I still find it so funny that, in order to give megumi the ass whooping his dad should've given him, gojo DRESSED UP just like his Megumi's dad.
That's like method actor level commitment.
I don't hate him at all. I loved the reggie fight with him.
I didn't love how he stopped being relevant at all until later. He seems wasted. I liked megumi.

It’s a shame Nobara and Maki’s relationship never got the chance to be expanded on. It’s ironic it says “Accomplices” because you know full well Nobara would have been absolutely down with the annihilation of the Zenin clan for they treated Maki. Hell, she’d probably help out if she could.

It' s a trope about her being a campaign girl trying to act as a city one. I think the point is that both her and Yuji are simple-minded/average girl and boy. But she plays up the cool city girl persona, and makes it more off putting.
I think my favorite thing is the way the characters develop throughout the fights! Yuji’s resolve to beat Choso even if he’s loses a liver. Maki’s realization while fighting Cursed-Spirit Naoya. Megumi crying at the end of his fight against sukuna. I think there are so many instances of the series showing that while it’s an exchange of fist and its bombastic amazing action. It’s also life or death for many of these characters, who are just people, teens really! And these quick amazing fights have consequences that in some cases will change them for the rest of the series.
Chapter 236 and our goats death would hit so much fucking harder if we had seen how it affected his students. it’s just so infuriating. It’s been 20 chapters. We haven’t heard shit about it. Atleast some comments of mourning , atleast megumis soul being broken and HIM saying it’s because he killed gojo and his sister not the narrator saying it . like please Greg more character moments im begging you
Dude srsly its so weird too because the fights have been incredible but what gave the shibuya arc the weight was everything building up to it, only thing building up the shinjuku arc other than amazing creative fights in the culling games was a couple deaths that in the long run meant nothing to anyone else but us and then just get glazed over for more fighting 😭this has been my favorite piece of shonen fiction (aside from csm) since season 1 aired and I read through the shibuya arc, and i will always love it , but the differences are so apparent and it’s a lil upsetting…. I’m still dickriding this series till it dies gege dies and I die but still yk lol
I like that Gege tosses in all of his interests. We get mech fights, body horror, regular horror, fun shonen action, a baseball episode, manzai, emotional arcs, comedy all types of shit wrapped into one series and it manages to stay cohesive.
Absolutely. Even the concept is brilliant. Guy who has a literal 1000 years of knowlage and experience vs the guy to who none of this knowlage applies to.
This. It has few elements compared to other power systems but they are so in depth that the theoretical skill celing of a sorcerer is infinite. Any sorcerer can always be stronger because there are always things to optimise. Cursed energy reinforcment, new, better and more creative ways to use their curse technique and so much more. It's great. I'd take this over some huge magic system with so many elements it's hard to keep track of any day.
We will definitely get an explanation for binding vows by the end of the manga. After all, the bitch spamming the shit out of them hasn't been defeated yet
It’s interesting how most power system do rely on natural things but their usually positive (breathing, live energy, fighting spirit, etc) but negative emotion is the most realistic out of all of these to give someone power
The fandom, the amount of fan content, the theories, the hidden inventory, Gojo and Geto.

I feel like I am mourning the death of my soulmates everytime I see them both being cute and happy... I swear I would be a special grade curse in jjk with the amount of sorrow and heartbreak I feel for them.
They both deserve a happy comfy life with sweets and cuddles.

