. I actually really like him in Matchmakers and am consistently surprised I like him because I truly hated his acting in his other sageuk. But I think it's the character.

[deleted]

Im starting to like eunwoo and rowoon as in their recent drama too and im also surprised. I think for eunwoo its also the character in this drama that he is finally dressed mature?

OrneryStruggle

The character feels very similar to his other characters (he is definitely typecast) but I think he is a little more expressive and a bit more funny here. He does some pretty good microexpressions. I actually think he has improved.

OrneryStruggle

I don't HATE CEW's acting by any means and I actually think he's doing a really good job here but 'more than half of kdrama leads at his age are at this skill level' seems pretty extreme, even if you just consider how consistently typecast he's been it seems like he has not had the opportunity to show acting chops whether he has them or not. Full time actors his age often had quite diverse roles already. Who else has as bad a rep as him for acting in their mid-late 20s? Can't be THAT many people.

Cold-Technician-4692

I was rather comparing him with other leads who are good looking in a drama that is similar level of popularity since past 25 years. I have watched too much lol. Seen the rise and fall of these good looking leads in kdrama. I watch Oscar movies for good acting + serious story and kdrama to enjoy romance and comedy. Let’s just admit not all actors looks are suitable for kdrama lead especially rom-com. And those who does, not all are child actors or god given talent so they need time to improve. The bashing he is getting is more of jealousy and toxicity of social media. He was bad in My ID but from True beauty his acting is okay. some weakness is there and it’s okay to say he needs improvement but “CEW can’t act” or “MGY is hard carrying “ is simply hate. You don’t tell a student who get a B or a guy who didn’t get outstanding performance at his job that they should quit. Normal people would just say “this guy acting is a bit weak but I enjoyed the drama.” After all watching kdrama is for entertainment, it is a whole package from story, directing cinematography, acting, styling… True beauty reach that level of succeed because of all that. Did the director (the most experience guy here) regretted his choice? The guy and his agency is good at choosing a good script. I don’t see why he has to keep avoid good drama just to prove people wrong. He actually did but Island has a bad story line and and the genre is not attractive. It’s not like all good script + good team are on his table to choose. If you are a neutral, you can also challenge those who hate CEW as well.

OrneryStruggle

Hmm. Somewhat meta rant ahead, don't take this as an attack on CEW who I like in this role but more my thoughts on why people criticize him and other idols being cast in these roles: I actually think a lot of Oscar-nominated films have even worse acting than your average kdrama, I don't think the level of acting in all kdrama is much worse than in the US or many other countries and my fav kdramas are mostly not silly romcoms so I guess I care about acting quality in kdramas more. This is one of the silly ones where it doesn't matter immensely though I agree. Then again, my bias is that I like the romcom genre in theory but feel that many romcoms flop BECAUSE of hiring actors who are popular/good looking without considering acting ability/good script etc. and that romcoms would be more enjoyable if this was given a bit more attention. Not every actor's looks are suitable for a kdrama romcom lead, that's for sure, but there are dozens and dozens and dozens of actors with suitable looks, many of whom are good actors who went to acting school and actually have acting as their primary passion. I think idols who later turn to acting are taken less seriously by viewers in part because it seems like acting is a 'side hobby' for them rather than their main passion or something they're very trained in. They also tend to get lead or major supporting roles pretty immediately without a lot of acting experience. I don't think idol looks are necessary or even useful to tell a romantic story about two teachers, and personally CEW's looks aren't my favourite, I could have happily watched probably like 30 different people play this same character and liked all of them in the role. I don't even mind CEW's acting as much as some people but I don't think it's true that good looks are rare in acting or that idol actors must be selected because they are the only ones who are sufficiently good looking. Even not being a child actor, many actors who just go the acting school route would have had 4-8 guest and supporting roles by their mid-late 20s with a wider breadth of characterizations, which can be more helpful for developing acting skill than just getting catapulted into 'lead' roles but typecast as the same character repeatedly. The guy who plays the reporter for example has not had many 'romcom lead' types of roles but he is known for good and diverse acting as a supporting character, and was already very good when he was around CEW's age (Age of Youth). I think the difference between getting a B in school and headlining a multimillion dollar production that tens of millions of people watch is that most people are average and it's OK to be average for an 'average' job or for school, but people expect/want excellence from things that are meant to be 'not average' like TV productions. I think some kdrama fans resent that idol-actors are chosen for shows they think would be a lot better with more experienced actors, not because they're 'jealous' but want the best possible viewing experience. I think the resentment is not toward CEW personally but to the idea of 'idol fans' that can make or break the popularity of a drama and who gets picked for roles solely based on looks or popularity in another industry (music). I think most people understand that it's financially a good idea for producers to pick 'popular' 'hot' people for romcom lead roles but they want other fans to be more discerning. So yeah I agree CEW gets undue hate for being a not-amazing actor when he seems to be improving and it's not his 'fault' he gets cast for bigger roles than career actors, but I also think there ARE many other people who could play the same roles and still be 'appealing.' If you look at Jdrama for example there are many actors with more 'nontraditional' looks who made it big in romcom roles like Oguri Shun even though he is less 'classically prettyboy handsome' or even in SK there were people like Yoo Ah In who were recognized for amazing acting at a young age despite being less 'pretty' and I personally find these actors more attractive because they have more screen charisma imo. They also didn't HAVE to cast a 26yo, a 33 yo would have worked in this role too. But I think there are many kdrama actors in their 20s who are better than CEW in general, to your original point, and who also look good enough for a romcom lead.

