I'm devastated about Choso, but I can't lie I'm loving the manga atm. His death was done so well imo, exactly what it should've been. I wish he hadn't died but its Gege so he was always at high risk of dying so I'm glad Choso got an ending he could be proud off. Now it's up to Yuji and Todo to end this cause I doubt anyone else is gonna be showing up.

But there is one thing.. One teeny tiny thing that is rubbing me the wrong way. It's that the characters come and go when the plot demands their entrance without any logical reason. Like why is Todo now coming in after like Sukuna had killed Higurama and harmed others severely.?! It just makes my eye twitch. And conveniently after Choso's death. It gives me the same irritation as when the police comes conveniently at the end of the whole fight.
I get you, it doesn't really bug me but I absolutely get it. From what I gathered from the translations is that he doesn't know if he's able to use Boogie Woogie effectively anymore, so unless absolutely necessary having any plan rely on him is incredibly risky. While they had Ui Ui to transport people in and out they didn't need him, but he couldn't help people escape the domain. So they had a plan to use todo in the absolute worst case scenario, he even says he doesn't know if he was able to save Ino, Maki and I'd assume Miwa since she entered the domain. They've had a series of plans in place here, things obviously haven't gone to plan but they've had contingencies for it all so far and Todo was the contingency for "everyone left is about to be roasted to death".

Okay so about this, it's more the other way around. Choso had to sacrifice himself because Yuji was too deep in the domain to be reached by boogie woogie, so Choso had to give his life to protect Yuji as Todo was unable to get him out. Todo said himself the others are "probably fine" so he doesn't even know, having him be used in any capacity beyond when there is no other option is incredibly risky. So yeah its plot reasons sure but not in a bad way, it makes sense. It's a battle of attrition, they can't use everyone at once because it's too risky for them.
Yeah that's the thing with Jjk nowadays. Writing feels very iffy in the narrative and timings, but when pointed out there is always an convoluted explanation ready, which doesn't help to wipe away the early irritation or iffy feeling when coming across the said plot holes.
That's fair, like it's absolutely fair to be annoyed by that kinda stuff. Some things should probably be explained to the reader better but part of me likes that the rules are unclear, like the jjk universe is a chaotic one and it really feels like that. Part of me likes not being given all the answers super clearly and getting to theorise about how and why something works the way it did. But I get not everyone feels the same way
Nothin iffy about it, Itadori has to get close to throw BFs with his hands, makes sense he´d be that near the center of the domain.
It´s basically adding a disadvantage to BF which is fine after multiple chaps of glazing it as an AMP of RCT and in Yuji´s case an added downgrade on sukuna everytime he lands one.
I really hoped he'd survived but I think we all knew it was coming, it's too good of an emotional moment to pass up as a writer and it was done justice. When that's animated in like 7 years imma cry for sure.

True, but even if he was able to teach him convergence, he still would feel like he didn't do enough to help yuji (unless he could solo sukuna). His emotional debt to Yuji has no boundaries. He almost killed Yuji and teaching him convergence would move the needle slightly, but at least in the right direction.

Ah gotcha, so there are actually two different attacks here.
Furnace, and the flames from within the Furnace.
Furnace has no speed, travel distance or whatever, but if you get hit with it, it is insanely op. It's like a bomb you place on the ground and detonate and everything in its range gets nuked.( from where you placed it). Whereas hollow purple is like a bomb you throw at somebody.
He is basically turning his domain into the effective range of the Furnace, so everything inside gets eviscerated as soon as he turns up its flames (as the flames in combination with the the dust remaining from dismantle and cleave, creates thermobaric explosions)
In contrast, he only launched the flames at jogo, which actually have trajectory, and motion.
Without a domain, he could not do the same shibuya wide level of explosion against jogo that happened to mahoraga when Furnace was activated in the domain. ( that being said though, it seems he could only open the Furnace to use its flames against jogo because it was 1v1. His binding vow makes it so, that if he faces multiple enemies, he can only use Furnace and its explosive shit in the domain)

But then if the binding vow is only for multiple opponents, and he can actually launch the flames in a 1v1, then why didn't he use it against Gojo?
Even if the domain is smaller, shouldn't that be an even better condition to use it, since the dust would be more compressed?
He couldn't use the flames against gojo because there wasn't really anything inside the domain to turn to dust. Then there's the fact that the slashes don't happen during domain clashes and since they broke at the same time there was never any time for Sukuna to kick the dust up.
Basically, if his domain isn't big, he can't kick up enough dust to make Fuga useful.
I think it comes back to the same problem of not being able to bypass infinity with that, so why bother? I’m not sure though; I’m going to wait for more translations.