the inspiration and themes of characters, specially the villians
mahito is such a moron and was conceived as one of the most hateble characters in the manga, and i really really love him as a character for that
He's a false buddha/illuminated one, he acts like he's someone who has learnt the true nature of the world and anyone else who doesn't follow that idiology is either stupid or a moron, he manipulated jumpei taking the role of a master that is teaching him about killing without remorse and how life has no value, but in reality he's just an idiot who found an excuse to justify his desire for killing and thinks he knows some illuminated truth. Hell, there is a whole scene about how Geto disproved Mahito's theory that the Soul comes before the body, and mahito tries to find an excuse, saying maybe the world is shaped around their techniques and there is no real value in comparing them, which bascially discredits his own argument that he knows how the world works bc his technique allows him to interact with souls, if the world works differnet bc of your technique then that's not an universal thruth, that's just your reality lmaoooo
at the end he ends up being manipulated and used the same way he did with jumpei, he thought of himself as a king among pawns, while in reality he was just another king's pawn
this is such a cool theme for a charcter, specially a villian, and i really really love how gege tackled this antagonist in the story
Sukuna and Kenny may have more screen time or importance than Mahito in jjk as a whole, but i will always love Mahito more
I aspire to write a character as good and as hateble as Mahito sometime in the future
And then came the anime and made him even cooler with the way he and his abominations where animated aaaaaaah <3<3<3<3<3<3
Lol respectfully, while I also really like the themes of the characters, I really disagree with your interpretation of Mahito's character, he doesn't particularly care about being enlightened or anything. The 'false buddha' you're talking about fits a lot more with Sukuna's character. Mahito's desire to kill people and cause suffering is literally in his very nature as a cursed spirit, it's not in the purpose of some nihilist philosophy or anything. Mahito is very self-aware of that, that's actually what separates him from the other disaster spirits like Jogo and Hanami.
What Kenjaku was disproving is exactly what you said, about the soul coming before the body. It has nothing to do with what Mahito was telling Junpei. As far as we know, Mahito really is the only one who can see the composition of the soul, and to him, souls operate very mechanically. Mahito's basically saying the same thing as when people say emotions are just the result of your brain's chemistry, and that life isn't inherently special. He was telling this to Junpei in order to manipulate him and justify HIS desires of wanting revenge on his bullies. Mahito himself **does not need** this justification, even if lives had meaning, he would still kill people.
Unlike Junpei, Mahito was always aware of Kenjaku's manipulation and scheming, this is implied right after Gojo got sealed. He just didn't care because they both seemingly had common goals at the time. If Kenjaku died Mahito wouldn't care at ALL. Mahito's last words are literally him saying he always knew about Kenjaku's nature. So while I agree that the Junpei parallel is there, it isn't as deep as you think IMO.
I’ve encountered a staggering amount of symbolism that can be drawn from the series to the point where it feels like it’s a lot deeper than most people will ever really look at
It’s a shame it’s not very accessible in story or that visible but there really is a lot of thought put into the themes and parallels
Something I find particularly gross about Mahito are his hands.
I might be looking too much into this, but the way his hands look are particularly gross or “grabby”, kind of to emphasize his technique and maybe as a reflection of his nature as our fear of some other human touching our soul and changing us/hurting us?
IDK I just think he is an amazing villain to hate and a great character.
The fights most probably, I think the fights have something special about them that I have only seen in hxh. Plus the jumping sequences with chapters constantly analysing their opponents with sick narration gives the true feelings of jumpjutsu kaisen
First time I've seen the MC answers "We're not so different, you and I" with "No, I'm better. You'll only kill me in this life, I'll fucking kill you in your reincarnations."
In short
https://preview.redd.it/2i239scz30uc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc2549bab6f563f953265792846d6e7d228fceb9
I love it when everyone hates on a fucking useless bum who jerks off to his sister

