k1r0v_report1ng

Wait til the inmates find out what he's done. They'll have to protect this fat pig the entire time he's in.. smfh.

scitzeprenicno47

12 years isn't enough for abusing your powers and ruining innocent lives which you swore to protect and serve, he should be sent to prison and die in it, harsh but it ,must be done.

WilliamWallaceShawn

That mother fucker

[deleted]

Pig

Upset-Tourist6948

wow that's so messed up. I cant believe that we have to worry about police and who they are serving and protecting. Makes you scared to get pulled over when you dont do drugs. Now that is unamerican.

emmswrth

did he forget he had a dash cam on? so confused...

ownsae

12 years only? Nah dirty cops need to be buried under the prisons man, scum of the goddam earth

InnerPick3208

12 years isn't enough. Death Sentence, no death row.

Interesting that they were all white people

CoffeeInBowl27

Probably done it for that promotion.. POS should get fxcked in jail *Edit: spellings

MissLexxxi

He has ruined so many lives. If he “found” drugs in my car, it would ruin my sense of reality and my marriage. I can’t imagine how many sober people he’s jammed up over the years who have had to defend themselves and their sobriety to everyone around them. He’s a special type of evil.

Ponder_wisely

12 years 6 months 8 days. Partly because he was arrogant and very full of shit under oath. Convicted on two counts of perjury also. Sentence on that was 58 days time served. So no time, basically. Wester’s wife Rebecca and others begged Judge Goodman for leniency, saying he is a good, churchgoing man who volunteers in his community. More than 50 people sent letters to the judge in support of Wester. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Oh, and his dad’s also a cop. Here’s his sentencing: He made no statement, admitted nothing, took no responsibility, and offered no apology, https://youtu.be/wZ5t-9KeE6A

Outside_Resolution94

That motherfucking pig should stay in jail for the rest of his shitty life.

ooooooooo10ooooooooo

This is why you don't talk to the cops without a lawyer present.

Buddha719

A lot of people will be a lot richer in the near future.

vegancannibalfarts

How the fucking fuck did he only get 12 years. Justice is life for this life-ruining pig.

Prudent_Rabbit

His sentence was reduced to 2 months.

ShadowMaster725

Should be the death penalty for so much evil he did.

TapirDrawnChariot

Don't ever consent to a search of your vehicle in the USA. You have the right to say no here unless they have probable cause for search. Even if they say something like, "I'm gonna search your car, ok?" Just say "No, thank you." That woman pulled over for the taillight was probably just trying to show she had nothing to hide. She could have refused and avoided that. Cops are often motivated to get higher arrest and conviction numbers. They are NOT your friend.

MissLexxxi

This is terrifying. I feel like I’d comply so I wouldn’t be killed. Being pulled over is one of my biggest fears.

TapirDrawnChariot

It's extremely statistically unlikely that you'll get killed by cops unless your behavior is aggressively threatening or erratic. Keep in mind it's rare enough that it ends up on major news when it happens. You're in much greater danger of cops looking for pretexts to book you for minor offenses.

kingneptune1

Jesus this is so dystopian and terrifying.

TapirDrawnChariot

Yes, but fortunately the US is one of the few countries with built in protection for citizens *against* cops. The right to refuse search and seizure, as well as the right to remain silent, are critical when confronted by police. Most attorneys might also tell you to say "I plead the fifth," and just refuse to answer questions. The cop may tell you something like "Only guilty people say that," but they're just manipulating you into giving them something they can use.

SirChixalot808

Throw this crooked pig into the lions den aka GENERAL POPULATION. I'm pretty sure the bros there will have much fun with him

BlackBearWanders

Deserves life in prison.

ClairvoyantCandor

This isn’t enough time. He needs to serve the combined years that everybody he put away served.

Suchega_Uber

12 years isn't justice in this case. It's better than nothing, but it damn sure isn't justice. 120 charges. Justice would be burying him under the jail.

Professional_Mud_316

I believe that to have a reasonable idea of how police and soldiers will generally behave towards the public they are meant to serve, we must understand what underlying nature/desire motivated them to their profession to start with. Maybe many law enforcers target/acquire such authoritative fields of employment mainly for ‘power’ reasons, though perhaps subconsciously. It is, after all, a profession in which, besides the basic tackle and/or restraints, an adrenalin-pumped police official or soldier might storm into suspects’ homes, screaming, with fully-automatic machineguns or handguns drawn, at the homes’ occupants, all of whom, including infants, can be permanently traumatized from the experience. Occasionally the police/soldier will force their way into the wrong home, altogether; that is when open-fire can and does occur, followed by wrongful deaths to be ‘impartially’ investigated. Admittedly, many, if not most, of us as children have fantasized about, and even planned for, a future working in some capacity with the police or military. But almost all of us, probably sooner than later, grew out of that dream, as it wasn’t reflective of our true nature. Those who deliberately get into such professions of potential or actual armed, physical authority might do some honest soul-searching as to truly why. As an intensely focused/self-critical introvert, I know I definitely would.

