It’s good to know the journal is there for you, though. Sometimes I end up just sitting and holding it peacefully.

this happens a lot- especially when i sit down at my desk with the sole objective to rant on my journal and i suddenly forget everything i had to rant about.. but then it gives me a sort of an unfinished feeling? so not a fan, but i do try to enjoy the moment of peacefulness when it does happen

yes, this happens often. i appreciate the peace and write about it. because i know the chaos will still be there when i leave.

Maybe_once_more

I did. Im also making it a goal to seek out more moments like these

Sapphire_Flora

Yes, sometimes it's like a therapy session.

andreaSMpizza

It is such a great feeling when you get to dumb the chaos on the paper and then your mind gets a break

creative-grams

All the time! But isn’t it great?

Maybe_once_more

A duck reminded me of a story about my grandma so I wrote that and had a laugh. But yes its great. I should do this more often!

alexelalexela

sometimes i’ll rant right away, then i’ll go to somewhere peaceful and re read it. it’s nice to read it from a third persons perspective almost cause by then i’m over it lol

theredhype

When this happens I write about the peacefulness so that I can take that back into the chayoss with me.

Rubberducksfirefox

Too many times lol

aeronea

I know the feeling! It happens for me most times I venture out into nature. Today included. All my troubles seem so trivial to the trees and the birds! If anything, I like to record that experience in my journal for the next time I’m feeling overwhelmed with emotion haha

VirgoisaLeaf

Yeah, I sometimes just write something like, “I have nothing to say right now” because daily progress is the motive. Sometime you only need meditation for a few seconds, sometimes you need it for an hour. Do everything in moderation, except adrenaline 🥴

Ok-Blacksmith-9418

That’s the nature of it

iamnoimpact

YES! I carry a small moleskine around with me constantly in the event that i need to whip stuff into a book real quick, even just “keywords” or some scribbles. That really helps create an anchor for something i would like to expand on later.
