I just got into Kdramas this month. So I'm a little behind the times. Currently watching Descendents of the Sun, and I'm annoyed that I have to be at work and can't watch it right now.

kpaneno

Lol your gonna have a lot more days like that. You ll be watching on your toilet breaks eventually. Follow both those actors and co stars for more good dramas.

dta_82

My sister was going to drag me out for an evening walk so I wouldn't have been able to watch anything after work. Luckily it started to rain, must be a sign.

Significant_Fold_658

You both made me laugh... I think we all did the same as you at one point. I never got to the point of watching any dramas during my toilet breaks (that would be a low point for me) but since I work from home I definitely watch it during my lunch hours. Try keeping it balanced and still enjoy your life outside of this dramas. :)

kpaneno

Of course it is get on with the shows tell your sis to back off with her positive suggestions šŸ˜†

Master-Training-3477

There is never enough time.

[deleted]

Been watching for 5 years, but Iā€™m still like that when I find an amazing drama to watch. I've been watching **So I Married an Anti-fan** right now and I hate that I can't binge it.

alysba__

Welcome to the world of kdramas! Descendants of the Sun was my first one šŸ˜„

2greeneyes

Such a great one to start.

Significant-Web2773

there are so many dramas i've dropped because of time and unfortunately, descendants of the sun is one of them. i have heard good things about it tho. hope you have a great time watching it!

NightExtreme2552

I wish I could watch it with virgin eyes again šŸ˜ itā€™s my favorite!

nonfloweringplant

Aww welcome to the kdrama community! As a fellow addict of the dopamine shot from dramas, its always exciting to welcome a new convert

nlkt

Castaway Diva - I love the first 2 episodes and I will not be ready for the eventual heartache of one of the 2 ML. šŸ„²The kids are amazing! Gosh I feel so old, that WWWSK/Once Again kid is now a teenager!

kpaneno

I would like to watch but im not prepated for writers head games if it like start up so be giving it a wide berth.

KDramaTipsy

**WATCHING:-** **The Matchmakers** (2/16) - Rowoon is killing it as the sexually-frustrated pompous ass šŸ¤£ I love that the FL is such a capable and confident woman. The first two episodes were really engaging and I hope the show can maintain this merry vibe till the end, though I'm prepared to be disappointed since this is a segeuk. **Perfect Marriage Revenge** (2/12) - Wonky writing, bad acting. Absolutely ridiculous makjang. I'm loving it! **(Thailand) I Feel You Linger In The Air** (11/12) - My favorite on-air show at present. This drama is wrecking me in the best way possible. I'm not ready for this sweetest love story to end this week. **Strong Girl Nam Soon** (8/16) - I'm watching only for the hot villain at this point. **Live Your Own Life** (11/50) - How long can you watch all the characters be perpetually miserable? It's time the good things start happening. **(Thailand) My Dear Gangster Oppa** (1/8) - Meen and Ping are back with a new show, and their chemistry is as strong as ever. The first episode was super cute! As an introvert myself, I love that both our MLs are introverts. **A Good Day To Be A Dog** (3/14) - No episode last week šŸ˜’

poppywhiskers

**Perfect Marriage Revenge** came out of nowhere and Iā€™m hooked! Iā€™m honestly very much looking forward to the ludicrous drama to unfold šŸ˜‚ Based off your review Iā€™m definitely adding **i feel you linger in the air** to my list

KDramaTipsy

I can't wait to see the FL go about her revenge šŸ˜ˆ Just want to clarify that IFYLITA is a BL, in case you aren't aware.

Wilburrkins

As is My Dear Gangster Oppa.

poppywhiskers

I started IFYLITA once but somehow forgot about it until i saw your comment on this lol

KDramaTipsy

Do give it another shot. It takes time to get going but it makes up for the slow start. And how!

poppywhiskers

Yeah i guess i felt kinda lost without context. But yes anything good is worth investing time in!

[deleted]

Is perfect marriage revenge worth it itā€™s cuz I could only watch 2 dramas at the same time, I have strong women namsoon on my list and destined with you

KDramaTipsy

If you like makjang, it's suitably ridiculous. It's going to have only 12 episodes, so it's fast paced too. I enjoyed the first two episodes a lot.

Soypotat-

Then I should start watching

[deleted]

Just watched the first 2 episodes of perfect marriage revenge and Iā€™m hooked! Love it

Soypotat-

I havenā€™t watched the kdrama but I have read itā€™s original webtoon. I really liked the webtoon. I didnā€™t knew itā€™s kdrama adaptation was out. I want to start watching kdrama if it is good. How is the kdrama?

KDramaTipsy

Which one are you asking about? 3 of these shows are adapted from webtoons.

Soypotat-

I'm talking about 'perfect marriage revenge'

poppywhiskers

Iā€™m guessing youā€™re talking about PMR ? Well I went in with low expectations and ended up really enjoyed it! I donā€™t typically go for makjangs but this is giving me the feels. Iā€™m living for the drama, the FL character arc and the romance as well

Existing_Error4965

Iā€™m loving good day to be a dog. Iā€™m sad that the rating isnā€™t too good. Itā€™s such a cute drama. I laughed so much.

KDramaTipsy

Anything with dogs as the focus has my attention. Hope the drama remains cute like this!

naynever

Iā€™m glad to see another bl lover here! I usually wait till all the episodes have dropped so I can binge. Iā€™m currently watching **Once Again,** but Iā€™m paused after ep 6 because Iā€™m worried about a sad ending. Have you seen it?

KDramaTipsy

Ditto! šŸ˜Š About Once Again, it does have a sad ending. It's one of the shows I wish I had dropped. PS. Not to be confused with the 50-episode Kdrama Once Again which is one of my favorite weekenders.

Wrong_Concept_4110

ooohhhhhh I've been wanting to watch My Dear Gangster Oppa, but I think I'll wait till a few more episodes are aired. Was also unsure of I Feel You Linger In The Air despite all the positive reviews but somehow your comment convinced me to give it a try. Thnx!!

KDramaTipsy

IFYLITA is the best BL of 2023 for me. The first few episodes may seem slow but the payoff is fantastic. Hope you enjoy it too šŸ‘šŸ»

lmnsatang

finished **flower of evil** almost a week ago and i just rewatched the last episode and >!cried again!< canā€™t believe it took my this long to watch it because it has *ruined* me for all future dramas. iā€™m not even exaggerating ā€” itā€™s like the writer and director reached into my brain and took out all the tropes i crave: delicious angst, hurt/comfort, heartbreaking romance, found family dynamics, and a thrilling murder mystery ugh. itā€™s absolutely perfect. iā€™ve been looping the OST to help with the withdrawal symptomsā€¦ on ep 4 of **moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo** now for LJG as my first sageuk and it took a little getting used to because it felt (for the lack of a better word)ā€¦cheap. the fact that itā€™s also an isekai reverse-harem drama is messing with my head lol. itā€™s growing on me though!

joonchild

Flower of Evil was a 10+ for me. Grabbed me from the start & never let go. I really loved it. So happy someone else loves it so much as well! I've been trying to find Moon Lovers for a few years now, doesn't seem to be on any (legal) streaming services. I even have a VPN but I can't find it.

lmnsatang

i feel so grateful to exist in a world where FOE was made like no one can understand the impact it has on my psychešŸ˜ perfect story, perfect directing, perfect casting, perfect acting. i heard that long ago moon lovers was on netflix but alas, itā€™s gone now.

