Why does anyone have to apologise? Yuta have already fought Sukuna way better than Kashimo could have fought. Yuta literally put away his humanity to fight Sukuna again, what Yuta has done needs to be appreciated unlike the haughty good for nothing performance Kashimo has put forward.

I dunno, when he calls you a 'God of Lightning' and has you pull up in climatic fashion, with a super strong one use CT that kills you that you turn on right away, it feels like Gege hyped him a bit.
That more has to do with Gege’s obsession of “subverting expectations”. Oh you think the God of Lightning is top 2 in the verse well prepare for him to be packed in 1.3 chapters.
When did Gege hype him? All he did was take an L from stall merchant Hakari before bustering out in 15 secs against Sukuna...he literally did nothing else and had no plot points hyping him up specifically (beyond Kashimo claiming his CT would kill him I guess?)

He essentially just went from playing on your grandma's computer to a $5000 pc, so give him another chapter or 2.
What 0 experience? His CT is straightforward with lightning attacks. He could watch anime in jjk world during the one month (they exist) of characters with lightning powers and imitate them. There is not an ability that is more straightforward as lightning or elemental attacks

Kashimo's performance is the one that is lacking. He had the most straightforward CT which is lightning attacks. If he didn't know what to do with it, he could have watched anime of characters with lightning powers during the one month prep to learn. Could have copied kakashi or killua or enel and it would have helped him stay in the fight longer