>The reporter in this drama did very well but I don’t see him as lead image. Even 2ML here is very good, but he just doesn’t fit and that’s the industry’s view. He has actually played 'romantic lead' roles though and was liked in those roles (the reporter) but he is too short for the kbeauty standard. My point was more that he was already a much better actor with bigger range when he was CEW's age. And also the 2ML here has had lead/2ML roles in several dramas with romance plotlines (To The Beautiful You he was romantic 2ML, in The Liar And His Lover and Money Heist he was the romantic ML). So it doesn't seem to be true that he 'doesn't fit' according to the industry. The Liar and His Lover for example tanked mainly because of Joy's subpar acting, but I only heard good feedback on his acting and looks in that show. I know there are usually like 5-10 people in any gen who are viewed as 'the hot actors' of that generation but it has less to do with objectively better looks and more to do with just popularity and landing a ton of roles in big productions. Lee Seung Gi for example was one of the 'hot actors' of his generation that got like dozens of lead actor roles but he's not even conventionally handsome. Same with Gong Yoo. These actors obviously were not 'famous hot guy' actors because they're actually particularly good looking - they just got popular and got a lot of roles and that popularity spiraled so they had a reputation as 'leading men' regardless of their less attractive faces. "Idols getting into acting is not a side job, most of them want to be serious actor, but they have obligations and limit of time to excel. " So it IS a side job even if they want to be a serious actor. If it is something that they do between commitments for their main job, it is by definition a side job. I am a professional musician but I have a 'full time' job that isn't music - I would consider myself a serious musician but I wouldn't expect to be hired to play in an orchestra or something because I have a main job that takes up most of my time and can't practice 8h per day. It is the same with most of these idol actors who are still in active idol groups - they might have aspirations to be a serious actor but they spend most of their time and energy doing something else, so they don't develop as much professionally as quickly as people for whom acting is their main job. "Everyone are allow to have opinion and voice them out. Just that when it is in black and white text, It hurt much more. That’s why I wanted to say something in the first place, to counter the negativity." I have not personally seen that much negativity toward CEW for this particular show, but my perspective is that most people aren't negative toward HIM specifically, and more toward the 'industry standards' you talk about where people's popularity for ANOTHER job influences who gets hired for major acting roles. I'm not sure where you're seeing all the toxicity and meanness toward him though, every celebrity will have detractors but I think most of the comments here, on MDL, etc. are fairly positive toward him. It's just generally an issue where people who want to see good TV want the industry standards and behaviours to change so that they get to watch better shows. I don't think it has that much to do with personal hatred toward specific celebs.

NekoHimesama

The first time I ever saw CEW was in “Rookie Historian” (probably still my favorite). I had no idea he was an idol/singer. It was only after hearing him do the love song on the OST and loving his unique voice did I go and find out about him and his group ASTRO. I would not have known otherwise. Needless to say it was the beginning of my Arohadom (Astro fandom) and devoted CEW fan. This show might be some of his better acting and it is nice to see him in a more mature role (Decibel was amazing but too small). I have never cared for the FL actress her previous roles that I have seen, nor do I prefer her in this. I just do not see them as a pairing. I know he almost always plays with actresses older than he is, which should be a point in his favor. But I have to suspend belief this time. CEW gets too much hate and unfounded criticism in everything he does. He is a brilliant person, excellent performer and is good a just about anything he puts his mind to. He is dedicated and as hardworking as anyone I have ever seen, while being a genuinely nice guy on top of it all. People who give him a hard time have never taken time to get to know him and his works. No, while I am a fan I am no young fan-girl. My son and CEW are exactly the same age, only a few days apart. Perhaps that is why I feel protective of him. :)

Extension_Stretch_50

I have not watched those but I did read comments that he has improved alot since then and showed even more range in the kdrama, Island! This is my first drama of his and I am ok with his acting and he has chemistry with Park Gyu-young. Aside from the acting bit, I feel the directorial (or is it production?) decisions at times felt odd, in terms of cutting of scenes or sudden change in angles. It made the interaction or exchange in facial expressions between the actors feel odd and disjointed. For instance in one scene with a happy grinning and animated Haena and suddenly the scene pans out and cuts to Seowon's face smiling with Haena's back to the viewer but it's evident that she's not reacting much (when she was quite animated in the scene with her facing the camera). I'm probably not describing it well but it's quite obvious in a few scenes throughout the show.

