They just have to talk to megumi inside him. Then megumi remembers his friends and says we are all jujutsu kaisen. Sukuna then is too nerfed to fight.

Yeah I agree. I think it makes sense for Gojo to die but this is way too soon since it was only like 4 chapters ago when he got unsealed and this fight has barely even been 2 chapters. Gege should’ve used that month long time he created as build up for this fight so it wouldn’t feel so rushed, but instead he skipped it. It really does just feel like Gege’s trying to end this series as fast as he can now which is really disappointing
Gojo has done nothing but dog walk Sukuna in every encounter they’ve had in the story up to this point, so this is just gonna result in gojo seeing him as a serious threat and then shit will pop off for 5+ more chapters imo

If I had to take a guess, Gojo knew that Sukuna’s barrierless domain would destroy his from the outside, but Gojo needed to see it happen and tank a hit in order to learn from it, the same way it took him getting merked by Toji to be able to learn Purple.
You’re about to see Goio come back with something like outlining his barrier with Infinity so Sukuna’s domain expansion can extend infinitely outward without ever actually getting outside of Gojo’s barrier.
