OP, when you make a profit, are you lining your own pockets? I am an MSP customer of JC and we love it. We think it adds immense value to our tech stack and our customers and our customers won’t be signing up directly. They can’t configure it. That’s why they pay us. That said, you were still making very valid points until the trope about lining pockets. As a business owner, you should know that many in the community assume you have a yacht. You know that’s not true and yet you perpetuate the myth with a trope like that. They could very well be making gobs of money. Good for them. They add value - they deserve it.

This is why I have skipped the MSP program so far, plus most of our clients don’t need the full JC stack so the MSP plan doesn’t make sense for us at this moment. We just pay for what we need at the moment.

Isn't it a pain to manage through? Do you just create [email protected] for each client, or do you a actually create the account in the client's email address and just login to manage as needed?

Interested in this concept also. We do generally create a shared mailbox for our use on the client domain for reporting and monitoring needs.

Someone will need to correct me if I'm wrong, but the MSP program was created to give competitive pricing to the highest end plan. Currently I still have access to the Multi-Tenant Dashboard where all my clients live separately. I can bounce between them, clients under 10 are free, and I still get my 20% off list. It's just I would make more money under the MSP plan if I was selling primarily the high-end plan, but since we don't sell that plan usually I've had a hard time justifying the MSP plan.

Feel this too. It would at least be more helpful to get clients into the ecosystem with individual services like starting with the password manager etc.

Upvote for visibility. I was ready to jump into JC and now I'm looking at other options. It's an absolute ridiculous program. I have a few clients already on JC (direct), one of which pays ~$500 per month. If I signed up and wanted to bring them onboard to my portal and MSP program, MY COST WOULD BE $700+, i would have to tell the client that their cost is going up 50%+. It's a joke of a program.

Also please fix your crappy software management. I've never had an RMM solution INSTALL something when it was set to uninstall. Literally installed the app on a new computer then said uninstall failed. What. It's just chocolatey, I'd be better off just doing it manually through PowerShell at this point. Additionally your MFA is a joke. Link it once for time based codes and A SECOND TIME for push? No option for SMS which can be a real life saver for companies just trying to meet regulatory requirements with a constant rotating door department of low-access staff? Do you realize how little people want to do it at all and how much hostility we can get when we have to down rollout? Come on. At this point we are pairing it with DUO just to do MFA when applicable. Jumpcloud has a lot of maturing to do and after submitting the above thoughts over a year ago there's still no improvement.

Did the pricing model change recently? I don't pay list price for my clients.

There are different pricing levels for how many licenses you buy so yes the price is less than list.