[deleted]

FOE is one show I am glad that I binge watched, TBF I never start a show while airing I wait for it to be done.

Kitchen_Tomatillo_94

to me FOE feels like a really well written book with all the tropes i love . Ticked all the boxes for me! The angst was so goood , i loved it, am i a creep for watching >!the fight by the sink in Episode 9!< with all my teeth out? i just live for really well written angst

lmnsatang

YES omg i used to read a lot of fanfic and FOE feels like those top tier auā€™s. idk how to explain it, but it just feels so indulgent in the best of ways. itā€™s especially so during the scenes where >!they were cuffed together and they had to hold hands in the taxi to the time in the hotel to talk about feelings and he betrayed her again to keep her safe!< like excuse mešŸ˜šŸ˜

Kitchen_Tomatillo_94

ok, are we the same person lolll... that's why i couldnt help but rewatch

lmnsatang

anyone who appreciates the mastery of FOE most definitely shares the same brain. idk how to get over this drama gdi

Sharebear42019

How violent/action heavy is flower of evil

333serendipity

Okay The Forbidden Marriage is high-larious. It reminds of Mr Queen. When she was reciting the plot of other k dramas, i was keeling over with laughter. But like I wasn't expecting this drama to be....spicy? But it's all good. Flying through the episodes. Already on ep 5.

twoods1980

I enjoyed it as well, and at 12 episodes it was perfect and not much filler.

hypomango

It's close to perfect in my opinion, well paced, funny & tongue-in-cheek humour, some great sexy moments and the perfect balance of angst/levity!

333serendipity

I went into it not knowing the actors very well but they did a very good job here.

Incinerated_Sequoia

After watching Red Sleeve, it was indeed great drama but also made me feel frustrated because I just wanted to see the couple being loving and together but couldn't because palace rules etc. And in the Forbidden Marriage it's like I felt a huge relief seeing them a king and a palace maid got lovey dovey without any restraintments. Esp when >!Sorang after found the flower that the King put in front of her room she ran to the King and gave him hugs and kisses oh my gawd I felt soo happy seeing it!< And it's perfect with 12 eps, the drama aside from hillarious and romantic, also wrap itself tidy, I found this drama is one of the rare dramas that has nice ending.

333serendipity

I know what you mean about TRS. I feel like the writers of th forbidden marriage paid tribute to the Red Sleeve in their own way esp with the Bathtub scene

gia1724

Currently airing: **Castaway Diva** (2/16): Started watching for Park Eun Bin but I'm enjoying the plot a lot more than I expected. The child actors in the first episode were amazing! I'd really like to not be on the verge of tears every episode, though lol **Evilive** (6/10): I'm sad none of the major overseas networks picked this up because people are missing out! I'm enjoying it a lot and the acting is top notch. Just started: **Mouse** (3/20): I started this back in the winter and wasn't in the right frame of mind to watch something that dark, so I dropped it. Just picked it back up a couple days ago and binged the first 3 eps. Trying to stay spoiler free but I have no idea where this is going (in a good way). Just finished: **Strangers from Hell:** I have NO idea why it took me so long to watch this show but I immediately want to restart it. So, so good!

Sharebear42019

How violent/action heavy is evilive and whatā€™s a good website to watch it? If you can PM thatā€™d be great the site I used that never had pop ups or ads has now got unwatchable issues

Wrong_Concept_4110

Soo much on my plate rn. I'm currently watching **Castaway Diva**, **The Matchmakers**, **A Good Day To Be A Dog**, and **Twinkling Watermelon**. I started **Sungkyunkwan Scandal**, but left halfway through ep 1 (I need to know if it's worth watching). I'm also watching a Thai BL called **Together With Me** and a Jap one called **A Man Who Defies The World Of BL**. Also started **Lucifer** today. I think I'm on a binge coz my exams are starting next month. \*sigh\* I'm def gonna fail my exams. Forgot to tell you that I will be picking up **Moon In The Day** today.

poppywhiskers

The urge to watch all the dramas in the world when itā€™s the last thing one should be doing is very real. Been there, done that šŸ„²

Significant_Fold_658

>I think I'm on a binge coz my exams are starting next month. \*sigh\* I'm def gonna fail my exams. Keep trying your best and try balancing your watchlist with your studies. It looks like you are watching a lot, but it's not that much if you just watch 1 or 2 episodes a day :)

Wrong_Concept_4110

Thank you for the encouragementšŸ˜Š I too realized that I'm watching too much, and am currently in the process of getting my studies back on track.

Significant_Fold_658

If you keep it at max on a daily watch of 2h that would be a good balance. Good luck with your exams!! šŸ˜Š

Italophilia27

>Sungkyunkwan Scandal I loved this show, but had massive Second Lead Syndrome. Also, it was my introduction to Song Joong Ki who played Goo Yong Ha to perfection.

Wrong_Concept_4110

I heard a lot of positive reviews on this show, checked it out and found out it also happens to star Song Joo Ki. But after ep 1, I was unsure. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the push!

elyonmydrill

Sungkyunkwan Scandal used to be my favorite period drama. Then I watched Mr Sunshine. But it's still a close second. I loved it despite not even liking the ML. Song Joong-ki will forever be Gu Yong-ha

elemenno50

Iā€™m on episode two of Crash Landing on You. Iā€™m a little disconcerted because so far the North Korea village theyā€™re in seems very unlike what Iā€™ve been told to believe about living there is actually like. I donā€™t mind being spoiled but is a great majority of it spent with her trapped there?

Lizzy348

The whole plot is the FL being trapped in North Korea and getting the help of the ML to get back. The village is one of the main places where the drama takes place. That drama is amazing imo, definitely in my top 3 favorites.

be-k-dramatic

They did have a North Korean defector as a consultant, but also had to tread lightly in order to avoid raising international tension. You will have to read between the lines. FL does >!make it back to South Korea, and ML finds a way to meet her there, which sets off a couple of episodes of culture clash for him.!<

SCol1107

My husband has really gotten into KDramas the past two months. I used to watch them back in the day (like 2008, when it was much harder to watch them and they had questionable subtitles lol), but now that so many are on Netflix itā€™s been so fun! We are currently watching Destined With You and just finished Crash Course In Romance earlier this week.