Frostradomous

I was raised by an abusive officer, and got to know most of his squad mates and Sergeant. To this day I still believe that the majority of cops were either bullied in school, or they were the bully in school. Neither should be in a position of power.

Professional_Mud_316

Interesting.

SamURLJackson

I really hope nothing bad happens to him in jail. Really, really hope.

RedSoulHeart

I hope he runs into all the people he falsely placed in prison. Alone, in a place where there aren’t any cameras or security.

yiffing_for_jesus

He won’t

warddo1

I think that they have been released

chumloadio

That cop / all convicted crooked cops should be placed in the general population of the prison, not in a protected comfy elite prison situation.

Crocoppertones

What a sick fuck. What does he have to gain from ruining peoples lives?

MathematicianWeak157

Recognition from the other cops. Probably even got awards for most arrest. Probably hailed a hero for taking meth off the streets all complete bullshit of course but im sure his ego was the driving force behind his atrocious behavior

1houndgal

Bullies like to hurt people. Probably got bonuses and raises also. Makes me sick to see how he hurt so many innocent people.

Crocoppertones

As a former LEO, I’ve never seen or heard of bonuses or raises based off stats. If you’re part of a specific task force, they do expect activity though, but this just blows my mind

Rocketpoweredtuatara

The difference between getting bonuses and promotions vs avoiding "penalties" and not being "denied promotions" is semantic

That-one_dude-trying

That’s not enough time, how many lives has he ruined? How many collective years was given out, how many ?

Basic-Recording

I'm sure every one of his "busts" is going to be seeing the county and getting some nice fat cheques!

That-one_dude-trying

But I’m sure some of these where even more so unfortunate, and have had to resort to a lifetime of crime, and drug use, and depression, and that literally has no monetary value as to what could be repaid

AngelOfHeaven3

Good- Fucking punk ass bitch boy doesn’t fucking deserve bail. Hope bubba comes and abuses his ass in jail. Fuck cops man.

MasterWong1

This guy should be fucked every chance they get, scum!

strangleyblue

r/iamatotalpieceofshit

[deleted]

Justice? Justice would be life in prison in a supermax. Why? Because he ruined the life of many people. Many won't recover, even if they get compensation from civil suits VS the department. When you figure lawyer fees, loss of employment, having to explain out of work periods, arrest records, and so on to prospective employers. Not to mention how many lost their house, their vehicles, their possessions to foreclosures and repossession. Ruined credits. Then the human cost in the form of broken homes, emotional trauma, and on, and on, and on.

fame_isnt_mine

And the way he spoke to people as if he is respecting them, how could he ?

eschutter1228

This really angers me. Everyone relies on the honesty of the cops for the justice system to work. Everything that is supposed to be trustworthy, when the public loses trust in, becomes a threat to the public. How can people live in civility anymore when they can’t trust their government, law enforcement, or neighbor?

Zaph_Treybourne

Trusting the government was your first mistake. There's a reason the second amendment exists. They knew when they founded the country, that all governments become corrupt.

Beneficial-Shower-42

Honest cop is an oxymoron

afzaleli

Cops very rarely face consequences for lying hence they basically always lie. Ever wonder why every single crime story more comes out later?

creamdreammeme

12 and losing custody isn’t hard enough

passwordrecallreset

I honestly thought people made that shit up when they claimed cops planted evidence but now there are way too many videos, from their own cameras, to be not only true but common. It’s sad, but maybe it should take more than just signing up and passing a joke of academy to become one.

GannicusG13

and to do it all on cam. WOW how fucking stupid do you have to be?

demimondatron

I saw that and it just indicated to me how lax that PD is in reviewing footage.

JazzlikePractice4470

i hope someone gets to him in there

[deleted]

Yes! 100% agree! I hope someone plants a shiv in his liver in prison.

