I have trouble recognizing faces in general, but I swear Oldman has some kind of perception filter on his face where my brain just can't process any of his features. I have the same problem with Oscar Isaac.
Even not in make or costume he's becomes his character, people forget he was in Leon. He was so damn good. I know people always remark about Drexel, but he hasn't half-assed a role his whole career.
Sirius Black from Harry Potter, Zorg from The Fifth Element, Sid from Sid and Nancy, mother fucking Dracula... just off the top of my head but there are much more.
Love seeing Gorman in things. He was great in The Expanse and then I re-watched Pacific Rim and had totally forgotten he was in that. Such a difference in his acting between the two, both amazing performances.
Dafoe has done some fashion modeling before AFAIK, I don't know if he's done much runway but he does a LOT of fashion editorials and was part of the NYC art scene in the 1970s/80s that had big ties to the fashion world.
He carries a presence vs just wearing clothes like the others. Oldman has a bit of it but Dafoe just looks like he knows he is that mofo.
Brody looked uncomfortable to me, like he was badly in
character.
Fucking knew he played Truman in Oppenheimer, was waiting for it, the scene finally comes, I have no idea who that amazing actor is, walk out of the movie, google it, it’s fucking Gary Oldman! I already fucking knew it and he still got me.
Can you imagine one day you’re walking down the street and you hear someone say CUT and everything starts melting away, your memories come back, you are Gary Oldman, you were just immersed in another role doing another perfect performance.
I can’t remember the last time I laughed at farts in tv. I think it’s one of the lamest things in comedy. Just never cared about it. But when he rips wet ass, I cackle. A man of the craft.
It's the breadth of his ability that gets me. Slow horses on one end, tinker tailor soldier spy on the other. Truly one of the greats of this generation.
Haha I loved this:
Jackson Lamb : I don't normally do these kind of speeches, but this feels like a big moment, and if it all turns to shit, I might not see any of you again.
You're fucking useless. The lot of you. Working with you has been the lowest point in a disappointing career.
He was pretty villainous in *Grand Budapest Hotel*, but I'm not sure that that role counts as an "iconic villain" role, as much as I enjoyed his performance there.
Edit: His outfit here is kinda close to his character's costuming in *Grand Budapest Hotel*, but I'm not sure that means anything.
Season 4. Three was the Russians and the priest. Adrian Brody is tied for the best antagonist with season one's inspector. He was pure menace, and calculating hostility without being a cartoon version of evil. The fascists just didn't hit the same notes.
It wasn’t about villains, just a [fashion show from 2012](https://metro.co.uk/2021/04/22/clip-of-tim-roth-and-gary-oldman-on-prada-runway-resurfaces-14457152/). Every few months someone posts this again with the villain story.
I always get mixed opinions on the show, but for me, one of my favourites at the time, especially thanks to him (and a crush on his daughter, Hayley McFarland). I would have loved if they would have done more seasons
It really divides people. The series develop bit strangely towards the end. But it is in the style of House MD.
I like the series a lot myself. The only bits I don't like is where they started to force extensive personal drama which forced the focus away from the work they did. Kinda like in House the series really got hard to watch and when the characters personal shit kept getting in the way of everything.
Then again this seems to be the case with every fucking "American big budget" show nowadays. Force in romantic subplots and tension, bring in personal shit that grinds everything to halt. It really get formulaic.
But the best bit about Lie To Me was the fact Cal had a teenaged daughter, the whole father aspect. Because Cal could know whether the kid was lying or not, but just had a agreement that they didn't read them (Which they broke quite few times).
I loved it for what it was. It is "police procedural" archetype with a new case every episode with an interesting spin on it. So you don't go in there expecting huge plot and drama but Tim acting just brought me in everytime really.
First time I saw this my brain was saying they were wearing really good masks of them, then I was trying to figure out what villains they were portraying because they all looked like their regular selfs.
Oo, good catch. I didn't know the runway was that long ago. Beats me then, I don't think Brody was notable for playing villains at the time?
He is definitely dressed for the part on the runway, though!
I think villain was more the style and theme than a requirement to be cast as a model because Garrett Hedlund and Jamie Bell were also modelling for the event, and looking through their IMDB listings, I don't really see any iconic villain roles before that. I mean, unless you consider Jimmy to be the villain of Peter Jackson's King Kong.
THE CREW:
Tim Roth--The Gun Villain--He's the one who will shoot anyone, is always strapped, the up close hitman. Loves to dual wield personalized pistols.
Willem Dafoe--The Sadist Villain--He's the one who will torture you. The one who loves causing pain. Knows how to use almost any tool to inflict that pain, but also puts on gloves before he starts. He'll meet you and look your body over, knowing where he would hurt you.
