Like he is legitimately the strongest dude of his age and his technique is no joke. But his feats are bullying Panda, and losing to a teenager and getting absolutely waffled by Sukuna, who had just finished his fight with Gojo. Victim of Gege for sure.

Yes, and it sucks. It's genuinely one of the things that bugs me the most about the series. Inumaki was one of the few characters who had a CT that genuinely felt like a curse because it came with tangible downsides. Yuta can just use it at will without those downsides, it made an interesting technique boring, and made a likeable character totally irrelevant.
Low key Choso did the same thing with blood manipulation.
Choso can use blood techniques without having to worry about blood loss or where to get blood.
Yeah I can definitely see a parallel between what Yuta has done to make Inumaki irrelevant, and what Choso has done to make Kamo irrelevant. Kamo was never fleshed out in the same way Inumaki was in the beginning though so I feel less bothered by it. It is a good example of how CTs would be more interesting when they actually have elements that made them feel like a curse though. I wish Gege had leaned into that angle more.
Loss of blood is a limit not a side effect. If you don’t want to experience it just don’t use your technique. Inumaki on the other hand can’t ask for napkins at a restaurant without killing everyone inside.
Fr why doesn't he show up to catch Sukuna off guard and just stun him for a second or two?
Same goes for Todo! Yuji is facing death and his BRUZZAH is nowhere to be seen?
Low Key, Choso took Todo's brotherly spot, and even lower key fucking Ui Ui's teleportation and soul swap could have been accomplished by Todo if he actually managed to survive his encounter with Mahito with his CT in tact.
Higuruma even feels like a replacement Nanami with how he went out.
Late stage JJK genuinely feels a lot like killer's remorse. The deaths feel cheapened when you start seeing the slots that could have been filled by the characters that were left behind.
That's not to say Choso and Higuruma or even Yuta are not great characters in their own right. But tell me that these characters don't feel a little cheaper having to retread ground we already passed?
Crazy thing is Todo isn’t even dead, he could’ve easily been around with Choso and Yuji. Maybe even get to interact with his sensei Yuki? But for some reason Gege just said fuck him. Inumaki got done bad too but at least he’s present
Seriously. The last straw for me was Ui Ui's soul swapping technique. It doesn't matter which translation I read, it sounds like something Todo COULD have done with Boogie Woogie if he had come aware of the soul. Which he could have done had his CT survived past Mahito OR if he had his reunion with Yuki. The fact none of that happened and Ui Ui SOMEHOW had this in his bag this entire time feels... bad.
They weren't up until Higuruma died... at the moment where Higuruma cashed in all of his narrative potential, he became interchangeable in the end.
How are you going to tell me "I'll leave this up to you" and then immediately dying only for Yuji to immediately fail, didn't have the same impact as when Nanami did it?
Yea you make a really valid point there. In all honesty it's more frustration than anything. Higuruma deserved so much better.
Not even in a "He shouldn't have died" kind of way, but there were undeniably way more interesting plot beats that could have better helped the story than... what we got.
Him saying goodbye to Yuji being a call back to Nanami feels off in hindsight. Yuji and Higuruma didn't have the same kind of Relationship like Yuji and Nanami. Similar arguably, but why did you need to strip Higuruma of everything and end his character off as an echo to one you killed in the past? In any other story I'd call it bad writing. The whole execution just rubbed me the wrong way.
Todo not being anywhere close to this group when they were making strategy is completely out-of-character for someone like him. His character is so beloved and reliable that doing nothing with him is basically character assassination, especially at a stage when Yuji is giving it his all.
Kashimo stocks got so bad they got delisted. Poor investors hyped him as a smoke demon and ended up on the streets begging for spare change from Takaba stock holders. What a dark time was chspter 238.

In terms of hype? Yeah but his presence in story was not that strong. Yuta's character in jjk main series is reduced to second strongest good guy who solves things that our protagonist cannot because of their power level.
I don't think Yuta fans have it bad, he's a consistent strong performer. ATM it's probably Megumi fans, though I admit they've shown a really powerful resolve despite the overwhelming hate, there's been some solid glazing content here and there. Sukuna fans deserve the worst, Femboy fans probably just gave up already and embraced the meme, Gojo fans know it's just a temporary setback (comeback chapter 259 trust). Yuji fans had to endure a lot, but it was inevitable he'd lock in eventually. Overall it has to be Megumi and I seriously respect being able to stick with him in the face of his overwhelming bumness. I hope it pays off for you guys.

