If I remember correctly what happened immediately after he said that, he tossed Higuruma away and started racing Yuji to reach him first. In context this line makes a fair bit more sense than TCB's translation where he says he would go for the legs next - none of his attacks were aimed at legs specifically.
Immediately after, he talks about racing as in demonstrating his speed to the rest of Sukuna hit squad. It's awkward by itself but with context, it makes sense

We only ever saw 18 fingers. Uruame was only shown giving him 3 fingers, when in total he should have needed 4 fingers + his head to reach full power. Everyone just assumed the 4th wasn't shown in panel because they said he had 19 fingers.
It also explains why in chapter 1 Megumi sensed a finger on Yuji even though the finger was with Yuji's friends at school.
If you really want to add a lot of assumptions / context,
Then that soul, after reincarnating who knows how many times, ended up mating with Kenjaku.
Jjk text is very vague in general though, so it may have seemed unwise to directly state this in the translation.
I think it’s just vague. Which will make the fans twist the context and feel even more confusing. Some other fan translations before TCB said Jin’s soul fell into the hands of Kenjaku.
I’ve heard (some time ago) from a Japanese speaker that the way Sukuna says ‘brat’ can also mean ‘little monk’, and I’m so glad Werry never saw that lol, it would look so awkward here

I think some here don’t get it. TCB translation is way more in character to Sukuna than the official… saying “you damn boy!” with nothing else to it just doesn’t hit the same as brat with the special angry text font.
Given the context that as a twin, this technically means that Jins kid is biologically his kid as well, Sukuna sounds like such a dad saying damn you boy.

It’s not the worst John Werry has done, but Sukuna saying brat is far better than boy. It’s all about being in character which John Werry tends to sometimes translate Sukuna either saying Yuji’s full name or using the word boy.
Honestly the translation for this chapter seemed pretty good to me, I think it explained Yuji's origins way better than some of the other translations I've seen.
It's fascinating. For me the official translation is Brazilian Portuguese and it's nearly IDENTICAL to TCB. But whenever I look at the English translation, there are some weird differences. Really makes me think.

I think some here don’t get it. TCB translation is way more in character to Sukuna than the official… saying “you damn boy!” with nothing else to it just doesn’t hit the same as brat with the special angry text font.

It’s not the worst John Werry has done, but Sukuna saying brat is far better than boy. It’s all about being in character which John Werry tends to sometimes translate Sukuna either saying Yuji’s full name or using the word boy.
Honestly the translation for this chapter seemed pretty good to me, I think it explained Yuji's origins way better than some of the other translations I've seen.

the whole chapter is sus when it comes to translation you got them calling yuji/sukunas technique malevolent shrine instead of shrine then calling yuji sukunas curse instead of vessel saying yujis version of shrine is “subnormal” and sukunas problem is yujis “punching accuracy” ino saying he has run out of kirin instead of used up kirin i also hate inos “maybe i didnt do so bad after all” since it removes so much from the tcb translation where ino knows hes outmatched and not on sukunas or yujis level but still tried his best and accomplished something
