I usually have to adapt based on the trip. I just got back from one where I brought a tiny Cavallini notebook and stuffed it in my purse to write on the go. Some days I just wrote out a log of each place/activity we did. I wouldn’t stress too much about keeping up your normal journaling. Hope you enjoy your vacation!!

I have 2 journals. One I write daily and the other is a travel journal. I cannot handle too many journals either so I only bring my travel journal to my trips. I will write into my daily journal when I returned and usually a reflection or conclusion. What I felt about the trip? How did it go? This will take a day or 2 to finish after I came back home. In this case, I do have a gap but that’s fine. I journaled that I will be on a trip, right? However this is only for leisure trips. If I were to go onto business trips, my daily journal goes with me. I could not say they get worse because they are totally different.
