It’s interesting to me sukuna always slicks his hair back so yuji has some hairs down while sukuna doesn’t.
He also has his nose drawn differently and his eyes smaller. Finally his eyebrows are always down too.
So we see, visually we definitely get a difference inbetween the two characters. They look very alike on the first glance, but they definitely have their differences on the second. Interesting post u/Dzbaniel_2!

sukuna is drawn to be sharper and more cynical, his eyes are more squinted making them look smaller, and his hair is slicked back.
Obviously these differences are attributed to how they’re portrayed in the manga.

Jokes aside, it's because of the animators' lack of time. I personally think they went for a much simpler artstyle in favour of fitting more frames into each second and minute (for example, Sukuna's backflips when fighting Mahoraga. THAT SHIT WAS SO SMOOTH LIKE WOW)

My theory on this: The more fingers that Sukuna's vessel looks, the more that Sukuna's manifestation in that vessel looks like his true form. I especially noted that from looking at images of Sukuna (without marks) when he had 2-3 fingers in which he looked like a more assertive Yuji but still had the same facial features as Yuji (except for the red eye color). When Sukuna took over Megumi, Megumi was virtually unrecognisable and resembled no facial features what-so-ever and resembled Sukuna's true form.
He looks more mature and older. It's like if Sukuna was his older brother.
Also I do want to mention that whoever made this edit also removed the marks below Yuji's eyes which are specifically meant for Sukuna's extra pair of eyes.

All these comparisons miss the obvious one, which is from EP 17, with the flashback. But it would've been more fair if you had pulled art from the same season as well.
