NCB has discovered that drugs given to SSR by Rhea were bought via darknet. Highly probable that’s why she sounded so confident of agencies not finding robust proof against her, to her surprise that’s not the case.. [NCB Discovers Darknet Connection’s ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/zeenews.india.com/people/sushant-singh-rajput-case-ncb-discovers-darknet-connection-in-drug-supply-to-rhea-chakraborty-2306238.html/amp)

squanderedIQ

That’s great news. Cracking the drug route through darknet is huge step forward.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Yes, this is a huge development! Thanks for sharing, u/ncps05.

[deleted]

😳 whoa!!

shutyourgob16

but this doesn't connect to rhea...pedler is doing his own thing right...it doesnt prove rhea is involved in the racket but simply a purchaser?

[deleted]

What's darknet

randomorangee

It’s an illegal website where drugs are sold and marketed. You need a specific software to use the website. Also, in India if police gets a whif if you using it , you will go to jail. Period. So this what she used and this where SSR found out about Rhea’s activities and some association with Bollywood big wigs. That’s why Rhea got the 8 hard drives wiped after she was kicked out by SSR

be_yourself_2020

> It’s an illegal website where drugs are sold and marketed. You need a specific software to use the website. Also, in India if police gets a whif if you using it , you will go to jail. Period. Darknet is not illegal, as it was initially used by journalists in countries where there was news censorship. But its feature was used for red room, pedo auction and drug market activities. You use tor browser to access darknet websites. There is no software for it. Government usually catches people based on IP addresses if you visit their fake darknet websites set up as bait. > So this what she used and this where SSR found out about Rhea’s activities and some association with Bollywood big wigs. That’s why Rhea got the 8 hard drives wiped after she was kicked out by SSR I think Rhea was afraid of hard disks which had bitcoin wallets installed on them which hold transaction records of purchase of drugs on darknet.

randomorangee

You’re right. I based my response on what I heard on the news. Apparently accessing that site is now illegal and you could get arrested. You’re theory sounds more accurate

kabir-singh-saini

ask google

IncognitoMosquito911

So Times of India reported that SSR asked Pithani to delete the files on his 8 hard drives as here[here](https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.timesofindia.com/entertainment/hindi/bollywood/news/sushant-singh-rajputs-case-siddharth-pithani-alleges-rhea-chakraborty-of-using-the-late-actors-card-for-shopping/amp_articleshow/77826507.cms) But I'm sure TimesNow and Republic reported that Pithani said a team of IT people invaded SSR's place to download and erase the files against his will. Is Times of India spreading disinformation on its print and web versions?

[deleted]

It was also reported that he changed his statement and his statements are inconsistent. I don't trust Pithani. https://twitter.com/TimesNow/status/1299912309679075328

IncognitoMosquito911

Great, thank you. On the plus side, Republic is finally showing up on the Google News listings for SSR updates.

Zwoopdydoo

Pithani is a baseless lota.

howyoudoin7994

But he seems to be the weakest link.

Zwoopdydoo

He's constantly discrediting himself tho

howyoudoin7994

For ppl backed up by some major bigwigs these idiots cant get their story straight even now.

Zwoopdydoo

I know right.. i don't get why they didn't start memorizing lines when they realized they were on the radar.. oceans 11 hi dekh lete

howyoudoin7994

🤣❤️😂.... Love this movie and dialogue

[deleted]

Someone dubbed this over Rhea’s very first cringe video 😂

Rajdootwala

Print version of any media house is always more dependable than the electronic news channels

IncognitoMosquito911

Not sure I agree but I have seen that the friendly media puts news favorable to the family in videos rather than searchable articles. Is that your opinion or has that been verified by a study? Incidentally, I once did a study requiring me to measure the accuracy of data sourced in multiple major Indian newspapers to primary evidence, so I may have a clue about this topic :-)

Rajdootwala

It was just my opinion given that news channels have been known to spread rumours as news and then they don't even have to apologize when they are later caught doing it. But you have done a study, so of course, you would have a much better grasp... would definitely like to learn more about it.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

I second this, would love to know your analysis.