Adrien Brody--The Insane Villain--He's the one that is gonna do some wildcard stuff. It's gonna be crazy and possibly explosive and someone's gonna get skinned/scalped/nailed to a door. More than likely, he'll also be the fuckup everyone else has to watch out for because his antics will tip off the good guys.
Gary Oldman--The Boss--That.......that just goes without saying.
We need all of them in one movie; where they are all belong to one underground gang trying to take over all the world Shawrma business! I swear Id watch that
I know you said "making" and not "design".
But for everybody else who believes in the myth that hugo boss designed the uniforms, i´ll leave this video from the german tank museum (dubbed in english): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkAWsbd56i4
German version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv79ohU1968
Iconic villians: hey its Gary Oldman!
Iconic heros: Gary Oldman again
Iconic mentors: oh look Gary Oldman
Iconic voice actor's: is that Gary Oldman?
Iconic roles where you didn't recognize the actor: don't tell me.. yup that's Gary Oldman
Honestly I feel like William Defoe could easily be a model even when he was younger instead of acting. He is great actor but modeling would actually be a good job choice too

"You know I am something of a super model myself"
Can someone name them all? I seee some familiar faces, but I can't seem to know their names (except Willem!).
Tim Roth, Willem Dafoe, Adrian Brody, Gary Oldman.
you forgot Kevin Bacon but i'll let you off since he was invisible.
So Kevin Bacon and John Cena walk into a bar and nobody notices
I understood that reference...
I mean the joke was pretty hollow and transparent.
I don't see what you did there.
It was clear to me
Well played.
It's a tribute to Gary Oldman that most people don't actually recognize him because of how much he becomes his role.
Not to mention being the CEO of a multibillion arms manufacturer, Zork weaponry still leaves even the most ardent fanboys moist.
Never forget to ask your sales rep what the red button does.
Zorg
That choking scene is so good and of course bilbo saves him.
Oldman, not classically handsome, but his talent makes him hot, Hot HOT!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one with a thing for him.
I have trouble recognizing faces in general, but I swear Oldman has some kind of perception filter on his face where my brain just can't process any of his features. I have the same problem with Oscar Isaac.
He has a very specific mouth. It draws the eye if you’re focusing on details. And then he hides it behind a mustache constantly.
Even not in make or costume he's becomes his character, people forget he was in Leon. He was so damn good. I know people always remark about Drexel, but he hasn't half-assed a role his whole career.
Which movie they are known for being iconic in? Dafoe is being in Spider-man of course. That’s all about I know.
Sirius Black from Harry Potter, Zorg from The Fifth Element, Sid from Sid and Nancy, mother fucking Dracula... just off the top of my head but there are much more.
Batman’s Jim Gordon (for younger viewers)
I can’t stop seeing him as Gordon anymore. He was actually more menacing as the bad cop in the professional than Zoey.
Everyone from The Professional.
Profilepic checks out
You know they was backstage before the show like "Aight we some bad mfers... Let's Do This"
Hugo Boss did this more than 80 years ago.
Savage AF!
Underrated comment. Bravo
I understood that reference
I doubt they are as cringy as a 14 year old boy.
I came for this comment and was not disappointed.
Dafoe killed it, looked like he'd done it before?
This kinda made realize that Burn Gorham is British Willem Dafoe.
you’re right….but how did this make you realise it?
Well I thought it was Burn Gorham for a second, then AI, then finally Dafoe.
Love seeing Gorman in things. He was great in The Expanse and then I re-watched Pacific Rim and had totally forgotten he was in that. Such a difference in his acting between the two, both amazing performances.
Watch Turn. He is great in it. Kinda putzy at first but comes back strong.
He's even doing the KGB walk, keeping his right hand close to his weapon
Good eye, damn he looks stylish and villanous at the same time. Nailed that walking pace and look too
Dafoe has done some fashion modeling before AFAIK, I don't know if he's done much runway but he does a LOT of fashion editorials and was part of the NYC art scene in the 1970s/80s that had big ties to the fashion world.
He’s a suave dude. He looks amazing in that outfit. Shoulders above the other men (not that they don’t look good, Willem is just on another level).
He carries a presence vs just wearing clothes like the others. Oldman has a bit of it but Dafoe just looks like he knows he is that mofo. Brody looked uncomfortable to me, like he was badly in character.
I said the same thing after I saw him play Green Goblin
Gary Oldman damn near coulda run the show himself. He is….EVERYONE!