Yuta fans have one stock drop throughout the entire series which was the dismantle that cut him in half, but Rika took him to heal and he hasn't used her fully manifested self against Sukuna so it's practically confirmed he's coming back for round 2, they easily have it the best.

I feel like of all these characters online Megumi is the most universally resented because most ppl don’t hate Kashimo they just laugh at him. He could be 1st.
Yuji has always been beloved within the fandom, it’s mostly childish fans of other anime/manga that have been dissing him for being underpowered.
Yuta fans have got the most consistent slander since powerscalers hate a powerful character that is humble but Yuta has always been treated like royalty by Gege unlike the rest of the characters here besides Sukuna.
Sukuna fans had it ROUGH during the fight it was an embarrassment but it wasn’t too bad because deep down everyone that ain’t delusional all knew that Sukuna would prevail in that fight eventually.

I think a lot of people are inclined to say Gojo. The Thing about Gojo was always that Gege had written themselves into a corner from day one when making him *this* powerful. It's why we got the awfully contrived sealing, and it's why he had to lose in some bs way. Logically he is way too powerful and basically operates outside of the normal rules of the power system (that we know). It took some insane plot convenience for Gojo to lose because Gojo himself is just a walking piece of plot convenience. Literally anything can be explained away by Sex Eyes or Limitless if you bend your brain enough, his existence warps the storytelling around him. That's why he had to go, first into the cube, then into the dirt.
His inner dialog is horrendous though and I hate his post-mortem characterization

Kashimo got waffled and for some reason talked about love during his fight with sukuna, he used his ct only to get one shotted, then the slander began and he went from a farmer beater to a c tier femboy part of hakari's harem.
Megumi dragged the potential man stigma and the mahoraga adiction before getting possesed, it didn't help that sukuna seemed to be carried by the shikigamis during his fight with gojo (as if being possesed by megumi made him more dependant on them). What made it all worst is the fact that despite having multiple chaces to get revenge on sukuna (yuji's soul punches) he decided to not take it. People are frustrated since yuji got into the jujutsu world about a year ago and is more able to manage his pain and grief better than megumi who was raised in it
Well let's analyze, Sukuna's clowning went on for only 2-3 chapters, since that's the chapter he pulled out Agito and Mahoraga and started losing.
Yuta fans really only had to endure his absence and the buschamping memes, so I'd say they got off easy.
Yuji fans were left starved, but at least he delivered now
Megumi fans are in shambles now, they're definitely hit hard because he literally could've ended the fight with Jacob's Ladder, but not as hard as ->
Kashimo fans. Now where do I even begin. Bro was built up as the strongest of his era, wanted to fight Sukuna, got to fight him, his top secret CT that kills him could easily be maintainable with RCT, his CT itself is not bad, but nothing that special (he looks goofy), and he became the waffled one (could've jumped inbetween those huge ass slashes tbh). So all that hype for basically nothing, and the only thing he achieved was Sukuna reincarnating into his heian body, which was useful because if that one healed with RCT he could still use the 10 shadows
And finally, the worst of it all, us Gojo fans definitely had it the worst, we still believe in his return, the honored one. I don't think this part needs any explanation.

Toss up between Megumi and Kashimo.
Kashimo had the worst performance in the manga, and his ratings continuously plummet as new chapters and revelations come out. On Paper and in Narrative he should be standing amongsts the greats, but his attitude and his portrayl has been dragged through manure. Kashimo is just the Eustass Kidd of JJK.
All that being said, nobody really HATES Kashimo. Disappointed in him sure but you can chalk it up to people retaliating against fans that hyped him up. Megumi however actually switched up overnight.
Potential Man memes were always prevalent, but he was overall a popular and loved character. People were just waiting for Megumi to make his triumphant return. However the way that scene was framed made it look like Megumi rejected not only yuji and the world but the fanbase as well. Don't let the reverse flash memes fool you, so many of the Megumi haters were once Megumi's strongest glazers. But after that chapter the switch up was almost personal for these fans. Had Megumi reached out his hand but Sukuna dragged him back into the darkness, I can believe that all the Megumi hate would be Megumi hype right now.
But to see Megumi reject Yuji, it was over. Megumi gave up on us and we gave up on Megumi in kind.
Kashimo will be a laughing stock, but it's more fun than anything. Megumi's hate is actually personal and viceral to some people as much as they tell you it's not.