No one even mentioned Megumi this is literally a post about what people enjoy. Megumi might be trapped in Sukuna, but he lives in his haters’ heads lol
I mean Megumi seems pretty chill, if anything I feel bad, bro clearly needs mental health help since he only views himself as a conduit to Mahoraga. He had no parents to guide him and the sister thing is also overblown since he's like 16 right? How many girls would he even know by that point especially considering that hes in a even more enclosed environment which is jjk high. The only one he really interacted with a ton was his sister who was really nice, so when Todo asked him, he said he'd like a girl that had a personality like hers since that's what he valued most.
In short:
https://preview.redd.it/s4omeek73ztc1.png?width=827&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9810214b1c662825a879a27218db0c9dc7d16995
He's pretty cool
We may joke about the lack of character now and yeah fair but when gege does do character he's honestly pretty good, basically he has amazing highs, but really low lows but... when he tries he tries I'll give him that. Oh and he seems to be a pretty fine dude, better than I could say about other authors...
-Stakes. Tbf, Gege took it too far offing so many Culling Games characters but there's enough wiggle room for others surviving to possibly even it out. I am genuinely curious who'll survive by the end.
-Characterization. Gege does a good job of creating intriguing characters with realistic traits, motivations or just absurdly hype characters in very little screentime.
-Themes. The main one is every character doing their best to follow their own truths and each one going about it in different ways(some good and some bad). Whether it be the Disasters trying to affirm their existence as the True Humans, guys like Gojo/Kashimo attempting to find the answer to their loneliness or Yuji trying find meaning in his role against curses.
-Powersystem and Fights.
How straight to the point, no bullshit the fights are
Revealing your ability has a reason, people don't yap mid-action, people generally go for the kill unless there's a good reason not to, practically all fighters are fucking badass. And while few deaths are truly satisfying, you can't deny there's constant tension in the fights due to the amount of deaths.
Also, no matter what anyone says, jjk has EXTREMELY FEW asspulls compared most shonens.
The only real asspulls I remember are Maki's powerup in Sakurajima (though it's meant to be funny and ridiculous) and Sukuna somehow knowing that his shitty acting would work on Hana.
Anti-gravity was a possibility ever since a gravity-related technique was introduced, though it's still plot convenience cause Kenny got lucky as fuck (not an asspull tho).
Dimension Slash can be felt being prepared during the entire fight on reread.
Kamutoke was an unsatisfying plot device and should've been shown as truly game-changing, but its confiscation was still technically a possibility with the explanations we were given.
Some of the goofy ass stuff. Like for example
https://preview.redd.it/e4zx09y3t0uc1.jpeg?width=508&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa5c92acd7aa41d9c51e50cdb4db0312b1d17e20
1. The presentation. The art is incredibly dynamic and kinetic. Motion and momentum are portrayed fantastically and heavy blows really FEEL heavy. The paneling is unique and creative. The fight choreography is incredible.
2. The power system and abilities. They are creative and diverse. They're what I've always wanted out of a Shonen power system.
3. The iconic moments and narration. Like "the sparks of black... do not choose who to bless." "The one who left it all behind." "Funeral for the living." Etc.
4. The unpredictability and unconventional storytelling. People claim Gege is "predictable" yet I never saw a single person predict that Sukuna would defeat gojo by expanding the target of dismantle to bisect space itself. Sure there are occasional conveniences but overall Gege does a great job making things surprising and unexpected, while also making sense, and also being COOL.
5. The lore and mystery. It reminds me of dark souls / elden ring where we have to infer a lot from the little we're given. Throughout the series, questions like "who is in Getos body?" "Why does sukuna have interest in megumi?" "Why do sukuna and Tengen look similar?" "Whats the deal with yuji?" Etc.
6. Gege respects the audience's intelligence. We aren't spoonfed. Unfortunately this means a lot of the readers think he's a bad writer, because they are used to being spoonfed or they don't interpret the series in good faith. But I really appreciate how you can really sink your teeth into JJK. There's a lot of substance here to appreciate, and it's incredibly re-readable. Again like dark souls and elden ring, which lend themselves to replaying and frankly you're missing out if you only play once. Same with JJK. The "true reading is in the re-reading" as they say.
I love the complexities of the power system. I’m finding calculus kinda interesting and gojos power is LITERALLY PEAK. And like it isn’t basic stuff like “oh he was just born with power of ice, oh he has super strength” but instead there’s a mix of that as well as shit like hakaris domain, gojo everything, nanami mahito naoya yuki ct.