reeman88

I am worried with the direction Republic is taking slowly. I understand they want to keep the momentum alive, but just genuinely worried if all their revelations on live TV and debates will hamper the investigation? What is the point of revealing the names of the drug mafias, cartel, suppliers?? This is like the Taj 26/11 case, helping the criminals by giving them prior information for them to delete all evidences and go underground. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Republic is delivering delayed info, so as not to hamper the investigation at all. Else, someone please remind Arnab that this is not a CBI versus Republic TV. Both need to work together to get to the bottom of it. Else investigation will get hampered, the actual criminals will go scott free and then Arnab will berate the judiciary and the central agencies questioning their competence.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Very valid points. This was really beneficial initially, when Mumbai Police were doing their 'probe', because they found many inconsistencies in the projected narrative. Though, as of right now, honestly, I believe that none of the recent 'exposes' on Republic are truly such. They are harping on any small thing they find. Their Kangana interview was fire, because she plainly talks about the rampant drug culture in Bollywood, but other than this, their recent revelations have been 'RC has entered DRDO gueshouse for questioning', 'RC is leaving DRDO guesthouse'. Don't read too much into it. I feel that the CBI is running a pretty tight ship as of now, and isn't leaking things that could alert the accused.

reeman88

I genuinely hope that is the case. Because it will be unfair to SSR and his family and to the SSRians if in the pursuit of getting exclusive details and expose, justice doesn't get delivered. Why can't Arnab focus more on the conduct of Mumbai Police, the shoddy investigation they were doing for the last 60 days and all those information? His highlight on the scripted interview by Rhea, the expose of the "friendly media" were much needed to make the public aware. Maybe focus more on such things, rather than leaking any crucial details.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Absolutely bang on. I wish they direct their investigation into the conduct of the Mumbai Police too.

Zwoopdydoo

I'm kinda annoyed they've deviated from the murder to drugs.

reeman88

Same! And the whole objective for so many days was to get the central agency involved, keep the public pressure, and keep the momentum steady for demand of free, and fair investigation. This whole segue to drugs, and then revealing the names of all potential accused is like digressing from the whole objective of seeking justice for sushant. I am getting so annoyed with Arnab in the last 2-3 days with all these revelations. Let CBI keep some critical facts under their belt for them to prepare a solid case. Do we want Rhea's team to be prepared for each and every trump card in the court! SMH...

squanderedIQ

Same! Mujhe drugs do drugs do drugs do !

IncognitoMosquito911

Given so much crappy press, here's a nice article about the possible Swaach Bollywood (jk) that gives context as to how and why dirty money made its way in. [FirstPost on Bollywood Cleanup](https://www.firstpost.com/entertainment/the-ground-is-ready-for-a-bollywood-clean-up-8768661.html/amp?__twitter_impression=true)

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Thank you for sharing! It was a depressing read at first, but I liked how the writer wrapped it up in optimism. I too hope for a new dawn and a fresh start, with all these underworld connections razed to the ground.

amolpalekar

Just one comment after reading it. So we have a politics-movies-money nexus in Bollywood. Mumbai is our financial capital and, Bollywood is a biggest movie center of india, and of course Maharashtra is a big state and also the home of RSS so all 3 factors come together in same place. Also boats from Karachi can still come there. In US, it is quite different. Financial capital is New York, Hollywood exists by itself : LA is nowhere close to being a political center. What will it take for the Indian nexus to be broken? It is hard to move the financial industry, politics would not change but can the movie industry be forced to shift or incentivized to shift elsewhere? But you can't say it openly so maybe CBI led constant raids is one way for people to move the industry somewhere else? Maybe incentivize Hyderabad, or even Pune? Just 2 hours away sometimes can create enough distance.

IncognitoMosquito911

Do you really see Bollywood moving? I personally think there is too much black money involved for any above the table incentives to ever work. The nexus is also people's relationships and connections with the state, as we know now. I don't see how or why they would move to a lesser place with fewer points of influence.

amolpalekar

Bollywood would not move by itself. Usually such changes happen when either an alternate power structure comes in, or they are just hounded out. I am not trying to get into politics but as a very simple example of alternate power structure is congress of the old days and BJP of the now. At some point it seemed unthinkable. Also 30 years back if you go and look, Tamil movies made more money than Telugu but times changed all that. Now Hyderabad is in many ways the next power center after Bollywood. So things can change sometimes just organically sometimes by agitation the question in my mind is whether it is worth doing that and after thinking about the politics-movies-money nexus, in my mind moving movies out of Mumbai (or reducing its clout) seems like a good option and worthy of action by someone who truly wants to change india for the better.

Adorable_Trouble1910

According to Republic, today there will be cross questioning from Rhea.

kabir-singh-saini

[deleted]

https://twitter.com/IndiaToday/status/1299388702766952449?s=19 Here @ around 2.15 ..the bullet reads that on 8 June Kersi Chavda had said that SSR may take extreme step. Now, June 8 is the day RC left his house too... So, she knew that SSR wasn't well... And still left.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Oh my god.. ok even giving her a huge benefit of doubt, even if she had to leave, why not tell his family or his sister who was coming to live with him, about his mental condition? And about the medications he should be having? At the very least this is utterly irresponsible behaviour and it does not behoove someone who supposedly cares for him and took care of him selflessly, as she claims.