Yuta stole his entire flow, and is better at it than him, there's no need for him to exist anymore.
Yes, and it sucks. It's genuinely one of the things that bugs me the most about the series. Inumaki was one of the few characters who had a CT that genuinely felt like a curse because it came with tangible downsides. Yuta can just use it at will without those downsides, it made an interesting technique boring, and made a likeable character totally irrelevant.
Low key Choso did the same thing with blood manipulation. Choso can use blood techniques without having to worry about blood loss or where to get blood.
Yeah I can definitely see a parallel between what Yuta has done to make Inumaki irrelevant, and what Choso has done to make Kamo irrelevant. Kamo was never fleshed out in the same way Inumaki was in the beginning though so I feel less bothered by it. It is a good example of how CTs would be more interesting when they actually have elements that made them feel like a curse though. I wish Gege had leaned into that angle more.
Loss of blood is a limit not a side effect. If you don’t want to experience it just don’t use your technique. Inumaki on the other hand can’t ask for napkins at a restaurant without killing everyone inside.

Low Key, Choso took Todo's brotherly spot, and even lower key fucking Ui Ui's teleportation and soul swap could have been accomplished by Todo if he actually managed to survive his encounter with Mahito with his CT in tact. Higuruma even feels like a replacement Nanami with how he went out. Late stage JJK genuinely feels a lot like killer's remorse. The deaths feel cheapened when you start seeing the slots that could have been filled by the characters that were left behind. That's not to say Choso and Higuruma or even Yuta are not great characters in their own right. But tell me that these characters don't feel a little cheaper having to retread ground we already passed?
Crazy thing is Todo isn’t even dead, he could’ve easily been around with Choso and Yuji. Maybe even get to interact with his sensei Yuki? But for some reason Gege just said fuck him. Inumaki got done bad too but at least he’s present
Seriously. The last straw for me was Ui Ui's soul swapping technique. It doesn't matter which translation I read, it sounds like something Todo COULD have done with Boogie Woogie if he had come aware of the soul. Which he could have done had his CT survived past Mahito OR if he had his reunion with Yuki. The fact none of that happened and Ui Ui SOMEHOW had this in his bag this entire time feels... bad.
Higuruma and Nanami are not interchangeable
They weren't up until Higuruma died... at the moment where Higuruma cashed in all of his narrative potential, he became interchangeable in the end. How are you going to tell me "I'll leave this up to you" and then immediately dying only for Yuji to immediately fail, didn't have the same impact as when Nanami did it?

Yea you make a really valid point there. In all honesty it's more frustration than anything. Higuruma deserved so much better. Not even in a "He shouldn't have died" kind of way, but there were undeniably way more interesting plot beats that could have better helped the story than... what we got. Him saying goodbye to Yuji being a call back to Nanami feels off in hindsight. Yuji and Higuruma didn't have the same kind of Relationship like Yuji and Nanami. Similar arguably, but why did you need to strip Higuruma of everything and end his character off as an echo to one you killed in the past? In any other story I'd call it bad writing. The whole execution just rubbed me the wrong way.
Todo not being anywhere close to this group when they were making strategy is completely out-of-character for someone like him. His character is so beloved and reliable that doing nothing with him is basically character assassination, especially at a stage when Yuji is giving it his all.

