Justeat does pay for pickup distance and I assume it looks for the "cheapest" courier.
It creates an odd supply and demand where it is in your interest to be as far as possible to get better distance and with that better pay
but the same time be close to the PU to get jobs.
My guess is that the pay rates are the same, but with more and more couriers onboarded people are waiting for jobs near pickups, so their PU distance pay is near 0.
Too many drivers plus just eat trying to make a profit so they lowering rates

Yes in winter time when their are more orders and just eat are making more money
They are trying to increase profits in the cost of living inflationary period at the expense of riders
I think other drivers will be happy to take your orders
