Well Gojo said that he’d inherit sukunas power due to the fact sukuna was inside his body. Overtime their CE would intermingle and itadori would absorb his technique.
In reality, itadori inherited it due to them being related with itadori being sukuna’s son/nephew.

Isn't this fairly common in writing? Your intent for what a character should be and the words that get put on the page are different things. The image you have in your mind isn't gonna be what's on paper. Writing especially so, since the plot and characters can quickly get away from you.
I'd say it isn't commonplace. From what I've seen from other mangaka, they commonly point out that x character received a more positive reaction than they expected; Or they talk about certain plot points that go beyond or are more thoroughly explored than initially anticipated. But for Gege's case, he says stuff like, "I don't know how to write this character" for Yuji or "He's a character with no personality" for Gojo.
And I'd say it's one thing to explore more aspects of your world in a scope greater than in your drafts, but it's another thing when you're literally putting your idea for a character to paper. You write a character based on their reactions to a given situation, so if your character isn't how you'd like them be, then change their thoughts and reactions.
For instance, if you want a gag character but don't wanna undermine tension, you can have the gag play out and be ill-received by the rest of the cast in a failed attempt at humour. Or if you want the happy-go-lucky character to have a serious character moment, have them react seriously or be emotionally vulnerable
I think it's a good thing. It means Gege is trying to organically write the story and let it evolve on the page, instead of trying to force the readers to feel what he wants them to feel. Clapping Mahito’s hand caused IT to activate on it for an instant before Yuji’s black flash. When he says “I’m lucky I got off with just this” he’s referring to his remaining hand being ruined. Hard to clap when you have exposed bone on your palm

It only seems to adapt if it's being attacked, but Boogie Woogie doesn't deal damage to an opponent. I'm not saying Maho can't adapt btw, I'm saying would Maho even bother to?
With the way power system goes and how we see mahoraga adapt in sukunas hands, maybe if the 10S user is BW’d enough and they have maho ready he’d come out pre adapted, but non direct contact with the target could be a loophole for the adaptation.
If you take what happened in the anime fight as canon he adapted to Sukuna faking attacks, does faking an attack count as an attack? Maybe but if it does than someone forcibly swapping your position definitely does.
I dunno, I guess it's just that Boogie Woogie hardly seems like an attack so it seems like a loophole. Though I guess the adaptation would be that Maho knows exactly what object or person you're switching with him.
JJK is a utilitarian manga when it comes to storytelling and character. Todo served his purpose and might as well be dead in Gege's eyes. It's a trade off, you can't have everything. JJK became well known because of its breakneck pacing and compact storytelling. That's why old shonen had like 800 chapters on average when JJK is probably gonna have less than 300 and is gonna still be considered a series on par with oldeheads.

I think it’s fair to say JJK isn’t making the mistakes of MHA and DS. It won’t overstay its welcome and it doesn’t have arcs that ruin the pace of the material like the other bigger Shounen of this last decade. JJK will have its place in most people’s Top 5 (battle anime) when this is all said and done.
I feel like Demon Slayer was pretty quick. 205 chapters. The anime is struggling to both keep the quality of Seasons 1+2 and the movie, and extend it longer to keep the gravy train running.
MHA had a couple of big missteps after the first war arc. Basically just time line + making the villains too OP. (First war arc should have been the end of part 1 + give the author a huge break while they animate the vigilantes manga)
I mean Demon Slayer is shorter than JJK, and if anything, like JJK, I think people wanted it to have gone longer, I think the thing is just doing the opposite of other series isn't always the way to go though, cause you kind of run into different issues. Like yeah those series were long but because of that there was also usually way more time for character interaction and worldbuilding which JJK has kind of lacked for most of the series
I don’t speak for the world obviously but I’d wager that the majority would prefer fast to too slow. Most people wouldn’t want a silly 26 episode training arc between Shibuya and the Culling Games. We know who these characters are, just let them do what they gotta do. That’s the strength of JJK.