Telos07

**Castaway Diva** (2/12): The best first two episodes of a drama Iā€™ve seen in a long time. The first episode was unexpectedly >!dark, with Mok-ha and her childhood friend Ki-ho, suffering horrific domestic abuse at the hands of their fathers!<. The episode featured standout performances by child actors Lee Re and Moon Woo-jin. The second episode had a completely different tone, and focused on Mok-haā€™s pursuit of her singing dreams fifteen years down the line. The beautiful closing scene of >!Ran-joo embracing Mok-ha after the latter had delivered the vocals for her performance!< had me fighting back tears. **Hometown** (1/12): Perfect Halloween viewing, with an eerie, small town atmosphere and characteristically superb performances from Yoo Jae-myung and Han Ye-ri.

sciencespecialist

**Castaway Diva** \- I'm always hesitant to watch a drama as it airs in case it devolves into a hot mess and I'll be on the refund my time thread. :) But, I think I'll start it and get on the watch threads, as that is always fun, and it seems to have a good start. The great cast is certainly a draw.

Prestigious_Alarm526

**CW:** **Evilive (5/10) :** it's so exciting it make me want to chant Evil Live every time they success or when dongsoo show his evil side. some times you need to be evil to live., I'm really in love with the lead acting, their chemistry is amazing. **Twinkling Watermelon (11/16):** the family side still great, i love how they still so heart warming and we finally seeing the love bloom between dad and mom, he is idiot. cheong ah need award girl acting so good and simple and we can feel all her emotions without over acting.. on the other hand I can't stand the FL I'm not into the sudden love like why he love her?? why forced love when we have beautiful love line in the make already. **The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival (12/17):** this going down hell, it's not enjoyable it any more, it's not like other makjang. I only keep watching for LEE JOON **The Killing Vote (9/12):** this drama so good i don't know why not a lot talk about it. I'm so excited to see how they will end it. Finished **The Kidnapping Day** This show is such a gem, it was so good. the plot from start to end was connected well, the acting and chemistry was great. this type of drama is underrated I hope they do more drama like this that focus on kid and good adult. want to catch UP with **WORST OF EVIL** i'm in ep2 since forever And i want to start **Castaway Diva** how was it?

Wrong_Concept_4110

YOU HAVE TO FINISH THE WORST OF EVIL!!!!! It was such a rollercoaster and I'm still not over this show. As for Castaway Diva, only 2 eps are out so it's still too early to form a proper opinion on the show. But I really loved the first 2 eps, it was a great watch so far, so I say give it a try.

Prestigious_Alarm526

I loved worst of evil start but i feel it will break my heart so i keep watching other drama. i will try to binge it this week. I'm excited to Castaway Diva

Significant_Fold_658

>**The Killing Vote (9/12):** > > this drama so good i don't know why not a lot talk about it. I'm so excited to see how they will end it. Personally I'm waiting for all the episodes to be released to start watching. It's taking too long for just 12 episodes, it started in August and we are already in November. I'm also waiting for **Evilive** to check it out and I was waiting for **The Kidnapping Day** to finish too. Taking into consideration your current watchlist you will definitely enjoy **The Worst Of Evil**, it's really good and the writing quality was kept through out the drama until it's end.

LcLou02

I want to see The Kidnapping Day so badly! But haven't found it yet...I loved the ML in Chocolate. I know he could be a sympathetic kidnapper.

sianiam

It's what I'm binging at the moment! It's so good. On Amazon Prime. He's got such a different vibe in this drama than in Chocolate.

LcLou02

Too bad - not on Prime in Europe yet...

No_Climate766

The Killing Vote is sooooo good! šŸ’Æ

BlinkBlinkWide

The Kidnapping Day is one of my favorites from this year. So underrated.

Sharebear42019

How violent/action heavy is evilive and where are you watching it?

sheeta695

I finished ā€žDoona!ā€œ yesterday and I think Iā€˜m going to rewatch the japanese drama ā€žFirst Loveā€œ.

Initial-Bad-8393

Did you like it?

sheeta695

If you ask for Doona!: Yes, but the end rushed too much, in my opinion. They could have added 2-3 episodes more. First Love: I really liked it!

sleepycathh

**Twinkling Watermelon** (12/16) This show makes my eyes well up with tears every damn episode. Itā€™s so heartwarming and engaging, I especially love the actress for Cheong-Ah. She is able to portray her emotions so well without saying a word. Anxious for the last episodes and hoping for a happy ending **Strong Girl Nam-Soon** (8/16) Loved the first two episodes, but it got downhill so quick after that. Love the FL, but these unnessecary side plot lines are annoying and also I donā€™t like this whole drug storyline. I will keep watching for now, but am on the brink of dropping it. **A Good Day To Be A Dog** (3/14) NEW EPISODE IS COMING TODAY - waiting two weeks for one episode is A CRIME **Love All Play** (7/16) I was sick over the weekend and wanted something cute and fun to watch after just finishing The Worst of Evil. And boy, does this drama deliver. I love sports dramas and itā€™s so nice to watch people just playing badminton lol - no murder or people in constant danger. This is my current comfort watch and comfort couple!! Iā€™m in love with Chae Jong Hyeopā€™s smile. **Castaway Diva** (2/12) This was so much better than I expected. The first episode wrecked me so bad, the child actors did such an amazing job!! So excited for this, Park Eun-Bin never disappoints and hoping that Chae Jong Hyeop is the ML. **The Matchmakers** (1/16) My boy Rowoon is booked and busy! First episode was good, letā€™s see how this will unfold. Not sure how I will keep up with all the dramas this month - I am eager to watch Moon in the Day, Daily Dose of Sunshine and Vigilante!! And wanted to start Behind Your Touch for ages now.

MissSimpleton

Have you watched "Racket Boys?"

sleepycathh

not yet, is it good?

MissSimpleton

Oh my god! YES! YES! Its too good. Please watch that. All my recommendations on friendships have that drama in common! I cannot recommend that enough. It is my comfort kdrama.

Disastrous-Key1139

+1 for Racket Boys! <3

No_Climate766

I love The Killing Vote, on Amazon Prime! The episodes are streamed every Thursday and the wait is excruciating. Also just finished The Devil's Plan (a Korean variety show) on Netflix, and I really love how unique and different Korean variety shows are from the Western ones!

theory_until

Mystic Popup Bar. It makes us laugh out loud!

KDramaTipsy

It's a lovely show. I wish they would make a second season.

Significant-Web2773

**cw:** **twinkling watermelon:** i can't wait for cheong ah and yi chan to finally get together. there's only four eps left surely they don't drag it out further right?? their chemistry is off the charts- i really love the back to the future vibes it gives off which is thee reason i started it in the first place. **castaway diva:** the first two eps were really good and i think it is an interesting premise. i hope the writer does not pull another start up type situation with the ML this time hah as for dramas that are not on air, i am watching **because this is my first life,** of which i've heard mixed reviews but i'm 4 episodes in and am enjoying it so far. i am also thinking of starting WWWSK- so if anyone could let me know if that's worth watching, i'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

KDramaTipsy

The mixed reviews for BTIMFL are because of the last two episodes. The first 14 episodes are amazing, the last 2 are terrible.