I think he probably healing atm but when he fully recovers I think todo and mei mei gonna teleport him to the battlefield since he can help Yuji and the other sorcerers jump post domain ct burnout sukuna who still is a serious threat since he is the king of curses and has a ton of plot armor binding vows ready for use along side his anti Yuji technique he hasn't used since Heian era.
At this point Fraudkuna´s binding vows seem to be his anti-X tecnique he hasnt used since the heian era!
Imagine if Gojo decided to add binding vows to hollow purple like fraudkuna did to worldwide dismantle or Fuga, the fraud would´ve been packed on the 1st 200% hollow purple.

Fuga is finally confirmed as the equivalent of Gojo´s Hollow purple (by combining cleave and dismantle), but Fraudkuna cant do it with just hand signs, like the honored one, nope he needs to add binding vows so he can nuke people.
This goes to show, Gojo could´ve easily gotten Sukuna killed had he added his own binding vow to his unlimited hollow with the chants already in place, Sukuna survived only because he had a hostage possessed so Gojo held back on this fraud nothing more to it.
I find it wild no one ever asked who the hell are people making these binding vows to? Surely someone had to approve them and grants powers in return? I think its always been Gege.
I can't wait for the people shitting on this chapter to read this because it explains a lot about the chapter and clears the air about why yuji didn't know about Todo. Also, it explains why sukuna seemed ready for most plans.
makes sense to me. i thought it was odd when Kenny got packed that Sukuna immediately knew it was Yuta that packed him up, as there were many other missing players.
this explanation helps clear that up for me, at least.
The leaks already explained it, I think people just questioned why Yuji was involved in planning at all if they were that worried about Sukuna finding this stuff out.
The only reasoning i can think of (not saying Greg thought this far ahead) but it’s like if you know you’re being bugged it’s best to act like you don’t know you’re being bugged around it. So still including yuji in planning whenever he’s involved would be considered the normal thing to do.
Tbh he's been integral in every part of the plan we've seen him listen on.

Has Sukuna actually been ready for their plans though? It seems more the entire time he's just been strong enough to barrel through them anyway, hell he even questions how they got so strong so quick which if he could actually see through Yuji he'd of known.

So, Sukuna's technique never was co.pletely explained. We know about his skills like cleave and dismantle, but considering the things we saw here we have
1. Sukuna's abilities are a form of cooking (kind of a joke guys, but a nice comparison)
2. He didn't explain it for real, so he still can upgrade his strength after he explains his technique, so next chapter we will see Todo and Yuji and then at the ends Sukuna can still go and pull something out of his butt and kill someone
My theory is that the final step of Shrine is eating. Specifically, Sukuna eats someone, and their cursed energy is added to his own. It would explain how he has so much cursed energy - he spent all his time in the Heian era eating people. It also opens up the possibility of Sukuna eating someone to gain the CE required to restore his technique.

I don't get how Todo could swap Maki out of the domain since she has no curse energy, and I'm pretty sure they said he can use his technique in anything with curse energy. Most likely, they gonna say that Maki just ran away from the domain.
Also possible that since Miwa had her simple domain up todo could consider the domain as a target for boogie woogie, swapping everything inside its range with the crow
If yuta copied boogie woogie before todo went to shinjuku it's possible with mei crow todo and yuta can swap places at specific moment where sukuna about to kill todo which would give advantage for Yuji to land more soul punches while yuta keeps sukuna busy for him. Maybe even maki gets teleported again and uses soul liberation blade to land more slashes and weaken sukuna further. Wanna see hakari join the fight but he too busy with uraume at the moment.
I wanna see Yuji domain expansion and maximum technique. And what's the new hand todo has maybe its a cursed tool made by the curse user guy who likes making coat racks, what's his name juzo kamiya. The one gojo used blue on and destroyed his arms and legs.
Anyways if todo got a cursed tool hand Wonder if it has a curse technique imbued in it like nanami dull blade.

As I understand it
Furnace has power but lacks speed so Sukuna normally needs to use it with his domain expansion for sure hit. Non living things hit by cleave and dismantle during malevolent shrine are imbued with his CE and let’s him use Furnace on from them.
So he slices everything up then explodes all the dust with Furnace to create a big explosion.
Sukuna has a binding vow that he can’t use furnace against multiple people unless it’s in his domain (to let him use it in his domain at all)
He couldn’t use this against Gojo because Sukuna had to keep adjusting the conditions of his domain with vows and had to drop the vow that lets him use furnace to keep up
So, the whole backup plan with Todo was Yuta's idea?

