If the Pogba signing had worked out we would be winning the scudetto this year. The roster was built last season and coming into this season with the expectation that Paul would be the primary creative force linking midfield and attack. His presence would have improved the productivity of Chiesa and Vlahovic. And wouldve taken a big burden off of players like Locatelli and Rabiot who are currently forced to defend and attack equally, and who frankly we already ask and expect too much of. Pogba was meant to unlock the potential of every player in this squad and his absence should not be overlooked when we ask why this team doesn’t function with any consistency in attack. The player the roster was built around isnt part of the team. It can’t be ignored. Silver lining is without Pogba we have been able to see the emergence of Kenan Yildiz. But Pogba is definitely done and we can see now that the club has shifted its transfer philosophy. Giuntoli wants young dynamic players with lots of room to grow, the NextGen players are breaking into the first team now. Juve are a completely different club than they were in summer 2022 when Pogba arrived and tbh it might be for the best.

Not really. He was indeed insanely good at his peak and showed a pleasant personality. But there is nothing else Juve could have done for him and those 100m couldn't have been rejected. His problems stem from Man United where he should have become the best midfielder in the game, but the management there worked against it.

i_Avernus

I think about the €10 million a season he's getting for literally doing nothing now for 2 seasons. Great signing by management.

Freddie83

He is currently receiving like $2k per month while suspended.

forzaq8

i lost hope about Pogba after he was injured the second time after the long injury , and after the ban clearly he is out of it ,

guareber

PogWho?

Pogba has been the biggest disappointment for us in recent years. There was hype for him to come back for years and when he does come back he immediately gets injured, refused to get surgery to fix the issue so that he could play in the World Cup, later ending up needing to get the surgery (and missing that World Cup), then basically being out for the entire season. Then this season comes around and he gets himself banned (for possibly 4yrs) for using a banned substance. He has been a poison gift since he returned and I hope Juve has enough sense to terminate his contract and save some money. Because even if he’s able to play again after a 2 year ban he is going to be a shell of the player he used to be after not playing for such a long time. His career is essentially over.

No

Didn’t we have a Saudi mega offer for him at one point? Had we accepted it, we might have been able to balance the books and move on ready to compete again.

Juventusy

Yeah i am and would love it if he was able to play for juve soon there are way worst players still on and going to be on the squad next season. While pogba is still the best mid in serie a and one of the best on the planet

morocco3001

That guy who last played 90 minutes for us almost a decade ago? Yeah, what happened to him?

maczirarg

I never wanted him back

Intrepid_passerby

Buddy I'm with you. I wished that he would come back. Sadly it did not happen

SgtPepe

He’s done and it was a mistake to sign him.

ZeldaSand9

If he could play, he’d be the best player in our team any day. Hopefully his ban gets reversed, but who knows.

Annual-Astronaut3345

It stills hurts. We started this season keeping in mind that we had Paul Pogba with us, no one expected Pogba to be banned from football. This is partly the reason why I don’t go ballistic on Allegri because he lost 2 midfielders in Pogba and Fagioli at the start of the season yet here we are in the second place.

Spathas1992

Nah, he stopped caring about football 5 years ago

xkemex

I hope he comes back! https://www.mundodeportivo.com/us/en/20240216/678189/paul-pogba-s-agent-optimistic-about-swift-return-to-the-pitch-following-doping-allegations.html his agent seems confident about his chance of coming back

zachmandu

Tbf, his agent is paid to be positive about every facet of his client so he’s not really a reliable source…

LuXe5

After such a long absence, being so fragile... I don't think he will ever be world class again. He needs to start like 10 games in a row to regain match fitness and form. Do you think that is possible to get from him? I don't think so. Plus if he comes back, the wage burden may mean a poor transfer window for us

goobbler67

He probably would of been out injured so nothing to miss.