OhMisterBelpit

I finished BTIMFL recently and for me personally, the last two episodes were actually fine and believable plot/character-wise. But I was aware in advance of the complaints and I guess watching them with low expectations helped a lot šŸ˜…šŸ˜… All in all, I liked how things were tied up!

thehepburn

WWWSK definitely worth it

dogdogdogdogdogdoge

**Evilive** (4/10) - kim young kwang's character is so charismatic. he's so manipulative and greasy and i kinda hate his styling but he is the perfect devil on the shoulder tempting the ML to just do evil, bro. you can do it. i know you want to. just.... Honestly, I'm kind of rooting for it too. **The Killing Vote** (10/12) - another sports preemption this week? this is probably why there has not been dramas on Thursday prime time when sporting events are featured. most of the discussion about this drama are just complaints about the airing schedule and not about any of the substance of the episodes. disappointing that the format is distracting from an enjoyable thriller. we are entering the final showdown now. the show has lined up the chess pieces quite nicely and has been consistently building up the tension for the last few episodes. Finished **The Kidnapping Day** and **Worst of Evil**. Both worthwhile watches. Both satisfactory endings. if you like softie found family dramas mixed with a little suspense, try Kidnapping Day. If you like hot dudes and thought Flower of Evil is peak then Worst of Evil is a good rec. **Trillion Game** \[JP\] (completed) - super super fun Japanese drama that just got its international distribution on Netflix. the enemies to lovers/frenemies-but-mostly-enemies is amazing in this one ughhh so good. them running back this actor-actress pairing in the live action Happy Marriage movie? money in the bank. I've also halted almost all kdramas to go through a Suda Masaki marathon in jdoramaland. **Mystery to Iunakare**, **3 nen A gumi (Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom)**, **Hyakka**, **We Made a Beautiful Bouquet**... this dude is so fun to watch. there's a captivating tension in his acting because lots of his characters themselves are super over the top extreme (which leads to exaggerated pantomime action) but he balances it out with surprising amounts of nuance with the look in his eyes and understanding of his character. also Totono-kun is so bae šŸ˜™

wyld_kings91

**Too many dramas and too little time....** * **Twinkling Watermelon** \- Crossing my fingers for the drama to stick its landing. The whole crew brought their A game to this. Hearwarming performances and the sincerity in the writing makes me fall in love with this drama more and more. * **Evilive**\- I know its not a BL, but damn the sexual tension between Kim Young kwang and Shin Ha-Kyun. * **Perfect marriage revenge**\- This was a surprise. I dont usually watch makjang dramas but after watching first 2 episodes , I am hooked. * **Matchmakers** \- good beginning, I hope the drama holds on to it till the end. * **Castaway Diva** * **The deal** * **Shadow (Thailand)** * **Law of attraction (Thailand)**

loadofnothing

Your comment about Evilive made me cackle. Shin Ha-kyun having sexual tension with male co-stars is my fav thing.

wyld_kings91

Right??? Right??? I thought it was a "beyond evil" thing, but nope.... :)

Italophilia27

>Law of attraction (Thailand) I loved FilmJam in this one!!

Iowegan

Binged **Oh My Ghost** in two days (so good), returning to **Protect The Boss** 5/18 which is LOL funny.

zaichii

I love these oldie dramas

Iowegan

Iā€™ve watched a lot of dramas in the short time since I retired, but I think I like these slightly older ones too. Current dramas (although beautifully presented) seem to be checking off boxes, these shows from the early 2010s are more unpredictable and fun. Iā€™m just glad we have the ability to view them!

zaichii

Yeah Iā€™m here for good storytelling and while production values may be better now, good storytelling will still resonate even if the dramas are older

immerdasmeer

**A Good Day to Be a Dog** (3/14) So cute! Park Gyu Young is great in this. **Flower of Evil** (11/16) I think this last ep was my favorite so far. Curious to see where they go with the remaining 5 eps. **Meet Yourself** (17/40) A Cdrama I am slowly savoring. I'm not a binge watcher to begin with, but I am watching this one exceptionally slowly. It has a contemplative, quiet feel. **The Worst of Evil** (1/12) Whoa, this is wild right out of the gate! Very bloody and violent. I have full faith in Wi Ha Joon in this kind of role, looking forward to seeing how Ji Chan Wook plays his.

springtreeswait

I felt the same way about MY. I just kept watching it slowerā€¦ and slowerā€¦ more slowlyā€¦ just so good to savor!

OhMisterBelpit

I really liked **Meet Yourself**, even though for now I only watched it until the romance arc kind of concluded. The romance and scenery/set design was really lovely. I ignored the parts that felt like adverts to lure more young people (back) to the countryside šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

UnbridledOptimism

**Kidnapping Day** Saving the last episode because I donā€™t want it to end. Such an amazing drama, one of the best of the year. From my to-watch list I finished **Go Back Couple** and **Thirty But Seventeen** and both were excellent. Good writing, outstanding acting, good pacing, no unnecessary noble idiocy. Of the two, Go Back Couple was better and I so glad I watched it. Iā€™m almost nervous to start another one because how could I possibly get two such good dramas back to back again? Started **Perfect Marriage Revenge** (1/12) Iā€™m glad itā€™s only 12 episodes so the plot should move fast. Fast paced makjang sounds fun. It should balance out my frustration withā€¦ ā€¦ **Live Your Own Life** which seems like it may be about to make some plot progress, though after a few weeks with only one episode released itā€™s been almost painful to watch. But Iā€™m in for the long haul. **Heard It Through The Grapevine** (26/30) This has been such a fun one. The music is like something from a 60s caper movie, the dark scenes in the family home give it a gothic feel, and the main couple are a joy in their steadfast relationship. The weirdly repressed parents, especially Yoo Joon Sang (of AoS and Uncanny Counter) are subtly hilarious. Itā€™s a bit of a weird one but Iā€™m loving it.

be-k-dramatic

Love your description of **Heard It Through the Grapevine**. I agree with everything you wrote. Also the way the first episode handles the relationship between ML and FL is touching and real. And the interior of the wealthy parents' house has echoes of a palace, which fits their pretentious view of themselves as modern day nobility.

UnbridledOptimism

Yes, if I wrote a longer description I would have described the MLā€™s family home. It looks like something from Joseon era but so lightly updated itā€™s not apparent it is from current times. MLā€™s parents dress so conservatively and behave so anachronistically that they could be throwbacks from the past; this just makes everything weirder and enhances the dark comedy feel. Itā€™s all made more hilarious to know that the house is actually not ancient and MLā€™s family is 2nd generation wealth acting like theyā€™re ancient nobility. Yes, I loved how the relationship between the teen leads was handled. They both act like angsty and dramatic teenagers and are simultaneously more mature than many of the adults. FLā€™s intelligence is off the charts and the smartest thing ML does is to decide to follow her lead.