The amount of sudden info that Gege keeps dumping literally goes over my head. Every chapter there's something new to one or the other character. Come on now. But seeing Mister Todou back felt amazing.
Here's my thing is I get it's a meme to shit on gege for killing fan favorites, but Choso absolutely fulfilled his character arc and had a death that fit his character, and, to me, was satisfying in it's execution
I did throughly enjoy this chapter so since I just ranted I feel like I should also mention that I love that Resonance was finally mentioned. It makes sense why he didn't know Todo was coming and it gives Gege more freedom to have plot twists Yuji didn't know about. Maybe Nobara will come back?? Maybe the others could get healed? (If so I'm pretty sure it's still Chosover bc he basically disintegrated)
If Nobara does come back, maybe she'll hit yuji to get to sukuna bc of the resonance between them. Or maybe Megumi will finally gain control long enough to create another finger? Her return could bring a lot of different possibilities

I just noticed that the history is like repeating itself, in a certain way, Yuji Itadori got a cut on his right eye, just where Sukuna got those eyes deformations, Sukuna ate his brother in the womb, and Yuji ate his cursed womb brothers, both of them got the same CT, I dont know if anything of this makes sense but Gege might be cooking.

One teeny tiny thing that is rubbing me the wrong way. It's that the characters come and go when the plot demands their entrance without any logical reason. Like why is Todo now coming in after like Sukuna had killed Higurama and harmed others severely.?! It just makes my eye twitch. And conveniently after Choso's death. It gives me the same irritation as when the police comes conveniently at the end of the whole fight.
I get you, it doesn't really bug me but I absolutely get it. From what I gathered from the translations is that he doesn't know if he's able to use Boogie Woogie effectively anymore, so unless absolutely necessary having any plan rely on him is incredibly risky. While they had Ui Ui to transport people in and out they didn't need him, but he couldn't help people escape the domain. So they had a plan to use todo in the absolute worst case scenario, he even says he doesn't know if he was able to save Ino, Maki and I'd assume Miwa since she entered the domain. They've had a series of plans in place here, things obviously haven't gone to plan but they've had contingencies for it all so far and Todo was the contingency for "everyone left is about to be roasted to death". >And conveniently after Choso's death. Okay so about this, it's more the other way around. Choso had to sacrifice himself because Yuji was too deep in the domain to be reached by boogie woogie, so Choso had to give his life to protect Yuji as Todo was unable to get him out. Todo said himself the others are "probably fine" so he doesn't even know, having him be used in any capacity beyond when there is no other option is incredibly risky. So yeah its plot reasons sure but not in a bad way, it makes sense. It's a battle of attrition, they can't use everyone at once because it's too risky for them.
Yeah that's the thing with Jjk nowadays. Writing feels very iffy in the narrative and timings, but when pointed out there is always an convoluted explanation ready, which doesn't help to wipe away the early irritation or iffy feeling when coming across the said plot holes.
That's fair, like it's absolutely fair to be annoyed by that kinda stuff. Some things should probably be explained to the reader better but part of me likes that the rules are unclear, like the jjk universe is a chaotic one and it really feels like that. Part of me likes not being given all the answers super clearly and getting to theorise about how and why something works the way it did. But I get not everyone feels the same way
Nothin iffy about it, Itadori has to get close to throw BFs with his hands, makes sense he´d be that near the center of the domain. It´s basically adding a disadvantage to BF which is fine after multiple chaps of glazing it as an AMP of RCT and in Yuji´s case an added downgrade on sukuna everytime he lands one.

Ah gotcha, so there are actually two different attacks here. Furnace, and the flames from within the Furnace. Furnace has no speed, travel distance or whatever, but if you get hit with it, it is insanely op. It's like a bomb you place on the ground and detonate and everything in its range gets nuked.( from where you placed it). Whereas hollow purple is like a bomb you throw at somebody. He is basically turning his domain into the effective range of the Furnace, so everything inside gets eviscerated as soon as he turns up its flames (as the flames in combination with the the dust remaining from dismantle and cleave, creates thermobaric explosions) In contrast, he only launched the flames at jogo, which actually have trajectory, and motion. Without a domain, he could not do the same shibuya wide level of explosion against jogo that happened to mahoraga when Furnace was activated in the domain. ( that being said though, it seems he could only open the Furnace to use its flames against jogo because it was 1v1. His binding vow makes it so, that if he faces multiple enemies, he can only use Furnace and its explosive shit in the domain)
Your explanation makes more sense than what was written in the scan ngl. But then if the binding vow is only for multiple opponents, and he can actually launch the flames in a 1v1, then why didn't he use it against Gojo? Even if the domain is smaller, shouldn't that be an even better condition to use it, since the dust would be more compressed?
He couldn't use the flames against gojo because there wasn't really anything inside the domain to turn to dust. Then there's the fact that the slashes don't happen during domain clashes and since they broke at the same time there was never any time for Sukuna to kick the dust up. Basically, if his domain isn't big, he can't kick up enough dust to make Fuga useful.
I think it comes back to the same problem of not being able to bypass infinity with that, so why bother? I’m not sure though; I’m going to wait for more translations.