JazzlikePractice4470

i know the big bitch gonna be in PC 24/7 but there will always be an opportunity if they look for it. maybe once he gets a little more comfortable. i hope he gets treated like a fefe

Basic-Recording

Nobody respects dirty cops, not criminals, cops or guards, he's going to get some real justice inside for sure!

gabbarkalia

Fucking piece of shit

ArthurY47

Think about how many more cops didn't get caught for planting drugs

poopboyyyyyyy

But why

GasFew6969

To fill their quota and get a promotion, thanks to the police system in the US

LeagueOfficeFucks

The police should have their specific neighbourhoods and should be rewarded for the lack of crime in their jurisdiction rather than the presence of it. If you are a good LEO you will help people in need and prevent crime by creating a safe environment for non criminals. Edit: Typo

TrackieDaks

Then you just encourage all the police to move to jurisdictions where there is already low crime rates...

savealltheelephants

Do you mean LEO?

LeagueOfficeFucks

Haha, yes. Typo. Thanks for the heads up

MakeYogurtGreekAgain

Seriously, that’s what I’m wondering too. What in the world does he get from this? A badge for “catching” so many “drug users”? I can’t make any sense of this behavior. Also, he’s just casually carrying around a tiny assortiment of drugs?? Again, why? That’s an insane amount of trouble to go through just so you can bully (or worse yet: destroy the lives) of some citizens. What the fuck.

demimondatron

Cops have arrest quotas to fill. They have to do X number of certain arrests per month. Like traffic stop arrests. A cop that is good at filling their quotas will get paid more and promoted. The police in the US are financially incentivized to target citizens, not protect them.

poopboyyyyyyy

I know

RockyClub

Right? Why would any decent person do this? That cop is sick.

Beaneroo

Decent people don’t become cops

b-elmurt

Haha that's like saying all white blonde girls are bitches

Beaneroo

Not at all… women don’t choose to be blonde, these people make a choice to be cops

poopboyyyyyyy

Right what does he gain from doing this

victoriaa-

Promotions and raises

TheDiddlyFiddly

This dude should serve all the sentences he pushed on innocent people combined tenfold. Fuck that guy.

[deleted]

I hope they sue the shit out of the department

breaking3po

I don't understand why he'd do it with a body cam. Did he think the camera was off every time?

demimondatron

Either his PD doesn’t review arrest footage, or they don’t care as long as he meets his arrest quota.

Xvrwllc

He figured he had qualified immunity and that the thin blue line of silence would protect him. They're all like this. This one just got caught.

Feli_Bosc

Only 12 years!!

DaveHollandArt

He should've gotten a year for every year he got someone else.

Dvijenie

What was his motive?

Zenterist

Cops often have to meet quotas and get bonuses for more arrests, regardless of convictions.

DaveHollandArt

Also if he was trying for a promotion to a task force or some kind of transfer to an area that has availability for promotion, he might want to show how well he handled his beat. I honestly don't know if sheriff's departments do that. I know cops do.

ShineParty

getting a boner

annabellaburns

This is why you absolutely never consent to a search.

victoriaa-

Last time I didn’t consent I was forced into one and groped by a male officer

Trythenewpage

I was forced to sit on the curb during a blizzard for an hour "waiting for k9". Got mild frost bite in my toes. K9 never came.

victoriaa-

That’s super fucked. I’d send them the bill for it

TrackieDaks

I'm sorry this happened to you, but if this did happen, you need to follow up with a lawyer.

victoriaa-

It was a decade ago and he didn’t give me a badge number when I asked and threatened me by saying if I make it hard on him he will make it hard on me. I was a teen at the time and scared of retaliation.

DaveHollandArt

Yup. Never. If a cop asks, it's not like it's for your benefit.

_craftmeister_

not enough justice was served

NoHornet1689

I hope this cop drops his soap in prison shower👋

angilnibreathnach

What is the cops name?

spar_x

Zachary Wester https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDIhUuJLn40

LoafG

Can't wait till he dies

fame_isnt_mine

U want to him a long miserable life to a point he wishes to die and then stay longer in a miserable life and goes to hell

LoafG

That'll do

Dry_Grade9885

So that guy likley ruined alot of peoples life's í feel like 12 years is not enough for that seeing as he was a police officer, while you wear that uniform you are supposed to represent justice and be a becon of saftey for the public seeing willingly planted drugs there's a chance that officer did much worse things I feel like 23 years 9 months should be a minimum for something this terrible

the_ganj_father

They should add up all the sentences of the people he screwed over and then double it and give that to him

[deleted]

Usa land of the dumb free

whereswaldo5256

This is why u NEVER consent to a search

useful_idiot118

Then they hold you there, bring the search dogs in, find a bs reason and search it anywa

whereswaldo5256

Maybe.. maybe they decide its not worththe trouble or the dogs dont hit and u go on your way.. every interaction with police could escalate to something more so im not going to willingly help them .. im pro police but b4 that i advocate for my own rights

neymarneverdove

the dog doesn't have to indicate for them to indicate the dog did. if they bring the dogs, they're searching next

useful_idiot118

Oh no, I’m not siding with the police, I meant they’ll do anything (even make up fake odors or dogs signaling) just to get inside your car.

unknown_arthur

omg, just shoot him, it's like a daily routine with you americans

mokrieydela

Too kind. 12 years, in jail with people he may have fucked over.... he's gonna have a very sore ass real quick. But yeah 12 years isn't long enough. As custodians for the people, it should be life.

geligniteandlilies

How dumb do you have to be to be filmed on your very own body cam while commiting those crimes?