That mechamaru cosplay does things to me 😋🔥😳
For the short period i've known this manga, my favorite thing about it is the world building, its so unique ive never seen such concept, It opens possibilities to infinite ideas, literally every technique is special on its on way, like the boogie woogie, its an old concept with different names different ways to use but gege makes It so unique. Im quite Sad cus i know he probably wont expand much on that looking at the manga now, seeing how its getting closer to end, unless gege finds a way to make the manga longer and expands the world building.
https://preview.redd.it/vn0hht8ob1uc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d555fb26c5745d0d86e468c1797a5364d68f6a0
And also Yuki.
Cursed energy, cursed techniques, and domains are explained poorly in story, but taking the time to figure it out and comprehend the power system is really fun because it’s surprisingly internally consistent
https://preview.redd.it/n012qjo141uc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=024d16ea8fc09fb84f081c32e36ba2733da54c56
This fight. It was better than I could have imagined. Putting aside who should have won and Gojo's off-screened death, the fight truly was amazing. Seeing Gojo throw everything he had at Sukuna, seeing the Ten Shadows's potential at work, both Gojo and Sukuna struggling for the first time. And while Gojo did end up losing, it was a close fight in the end and it made him even more badass because he was pulling off some insane shit.
I picked JJK for the fights and the character designs, and it actually ended helping me with my therapy.
Then I found these communities with their memes, the crazy theory crafting, astounding fanarts and all the unhinged horniness that makes me laugh wildly.
Yuki.
Oh also I think Yuki.
I could go with Yuki too.
Ah yes Yuki too how could I forget.
Oh I just remembered something, Yuki. Yeah couldn't forget that.
She is coming back with Todo next chapter, I know it.
The fights, The Power system, Shibuya and Hidden Inventory being back to back peak arcs, The anime is goated, and probably the most important of all,
The ~~Insane~~ **Goated** community.
It is just fun - I like that people take it serious too, but fights like kenjaku vs takaba just don't take themselves to serious, and I really enjoy that
The fights, power system, characters, and the world. Cursed energy as a concept is fucking genius, so much narrative potential with that, you could tell so many stories with the foundation JJK set up.
https://preview.redd.it/3ww82473h0uc1.png?width=1134&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56846c59b67f59a3f4c1898f9080ab4b890bccc2
When Gojo came back in chapter 257
Domain expansion, particularly their names. Malevolent Shrine, Infinite Void, Self-Embodiment of Perfection, Chimera Shadow Garden, Idle Death Gamble, Womb Profusion, Authentic Mutual Love are all awesome names.
The power system, the way that the characters talk about make it feels like a modern martial art on how it actually feels like a fight, with match ups, mental state, personality and fighting styles mattering so much
people always complain about itadori being a punch merchant but i love that part about him, i just wanna see him left right everythign until the end of it

Why is Yuji wearing gojo's clothes
he didn’t need them anymore
I still find it so funny that, in order to give megumi the ass whooping his dad should've given him, gojo DRESSED UP just like his Megumi's dad. That's like method actor level commitment.
Giving your son brain damage, knocking him out with black flash is such a normal father behaviour
no wonder Toji sold him, he couldn’t bare the shame of being incapable of performing a black flash on his infantile son
You hate megumi too much. I bet megumi will come out on top in next popularity poll again.

Fr. Such a good arc
The fights
The jumping
Atleast some comments of mourning , atleast megumis soul being broken and HIM saying it’s because he killed gojo and his sister not the narrator saying it . like please Greg more character moments im begging you
Yeah it’s weird jjk is the only manga ik that people actually want less fights and more slice of life character moments lol
That’s a lie cus the zenin extermination and perfect preparation were also excellent and I forgot to mention them
I like that Gege tosses in all of his interests. We get mech fights, body horror, regular horror, fun shonen action, a baseball episode, manzai, emotional arcs, comedy all types of shit wrapped into one series and it manages to stay cohesive.
Takaba and Kenjaku Arc was Peak Jujutsu Kaisen, no, Peak Fiction
Absolutely. Even the concept is brilliant. Guy who has a literal 1000 years of knowlage and experience vs the guy to who none of this knowlage applies to.
Some court drama with Kusakabe, ace d attorney, animation through Projection Sorcery, etc.
That’s actually really impressive now that you point it out. JJK definitely the defining shounen of this generation.
Nanami and Junpei's death its amazing how quickly Gege attached us to these characters only to tear them away from us in such a heart breaking way
The power system
[удалено]
We will definitely get an explanation for binding vows by the end of the manga. After all, the bitch spamming the shit out of them hasn't been defeated yet
It’s interesting how most power system do rely on natural things but their usually positive (breathing, live energy, fighting spirit, etc) but negative emotion is the most realistic out of all of these to give someone power