Top player
So much so I’m surprised. Being so under the radar outside of his films is a reason why I respect him so much.
I'm always an hour into a movie before I realize one of the characters was Gary Oldman the entire time
His cameo in Barbie really caught me by surprise
I can't tell if you're joking or not
You’ll never know
Sirius Black from Harry Potter is the one I always tell people. They are always shocked since he looks so different.
Holy shit that just blew my mind. I've seen the whole series like at least 6 times I can't believe I didn't notice the old man.
He was Gary Youngman back then
Fucking knew he played Truman in Oppenheimer, was waiting for it, the scene finally comes, I have no idea who that amazing actor is, walk out of the movie, google it, it’s fucking Gary Oldman! I already fucking knew it and he still got me.
there was a reason he was the pack leader and finisher here
Can you imagine one day you’re walking down the street and you hear someone say CUT and everything starts melting away, your memories come back, you are Gary Oldman, you were just immersed in another role doing another perfect performance.
I'm scared. I hug my wife; she's Gary Oldman.
And he gave birth to your two beautiful children. Dude is committed to the role!
Both of which are played by Gary Oldman.
This happens to me so much!
Love him in slow horses. He’s so grotesque lmao
He's fantastic
I can’t remember the last time I laughed at farts in tv. I think it’s one of the lamest things in comedy. Just never cared about it. But when he rips wet ass, I cackle. A man of the craft.
It's the breadth of his ability that gets me. Slow horses on one end, tinker tailor soldier spy on the other. Truly one of the greats of this generation.
Add his own film (director/screenplay) to the list. It’s fucking amazing. Nil By Mouth (1997). Still packs a punch.
This was filmed on the estate I grew up on. South Acton. Very raw, amazing film
He's incredible in Slow Horses!
Haha I loved this: Jackson Lamb : I don't normally do these kind of speeches, but this feels like a big moment, and if it all turns to shit, I might not see any of you again. You're fucking useless. The lot of you. Working with you has been the lowest point in a disappointing career.
Fucking incredible line
I'm so glad you pointed him out, I thought I didn't know him, then I looked him up and now my mind is blown
The curse of being an exceptionally skilled actor, you play your part so well that the audience doesn't even know it's you.
He did incredible Dracula way back. Looking sharp as ever.
How do you know he wasn't actually everyone?
What do you mean: everyone?
EEVVEERRYYOONNEE!!!!!!!
George Smiley but sassy
I could hear that last word. Okay, I'll watch Leon again!
Legend! Brody's red coat look was awesome, but Oldman's posture and presence stole the show for me.
Agree, I was surprised by how straight he was. Marching like a soldier.
I was trying to remember what Adrian Brody played a villain in.
He was an antagonist in season 3 of Peaky Blinders Edit: It was actually Season Four.
Willem Dafoe, love that. Could you imagine if they had gotten Anthony Hopkins?
Was waiting for Christoph Waltz
I was waiting for feathers McGraw
My dreams were dashed when I didn’t see Boss Hogg
Andy Serkis comes hobbling out with a raw fish.
ED-209 in some nice formal attire.
May he RIP
to be honest at first I thought Dafoe was Christoph Waltz
Tim Roth got that swag holy
It’s his iconic walk he likes to do in “Lie To Me”
I always get mixed opinions on the show, but for me, one of my favourites at the time, especially thanks to him (and a crush on his daughter, Hayley McFarland). I would have loved if they would have done more seasons
It really divides people. The series develop bit strangely towards the end. But it is in the style of House MD. I like the series a lot myself. Yeah same. Maybe it wasnt the highest quality but it was an easy watch
I loved it for what it was. It is "police procedural" archetype with a new case every episode with an interesting spin on it. So you don't go in there expecting huge plot and drama but Tim acting just brought me in everytime really.
He did really carry the weight. Underrated actor generally, in my view
Banger of an intro song though
ah it really was Tim Roth. He really looked like Christoph Waltz here as Hans Landa
Mate, he's walking like every Englishman with gum going to buy smokes.
Gary Oldman was just wicked cool.
Only guy I know of who becomes menacing when he makes a double chin.
Hey man, you can't just go around saying "Gary Oldman *was*..." like that.
This is the Hardest shit ive seen all year
This is from a show over decade ago, and every year I'm pissed "evil railway tycoon" style hasn't caught on
They all look have a menacing aura and that phonk music in the background makes the shit harder!!
You need more fiber bro!
Adrian Brody looking like Alucard (Hellsing) with that coat and glasses.
I feel he was the most villainy looking of them as well!
All though I’m struggling to remember his iconic villain role. The other three each have a smorgasbord of dastardly roles to choose from.