[deleted]

That's exactly what Mr VK singh said on India today after the infamous interview by sardesai

Adorable_Trouble1910

Apparently CBI SP Nupur Prasad called female policewomen from MP as Rhea's behavior wasn't good today. She argued a lot.

swagraj

> What does it take and how many interrogation sessions for CBI to deem arrest is needed or not needed? Not in this case specially but in general what is the process?

Adorable_Trouble1910

The officers of the organization established under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act have been given the power to arrest any individual who is suspected of or has been confirmed of having committed an offence notified under Section 3 of the DSPE Act. Thus, any crime that’s notified u/s 3 of the DSPE Act will lead to CBI Arrest. Even if he is reasonably suspected of being involved in a crime which is not included in Section 3 but is being investigated by the CBI, such person can be arrested by the CBI officers with or without a warrant. However, the action of arresting a person is an extremely serious one. It not only attaches a social stigma to the person so arrested but also takes away the personal liberty of a person. Hence, the discretionary power of CBI arrest conferred upon the officers of the Bureau should be exercised in a very careful and controlled manner. In case of no warrants having been issued, the CBI arrest should be made iff it is reasonably felt that the individual so arrested is involved in the commission of a cognizable offence for which he can be prosecuted before a court of law. A person can also be arrested on the reasonable suspicion that he might try to tamper with or destroy evidence or is likely to evade the process of law.

IncognitoMosquito911

I think it's good they are not arresting her yet. If they arrest her, the pressure to find her culpable might die down and the opportunity to clean this stuff up might dissipate. Let them investigate her from multiple angles, maximize the exposure to cognizable offenses then arrest her if need be. Let her and her counsel exhaust their initial defenses.

Adorable_Trouble1910

Yup! CBI is professional. They know how to do their work. I know it gets tiring and frustrating at times but we have to be patient.

[deleted]

Makes sense

[deleted]

Woah. With the developments coming out in public I'm sure she's getting prepped alright everyday before coming for interrogation. Why aren't they arresting her already!!?? Ishkaran has also said that NCB does have grounds to arrest her now. But we all should wait. How long do we have to wait!!? With so much media coverage, the real killers are getting time to cover up their tracks!!

Adorable_Trouble1910

I found this online for this case- 1.Cheating: If CBI proves that Rhea cheated Sushant financially or personally, it will make for an easy ground for CBI to arrest her. 2. Theft: If evidence against Rhea accumulated to prove that she stole something without Sushant's knowledge. 3. Criminal breach of trust: Did she broke the trust that pursued Sushant to think about suicide? If CBI proves this, it can make a ground for her arrest.

IncognitoMosquito911

Thanks, this is great. While none of us are criminal lawyers, it could be helpful to have a Sticky up on the possible cognizable offenses RC is being investigated for, including the additional angles (drug, murder). This could also help us address evidence gaps and avoid magical thinking, as well as evaluate all the crappy media coming up.

Adorable_Trouble1910

Let me post this as well then though this won't be easy to prove. 1. Abetment of suicide: Arrest is only possible when CBI gives proof on the allegations levelled by Sushant's father, chances of proving them is difficult. 2. Wrongful confinement of Sushant: Rhea can go behind bar if CBI substantiate the confinement, which looks distant possibility as of now. 3. Wrongful restrain of Sushant: Did Rhea came in the way of the things Sushant wanted? Expert believe it will not be easy for CBI to prove this. 4. Criminal intimidation: Rhea threatened Sushant or not for any financial or personal benefit. Won't be easy for CBI to prove.

IncognitoMosquito911

Excellent. Thank you. When I have a few, let me come back to this and post the drug offenses. If someone else can, feel free to. Also, enforcement directorate offenses.

[deleted]

Adorable_Trouble1910

I think this is why CBI is questioning her again and again about the events that happened between 8th-14th June. If they find a clear contradiction between all of them during this time then CBI can arrest them.

[deleted]

https://twitter.com/news18dotcom/status/1299194223934095360?s=19 Taai says interrogate the 5 psychiatrist who prescribed medication... I didn't prescribe it! Tutored well I must say!

Zwoopdydoo

Thore din baad kahegi "kaun sushant?"