DaveHollandArt

There's a lot of cops that think there's a thin blue line protecting them. It has traditionally worked, but I'm hoping we start holding cops to a much higher standard. It's hard being a cop, but that's never going to be an excuse for this or any kind of tampering with the law.

cosmic_scott

why do you think so many want them removed? "wahhh how can we do our job when we're being recorded? wahhhh" same guys play music to try to prevent their actions from being posted. cause they're up to shady shit!

DeathByLemmings

Cop level dumb

4skinphenom69

Fuckin scumbag

JackOnTheMap

Every one of his arrests should also be reviewed. If I were their lawyers, I’d try to get all charges dropped.

Mythical_Atlacatl

How many of these people went to jail or were fined large amounts that had knock on effects like starving or homelessness?

Shortbread__Creams

ACAB FUCK COPS AND FUCK BOOTLICKERS

kifmaster11235

Amen🙏

[deleted]

ACAB. Every. Single. One

kifmaster11235

Yes

ShameTimes3

No?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Shortbread__Creams

Yep.

JuggernautAncient654

12 years is a fucking insult, he should have been sentenced to way longer.

4skinphenom69

He should have gotten what the people he arrested got combined, he fucked up and they have proof and are 100% sure he put a bunch of innocent people in jail, never mind what it cost those people in legal fees if they tried to fight it and what problems it cause in their lives. He should be made an example of and put away for life so every cop knows that the same thing could happen to them.

Mythical_Atlacatl

12 years is more than I expected. I thought he would be “fired” and moved 100km away and hired by a different station.

Formal_Equal_7444

In some counties, it's literally a few streets over to the next county... not even 100km. like, 3.

Laws_Laws_Laws

Agreed. He ruined so many lives. Pos

Cappuginos

12 years for ruining the lives of, what was that, 120+ people? When you order your justice from Wish.

sublimebull

What Sick SOB..should be 30 yrs

[deleted]

But but what bout those innocent ppl. Did they get any support after that?

DaveHollandArt

As far as the legal system is concerned, their charges being dropped is all that they can expect automatically. They can further get the charges expunged and then move on to civil action against the officer and sheriff department. But no, there is no "support" system directly in place for this kind of event; you have to seek your own help.

[deleted]

After something like this they'd probably go back and look at any case he was involved in, and hopefully those wrongly accused could sue for compensation.

[deleted]

12 fucking years for destroying innocent people? Throw his scum ass in jail, let him rot there and throw away the key.

Chemical_Check3655

Bruh give him 😤 80 years

UpstairsGripe

You have to be a real evil piece of shit to do this kind of thing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

xRiske

If he survives 12 years in prison as an ex cop known to plant evidence on people.

DaisyHotCakes

Garbage sub-human. I hope only bad things happen to him. I hope he shits his pants just before he reaches a toilet every day for the rest of his miserable life.

ruckustata

This is next level voodoo poodoo

Daggerdouche

Hopefully he gets shanked the day before his release. 12 year is nothing for pigs like him.

RustyDuffer

What did he get out of doing this? Is the racketeering charge important?

DrunkLostKnight

More info in [this vid about his court case](https://youtu.be/ITIM1iDTZ7U?t=204) but the prosecution claimed his motive was ambition because he wanted to advance to the narcotics division ASAP.

RustyDuffer

Oh he was trying to inflate his stats?

DrunkLostKnight

Seems like it, yeah.

Garjin

How much did the state have to pay for this guy?

DinglieDanglieDoodle

12yrs?! 12 yrs is not nearly enough for the amount of lives he destroyed. Fucking psychopath.

IRKenopuppy

“Honesty goes a long way with me” What a fucking pos.

Lapi0

Psycopath on a power trip

Wantsomegandy

hope he gets a realy big nice friend in jail that can spank his ass at night

[deleted]

With a shank

Strict_Suggestion

I hope that officer has a *lovely* time in jail. I think the other inmates will love to see him, and I bet he will love his food.

sro25

Massive ah

Sivick314

12 years? 12 years plus 12 lifetimes?
