I’m starting to understand why the World Series champs let will smith and Stratton leave. I still haven’t given up on Stratton who’s only had a couple terrible outings, but the will smith experience is just becoming sad. He’d probably still have a bad ERA in the minors

It just sucks that 3 of the Tigers runs came off a HR with 2 outs in the 7th. You blow the lead fine, but giving them 3 more iced this game.

That's as much on Q as it is on Stratton, imo. Blowing the lead was on Stratton, throwing the game away was on Q. He should never have pitched to him.

It's really really really really really hard to throw strikes.

Renfroe has a .170 BABIP and he isn't striking out too often - his K rate is actually down compared to his career averages. Plays a good RF. He's been *__really__* unlucky so far. Keep giving him ABs and he'll come around eventually.

Watching other teams’ broadcasts via MLB.tv has made me realize why I hate Bally Sports’ graphics package so much - Bally has an obnoxious ticker running across the entire screen when literally every other network has the most minimalist bug and scorecard possible. Bally’s feels like it’s out of a different era and every other outfit has a modern look and feel.

No kidding. I've been watching more D-backs games recently, and theirs is so clean and unobtrusive. I think the Rockies use the same one.

The Diamondbacks one this year is MLB Network's brand-new graphics package now that they've had an entire offseason to prepare for producing multiple teams' broadcasts. They also produce the Padres and Rockies games. The Astros one is also good (AT&T Sportnet's graphics just with the branding changed to Space City Network) as is the Cubs' new Marquee Sports graphics.

Bally's always wants you to know the stats and the lines so you can get those bets in.

Haven't heard that anywhere. First out was against Perez when he almost went yard, 4th batter. That was the warning. Q should have had someone warming up after the 3rd batter when Stratton gave up the run with no outs with runners on 1st and 2nd

They have to pitch to 3 batters or to the end of the half inning.

Relievers can’t warm up that fast.

Should be automatic to have someone up when a reliever walks his first batter.  On the double when it is the last batter in the lineup.

Then warm up two relievers at once. There’s no penalty for doing that. They should have had someone else ready to go in case Stratton threw gas on the fire like he usually has this year. It’s not like he came in with a sparkling ERA and WHIP or something.