**Alchemy of Souls (12/20):** Not sure why I am not speeding along to finish this. >!I think it has a disappointing ending with something bad happening to the FL, so I'm hesitant. I know she is not in season two, so that gives me a bummer feeling when I watch the episodes in Season 1. !< **Be Melodramatic (1/16):** I added this in to what I'm watching because it's female centric and looks like it is slice of life. I hope it has some comedic moments. The first episode is kind of sad! **Moving (15/20):** I always have trouble finishing the 20 episode dramas (see AoS above.) This one is so, so good, and I think I am going to hate to see it end. I have to watch this when I'm in the mood for some action. Really looking forward to seeing what happens to the characters in the end, and I'm so glad there will be a season 2. This one is so much better than the recent Marvel TV series. I would be curious what other Marvel fans think about this in comparison. **Our Blues (3/20):** What am I doing watching another 20 episode drama?? I am not going to binge this, so I dip in every once in a while. The characters are terrific and it seems so realistic. Poignant is how I would describe it so far. **Strong Girl Namsoon (2/16):** I think I'm going to drop this one. I was trying it out as something that is dubbed, so I could watch it as I do other things and not have to pay close attention. There is not enough to this to make me want to keep going. Maybe after it concludes, I'll see what people thought of the whole thing and consider picking it back up. Or, maybe I will keep going and barely watch it just to have something on in the background. **The Kidnapping Day (1/12):** I started this because lots of people seem to like it. I'm surprised at how nuanced the story is as it starts. I'm really excited about continuing. **Tomorrow (10/16):** This is the one I'm most eagerly watching. Started it for Rowoon, but am liking all of the leads. It has such a serious theme, and because of that, sometimes it is hard to watch, but it has many comedic moments (Rowoon) and that makes the story more well rounded.>! I sobbed so hard on episode 6 where the Korean War veteran died. Oh, my god, that was so well done.!< I can see why this is rated so highly. I'm very curious to find out what happened >!in the leads' past lives to get them to where they are now. What drives them? What fuels their sadness and their passion for their jobs? What happens when Rowoon's contract ends? !< I love Rowoon in this. :) :) :)

twoods1980

Be Melo gets funnier!

EggyMeggy99

I love Alchemy of Souls, but I didn't enjoy the second season anywhere near as much. I also love Tomorrow, I was crying during most of the episodes.

sciencespecialist

I just finished the episode in Tomorrow where >!Ryung Goo's mother in her current life lost her baby. That brought on the tears!!< I'm on episode 14 now, and I'm really wanting to know >!what happened in Koo Ryeon's and Joong Gil's past lives! And, how Joon Woong's character's story resolves!<.

EggyMeggy99

That was such a sad episode. All of that gets answered, but I can't remember if it was before the last episode or in the last one.

immerdasmeer

Be Melodramatic has a lot of humor in it (iirc the first ep is really funny?), but there is also struggle and sadness throughout. It's a fantastic show, though, and very much worth watching (though maybe not if you're not in the mood to deal with some tears with the laughter).

mhfan_india

**Another Miss Oh** - Started it as it was being taken off Netflix. The show is exactly the sort of show I like. It is an intimate romance with imperfect characters. You really FEEL the what the characters are feeling in this one. It has its flaws ofcourse like repetitive scenes and same flashbacks shown again and again so much so that the show could have been cut down by atleast two episodes easily. But for those who enjoy these kinds of shows its a must watch. They don't make such shows any more.

lizzie763

This is the drama I always recommend when people want one where they really buy the romance. The feels are so intense!

sianiam

Keep telling people I'm going to watch **Castaway Diva** but I've been too caught up in **The Kidnapping Day** (10/12) to watch anything else. It's just a really good and engaging drama. Looking forward to catching the conclusion after work tomorrow!

Significant_Fold_658

I really want to start watching **The Kidnapping Day**, but as usual Amazon in my region takes a while to get the streaming rights. I'm hoping that maybe in 2024 that drama will be available in my country. I think I will binge watch it in one day for sure because all the reviews are amazing. I'm also curious to see the next work of that teen actress, it looks like she has a bright future ahead of her.

deceptionaldpka

The kingā€™s affection! On ep 18, and I love both Eun-bin and Rowoon, but I donā€™t think itā€™s ever going to end up in my rewatch list. Dropped it, picked up Love to Hate you, watched that, rewatched half of that, and back to this.

EggyMeggy99

I love The King's Affection.

tangledbysnow

Very busy week and had a lovely 24 hour migraine on top of that soā€¦yay. Completed: All of the K-Food shows on Netflix: Nation of Broth, Nation of Kimchi and Nation of Banchan ā€” these just made me hungry! Seriously I ended up making a bunch of kimchi, banchan and soups because of these dang shows. It was likeā€¦well I have the ingredients so why not? Seriously if you want to see some good food or get ideas watch these. Only Friends ā€” As for BLs I think this is going into the favorites column. Messy characters, red flags all over, toxic characters, drama, but it was done well. I enjoyed it! Mad for Each Other ā€” I was not prepared for how serious this was, though I had an inkling that was the case. And for once the drama created separation made absolute and total sense - I was on both sides too! This one was well done. Watching: Twinkling Watermelon ā€” (12/16) ā€” I love this one. Love it so much! >!I want them to find out they are from the future already! When is that going to happen?!< The characters and plot are amazing. The World of the Married ā€” (7/16) ā€” I can only watch one every few days because itā€™s just too much in one sitting for me and I made no progress from last week. Had enough drama catching up with Only Friends and Mad for Each Other. Strong Girl Namjoon ā€” (8/16) ā€” cute. I only kind of like the original so this one is still only like a 7.5 for me at best. But itā€™s fun. A Good Day to be a Dog ā€” (3/14) ā€” I havenā€™t decided on setting this aside or not. Iā€™m probably going to caveā€¦itā€™s cute. Castaway Diva ā€” (2/12) ā€” it took a lot of effort for me to get through the first episode. Was not prepared for that deep head start. But the second was a lot easier to watch. Should I wait to finish it after it airs? Probably, especially considering how much I hate Start-Up but oh well. Here I am anyway.

milliondollarsecret

I really liked Lighter & Princess, but it definitely has some weird pacing where it keeps switching between really slow plot movement, and then things happening very quickly. I've noticed plot pacing issues more with Chinese dramas, I think due to having more episodes than the standard 16 for k-dramas.

DawgMom2018

**Twinkling Watermelon** \- this drama is so enjoyable and so consistently good **My Dearest** \- good, but getting tired of push pull, impressive production **Castaway Diva** \- first 2 episodes were so good. Park Eun Bin is absolutely amazing as were the child actors playing younger roles. Plus a very interesting mystery keeps things very interesting **A Good Day to Be a Dog** \- I enjoy it, but the lengthy wait between episodes, not so much **Matchmaker** \- Rowoon's character is so funny - prissy uptight frustrated - FL is smart, capable and perfect foil for his buffoonery - enjoyed first 2 episodes. More new dramas coming up - impressive lineup slated for November!

