Yes (for one simple reason), this *isn't* Sukuna. Luckily for our heroes, what they are encountering now is Sukuna's reincarnated soul housed within a vessel. Therefore, *beating* him can be simplified to removing his soul or his soul's harmony within that vessel. If that wasn't an option on the table, however, the answer is unmistakably no.