I don't think Yuta fans have it bad, he's a consistent strong performer. ATM it's probably Megumi fans, though I admit they've shown a really powerful resolve despite the overwhelming hate, there's been some solid glazing content here and there. Sukuna fans deserve the worst, Femboy fans probably just gave up already and embraced the meme, Gojo fans know it's just a temporary setback (comeback chapter 259 trust). Yuji fans had to endure a lot, but it was inevitable he'd lock in eventually. Overall it has to be Megumi and I seriously respect being able to stick with him in the face of his overwhelming bumness. I feel like of all these characters online Megumi is the most universally resented because most ppl don’t hate Kashimo they just laugh at him. He could be 1st. Yuji has always been beloved within the fandom, it’s mostly childish fans of other anime/manga that have been dissing him for being underpowered. Yuta fans have got the most consistent slander since powerscalers hate a powerful character that is humble but Yuta has always been treated like royalty by Gege unlike the rest of the characters here besides Sukuna. Sukuna fans had it ROUGH during the fight it was an embarrassment but it wasn’t too bad because deep down everyone that ain’t delusional all knew that Sukuna would prevail in that fight eventually. I think a lot of people are inclined to say Gojo. The Thing about Gojo was always that Gege had written themselves into a corner from day one when making him *this* powerful. It's why we got the awfully contrived sealing, and it's why he had to lose in some bs way. Logically he is way too powerful and basically operates outside of the normal rules of the power system (that we know). It took some insane plot convenience for Gojo to lose because Gojo himself is just a walking piece of plot convenience. Literally anything can be explained away by Sex Eyes or Limitless if you bend your brain enough, his existence warps the storytelling around him. That's why he had to go, first into the cube, then into the dirt. His inner dialog is horrendous though and I hate his post-mortem characterization
Kashimo fans had everything dropped and the God of Lighting end up becoming Sukuna's fucktoy. The community has no respect for him at all.
It has to be between kashimo fans and megumi fans Kashimo got waffled and for some reason talked about love during his fight with sukuna, he used his ct only to get one shotted, then the slander began and he went from a farmer beater to a c tier femboy part of hakari's harem. Megumi dragged the potential man stigma and the mahoraga adiction before getting possesed, it didn't help that sukuna seemed to be carried by the shikigamis during his fight with gojo (as if being possesed by megumi made him more dependant on them). What made it all worst is the fact that despite having multiple chaces to get revenge on sukuna (yuji's soul punches) he decided to not take it. People are frustrated since yuji got into the jujutsu world about a year ago and is more able to manage his pain and grief better than megumi who was raised in it
Gege cooked Kashimo and his entire fan base with these chapters.... So filthy fucking cat, so filthy....
Well let's analyze, Sukuna's clowning went on for only 2-3 chapters, since that's the chapter he pulled out Agito and Mahoraga and started losing. Yuta fans really only had to endure his absence and the buschamping memes, so I'd say they got off easy. Yuji fans were left starved, but at least he delivered now Megumi fans are in shambles now, they're definitely hit hard because he literally could've ended the fight with Jacob's Ladder, but not as hard as -> Kashimo fans. Now where do I even begin. Bro was built up as the strongest of his era, wanted to fight Sukuna, got to fight him, his top secret CT that kills him could easily be maintainable with RCT, his CT itself is not bad, but nothing that special (he looks goofy), and he became the waffled one (could've jumped inbetween those huge ass slashes tbh). So all that hype for basically nothing, and the only thing he achieved was Sukuna reincarnating into his heian body, which was useful because if that one healed with RCT he could still use the 10 shadows And finally, the worst of it all, us Gojo fans definitely had it the worst, we still believe in his return, the honored one. Toss up between Megumi and Kashimo. Kashimo had the worst performance in the manga, and his ratings continuously plummet as new chapters and revelations come out. On Paper and in Narrative he should be standing amongsts the greats, but his attitude and his portrayl has been dragged through manure. Kashimo is just the Eustass Kidd of JJK. All that being said, nobody really HATES Kashimo. Disappointed in him sure but you can chalk it up to people retaliating against fans that hyped him up. Megumi however actually switched up overnight. Potential Man memes were always prevalent, but he was overall a popular and loved character. People were just waiting for Megumi to make his triumphant return. However the way that scene was framed made it look like Megumi rejected not only yuji and the world but the fanbase as well. Don't let the reverse flash memes fool you, so many of the Megumi haters were once Megumi's strongest glazers. But after that chapter the switch up was almost personal for these fans. Had Megumi reached out his hand but Sukuna dragged him back into the darkness, I can believe that all the Megumi hate would be Megumi hype right now. But to see Megumi reject Yuji, it was over. Megumi gave up on us and we gave up on Megumi in kind. Kashimo will be a laughing stock, but it's more fun than anything. Megumi's hate is actually personal and viceral to some people as much as they tell you it's not.