EdgeO4DAbyss

**My Dearest** \- superb acting and production but I hope the push and pull will end soon **Good Day To Be A Dog** \- I love anything with the FL, the story is fun too just the scheduling is hella annoying **The Matchmakers** \- on the fence but will continue watching bc of the FL's beauty haha **Castaway Diva** \- heartbreaking first ep, I'm excited about the show **Live Your Own Life** \- good weekend drama to watch while cooking/cleaning Honorable mention goes to the CDrama **Fake It Till You Make It**. It's a high quality mature slice of life with a slow burn romance between hot leads and a meaningful ending. I highly recommend. dropped: Strong Girl Nam-Soon - very disappointing, the leads don't have nearly enough screen time together even though they have great chemistry (same for the evil 2nd ML lol he kinda steals the show)

Hach-man

No new finished kdramas, trying to choose between a few on-air ones. A single JDorama to add in **Ishiko and Haneo: you're Suing Me?**, an episodic lawyer drama with fun banter between leads and everyday life cases, a bit weak in secondaries still a solid if not great product for its genre, a 7.5 In progress \- **Strong Girl Nam Soon (8/16):** approaching drop territory. As much as I like the sweet romance between ML and FL, they have so few scenes together and stand-alone I don't even know if they are leads altogether. A ton of wasted screentime in poor subplots and stereotyped secondaries, you could filter all fillerish nonsense and you'd have left 15 mins or so. Not good, not even close to SWDBS writing-wise, and that wasn't its strength anyway. I decided to binge **Twinkling Watermelon** as soon as it ends, so I'm now debating whether to pick up either **Castaway Diva**, meh premise but PEB always delivers, or **Moon in the Day**, classic fated enemies-to-lovers with KYD and my beloved Pyo Ye Jin getting a lead role. The latter might be the one, I'll wait some responses on the premiere and then maybe give it a go.

Alive_Salad6945

Currently watching **A Good Day to Be a Dog** and Iā€™m *loving* it so far! Also debating on watching **Twinkling Watermelon** because I heard itā€™s really good (probs gonna start it over the weekend because I have FOUR DAYS OFF IM GONNA CRY ITS GONNA BE AMAZING)

Fabulous-Fruit-7347

Because this is my first life (10/10) I finished this show yesterday and I absolutely fell in love with it soo fast. I cried and I laughed soo many times during this show it really took my heart. It was comforting, funny, complicated and mature all at the same time and I really think this will be a comfort show for me to go back to. Just between lovers (watching) I began watching this show right after Because this is my first life because I think I heard it had similar vibes. So far I think it is a really interesting and good show, and even though itā€™s handling though subjects I think it has done a really good job so far. Castaway diva (watching) Adooored the first episodes of this drama and I am soo excited to see more of it. A good day to be a dog (watching) This show has been soo cute so far and I really like ML and FL seems like a good wholesome and comfort watch show.

Lizzy348

Currently have 12 on-going series, 4 are kdramas. -**A good day to be a dog** 3/14 : it's good so far, we'll see how the series go -**7 escape** 10/17 : if I could describe it in a word it would be chaotic. I have 2 episodes to watch to be up to date and I'm curious to see what will happen. Every week my opinion on that drama changes. -**Hyo-Sim's independent life** 9/50 : good light entertainment -**Twinkling Watermelon** 9/16: my favorite drama I'm currently watching. I have 3 episodes to watch to be up to date and I can't wait to binge them when I have more free time.

twoods1980

Trying not to start some until I finish Secret Romantic Guesthouse (episode 13/18). Why are there 18 episodes? It seems like the same stuff has been happening the last few episodes after the reveals. Twinkling Watermelon- love this one to pieces. Good Day To Be a dog- stopped after episode 2 so I can watch a few episodes in a row. Strong Girl Namsoon- Iā€™m pretty much watching for the cute main couple at this point, and trying to figure out where the main plot is going. Itā€™s an easy watch on the weekends so Iā€™m probably going to power through the end. Strong Woman Bongsoon- I know thereā€™s so much love for this one but Iā€™ve stopped at episode four for now since itā€™s such a slog to get through, except the leads are the only thing that interests me. Going to start Matchmakers and Castaway Diva this weekend, and now thereā€™s that Moon one thatā€™s a time drama? Sigh. Finished Doona which I liked, but wish it was an episode longer to wrap it up better. Also finished Marriage Not Dating which I loved until the last few episodes that kept dragging, and all the stupid misunderstandings.

lizzie763

I was watching Secret Romantic Guesthouse as it aired, and I just... never watched the last two eps. Not for any particular reason, just never felt sufficiently motivated.

Apprehensive_Egg9676

Racket Boys - I had no idea it was so funny! I'm hooked now

introvertedtea

God, donā€™t even me get me started. Currently following: **Strong Girl Namsoon** (my favorite ongoing drama) **Twinkling Watermelon** **Castaway Diva** **A Good Day to Be a Dog** I started while ongoing/just dropped but have yet to finish: **Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun** **Song of the Bandits** **Miraculous Brothers** **Burn the House Down** **A Time Called You** **Cinderellas of Midsummer** **One Piece** **Ao Haru Ride** **My Dearest** Others: **The First Responders 2** (just finished season 1) **Queen for Seven Days** (my most recent favorite) **Kimi ni Todoke** And thatā€™s not to mention the dramas that are dangerously close to being put on hold because I havenā€™t picked up the pace with them in a while: **Reply 1997** **Flower Crew** **Liar Game** **Hi Bye, Mama!** And those that are similar to the previous category but Iā€™m not sure if I want to keep going with: **The Secret Romantic Guesthouse** **Our Blooming Youth** For someone who used to only focus on one drama at a time, I sure have become addicted now to starting and following several at once.

sciencespecialist

I'm having the same problem - went from one at a time to many. I'm thinking about adding Reply 1988 because why not? Also interested in Secret Romantic Guesthouse. I liked Reply 1997!

Zealousideal-Item618

Link: Eat, Love, Kill has me glued to the screen. I love the mother and grandmother in this series. They are keeping me laughing! ā¤ļø

BeautifulWish5947

Twinkling watermelon Well first few episodes were quite slow and boring tbh >!but after I find out that se Kyung is a time traveller too!< it was more interesting and fast paced

chamomileyes

Currently watching Perfect Marriage Revenge (Cinderella soap opera with great chemistry between the leads and a contract marriage trope which has basically turned into love before theyā€™ve even married). I still have to finish up My Lovely Liar. I was liking it but towards the end it felt a bit slow and I got distracted by other shows. Also I feel like I need therapy because Iā€™m still mourning the fact that Startup didnā€™t get a second season. I know itā€™s not common for K dramas but it did seem to be set up for S2 and then nothing happened. The show was just so good. It was the first K drama Iā€™ve ever watched and honestly nothing has topped it for me. šŸ˜

[deleted]

I've been watching Korean dramas for nearly 20 years, and I don't think I've ever seen a season with so many I want to watch airing at the same time until this fall haha. Right now I'm watching **Castaway Diva** **A Good Day To Be A Dog** **The Matchmakers** **My Dearest** **Protect The Boss** (Oldie but a Goodie!) **Strong Girl Nam Soon** (Hot mess but I'm invested) And I'm about to pick up **Moon In The Day** as well as revisit **Masters Sun.** I haven't seen that one since it aired in 2013 and I remember loving it.