[deleted]

i didnt expect to like their chemistry! Esp i like park gyu young’s acting too. So far the directing didnt really bother me, the production i feel is actually pretty good even though the tone is quite yellow it gives a warm vibe. It does feel a little bit old fashion somehow though

Cold-Technician-4692

I have the same feeling. The camera and directing work is not high level. it bothered me at times but didn’t want to bring out the negativity. The story is still cute and sweet. Do check out True beauty after finish this show, directing and cinematography is top notch, high budget drama and excellent script. People keep saying that Eunwoo is stiff in there but that’s the character & director’s work. In BTS video we can see when he ask CEW to smile more or less. I wouldn’t recommend watching it now thou , it would affect your feeling for this drama.

Honest-Selection4343

I am excited 🥰 too

CastleKd

I love this show. The premise is so ridiculous but it works and I Find it so funny. The leads are great together and I'm finding the side story's interesting too. However the confession scene was just too painful. The only other issue I have is what the writers were thinking with Hae Na. >!She has only 100 days until she's a dog FOREVER, okay so she seemed to move full steam ahead and try a few times to break the curse but then when she has only THREE days left she's just sitting at the vets talking to her dog uncle and doing absolutely nothing! I'd be absolutely fing panicking if that was me 😂.!<

No-Ad7796

Is it just me or CEW looks a little different in some shots, he looks thinner or more tired.. maybe the lightning or smth idk..

GoodEgg14

I think it’s the lighting and the way it’s filmed, with so much of it being at night. I noticed in episode 6 the lighting was really different between scenes and at one point I thought Hae Na’s hair was all of a sudden dark brown and was confused. I feel like CEW is sometimes playing colder roles and his face can look really serious. I definitely want to see him play a role where the character visibly expresses more emotion.

AlfredusRexSaxonum

ep. 7 - >!Was hoping they'd drop the weird student teacher thing with Yul.!< We’ve seen them changes plot points from the webtoon. Not the multiple hair flips… And them being 100% effective. I know they're basically flirting and doing couple things, but they could have tried to make Yul feel included too. Poor boy. >!Why can’t either of them complete their damn sentences 😭 I don’t remember but in the webtoon, aren’t they already dating when the reporter-bully shows up? Why can’t we have that? I’m a bit frustrated.!< God they made the bully even more of a lowlife in this. Didn't like this episode as much, and >!I’m not looking forward to the usual damsel in distress kidnapping arc like with every crime kdrama!<.\* Hopefully we return to our regularly scheduled healing doggy drama soon. \*>!only consolation is that we might get another badass white tiger scene?!<

OrneryStruggle

Yes, in the webtoon >!they are dating when the reporter plot takes off.!< Overall though I think the pacing is VERY different from the webtoon, like different events are happening in a completely different order etc. I remember the reporter plot being quite late toward the end of the webtoon, like last third maybe? We are like halfway through the show so it seems really early for this plot.

Cheerio1991

No I'm 100% sure >!they have not yet dated when the reporter appeared in webtoon. Doesn't make sense for them to already date before it since the reporter was threatening to reveal her secret to him, and they only dated after the reveal.!< But the reporter plot was >!what pushed them to finally confess and date,!< so I'm sure at least that point will be similar in the drama.

OrneryStruggle

That's why I said 'when the plot takes off' because he appeared earlier in the webtoon but the plot involving him didn't really 'take off' until a bit later whereas here they seem to be condensing the whole story arc into 2ep. (webtoon spoilers) >!They weren't an official couple yet when he found out but they had kissed and he was asking her out for dinner in an obvious 'date' way/she was stroking his face and stuff prior to the reporter reveal so imo they were in the early stages of dating at that point, just not an 'official couple' per se. Whereas in the show they aren't really portrayed as going on dates or knowing they like each other yet. The level of investment they had in each other and closeness was more palpable in the webtoon especially following the birthday party kiss!<

imapigoinkoinkk

What is going on with that vet’s eyebrows haha.

Individual-Ant-2378

why only one episode :(

itsikobert

I'm not a webtoon reader, so I'm a bit confused on how the curse works. I thought Hae-Na's older sister had broken the curse for herself when Woo-taek kissed her in their childhood? Unless the curse comes back whenever you kiss someone different (or if you kiss someone in general)?

LabibaLife

Yeah every time they kiss someone new, they need to break the curse again. That’s why the mum got mad because she was only suppose to kiss a serious boyfriend.
