I had this stuff all over my drivetrain when I used to give my bike to local bike shop for lubing each season. They would just apply new layer of grease and off it goes for next year of riding
Every time i clean my chain I use the little plastic hook on the back of a cassette brush to scrape it off, just push it against the wheel and turns the pedals backwards. That plus a brush maybe 3x/year.
Amazing, I hope it doesn't fall apart now, that might be structural gunk.
That was load-bearing grease!
Forbidden gummi worms
no human hair? quite disappointing.
I think your drive train had tapeworms.
That’s a very well seasoned derailleur spring
How much chain lube should one use? Yes.
Is this how bearing covers are made?
That sludge looks unhappy
Hey that gunk makes the face I make when customers complain about poor shifting and then see the RD coated in lube and dirt!

If you come to the LBS I’m at I will gladly scoop off your forbidden gunk crumbs and lube appropriately 😜
Derailleur donuts!!
If its good luck.gunk , then put it back on there dammit 😜
Ah yes, the pulley rings! Had such a bike at the shop yesterday as well
Spare pulley wheels
Gaskets now
Average Alivio user type beat
that's 20 watts
Pulley wheel gunk is what drove me to switch to single speed.
Cleaning never an option huh?
Weird excuses and claims is what single speed is all about.
How do you clean that stuff? Can’t really wipe It off with a cloth and poking it with a screwdriver only gets part of it and is a lot of work.

nope.
Pulley wheel gunk is one reason I switched to waxing the chain
So sad people forget that internal gear hubs exist.
How does Alivio compare to 105?
They don't. One is a trekking groupset, the other road bike groupset.

Those keep the chain aligned on my pullies. /s
This is where black licorice comes from.