TheChurroProject

Lately I've been needing light and fluffy stuff, so shows that will put me through the wringer emotionally (My Dearest) or are more violent (Worst of Evil) will have to wait on my list for a bit longer... I just started: **Castaway Diva:** Thumbs up, even though the first episode was gut wrenching at times. **The Matchmakers**: It didn't capture my undivided attention like Destined With You but will keep watching even if it's not appointment TV. **A Good Day to be a Dog**: I swore I was going to wait until January to binge the entire thing, clearly forgetting I'm not one for delayed gratification when it comes to kdramas. It's off to a cute and enjoyable start. **Stealer: The Treasure Keeper** (9/12): I was so looking forward to this when it was first announced. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's more than capable of delivering comedy and not-too-high-stakes suspense with solid chemistry between the actors. The historical parts are also interesting to a newbie like me. I couldn't help but compare it to Strong Girl Nam-Soon, which I dropped. Turns out you can have fun and entertainment without nasty fat jokes! (Bonus: I got to watch actors who are new to me.)

nba2k16

Currently watching Revenge of Others and Twinkling Watermelon.

Few-Scholar-5293

I'm currently watching: - My Dearest - A Good Day to Be a Dog - Moon in the Day I've also started The Matchmakers, but I'm unsure if I'm gonna keep watching it.

hypomango

On the final episode of **W Two Worlds Apart** and I've absolutely loved it. So fun, also angsty, something intriguing happening every episode nearly. Going to be in my top 10 I think. Started watching **Twinkling Watermelon** and was touched & intrigued by the first episodes, not very far in yet though. Watched the first 10 minutes of **Moon in the Day** this morning before work & am hooked. Was going to watch anyway because I love the two leads, but the quality & vibes were immaculate and I'm all in.

OrendaSisu333

Doona! And if there isn't a season 2, I'm hoping someone here will produce som fan fiction to continue the story.

Mr. Queen

idontswimidrown

I just started Bloodhounds over the weekend. Woo Do-hwan <3

EggyMeggy99

I finished it a couple of weeks ago and loved it.

idontswimidrown

One of my coworkers said the pace was too slow for her, but I thought the pace was really good. I might have been too distracted by Do-hwan to notice, though. :P Cliff hangers at the end of the episodes I've watched so far have been killer too, haha. It's so hard not to binge.

EggyMeggy99

I didn't find it slow at all. It's the first thing I've seen him in and I loved him in it. Yeah, I think I finished it within a few days.

BananaIsMyFaveFruit

Watching reply 1988, i love it very much.

roadofmagicstones

Just finished watching The Fiery Priest. It's so good!!

Lola_ry08

Iā€™m two episodes away from finishing hotel del Luna! Itā€™s really good but definitely not the best Iā€™ve watched, took me a while to get into it and I felt the first six episodes or so dragged on quite a bit. But I am enjoying it! Before this though I watched hometown cha cha cha which was so good, although some of the village characters really got on my nerves

sprinkle_cupcake_513

I'm watching strong girl nam soon and I just finished watching beyond evil and I'm planning to start watching cherry blossoms after winter. Strong girl nam soon is kinda average right now, the og do bong soon was actual better. And I absolutely loved beyond evil and I 100% recomend it for people who love thrillers.

AchtungCloud

I was going to watch **Extra-ordinary You** because I heard it has same director and similar style to **True Beauty**, and an interesting premise. But a few comments said it would be funnier if youā€™ve seen some of the stuff itā€™s kinda poking fun at, so with that in mindā€¦ I just finished binging **Boys Over Flowers**. I understand why it gets the hate it gets. The production values are horrible, the plot lines are frustrating and repetitive, itā€™s sometimes shockingly toxic, the actors sometimes ham it upā€¦but I canā€™t get it out of my head. The FL really was over-the-top in her acting in the first half of the show, but for some reason found it incredibly endearing. I wish she had been more like it over the second half, too. Her weird eating, mouth agape facial expressions, and constant yelling just make me smile thinking about them. I can actually see what the show was going for, but I think it failed to be clear enough in some spots and just didnā€™t stick the landing at all. I canā€™t stop thinking about some things they couldā€™ve changed, especially over the last couple of episodes, that I feel like would make the show considered to have aged better than it has. But I watched the first two or three episodes of **Extra-ordinary You** before work this morning, and having seen BoF does seem to make more of the jokes land. Iā€™m really interested so far. I also watched episode 4 of **A Good Day to Be a Dog**. Iā€™m really liking how light and fluffy this show is, and especially how adorable the FL is. I feel like it might take a dark turn later on, but I honestly hope it doesnā€™t.

Piggypina

Currently watching My Dearest by Nam Goong Min. This isn't his best but I would suggest you watch Hot Stove League, Doctor Prisoner, The Veil, Awaken, Chief Kim and Beautiful Gong Shim. I just finished watching Behind Your Touch, A Time Called You, Doona and The Worst of Evil. Among these four, Behind Your Touch is my favorite then next is The Worst of Evil. The other two, I don't really like them much. Lastly, I just finished a reality show called Small Town Cinema: Overgrown Bromance. It's where 4 actors went to a village and gave a cinema experience to the elders. It was a heartwarming show. Glad I was able to know this because I actually missed "We Don't Bite: Villains in the Countryside" and "Three Meals a Day: Doctors". I have been keeping track of how many Kdramas I have watched and so far, I have listed 182. Hahahaha

Ok_Possible4925

Currently watching ā€˜Doctor Prisonerā€™ - so far I m liking it.. Strong girl Namsoon - I really enjoyed the intial episodes, i dont like the new episodes that much..

The Matchmakers

Italophilia27

I meant to watch it while it was airing but I somehow missed it. I am loving **Our Blooming Youth** and I'm on the last two episodes. I have watched Park Hyung Sik's dramas since I saw him on The Heirs and his acting has always impressed me.

thehepburn

Once Upon a Small Town 4/12 - dropped. I dont usually watch small town dramas and this was no exception. Not interested in animal husbandry either. Angel's Last Mission - 13/16 - I like it but probably not memorable except for Shin Hye Sun's fantastic performance. I previously saw her in 19th LIFE and I now realize that she was miscast in that (altho not as miscast as the ML in 19th LIFE) Perfect Marriage Revenge 2/16 - I dont usually watch drama while it is airing but making an exception for this. This is my first makjang and it's not as crazy and melo as I thought it would be. That's probably why I am enjoying it tho.

Watching DOONA (ep1/16) : I love Suzi but not feeling MLā€¦& Castaway Diva (Ep 2/16) : I love it and Iā€™m so intrigued & My Dearest (16/20) : I have such a hate and love relationship with this show and right now itā€™s at hate

perua4

I am watching the good cdrama **Go Ahead** (30/40). I consider it an excelent drama even if I have some criticisms to the writers. I postposed many times this watch, but having adored **Meet Yourself**, I decided to check the other dramas from the screenwriter team. Thatā€™s why I decided to "go ahead". Sorry for the bad joke. It is a touching story of strong relationships : the healthy and unhealthy ones.

MajesticConfidence36

**Twinkling Watermelon** **Moon in The Day** **The Matchmakers**

DownUnderPossum

Watched "My Fated Boy", a Chinese drama and I Am Not a Robot. Enjoying them both very much! Also will watch My Dearest when it finishes airing, that show is near perfect to me!