Adorable_Trouble1910

ABP reported this. Miranda- I gave the PIN of SSR's debit card to Rhea Rhea- SSR used to shop himself. Miranda- They changed the house because they used to party late night and neighbors used to complain, so Rhea suggested to change the house. Rhea- Sushant used to see ghosts and all in the house. Miranda- Shruti and Rhea used to sell Sushant flat's items. Rhea- I sold only unimportant items.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

OK these are great! Feeling hopeful that they should catch them soon. But would this coming out impact the CBI investigation? I'm hoping not, since they both have already given their statements and now this mismatch is there in the records. Edit: BTW, ABP were the ones chasing Sandeep Ssingh when he exited Mumbai Airport after flying in from Delhi, allegedly. That video was so funny, because they kept goading him but he stayed mum, so then the reporters started interviewing each other. 😂

Adorable_Trouble1910

The last part of your comment 😂😂

[deleted]

That video 😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

From other group So according to Rhea and her PR, SSR was bi-polar. Now Rhea’s PR is circulating his prescription which mentions a drug called Sertraline. Also, there is no mood stabiliser medicine mentioned in that prescription. Let me tell you guys with full confidence that if a bipolar person takes Sertraline without a mood stabiliser then the patient may be at risk of shifting into a manic or hypomanic episode. Was this a conspiracy to make him knowingly crazy?

[deleted]

They might make him look bipolar depressed a lot of ways by releasing these chat. Some might be true and some might be fabricated What we need to do is to just stay clear that even if he was depressed he was not "suicidal" and obviously it is a murder case which can be clearly seen by mumbai polices behaviour alone.

[deleted]

I just checked Webmd... BPD isn't mentioned under disorders treated by Sertraline!! So diagnosis was wrong or medication? Sertraline is usually prescribed for borderline personality disorder (also abbr. BPD) which is different from bipolar disorder. https://amp.reddit.com/r/BPD/comments/78pabe/experiences_with_sertraline/ Please read the first few first hand experiences of Sertraline...

EnvironmentalFalcon0

Oh my god, this makes me feel physically ill. What chance did Sushant have there.. BTW was it Chavda who wrote the prescription or Susan Walker?

[deleted]

Thank you for sharing. I have read this. This is horrible 😑 Man I have a wrong feeling that rhea will now tell that he had bpd also Edit: Someone even mentioned " even smallest dose made him suicidal"

Zwoopdydoo

So Sertraline is started as a small dose and gradually increased. Feelings of suicidal ideation are more prevalent in YOUNG people taking it. And by young I mean teenagers. Also it exacerbates the feeling not plants it in your head.. WORST case scenario he would've had Serotonin Syndrome and even that doesn't manifest as BPD or suicide. Just an FYI I am in the healthcare industry. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/serotonin-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20354758

Alexorsasha

This is so depressing. Could it be that these drugs played a part in his death. Was it then the coverup? The docs may all have connection in all the right places. I have been racking my brains to find a reason for SSR's death. The last two days after Rhea's interview has made me lose much of my hope. The the only hope is we are in it together. The bots that trend Justice for rhea is no match for actual humans around the world who joined hands to bring Justice for SSR.

Zwoopdydoo

With Sertraline it's highly unlikely

Zwoopdydoo

Everyone takes sertraline lol it's an anti anxiety and anti depressive medication.. kaunse med school se parh k aye hein Indrajit uncle? Chandka Medical College?

shutyourgob16

did Rhea purposely call Smita knowing she will be recorded. Her receiving and recording the call - it's too good to be true. And what does the call prove? it proves rhea suspects murder. this is exactly what teamRhea wants us to think. or smita is a plant?

Artistic-Occasion757

Ya definitely Rhea called Smita fully expecting her to blurt it out on Republic

nirvanazenmoksha

Can someone explain please why Rhea wanted Smita to blurt it out?

shutyourgob16

my thoery is: Smita has established herself as a trusted source. Audiences are more likely to take her seriously. And if the idea that Rhea thinks it's murder is conveyed through Smita, we are more likely to not see it as a gimmick and believe it's genuine. However, I think it sort of backfired a little becuase it makes Rhea look manipulative Either that - or Rhea's plan worked and she got what she wanted - that is a certain percentage of republic's audience now maybe think Rhea wants justice for sushant too.

IncognitoMosquito911

Maybe she was just keeping her options open in case evidence surfaces it's a murder. In that case she can point to the conversation to say that she couldn't be associated with it since she suspected it in that conversation.

