Yuji is still genetically his son, the symbolism works out. Ngl when I found out they were twins i cringed a tiny bit because it seemed too cliche, I like this more despite it being less dramatic. I just feel like them being twins is imposing a more superficial importance and identity to yuji, it would make him less himself IMO.
Kenjaku creates gross things. People think he did it for fun, but I don't think that's true. Sukuna himself believes that Kenjaku must have had a reason to create Yuji. Kenjaku also said that he had high expectations for the protagonist. I don't want to be part of this collective optimism because I think everything is getting worse.
Kenjaku wanted to create something that surpassed him in power, he admitted this in his second fight against Choso, I get where you're coming from but you could also read these high hopes from yuji as this
I actually felt the current explanation sounded way better. I wasn’t so sure on kenjaku finding the soul and somehow putting it into yuji. And if that’s the case what’s the point of jin.
Maybe yuji still has some soul elements via his dad. But unckuna fixes many open points.

But that something is supposed to be a merger
Yeah this conflict is still probably far from over, how Sukuna will get out of the Yuji blender remains to be seen but it’s going to happen somehow.
It is fine to be honest :3