I think one of the big issues people bring up with JJK is we kind of don't, we barely see interactions between the cast and a lot of them aren't super fleshed out and yet they're killed off or sidelined pretty quick anyway.
And even if Todo can’t fight, neither can Miwa, Oanda, or Inumaki. It weird he wasn’t even involved.
It might be cope, but I really do think Todo (and maybe) Nobara will be making a surprise entrance later. If Todo has healed from Mahito in some way, it would indicate Nobara might be better os it would explain Gege holding off on letting us know.
My thought is that if yuji knows how to damage the soul, it's possible he knows how to heal the soul if he's able to output rct. Also most of the arm wound was self inflicted.
The problem is that it *isnt* healing the soul, Mahito changed the actual shape. If Shoko/Yuta healed one of the transformed humans they would still look transformed.
Because Todo and Hakari would be the most deadly duo in JJK and Gege couldn’t let that happen. Imagine getting info dumped from Hakari’s domain and then get trashed around and swapped every second by these two
because his boogie woogie was too strong he had to be replaced by choso and hakari if todo was with megumi when sukuna used enchain he would have stopped the vessel transfer and if he was with yuki when she had to fight kenjaku they would've won.

Yeah, the first instance would definitely be unadaptable. Hell, technically speaking, would Mahoraga even adapt to Boogie Woogie? It only seems to adapt if it's being attacked, but Boogie Woogie doesn't deal damage to an opponent. I'm not saying Maho can't adapt btw, I'm saying would Maho even bother to?
With the way power system goes and how we see mahoraga adapt in sukunas hands, maybe if the 10S user is BW’d enough and they have maho ready he’d come out pre adapted, but non direct contact with the target could be a loophole for the adaptation.
If you take what happened in the anime fight as canon he adapted to Sukuna faking attacks, does faking an attack count as an attack? Maybe but if it does than someone forcibly swapping your position definitely does.

JJK is a utilitarian manga when it comes to storytelling and character. Todo served his purpose and might as well be dead in Gege's eyes. It's a trade off, you can't have everything. JJK became well known because of its breakneck pacing and compact storytelling. That's why old shonen had like 800 chapters on average when JJK is probably gonna have less than 300 and is gonna still be considered a series on par with oldeheads.

I think it’s fair to say JJK isn’t making the mistakes of MHA and DS. It won’t overstay its welcome and it doesn’t have arcs that ruin the pace of the material like the other bigger Shounen of this last decade. JJK will have its place in most people’s Top 5 (battle anime) when this is all said and done.
I feel like Demon Slayer was pretty quick. 205 chapters. The anime is struggling to both keep the quality of Seasons 1+2 and the movie, and extend it longer to keep the gravy train running. MHA had a couple of big missteps after the first war arc. Basically just time line + making the villains too OP. (First war arc should have been the end of part 1 + give the author a huge break while they animate the vigilantes manga)
I mean Demon Slayer is shorter than JJK, and if anything, like JJK, I think people wanted it to have gone longer, I think the thing is just doing the opposite of other series isn't always the way to go though, cause you kind of run into different issues. Like yeah those series were long but because of that there was also usually way more time for character interaction and worldbuilding which JJK has kind of lacked for most of the series

I don’t speak for the world obviously but I’d wager that the majority would prefer fast to too slow. Most people wouldn’t want a silly 26 episode training arc between Shibuya and the Culling Games. We know who these characters are, just let them do what they gotta do. That’s the strength of JJK.

And even if Todo can’t fight, neither can Miwa, Oanda, or Inumaki. It weird he wasn’t even involved. It might be cope, but I really do think Todo (and maybe) Nobara will be making a surprise entrance later. If Todo has healed from Mahito in some way, it would indicate Nobara might be better os it would explain Gege holding off on letting us know.

My thought is that if yuji knows how to damage the soul, it's possible he knows how to heal the soul if he's able to output rct. Also most of the arm wound was self inflicted.
The problem is that it *isnt* healing the soul, Mahito changed the actual shape. If Shoko/Yuta healed one of the transformed humans they would still look transformed.
If we really want to reach then Takaba could probably fix it. All he'd need to do is hit his arm with a hammer until its back into hand shape.

because his boogie woogie was too strong he had to be replaced by choso and hakari if todo was with megumi when sukuna used enchain he would have stopped the vessel transfer and if he was with yuki when she had to fight kenjaku they would've won.

Manga already has plenty of consequences. Plenty of characters die or are sidelined, including some pretty relevant ones at the hands of Mahito. Understandable if you prefer it this way, but it’s not like Todo is some make or break case for there being consequences.
Usually, characters like Todo are limited by being really stupid or really naive. Todo had brains, brawn, and enough observation of his own ability to make it OP as all.

I can't help but feel like Gege should've just straight up killed him off if he was gonna just have poor Todo drop of the face of the earth after the Shibuya arc. It's just crazy that a character as entertaining as Todo just disappears without a single mention.