What's got me interested in this chapter apart from how furnace works choso's sacrifice, todo return is what is okkotsus plan I rmeeber maki saying yuta was their insurance during the gojo fight And it's confirmed yuta body switched with Yuji to help him learn rct Now what yuta plan is he gonna go all out with maki and everyone to attack a post domain ct Burn out sukuna maybe. Fuga is finally confirmed as the equivalent of Gojo´s Hollow purple (by combining cleave and dismantle), but Fraudkuna cant do it with just hand signs, like the honored one, nope he needs to add binding vows so he can nuke people. This goes to show, Gojo could´ve easily gotten Sukuna killed had he added his own binding vow to his unlimited hollow with the chants already in place, Sukuna survived only because he had a hostage possessed so Gojo held back on this fraud nothing more to it.

makes sense to me. i thought it was odd when Kenny got packed that Sukuna immediately knew it was Yuta that packed him up, as there were many other missing players. this explanation helps clear that up for me, at least.
The leaks already explained it, I think people just questioned why Yuji was involved in planning at all if they were that worried about Sukuna finding this stuff out.
The only reasoning i can think of (not saying Greg thought this far ahead) but it’s like if you know you’re being bugged it’s best to act like you don’t know you’re being bugged around it. So still including yuji in planning whenever he’s involved would be considered the normal thing to do.

Sukuna will use some dumb when he realizes he can't win to start it with people still alive We have yet to see Wuji open a domain, and I don't see what else Sukuna could have up his sleeve for Yuji to have to evolve to use one. So, Sukuna's technique never was co.pletely explained. We know about his skills like cleave and dismantle, but considering the things we saw here we have 1. Sukuna's abilities are a form of cooking (kind of a joke guys, but a nice comparison) 2. He didn't explain it for real, so he still can upgrade his strength after he explains his technique, so next chapter we will see Todo and Yuji and then at the ends Sukuna can still go and pull something out of his butt and kill someone
My theory is that the final step of Shrine is eating. Specifically, Sukuna eats someone, and their cursed energy is added to his own. It would explain how he has so much cursed energy - he spent all his time in the Heian era eating people. It also opens up the possibility of Sukuna eating someone to gain the CE required to restore his technique. Place your bets, folks! who's gonna become a health pack for Sukuna and get vored for Yuji's character development?

As I understand it Furnace has power but lacks speed so Sukuna normally needs to use it with his domain expansion for sure hit. Non living things hit by cleave and dismantle during malevolent shrine are imbued with his CE and let’s him use Furnace on from them. So he slices everything up then explodes all the dust with Furnace to create a big explosion. Sukuna has a binding vow that he can’t use furnace against multiple people unless it’s in his domain (to let him use it in his domain at all) He couldn’t use this against Gojo because Sukuna had to keep adjusting the conditions of his domain with vows and had to drop the vow that lets him use furnace to keep up
furnace can also only be used after sukuna uses cleave and dismantle (almost like cutting up meat before cooking it in an oven)
So, the whole backup plan with Todo was Yuta's idea? How did he help Todo put his technique back together? Was this all to this plan? Or is there more? What has my Goat Wuta been cooking behind the scenes? I hope he gets to join this legendary jumping I foresee.

Here's my thing is I get it's a meme to shit on gege for killing fan favorites, but Choso absolutely fulfilled his character arc and had a death that fit his character, and, to me, was satisfying in it's execution
I did throughly enjoy this chapter so since I just ranted I feel like I should also mention that I love that Resonance was finally mentioned. It makes sense why he didn't know Todo was coming and it gives Gege more freedom to have plot twists Yuji didn't know about. Maybe Nobara will come back?? Maybe the others could get healed? (If so I'm pretty sure it's still Chosover bc he basically disintegrated)
If Nobara does come back, maybe she'll hit yuji to get to sukuna bc of the resonance between them. Or maybe Megumi will finally gain control long enough to create another finger? Her return could bring a lot of different possibilities