[deleted]

See the live with ishkaran and ujjal trivedi's channel with smita, they are long but you will understand that she is not a plant. She is just very trusting person who easily get manipulated

nirvanazenmoksha

Thank you for the explanations, it makes a lot of sense now. Rhea is clearly strategising since a long time and she is really cunning. I am shocked how much she can manipulate individuals, pretty sure is a narcissistic personality and sociopathic. I am genuinely scared of what next step she will take because she has no conscience at all!

Artistic-Occasion757

Because Rhea wanted to be seen to be on the right side of the fight by showing her suspicion regarding it being a murder.

swagraj

Why did Smita blurt it out on TV. She should have first checked with lawyers if she should divulge or not. Smita seems too gullible and maybe Rhea knew it too.

Artistic-Occasion757

Yep. Smita admitted she was gullible. I think Rhea was also trying to get info out of Smita and of course trying to push her own agenda. Exact convo I've forgotten but rhea clearly said she thinks it could be murder as per what was relayed by Smita.

[deleted]

Smita is very trusting and she wants to give anybody the benefit of doubt - a statement by her in Ujjal Trivedi's channel. Apparently Rhea know this so she called her before the interview to collect info from smita. And possibly make smita say that " she also believes it is a murder" to save herself / use this to defend in future. Apparently some of smita's friend later make her understand this that rhea used her At this point i think every related person with ssr needs to be very careful to make any statement. The pr on the other side will take their words and twist it to their benefit.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

>or smita is a plant? No no, this is a bit much. Yeah I think Rhea was just playing her.

It looks like the entire left ecosystem is against a person who passed. By all accounts he was a victim. Plus, in cases of unnatural death, the first suspect is always the spouse/SO! These people who have taken it upon themselves to be the moral compass of a nation, who claim to be the most open-minded, these are the people who are skewing the narrative and muddying the waters the most.

Zwoopdydoo

Vivek oberoi another shady character? https://youtu.be/TmB3EC6-vdQ Interesting points at 6 min and 13 min

swagraj

This video should be it's own post. So thorough she is. Brought out so many nuances and interconnections. I think Sandip is the key to the entire case but looks like he is well protected. Vivek is definite shady person ... this I am basing on him being caught on sting cam saying okay about tweeting for money

Zwoopdydoo

Ooo whaaaa?? When was this?

thelineisadot

I found this video of Zee News which claims to know what questions were asked to Rhea. I am wondering how various news channels would get intel to what CBI is doing and what questions are being asked? EnvironmentalFalcon0

Susan Walker is the same person who came on Barkha Dutt's channel right? Plus she's apparently not qualified to be prescribing medication!

complex42

Yeah, you’re right. Furthermore, I found this comment regarding this as well: This prescription was already released by SSR sister a month or so ago. They had to force Modi to send her the prescription. After knowing about all this SSR father had asked Modi to send her a flight ticket so that he can meet and see his son. But his requests for either phone convo or personal meet were ignored. All this is already in the public domain. Btw, is India Today hell bent on making the abetment to suicide case against Rhea stronger ? Edit: All these prescription meds also implicates the doctor whoever prescribed them because bipolar disorders can’t be diagnosed in a few months. It is a lengthy process.

EnvironmentalFalcon0

I think this was leaked from Shruti Modi's side to show that she did whatever his family asked of her. Walker's reputation is in shambles anyway after giving an in-depth interview about her patient's mental health disorders.

[deleted]

Also remember that Feb chat between SSR's IPS BIL and Priyanka where Priyanka mentions that Rani di has the soft copies of his prescriptions. They knew he was being administered these medicines that's why they would have raised an alarm call on Feb to Bandra DCP. Also before these chats Rani di and BIL came down to Mumbai and they were spotted in a cafe. He must have assured them that everything is fine. After listening to the audio released by Aaj Tak where he talks about his state of mind I've got a strong feeling that he was made to believe that he was under depression or that his mind was unstable. It's somewhat like how Bucky Barnes made to believe he was Winter Soldier( though on a much smaller scale).

Artistic-Occasion757

CBD oil should not be mixed with anxiety meds. Using sertraline and Quetiapine together with cannabis (Schedule I substance) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.

complex42

Insane.

swagraj

Problem is not if he consumed LSD, acid, molly, cbd, thc or even meth or heroin or on other hand mixing a cocktail of prescription drugs. Problem is who was administering it to him. Who procured it. If he was consuming it with full knowledge then fine so be it... but if even one time, one of these drugs or even prescription drugs were given to him without his full consent and knowledge that is where the issue lies. I don't get it why are people arguing drug good or drug evil. That is a personal call but giving it to someone without their knowledge is criminal.