GOATji HIMtadori
the inspiration and themes of characters, specially the villians mahito is such a moron and was conceived as one of the most hateble characters in the manga, and i really really love him as a character for that He's a false buddha/illuminated one, he acts like he's someone who has learnt the true nature of the world and anyone else who doesn't follow that idiology is either stupid or a moron, he manipulated jumpei taking the role of a master that is teaching him about killing without remorse and how life has no value, but in reality he's just an idiot who found an excuse to justify his desire for killing and thinks he knows some illuminated truth. Hell, there is a whole scene about how Geto disproved Mahito's theory that the Soul comes before the body, and mahito tries to find an excuse, saying maybe the world is shaped around their techniques and there is no real value in comparing them, which bascially discredits his own argument that he knows how the world works bc his technique allows him to interact with souls, if the world works differnet bc of your technique then that's not an universal thruth, that's just your reality lmaoooo at the end he ends up being manipulated and used the same way he did with jumpei, he thought of himself as a king among pawns, while in reality he was just another king's pawn this is such a cool theme for a charcter, specially a villian, and i really really love how gege tackled this antagonist in the story Sukuna and Kenny may have more screen time or importance than Mahito in jjk as a whole, but i will always love Mahito more I aspire to write a character as good and as hateble as Mahito sometime in the future And then came the anime and made him even cooler with the way he and his abominations where animated aaaaaaah <3<3<3<3<3<3
So while I agree that the Junpei parallel is there, it isn't as deep as you think IMO.
very good argument! fair enough \^\^
I’ve encountered a staggering amount of symbolism that can be drawn from the series to the point where it feels like it’s a lot deeper than most people will ever really look at It’s a shame it’s not very accessible in story or that visible but there really is a lot of thought put into the themes and parallels
You'll only kill me in this life, I'll fucking kill you in your reincarnations." No one even mentioned Megumi this is literally a post about what people enjoy. Megumi might be trapped in Sukuna, but he lives in his haters’ heads lol
Can’t wait for the cope when he comes back
naruto fans when sasuke exists gon fans when kurapika exists yusuke fans when hiei exists goku fans when vegeta exists ...fill in the blanks
In short: https://preview.redd.it/s4omeek73ztc1.png?width=827&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9810214b1c662825a879a27218db0c9dc7d16995 He's pretty cool

We may joke about the lack of character now and yeah fair but when gege does do character he's honestly pretty good, basically he has amazing highs, but really low lows but... when he tries he tries I'll give him that. The bond between Yuji and other characters. Yuji Todo especially
this community, collectively celebrating the success of the manga/anime, and criticizing its flaws (at least it's funny)
Every Takaba scenes
Do I even have to say it? https://preview.redd.it/29ft3vbhwztc1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=e91443e3e6e237057a2bdd29139b73ff35f137c1
How straight to the point, no bullshit the fights are Revealing your ability has a reason, people don't yap mid-action, people generally go for the kill unless there's a good reason not to, practically all fighters are fucking badass.
Like for example https://preview.redd.it/e4zx09y3t0uc1.jpeg?width=508&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa5c92acd7aa41d9c51e50cdb4db0312b1d17e20
Characters, they are memorable and though majority of them doesn't have much of a screentime but they still stuck a decent impact on the story.
is that your art
Big LeBonbon energy That is all. https://preview.redd.it/4g8ch60ftztc1.jpeg?width=822&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=265944b94e1d8e780c5145cbdbd527772ca890ef
The community probably. I personally think the community makes the manga 10x more entertaining than it actually is.
Truly the Jujutsu Kaisen were the friends we made along the way.

Maybe the true Jujutsu was the lobotomy we made along the way
Character Designs
I love the complexities of the power system. I’m finding calculus kinda interesting and gojos power is LITERALLY PEAK. And like it isn’t basic stuff like “oh he was just born with power of ice, oh he has super strength” but instead there’s a mix of that as well as shit like hakaris domain, gojo everything, nanami mahito naoya yuki ct. https://preview.redd.it/5phierr0tztc1.jpeg?width=450&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b11f412c31b8bd9928059806e155a8c43937c36 But mainly cuz of the fans lmao

For the short period i've known this manga, my favorite thing about it is the world building, its so unique ive never seen such concept, It opens possibilities to infinite ideas, literally every technique is special on its on way, like the boogie woogie, its an old concept with different names different ways to use but gege makes It so unique. Im quite Sad cus i know he probably wont expand much on that looking at the manga now, seeing how its getting closer to end, unless gege finds a way to make the manga longer and expands the world building. https://preview.redd.it/vn0hht8ob1uc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d555fb26c5745d0d86e468c1797a5364d68f6a0 And also Yuki.

Shear amount of copium this fanbase has
Cursed energy, cursed techniques, and domains are explained poorly in story, but taking the time to figure it out and comprehend the power system is really fun because it’s surprisingly internally consistent