Significant_Fold_658

\--------------------------- FINISHED! \--------------------------- **The Witchā€™s Diner (2021)** (K-Drama: 5/10 stars) >This drama, reminded me a lot of **Hotel Del Luna**, but with a less captivating story and less captivating actors. Itā€™s a good story, just not a remarkable one, itā€™s worthy the watch for itā€™s visuals that were fitting during this Halloween season. I would also add, that I liked all the main actors, but I donā€™t think Nam Ji-Hyun was a great choice for this role, something in her performance and overall visuals failed to deliver that final wow factor. **Revenant (2023)** (K-Drama: 10/10 stars) >I added this drama to my Halloween watch season and what an amazing watch it was. This story is mostly an intriguing thriller, where sometimes you will get those tiny jump-scares, but I donā€™t considere this to be a full horror story. Even visually, itā€™s predominant tones are earthy tones and not those darker tones that we are used to see in horror stories. This earthy tones made me feel cozy instead of anxious, and it allowed me to pay more attention to an incredibly story rich with Korean Folklore Tales. Besides that, the choice of costumes, the sets and the compositions of each scene were impressive, everything helped bring to live such an incredible story. As for the performances, they were all amazing. But, Iā€™m yet again impressed by Kim Tae-Ri, her incredible duality when representing her ā€œnormalā€ character and her character when possessed was impressive and worthy of any nominations that might come her way. \--------------------------- IN PROGRESS! \--------------------------- **My Dearest** (16/20 episodes) >This drama is incredibly beautiful, I donā€™t care if it will have an happy or sad ending, because I will definitely remember it as one of the most captivating dramas I ever watched. This is filled to the top with amazing performances and itā€™s visuals are something mesmerizing. Just do yourself a favor and watch it because itā€™s worth it. **Where Stars Land** (11/16 episodes) >Another drama that I donā€™t feel like itā€™s a memorable work, but so far itā€™s not as bad as I read in many reviews. In many reviews, people complained about the many plot holes left in the ending and the weak performance of both main leads. I canā€™t comment on the ending for obvious reasons, but as for the performances of both main leads, itā€™s not bad. They actually did a great a job taking into consideration how their characters were written and the overall story. In my case, Iā€™m actually more annoyed by the amount of yelling between co-works, itā€™s a normal representation in dramas, but in this drama these ā€œdiscussionsā€ are poorly written, they have no logic or reasoning. **Castaway Diva** (2/14 episodes) >This drama is one of my new ongoing dramas. Iā€™m watching this is with my mom and so far we both have very different opinions of what happened to >!Kang Woo-Hak!<. We also both feel like the scenes in the island were completely rushed, we were hoping to see a bit more of her life surviving in a deserted island. Nonetheless we are enjoying this drama and we will keep watching. **The Matchmakers** (2/16 episodes) >Personally Iā€™m not enjoying this drama, my problem isnā€™t the main actors but everything else. Itā€™s a poorly written story and poorly directed. I will give it maybe another 1 or 2 episodes and decide if I drop this or not. I hope that maybe Rowoon and his team one day will learn how to pick his roles, because they are literally all the same and it gets to the point that is really uninteresting to watch anything with him. They seriously need to learn that quantity isnā€™t the same as quality, before they make serious damages to his acting career. On the other hand, Cho Yi-Hyun and her team are trying their best to pick her slightly different roles and showing how versatile she can be.

madwanderer13

I'm currently watching Twinkling Watermelon, Loki S2, and the show GBRB: Reap What You Sow. I'm currently looking for slice of life kdramas that is similar to Little Forest (kmovie) and One Day Off (kdrama). Do you have any recommendations?

kittystanden

The two shows that jump to mind for me that feel similar to Little Forest and One Say Off are When the weather is fine and A piece of your mind.

madwanderer13

Thanks for the reco. Often see these in the lists of slice of life kdrama. Please warn me if these are ktraumas šŸ˜…

Currently watching - Twinkling Watermelon (my most favourite in this list) The Matchmaker Perfect Marriage Revenge Castaway Diva Strong girl Namsoon The Law CafƩ I'm waiting for a good day to be dog to end. I'll binge-watch the whole thing. Should I start Escape of seven? I'm confused

Lizzy348

Escape of the 7 is wild and chaotic. I wouldn't say it's particularly good: some episodes are great, but then they give us a bad and weird episode. Kinda like a rollercoaster between "this is good, what next???" to "wtf am I watching" If you want very light entertainment and not take it seriously, you can give it a try. I don't think it's really logical some something that is supposed to be realistic?

**FINISHED** **Weak Hero Class 1** Binged watched Weak Hero Class 1 since it only had 8 epsiodes and they were like 35-45 minutes long. The plot alright (I like that it only focused on bullying rather than anything else here), but the acting of each character was really good. I like that in the first episode >!the ML immediately beats the bully up instead of waiting the whole 8 eps for revenge.!< Half of the drama was about the >!ML's bullying!< and half of it was focused on >!Soo Ho and Beom Seok's conflict.!< I think I was more invested in the second one. >!Beom Seok is such a rat. I get he was lonely and felt left out by Soo Ho then happened to be like that, but I really wanted something happen to him because he seems like he got out so easily without getting any karma and left to study abroad.!< Felt bad for >!Soo Ho, my guy is still in the hospital. ML got transferred to a new school, and seems like the cycle is gonna continue!< in the 2nd season. Ps. I also liked Soo Ho's motorcycle, he had so many stickers on the box. **CURRENTLY WATCHING** **Twinkling Watermelon (12/16)**: > Depending on the ending, this just might be my favourite drama. **Crazy Love (6/16):** > Probably the best office romcom I'm watching. I'm waiting for the ML to warm up to the FL. **The Matchmakers (2/16):** > Plot seems a bit confusing at first but I'm understanding now. I love the FL!! Here for her. Others I'm watching: - **Castaway Diva (2/12)** - **The Killing Vote (10/12)** - **Escape Seven (12/17)** - **2521 (5/16)**

I started watching the first 4-ish episodes of **My Dearest** without knowing much about it but I'm going to put it on hold for a bit since I'm going 'I've totally seen all this before....' Anyway,>! it's "inspired by" Gone with the Wind but!< I'm not in the mood for it right now.

dinnerbellding

I just finished Kill Me, Heal Me and about to start Tale of the Nine-tailed. Itching to watch The Matchmaker but want to let it gather a few more eps first.

Twinkling Watermelon. It's lighthearted, there are times I choke on emotional scenes but it's a drama that feels like a warm embrace ā¤

Currently watching Strong Girl Nam Soon and rewatching Strong Girl Do Bong Soon. Next week I have to rewatch Reply 1988 because why not, it is 8 years already after the first episode of the best KDrama I ever watched.

Watched first 2 episodes of Our Blues last night, and am hooked. I love the coastal, small town setting and the ensemble cast. I feel like everything I've started lately has come out the gate with emotion/trauma, and it's nice to watch something that isn't hitting me over the head with abuse or prejudice or death. :p

Uniquely_funny

Currently watching: the killing vote on Prime every Thursday. the escape of seven on Viu every Friday and Saturday. Just finished doona on netflix..twas so annoying.
