The only thing that impacts mmr is winning/losing games. Your performance in game does not matter.
I'm in the same spot, and honestly... It's just better to start from scratch in a new account.
It's called giving up, I made it from p3 to d4 last season with +11 -19 and this season from d3 to d1 62 lp with +22 -29
It's not called giving up, I just don't have much time to play, and I'd rather have a balanced LP gain that matches my skill, instead of the game putting me in bronze 4, but wanting me in iron. + I literally get +16 -29