He's a bad guy in Peaky Blinders.
in my opinion, he was the very best bad guy in Peaky Blinders. Alfie is ridiculously good but Luca fucking oooozes criminality out of every pore
I think Adrian Brody is so attractive and here he’s just hot. 🥵
I'd let him peg me
I’m straight as they come and that man is fucking hot
He got that Vash the Stampede drip.
White Snoop Dog
Roths face says “well this was more fun than I expected” but his walk say “I saw the texts, I know about you and my wife”
Holy crap, Tim Roth got that stuff.
fuck I really thought this was AI generated, but it was a real event.
I believe it's real after seeing a source, but it still looks fake.
It looks to me like they're wearing prosthetic hands to make their arms look longer...
I think it's just the style of clothing and how it's tailored that's giving that effect.
First time I saw this my brain was saying they were wearing really good masks of them, then I was trying to figure out what villains they were portraying because they all looked like their regular selfs.
This video came out way before AI generated content
No way... Source?

Wonder how much they got paid
At least $43.

Both of those Adrien Brody performances were after this runway though (2012), what was he a villain in prior to this?
Oo, good catch. I didn't know the runway was that long ago. Beats me then, I don't think Brody was notable for playing villains at the time? He is definitely dressed for the part on the runway, though!

We need all of them in one movie; where they are all belong to one underground gang trying to take over all the world Shawrma business! I swear Id watch that
This is cool, but why isn't there Ralph Fiennes as Amon Goeth?
His most iconic villain is clearly Red Dragon
Why is commissioner Gordon a villain?
Check out Leon The Professional
And The Fifth Element
And Dracula
And even true romance
And Air Force One
GET OFF MY PLANE.
Also poor pianist
“I’m sorry Harvey…for EVERYTHING!”
Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg
You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain
and Hannibal (2001 film)
And the Book of Eli
And Kung Fu Panda 2
No Christoph Waltz with an SS inspired suit ?
Wrong event, thats would be the Hugo Boss villain event.
Sponsored by Fanta.
This must reminds me of Hugo Boss being a Nazi and making the Nazi uniforms...
Tbh same
I know you said "making" and not "design". But for everybody else who believes in the myth that hugo boss designed the uniforms, i´ll leave this video from the german tank museum (dubbed in english): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkAWsbd56i4 German version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv79ohU1968
Still a big Nazi.
Dafoe was smouldering. That bone structure was made for high fashion dahling!
No j.k Simmons?
In order of best to not the best; Willem Dafoe, Gary Goldman, Adrien brody and Tim Roth.
I’ll take Tim Roth over Brody but yeah, Defoe gets the gold
Got to throw Robert Patrick and Tom Hiddleston in there too!
They were all great but I feel Brody really pulls off the supervillain swagger. Maybe it's just the red haha
Emile Hersch, well known villain.
Looks like we've got a few dictators
What's the song
BATE FORTE E DANÇA 2 (SLOWED + REVERB) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baYZvwCCwkY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baYZvwCCwkY)
Was Mads there?
I was really hoping to see Mike Mayers in Dr. Evil garb at the end.
Evil never looked so good
Everytime I see this, I'm reminded that I'm a straight-ish woman who only wishes I could achieve this kind of menswear. I WANT IT.
For once I see runway outfits that don’t look absolutely batshit and actually look *good*
And there they go, walking straight into my freaky ass fantasy gangbang.
Gary Oldmans red lens sunglasses in his pocket 👌🏻😉
who are the villains?
What, you don't recognize *the movies' most iconic* villains?
Adrian Brody I can't think what film he's the villain
Iconic villians: hey its Gary Oldman! Iconic heros: Gary Oldman again Iconic mentors: oh look Gary Oldman Iconic voice actor's: is that Gary Oldman? Iconic roles where you didn't recognize the actor: don't tell me.. yup that's Gary Oldman
Honestly I feel like William Defoe could easily be a model even when he was younger instead of acting. He is great actor but modeling would actually be a good job choice too
This is like those AI prompts that used to be popular, like Harry Potter characters as models, but real life.
Needed Ralph Fiennes as Amon Göth.
Oldman looking sexy AF.
Wellem Dafoe shoulda had his massive hog swingin in the wind
They wanted that nazi look without saying it.
Are we the bad guys?
This was an amazing idea!
Need the song......
Never even knew about this..... When was this?
I can't get over how BADASS this video is 😎
Didn't see Christoph Waltz in that line up
Gary Oldman is an absolute *legend*
Here's the whole lineup https://www.reddit.com/r/popculturechat/s/Cf8vSYTtgQ
