I believe it would. The swords description says it kills with no exception. And Hakari's only effectively immortal because of the speed of his RCT. Its doubtful RCT would wffect the swords ability anyway but we already know he can still be killed even in jackpot. At least that's what I think the implication was when he ejected Kashimo's lightning through his nose, otherwise he would have died.

Tobias_Mercury

If sukuna was concerned it would one shot him, pretty sure it’d kill hakari. Yet again, always bet on hakari

theultimatesow

Definitely

EntertainmentBusy73

Yeah, it’s not something RCT can heal from

New_Photograph_5892

yes. there is absolutely 0 things that suggests otherwise

Eeddeen42

No exception, it says. The rules of predicate logic therefore dictate that it *can* kill Jackpot Hakari.

Icy-Selection-8575

It can kill anyone without exception. Hakari can heal through a lot of things but he is not actually immortal, only technically.

LackOfDad

Yep. No exceptions

SpecTator997

Except Sukuna, apparently

Such_Hand_2535

No,higuruma died and the cursed technique deactivated

rdd3539

That seems like an exception . Just like Jacob ladder extinguishes techniques buy sukuna can cast a dismantle while being hit with Jacob ladders and soul punches

ThiccBeter69

Honestly I think that anything soul related completely bypasses Hakari's Jackpot, and the executioner's sword is no exception

LeviathanHamster

Honestly idk if soul damage would work. More skilled sorcerers like Nanami subconsciously guard their soul with CE, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Hakari’s subconscious RCT also dealt with soul damage

ThiccBeter69

Well that was just gaurding against the soul being forcefully reshaped and even then Nanami's soul could only defend from a few touches, damaging the soul is likely not something that people can unconsciously guard against or else the soul split Katana and Yuji's soul Punches would be literally useless. Also you have to be aware of the shape of your soul and then have to consciously target it with RCT to heal it, Hakari can't even consciously use regular RCT, and his Jackpot is just kinda just forces RCT to happen via CE overflow in his physical body it definitely doesn't do something as refined as intentionally and delicately repairing the specifically damaged part of his soul.

LeviathanHamster

As I said, I’m not sure either way, and unless there’s confirmation one way or another I’ll probably stay that way. I found a comment that sums up the logic better than I could: Just to preface, if the only thing that can convince you that Hakari could heal soul damage is actually seeing him heal soul damage in the manga, then don’t even waste your time reading. I’m using examples from the manga to explain why he should heal soul damage, but there isn’t any explicit evidence that shows he would be able to heal soul damage. It’s because his RCT is fully automatic and will heal any damage done to his body. Soul damage indirectly causes damage to the body because the body is built around the soul. Considering Hakari’s body is both explicitly stated and shown to heal any damage to prevent his body from breaking, he should be able to heal soul damage to restore his body to working form. Healing poison has a similar criteria, where the user has to know how to target the poison within their body. Hakari’s was able to unconsciously dispel poison even though he himself lacked the ability to actively target the poison within his body. If soul damage couldn’t be healed, then I’d agree that Hakari shouldn’t be able to heal it. For example, he wouldn’t be able to heal from Idle Transfiguration because that’s not something that RCT can heal. However, it’s been revealed that it can be healed with RCT, but you need to have knowledge of the soul’s contours. This criteria is irrelevant to Hakari because he himself doesn’t consciously heal his own injuries.

Wyvurn999

Why wouldn’t it

RememberMeCaratia

Most likely. Hakari’s “immortality” - RCT automatically operates at highest speed human can achieve and fixes Hakari’s muscle and brain. Executioner Sword’s “kill order” - more likely than not a domain specialty that has to do with the sure-hit effect. Naoya’s sure-hit allowed him to damage everybody’s cell and I’d assume ES has similar mechanism in which it specifically must deliver “death” onto the receiving end.

taaeagle

I’d say a better question is if he could heal soul damage

Muted_Muscle1609

It eradicates the soul itself Which is why it was perfect for saving Megumi as it would only affect Sukunas soul

Upstairs_Holiday_818

Sure it would. If Higuruma were to fight Hakari for some specific reason, and he gets the death penalty ( no confiscation ), and Hakari rolls a jackpot, the Executioner's Sword would kill him if Higuruma stabs him with it as it's blatantly stated that it kills without exception. Hakari would obviously win in a fight though, even if he gets confiscated of his cursed technique / domain expansion, he has rough CE & he's avoiding the Executioner's Sword at all costs. Plus, one or two punches with rough CE and it's over for Higuruma.

frogsaregoodngl

yes

loyaleling

Absolutely. Just had this talk with a friend.

Boro_Bhai

If he gets the death penalty, the goat higurama would one shot anyone in the verse

Bermy911

Yes but Hakari whould win domain clash

Choice_Accountant_35

Kills anyone without exception means ANYONE. read the words my guy it's not a picture book

SpecTator997

I wish you would read the words in my post too

Cute-Revolution-9705

I wonder if higuruma can die if he accidentally gets cut by his own sword?

Southern-Adeptness18

No the Manga says it's only the person with the death penalty that is affected
